1941  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recovery of lost Bitcoin Asset. Can this be verify on: October 15, 2022, 09:14:59 AM
FYI, if someone can crack the lost Bitcoin then they also can access all the 21 million bitcoins and can posses all of them. Some claims with quantum technology it maybe possible to crack the private keys but as of now its close to impossible since even with the fastest computer we have on this planet it will take atleast w century to find the keys and access Bitcoins stored in there.

Those two articles posted in OP is mainly talking about how to access the private keys in case if we lose access of it like failure of hard drive where we stored our keys and decryption of an encrypted keys in case if we forgot the password which is likely possible but more expensive also not really 100% guaranteed.
1942  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex withdraw limit real? on: October 14, 2022, 03:15:35 PM
If they actually allow 1BTC for 24 hour time frame for non verified account then it is great but I don't think so the value should be much lower now and I can't able to find the information regarding non KYC withdrawal limit in the official website and with other article seems to be older.
Kucoin do allow unverified users to withdraw up to 1 BTC per day. Below is the last announcement they have made regarding withdrawal limit for unverified accounts.
Announcement Regarding the Adjustment of Daily Withdrawal Limit

Quote
Daily withdrawal limit has been adjusted to 1 BTC for accounts which do not complete identity verification(KYC).

Thanks for the link, but while I am searching now even on bitcointalk there are many members said Kucoin ask for KYC compliance even if their limit is below the level what they mentioned for non verified customers and also some account under froze until they complete KYC so with any centralized exchange regarding KYC or no KYCed account the user should be asked to verify their Identity at anytime which is also mentioned in their ToS so yes there is no guarantee that someone can withdraw as non verified user forever.
1943  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex withdraw limit real? on: October 14, 2022, 01:06:00 PM
....

Kucoin is a centralized exchange but it allows trading and withdrawing when you don't want KYC, but you can only withdraw up to 1BTC within 24 hours with a non-KYC account.

If they actually allow 1BTC for 24 hour time frame for non verified account then it is great but I don't think so the value should be much lower now and I can't able to find the information regarding non KYC withdrawal limit in the official website and with other article seems to be older.

While comparing to Binance they only allow 0.06BTC withdrawal limit for non verified uses and in most cases they will be asking to verify mandatorily when someone do this consistently.
1944  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex withdraw limit real? on: October 14, 2022, 10:13:07 AM
As per their official website registered user with level 1 tier can withdraw upto 10K USD per day but I am not using it anymore for years especially since the hack in 2020.

I just want to give you the warning about their reputation in the recent times is not good so better choose other trading exchanges like Kucoin which still has no KYC trading feature if I am not wrong.
1945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC NOT BACKED BY ECO SYSTEM on: October 14, 2022, 07:34:35 AM
Today One Of My Friends Argued With Btc. Btc Is Not Backed By Any Asset Or Business. So Btc Is Only For Speculation Purposes.

Eth And Other Major Alts Have Asset Backing And Real Use Cases. For Example - For Eth; Smart Contracts Can Be Used In Contractual Deals.
Specially Alts Have Eco System. Btc Does Not Have.

I Stuck Because I Don't Know A Counter Answer To This. Please Explain How To Counter Attack This.

As a common man its understandable that why he asked such question but as someone who know the basics of economy and importantly money we need to tell them these are the lies kept told to us millions and billions of times which registered in everyone's mind so the money we use actually backed by the reserves while in reality the money isn't backed by anything, they just print more money every year which is why we get into inflation and so one.

For the topic if we say ETH and other shitcoins has more use case because they case eco system supported by network then tell bitcoin is more accepted and highly decentralized unlike those shitcoin, the real meaning and purpose is behind the bitcoin not the ecosystem.

So since we got the better technology the system will built on its own like we are witnessing what is the status of bitcoin before 10 years and now.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 13, 2022, 04:01:02 PM
Let's say you join a give away with other user and both have to select a number between 1 and 10, you go for 7 while he goes for 9. The winning number is 8.

If the prize is 0.1BTC what would you do? Split the prize and walk away with 0.05 or Reroll to gamble for the full prize?
Grab the opportunity when it hits you, seriously do you feel going to risk the won reward to risk for winning the maximum reward!

I am never going to be that much greedy and seriously even the half prize can make you feel satisfied so just split, walk and have fun.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: Central authority can be biased. Referring to TikTok on: October 13, 2022, 11:48:48 AM
Not only tiktok every social platform is not giving what the creators are earning, they just give rewards from the earnings and the ranges varies from country to country and also from platform to platform. Even in yoututbe the superchat enabled options get 70% and youtube takes the 30% but the reason they are saying is with their platform only they manages to earn this which seems valid as well.

Any company or central authority will never work for free that is why more people have to utilize bitcoin like technology especially for donation so the receiver will get all of it and its already proven a long back with wikipedia donation.
1948  Economy / Economics / Re: Made in America is back, leaving US factories scrambling to find workers on: October 13, 2022, 08:02:46 AM
Companies are having hard time with recruiting the workers because of their low salary, the cost of living in US is high but these companies had manufacturing plants in country like China where the wage is comparatively low that is why there is void to be filled. And also in general US people are not really interested in factory job (I am not saying everyone just the common fact), they prefer white collar jobs so US companies may need recruitments from google and Facebook not from a company which actually makes physical product. Cheesy
1949  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 12, 2022, 04:08:00 PM
Hey guys!
Some of us are occupied in i-Gaming industry, some are just players...but apart from leisure&profession there are still old good offline casinos all around the world.
Today Im thinking if visiting an offline casino is out of date or still a good place to visit while travelling?
Do you visit casinos when you travel? How often? Which ones?
Let's remember of old good times Cheesy
I don't consider it as out of date to the current trend, casinos are still attracting more people and contribute decent amount to the government revenue as taxes in many places so yes its still on the list of visiting.

But with the evolution of internet, virtual technology and metaverse there maybe a change but I sm not sure I can witness that in my lifetime just like colonizing the Mars mission.
1950  Other / Meta / Re: See this burst poster here. on: October 12, 2022, 03:19:56 PM
Profile.

I have found this guy who has written the last 4 or 5 posts in about a 5 minute interval.

What should I do? Should I report him? Should I tell his campaign manager?

Do you think this way of posting is acceptable?

If it doesn't violates the forum rules then there is nothing wrong with that.

If you feel its bursting post with low quality content then don't forget to use the report to moderator button.

Apart from this if the person is in campaign and the manager may have their own terms and conditions which is normally noticed by the manager if there is any violation and still getting paid, if it doesn't get noticed bt manager then you can use PM.

But the person you mentioned is actually w(y)ou? Huh
1951  Other / Meta / Re: Section to avoid and section to postl on: October 12, 2022, 01:52:28 PM
I noticed the hierarchy in the Forum, so I mean to ask, are there some sections I need to avoid since am just a newbie? Can I contribute to any thread despite the OP's rank?

Yes, avoid posting in the mega threads where there is no discussion is happening all you can witness is full of spam created to meet the quota requirements or as troll, etc.

Post in any section where you feel comfortable but as a newbie you can explore everywhere and find which suits you better for the knowledge you have because in bitcointalk you're a newbie doesn't mean you are lacking knowledge. There are many exceptional low rank members are giving detailed explanation about technical related things which I really don't have any idea.
1952  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Cancel or Stop BTc pending transaction on: October 11, 2022, 04:27:57 PM
Is there any way to cancel a BTC transaction that's still pending on the blockchain? I've read about how to increase the transaction speed online before but not how to cancel or stop a transaction that's on pending before.

Basically you cannot stop a transaction once its broadcasted into the network but you can get back the funds to your own address or the desired address as mentioned above like using RBF or Double spend the transaction.

On some cases the transaction can cancel itself when the fee broadcasted is too low to get into the blocks for next two weeks the transaction will be cancelled on its own.
1953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto withdrwals in USA on: October 11, 2022, 06:58:55 AM
I have a question that

Lets assume that I have USDT 12000 ON my Binance US Account. If i withdraw USDT to my bank account in USA.  What about the possibility and taxation about it?

Basically you can't withdraw USDT balance to your bank account directly means you have to sell USDT to USD first then transfer it to your bank account and according to the US cryptocurrency tax withdrawal of crypto to fiat will comes under capital gains so yes you have to pay taxes but how much the gains will be while converting USDT to USD? Huh
1954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sharing my simple BTC purchase plan with newbies, and clueless holders on: October 11, 2022, 05:30:14 AM

1. I bought the ones I hold in a separate non-custodial wallet and nothing would ever make me touch them in decades (HODL).
2. I bought the ones I hold on an exchange when I speculate a bullish market for it, but exchange them for a stablecoin when a bearish market is detected (I repeat the process often).
3. I bought the ones I use for spots and futures trading, and I exchange part of my profits regularly to fiat, pay for external transactions and add more funds to my non-custodial wallet as explained in reason 1.

With these, BTC is effectively utilized by me, and I hope others could do the same.

Remember you are suggesting to the newbies so with the buy and sell according to the market movements so they can make more profits is simply asking them to take higher risks. If I am there then I would choose the safer option which is buy and HODL. And FYI, most people who bought and HODL became richer for example if someone bought at the peak of 2017 still in the profits even at the lowest price of now which is around 19500. Roll Eyes
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Support Casino Operated By The Bitcointalk Members on: October 09, 2022, 03:48:58 PM
I'm sure by now you have read about a casino review site where the admins are trusted members of Bitcointalk, which  I believe is good for the community because they have a good roadmap and we all know their capability as gambling reviewers
but what if reputable members here decided to put their own casino will you support them and will this become a conflict of interest if they are already or have promoted casinos in the present or in the past, what's your take on this?
Maybe in the future, we'll have one.

Why not as long as they are providing good user experience and fairness in the results. Bitcointalk is a great platform to reach the crypto community all around the world and that is why many people started their career from here even reached the bigger heights which they didn't even dreamt of.

Support each other and spread love, so we can grow strong together... Smiley
1956  Economy / Gambling / Re: FortuneJack experience so far so good but I have a few questions on: October 09, 2022, 10:43:23 AM
I have been disbursing more time on FortuneJack this days since it's been suggested to me on this forum but a question pop up in my head today and I think its better to ask, (1) Binance exchange has collateral fund in case any hack takes place or users lose funds, is there any gambling website that has the same just in case? (2) is there any gambling website that got hacked and reimbursed their users in the past and they still functioning till date?.
IMHO, gambling sites doesn't have feature like SAFU but they don't keep all the funds in their hot wallets, most of the investors funds will be moved to the cold storage so its like 70 to 80% of their funds will be safe even in the total hack. But the question you asked is really urging so in future casinos will have feature like this to make their customers feel safe and lure more people with such satisfied customers?

I also believe the reason why there's nothing like SAFU in gambling sites is because they really do move their funds to their cold storage.
There may be abuses in terms of bonuses or rewards, but hacking is not very often you can hear from gambling sites.
If in case of hacking incident, I think they are fast enough to detect the anomaly.
Though there was one gaming site, Axie Infinity, where hackers got away $620M in crypto.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/hackers-stole-620-million-from-axie-infinity-via-fake-job-interviews/

As I mentioned earlier casinos recognise this idea and become first to implement, casinos are also growing big like exchanges so stay in the competition they have to give better user experience and ensuring the safety of funds.

As a matter of fact the casinos are less likely hacked means they are having better security system compared to the cryptocurrency exchanges?
1957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give me a minute of your time on: October 09, 2022, 10:04:56 AM
With the way companies are going bankrupt this days I think I should warn my fellow Bitcointalk friends, give me a minute of your time.

Forget about how big a crypto exchange have grown, do not leave your coins on exchange, we can never tell which exchange will go down unexpectedly in this bear market.

I have some USDT that I plan to use to buy coins probably when BTC is down to 10k which I believed would happened in September but it never did so I moved the USDT out of the exchange back into my wallet.

Do not relent, do not trust any exchange, trust only your private keys, remember, not your keys, not your coins.
Not your keys not your cryptos that is the simple fact so never use exchanges for storage purpose butnI would like to remind you that holding USDT also has high risk because we never know when it will crash and there are lot of allegations against USDT in the recent days about their reserves for their minting tokens are not really balanced, so for the safety of your portfolio value move USDT into something trustable or even fiat is a good choice.
1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funny way to Describe Bull and Bear Market on: October 08, 2022, 06:17:41 PM
By the way, we need some good advices on Bull and Bear Market on this thread.
Thanks in advance
Human emotions works in that way, if they see a trend they will go behind it until they realize they are at the last of their queue there isn't going to be much benefits for them. But for any speculative asset this is common so when you see people are selling then start accumulating and sell when people are buying and this is simple trick can make you billionaire in few years depends on how much capital you have to start with.
1959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They want your money by all means possible on: October 08, 2022, 04:24:44 PM
1. Visible team members don't mean they are scam free.
2. A audited smart contract project can still scam you.
3. Scammers can spend a lot on their website to make it look attractive just to make you invest your money.
4. High volume on the listed exchange doesn't make a project clean from going scam.

That is why bitcoin is the only coin we can trust and for the fact any project which creates tokens on their own and distribute to the investors can make you to lose all your money if they want that is why we should know the supply and demand so even the creator cannot mess up if the project is really decentralized and works based on the Proof of Work so the only way to create the coin is by mining them not with the simple click.

If a project is on the hype then you can consider it for short term investment and just cash it all out when you made decent profits, don't trap into the FOMO nd FUDs.
1960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I helped my dad bought some Bitcoin last night on: October 08, 2022, 03:05:47 PM
Glad to hear that but the next step is really important which is about cryptocurrency wallets for now if he is only interested in Bitcoin then just suggest the electrum which is lightweight and with simple UI so anyone can understand to use the app in few minutes but make sure he also knows about the fee required according to the mempool clog so the transaction won't get stuck which may really frustrating for the beginners.
