Something's wrong, the option with least votes in the poll is usually right, but it's Friday and the price isn't at $560. That option only got one vote, all the others got more.

I guess it is the middle option... somewhere near-ish to ~570$ ... Usually it is between extremes, but sometimes it happens to be also extremes!
1944  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 19, 2016, 07:54:24 PM
Buy pressure is still bigger than sell, it's just people expecting to buy coins at lower price  Grin

People tend to forget and quite some time has passed since the halfing.

And that Finex rushed the timeline of the shortage breaking point with about 2 months and 2-3 weeks.  Roll Eyes

Does anybody know why my new Core client made all my coins go to another address? That a new feature?
Just kidding.
But seriously.

I am more concerned about the news that US (NATO) is trying to move those 50 short range nuclear warheads from Turkey's base Incirlik military base to another NATO country military base Deveselu in Romania.

Also the kurdish separatists are trying to get more ground and autonomy in south-east Turkey... and feels like Kurdistan might happen as a country in the future. But the only way that might happen is if Turkey gets kicked out of NATO, because it affiliates with Russia and compromises the unanimous voting system in the decision table inside NATO.  Huh

BTCitcoin would go wild if a nuke goes off somewhere in a semi-western country... Black swan event incoming?  Huh  Roll Eyes

Strange dump. Too fast after solidly fought retrace, thought it might go bit more before getting sold. Bears are in the charge.

It's a fake dump. Smiley

The trend seems to be willing to swallow anything that comes in its path... as cheap as it can be!
1947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 18, 2016, 01:55:34 AM
There's only 2000 Bitcoins for sale all the way up to $1000 on Bitfinex, but almost 9000 Bitcoins up for sale up to $1000 on Bitstamp. It wouldn't take much of a pump to go past the ATH on Bitfinex, and the arbitrage bots might be too frightened to trade on it in case their money is taken in a socialised loss scenario.

What are you? ... Nostradamus? Smiley ...

I don't really take in consideration the nonsense you see on exchanges... because its not how reality works! The "off the book" transactions are an evil weapon of secret mass destruction. So... that being said... I'm more excited about Deutsche Bank screaming like a little spoiled child "QE!!!"  Angry ... And it fills me with more joy than I can handle.  Grin  Roll Eyes  Cheesy

waiting for the drop to scoop up some cheap coinz

They will be waking up to that notion one day... and they won't sell low anymore.  Roll Eyes
1949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 17, 2016, 01:05:55 PM
wtf do you think this is??? the US stock market + QE1 2 3 4?

sounds like an idea for a Plunge Protection Team.

Hmmm... There still must be some value in that paper worthless thing called dollar... I heard it still had like 0.02$ value per each sheer of 1$ paper. Meaning they can probably resist maybe 1 more QE before throwing everything made of paper to garbage..  Roll Eyes  (I don't worry about my money... my fiat is made from plastic... meaning it has more value.. aka.. recycling...  rofl..  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy)

You mean 666 Cool

Cheesy ... that number has great potential to dry out in to extinction those satanist dumpers!  Grin

When it comes down to it, most of Bitcoin's problems tend to come from the interactions with the fiat system.

~$70 million of their problems came from their oh-so-clever 2-of-3 wallet implementation.
If not for "the fiat system" they wouldn't have a business (which, as I understand it, is exchanging BTC into fiat and back again).

Once you have bitcoins you shouldn't need to go back to the fiat system and all the problems that come with it.

Get real, Elwar.

I am not trying to be argumentative with you, but merely because you are making an attempt to detach yourself from fiat does not justify that others should engage in such efforts to make meaningful attempts in that fiat detachment direction.

Your proposal is just not realistic for a very large majority of folks who are not going to want to put so much of their financial future into bitcoin and such a likely to continue to be volatile situation.

Actually what he speaks is actually very true. But you just need to find places with enough infrastructure to support that. Like a village or city where everyone uses just BTCitcoin.

*Edit: If you have at least an almost closed circuit economy. Self sustainable in a degree of ~50% at least. Then you will have less and less contact with the fiat system, and you will have less tendencies to indulge the fiat corruption or to keep feeding their repetitive money laundering system.

But traders ignore feelings, right?

I'd say wait for 3-4 days and we will see where we land. Right now it's fear clusterfuck.

[edited out]

Hello!

Thanks for clear and explanatory reply.

Indeed, I was anxious about my plan because I had no plan for down. Now I do just to calm my nerves down. Because today's dip was good enough to cause me to smoke shitloads of ciggaretes.

Though, my story is developing just right: "price will drop a bit but it will recover".

We still see FUD going on with fake threads. But in case it doesn't, I will just buy more.

So... let me give you a bit of insight on how you should be thinking...

For example you should get this concept first in your head: "I am the one who knocks!"

Then... Think of yourself you have 30-40k of bitcoin on some exchange...

After that... How can you move such amounts that no one will figure out how much you have or what you are doing with what you have?

So... after those thoughts you will get to think at a micro level... where you have to do thousand of micro transactions compared to your full 100% amount in such way that no one will notice! But in the same time all of your thousand of transactions must be profitable... But the trick is to feel the market so you don't overload it. Because if you want to trade and get too much profits, you will force invisible forces to notice you... and that's how you create swings in the market and volatility goes ape sh!t on you. So... basically you can predict anything if you are the one that "knocks!..." or in lame man's terms, try to think like the bad guy and accepting yourself in most of the situations that you are the bad guy. That's how you will make profits and have no worries.  Cheesy

Going to have to admit that this isn't looking great, the ass has fallen out of the bottom & we're going down.

Somebody or something needs to stop this slide.

Dunno... it looks like this might be the last dip... "The point of no return!"  Cool

I'm not so convinved that we've seen the last dip.
Sure we've bounced back pretty nice, but the downwards trend still is active.
The next days could be quite volatile.Traders will have fun. Cheesy

I was talking in terms of the big picture... meaning and considering that the Finex incident was a dip... and another dip that started yesterday, that maybe will end today or tomorrow. And that will be the last you will see this price... it will go up, up, up from here. this is : "The point of no return!"

Damn Jay, you need help. At first I thought you were on drugs, now I think you need drugs.

Let him be... he lives in a cage, in the basement of a house that is in a isolated forest, in the middle of a mountainous region, far.. far.. far away from any sort of civilization. If you are not from the CSU to present to him stuff like a cop from the CSI would do... your words are meaningless to him.  Cheesy

This! ....

Right now you see shitload of FUD everywhere, fake news about bitcoin "dying slow death", new fake profiles, and bitfinex trash situation. Don't you just sense fear and uncertainty?

That is one of the signs of "go time!" ... Usually when all news seem to become negative and there is uncertainty being spread all over the place. Well... that is the time when people seem to be buying penny stocks from crying babies.

Sorry, what's HODL??  I'm guessing Hold On/Out... something  Undecided

Here you go with the origins. One drunken misspelling can give birth to an eternal legend.
