1941  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying/Selling Bitcoin for Cash... on: May 12, 2021, 02:07:25 AM
I think that yeah probably the price shouldn't be the same as the current prices, I think the current price is just the average or so in the market. So if you plan to buy bitcoins with cash expect that you might be paying less or more depending on how the bitcoin is going to be transferred to you.
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The higher BTC goes, the bigger the risk/reward ratio and the less buyers enter on: May 11, 2021, 12:39:06 PM
Of course it would be slower when we are already at a high price and almost everyone is already on board.
But that doesn't mean that we wouldn't see it go higher we only have limited supply so the potential growth would continue.
Not everyone is on board yet, there are still a lot of people around the world that doesn't know about it, I would say that we are still on the point where it is getting introduced in the mainstream and it is doing well.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Zuckerberg named his goat Bitcoin on: May 11, 2021, 11:53:29 AM
I think it's Mark Zuckerberg's right to name what his pet is, it's Mark's heart. And I don't think it will change anything for the bitcoin price, it's purely for entertainment
If someone prominent mentions bitcoin, pretty sure that it will affect the prices because they are followed by people and we know that the market bases it's movement of the trend that people are in so I think that this will one way or another is going to cause something in the prices.

Maybe it would be good to read all the posts from the beginning, there are some good observations on the topic of hardware wallets that would be worth considering. As much as HW has advantages, you should also take into account the fact that these are electronic devices that can break down at any time - and then only backup can save you. Consequently, if you already have an idea to store something in a time capsule, it could simply be a backup (seed) generated in a safe environment using Electrum.

It wouldn't break down if you rarely use it, we still have a television in my home that is around 6 years already so I think that a HW will last that much longer. Maybe I will worry about the other things about storage when I already have it in my table but right now, I think saving some bitcoin is top priority.
1945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way of long term holding on: May 11, 2021, 09:31:00 AM
hardware wallets such as the nano ledger or trezzor are the best for you. I as a nano ledger user for 2 years feel safe and there is no loss at all it makes our assets safe
Probably that's the best by far, I plan to buy one this year and fill it with bitcoins and leave it on a time capsule and let it stay there for five years and if the prices do go up in the future then lucky for me because I will get a lot of profit.
1946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is someone worried about the recent decline of BTC? on: May 11, 2021, 08:43:14 AM
Why would you be worried though, I mean it's not the first rodeo of bitcoin into dumping, 2018 was much worse and look at it, it bounced back more than what many expected, just let it be and the market will do its job and it will pump real high when we least expect it.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ibrahimovic under FIFA and UEFA investigation on: May 11, 2021, 07:59:02 AM
think they broke the rules according to FIFA's code of ethics a footballer can be fined and banned from football related activities for a maximum of three years for violating betting rules. UEFA's penal code is not clear ibrahimovic's company owns the fourth largest share in the betting firm bethard the betting company which is expected to make a profit of around 2.5 crore euros in 2019 will not be allowed to invest in 2018 under the rules of world football's governing body FIFA or the European football body UEFA. There are also large penalties for breaking the rules FIFA and UEFA could ban the Swedish star for three years or fine him large sums of money if it is proved that the betting company Ibra has invested.
That's pretty bad in my opinion, Ibrahimovic is a star and I don't think that it will be good for him to fine or even be suspended to play. Also, in the first place, why did that kind of rule existed though, I know that it helps prevent players from trying to do something that will benefit them but to be honest that is pretty stupid if you could allow players and monitor them so players can have investment without the worry of penalties.
1948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the martingale system sucks! (doubling down on losses) on: May 11, 2021, 07:23:10 AM
A rookie mistake is thinking that the Martingale strategy is meant to help you win more games, which it really isn't. It's just there to offer you higher recovery chances by always doubling down on your losses next turn. This of course is a user-case basis and if you think you wouldn't be able to afford committing to the Martingale strategy, then you probably really can't. That's just it.
Not a lot of people knows that they think that it is a way to win against the house. For me, you can only do this effectively if you have the money to go on for long because you are going to incur a lot of losses in this strategy but the payout will be good if you hit the win because you will be able to take some wins and get a break even.
1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPN Global to launch The Future of E-sports: Online Gaming + Blockchain on: May 11, 2021, 06:41:34 AM
They have to be really good though since a lot of eSports tournament are already established and it will be difficult to get in late and ESPN isn't really a likely candidate to host an eSports tournament.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: May 11, 2021, 05:49:07 AM
Addiction is a serious thing and I don't like that people say that you just have to be strong willed if you want to stop addiction, look at this person, he could've stopped when he was around 5k loss but addiction doesn't permit stopping.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling risks during coronavirus pandemic on: May 11, 2021, 05:09:32 AM

Using the pandemic to get addicted to gambling is just an excuse and a very bad one in my opinion. It's like saying I was bored and had nothing to do, so I tried meth.
That's exactly how it starts to be honest, some people are bored to death and they try something exciting, you wouldn't try something bad if you aren't bored or distracted by something right? If it is an excuse then an excuse it is because people are really going to find an excuse after all of this has happened and pandemic is an easy target.

There are many things you can do inside if repressive measures prevent you from going out. Watch movies, listen to music, read books, or learn more about crypto and bitcoin. Play social games and spend time with your family and loves ones. I bought a stationary bike a few months ago and I am sweating my ass of almost every day. Use the time to work on your physique and get in shape. Do pushups and pullups, and learn how to cook and prepare food. No reason is strong enough for a strong-minded person to become an addict in any sense of the word.
Good for you that you are a strong minded person and you found your way of distraction, but not everyone is like you, they probably want to but addiction is not an easy thing to remove.

It knock you off again since you are continuously browsing the gambling boards for sure you will be curious again to try what other experience on their gameplays I know gambling is addicting but if this affect your lifestyle better get out of it and the first step you can do now is to ignore the gambling boards and stay on other section so that you will not back to square one and regain your normal life again.
I don't think so dude, I have been doing signature campaign on Bitvest for over a year now and I complete most of my bonus and never had I relapsed. Doing signature campaign and having an account in Netflix and playing Axie Infinity is a really good distraction for me even though I don't need one, trust me, I tried to play again and test if I relapse but I don't have any fun gambling abymore.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An obvious rigging of Sports. on: May 10, 2021, 10:01:58 AM
It does look alot like how I'd play, if they were drunk it'd make more sense but yea throw is unfortunately not that uncommon in proposition so vigilance is required.   What is harder to detect is special bets on a certain condition not the outright so much, so a bet on scoring at a certain time or quarter or an amount would be specific give good odds and not be as obvious.
Special bets require special conditions so it is a rare one to happen and not that illegal in the essence. Throwing a game is saying something about the character of a person.

Can we consider this really a tournament ? and is this also a skill? sorry but i don't find any inside this game but justa  purely entertainment.

You only need to stay standing and aware, and also release a strong slap?

To each of their own I guess, I mean it has some factors that can be considered to be a sport, there is physical contact and there is a competition between players so I guess it can be considered a sport to a certain degree. Just because it looks simple doesn't mean that it can't be considered a sport.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: May 10, 2021, 08:23:09 AM

Yes, easier said than done. Someone who is addicted to gambling, the moment they recognize it, will make rational plans to stop gambling, but it's not as easy as just making a decision and doing it. He will usually relapse and it is because his emotional state will dominate over him, even though he knows that what he is doing is not the rationally right thing to do.
I was also speaking at a personal experience but the good thing is that I was still young when it happened so I don't have that much difficulty trying to resist my gambling urges, good thing that I found a really good distraction. The relapse is the saddest thing because you felt like you have already won the battle but then the problem reels its head again and you are back to square one, it is frustrating but you have to do it again.

LOL that's an insane sport, it's the first time I'm hearing about it. Does anyone know the rules precisely? The matchs last until a player(maybe we should call them fighters instead) gives up, that's right? Does anyone know if we can bet with cryptocurrencies somewhere on those "fights"?
It is an insane one that's why I did this thread. Also the rules from what I can understand is that there is 3 rounds and any round they can give up if they want to. There are some rules when someone tries to dodge or tries to lessen the damage of the slap, one penalty if the slap misses is a warning but if it continues, the opponent gets a free slap, another one is if the player dodges, the opponent will have another slap. That's like the most basic rule there is.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: May 10, 2021, 07:02:54 AM
If you ponder about it, refraining from doing things is easy you just need to have a proper way to do so. Because when you refrain yourself from not doing certain things, you don't need to pay for that nor have to get any punishment from doing so. instead, you will gain some spiritual and good conduct. Like for example quitting gambling, you don't really need to go to anyone but it is recommended to seek the help of an expert and after that things will be easy because you don't really need to pay for not doing those things anymore.
It sounds easy on paper but if you are actually experiencing it, refraining is a really difficult thing to do. Trust me, I know that when gambling addicts want to stop, they do want to but they seem to not be able to do it. The problem is that if that person doesn't recognize that he/she is having a problem, intervention is useless. I don't know any facilities that caters gambling addiction specifically but rehab programs are a thing in my country although they aren't that famous.

With the slapping tournament it is rare to see muscular ones. Most of the players looks like obese Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Same as this game we've got world strongest man events. Those events looks like an easy pick than the slapping tournament. When we put our money into something based on prediction, it is a must to have luck without which winning isn't ours.
I will put a Youtube link that I was watching in this slap fights. If you have a gut feeling on who is going to win in a slap fight then you should probably listen to your gut because they are probably right.
1959  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: May 10, 2021, 05:28:49 AM
I am watching this slapping tournament on youtube and facebook yet I haven't seen any crypto gambling related to it, but if there is I do think that it is easier to win on that game compared to other games because some of the contestants are really mismatched, there are times that I have watched a big fat boy vs small guy, so basically a small guy cannot do something to win to a big fat boy, the body makes us decide who will win in that tournament.
Yeah, I do think that it is easier to win on this compared to other games since if we have a knowledge how the other player fares then we know who we are going to be our money in. There are some matchups that are even or you don't know who is going to win but that is a rare case and most of the time, the players that happen to have that kind of thing are those that are muscular.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: May 10, 2021, 04:50:18 AM
It's been a while since I looked at the thread and I am quite surprised how the poll turned out in the end. At the start the number of people who sold their signature earnings into fiat currency again was a very small. But now it is more than 60% of the people here who sell at least some of their signature earnings again. This might be related due to the high bitcoin price lately, but still there is so much room for bitcoins to improve. I would not sell any coins tight now. Gambling with our coins is fine because we can grow our crypto portfolio. But once we  sell our coins we won't profit from any future appreciation.
It's not might be the high prices, it is the high prices in my opinion. Although, I would say that I have become one of the 60% that you are talking about and I am starting to save all over again with no about a month under my belt, I hope that nothing eventful is going to happen so I don't have to sell my coins again, I plan to sell it by the end of the year if all goes well.
