1261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going to Bitcoin events on: March 29, 2023, 10:42:46 PM
Going to bitcoin, crypto, blockchain events benefits us in anyway ?
I am something biased at this because of internet sayings, biased in positive side that they are very benefiting and worth my time, share your experiences about going to events is good or bad ,
are you gone to any bitcoin events ? and, in which way it helped you, do you learned new things that is very difficult to learn on internet, do you met amazing people, do going to that events worth your time and money.

If doesn't benefit us that much since those seminars could be held online where you can attain knowledge unknown that doesn't expose your identity which is I prefer due to it can be dangerous at the same time. Maybe at some events for sure there's a lot of freebies and coupon that you can get which make it more fun. I haven't tried to go in bitcoin events, however I've seen some online where they post a lot of pictures of the event. It's more likely a marketing strategy to acknowledge bitcoin especially if its done in public places. A lot of influencers and artists to gain more public attention. If you're aiming to have connections with other people might be better to do it online.
1262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking a partner on: March 29, 2023, 01:33:51 PM

OP with all your questions and all your money, I hope you don't take this personally but trading is not for you. Crypto is not for you. These things require a lot of independence and initiative and the will do learn and do a lot of work.

I agree with this statement, you can't entrust your funds to other people even to an expert in trading. What if the person called a wrong move causes you to lose your moneys?
You can't blame them so the best idea from this is to learn by yourself. Do your own research, try trading with a small amount first to gather experiences for you to have enough
confidence to trade by yourself. We're in the era of people could communicate around the world and share ideas and information. Don't rush yourself take your time to collect
knowledge and experiences. You can't trade for just a short period of time without any idea of what is the possible outcome. Good luck to OP hope you manage your losses.
1263  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 29, 2023, 10:48:37 AM
I think this lies in our environment so that it influences the mindset. so that many rich people are getting richer, and poor people will remain poor, because they associate with the poor and do not want to experience change, so that their lives will continue to stagnate and be in continuous poverty. therefore we must choose an environment to associate with, even though we are poor but if we associate with people who are rich in mindset, then we will have broad insight to become rich

You are right, the environment has a great influence on us. You need to strive to communicate with people who are richer than you and if it is correct to say, better than you, then you will strive to reach their level. This is normal behavior, we try to adapt to any society, no one wants to stand out much, if you get into a company of drinkers, you will also start drinking, if you communicate with people who lead a healthy lifestyle, then you yourself will try to become the same.

From what I've observed, rich people really interact and leave their comfort zone to find many opportunities to improve. Let's say they already rich or became rich, but they don't settle for less but they really find ways where they can improve themselves. They communicate with people have some connections  for example like Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Their businesses doesn't stay for what is it, but its improving for many years.

On the other hand to poor, it's given that they are not financially stable but they kept thinking that they will remain the same like they work 24/7 but no changes. Some people mindset could really changed that fate with just proper planning and consistency. There's many people that I know where they started from nothing due to their hard work which results them to success. Its easily said than done but its already proven a lot of people demand more than they act.
1264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: one mistake that crypto beginners should be aware of ? on: March 29, 2023, 10:31:22 AM
There are a lot of mistakes being made by crypto beginners. I think they made mistakes like choosing an inappropriate crypto exchange platform, thinking only about pricing instead of ROIS, lack of research and planning, and underestimating cyber security. If they were aware of such things, it will be more beneficial for them.

I think there's a lot of topic like this at Beginners & Help where there's many questions that already have been answered. But from your statement OP. It's just a common thing for a beginners to have some mistakes that could help them develop their skills at trading or investing. That's why once you gained an experience plus your knowledge at crypto for a long of period of time it will be easy for you to make a good calls in crypto. Those things you've mentioned are just few common mistakes made mostly by beginners there's also fomo, fud , timing when buying and selling and etc. These what I've been experienced before improving at crypto world.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public Perspective towards Bitcoin on: March 29, 2023, 08:32:23 AM

If the public watch or consume negative opinions or story regarding bitcoin, their mental perspective to it will immediately turn to bad. So when the topic regarding bitcoin brought up, they usually says negative because of what they perceived in the past.

My question is how we can turn their perspective into positive? I have good motive on that
because I also want them to have a better lives by understanding how it works and also how we can chance their way of living by using it.

It's normal for them to have negative thoughts at bitcoin especially first impression. It will widen the negative side especially when they do their own research about it online where they can find a lot of influencers spreads a lot of bad sides of bitcoin which is true since its a volatile system. You could lose your assets in just a second if you don't have enough knowledge.

So how do we turn it to positive side? Show them the benefits of bitcoin. You only need them to have knowledge and experience with it, and knowing how they can flip the bad side can motivate them to make good calls in investing and trading. Much better to have something like a podcast where people with expertise about crypto could share their ideas and questions just like this forum.

1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spread Love with Bitcoin on: March 29, 2023, 07:06:18 AM
This donation made by OP is really a good motive since it's from his own profits in bitcoin. But when he said that he converted the Bitcoin to fiat money, there's no need for bitcoin to be mentioned above since they still received fiat money. However, if the OP mention those money were from bitcoin, maybe it might have been acknowledged.

You could just put a bitcoin logo with your name to be mentioned since some charities ask for your information as a thank you, but some people prefer to remain anonymous. However, I've seen that under the Muslim religion here in the forum bitcoin I found out that it is prohibited, which may have caused the OP to convert it to money. If it's not prohibited it is possible to use it in this manner. But, the fact that bitcoin can even benefit charities demonstrated how powerful bitcoin is. Happy Ramadan and keep spreading love OP!

1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything is cyclical and repetitive. Bitcoin is no exception on: March 28, 2023, 02:46:25 PM
Satoshi already predict the future of Bitcoin from a long time ago.

I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

He was said that in 2010, we're only need to wait the next 7 years more in order to see Bitcoin is really have very large transaction volume or nothing. However he was said about volume, not the price. Maybe Satoshi thought Bitcoin could be a currency and adopted by many countries, because when Bitcoin is adopted become a legal tender, obviously it will encourage people to use it for daily life.

No one can predict the market. Even you as the maker of Bitcoin couldn't have an idea that it will worth a lot as of today. It took years before pumping a lot with its demand. Imagine the volatile system of bitcoin so you can't confidently say that it will reach to the moon.

Bitcoin could be already used as an alternate currency even before. With its popularity and value as of now, people have an idea what is bitcoin so it can be adopted as a currency in our daily lives. You could already see some businesses, transactions and mode of payment outside the internet so I think it can be used as an "alternate currency" since we're still sticking to fiat money. Because if we're gonna use bitcoin as our currency today, I don't know what would be the economic situation to our world once we adopted bitcoin as our currency.
1271  Economy / Economics / Re: Is some certain lifestyle a waste of money and time ? on: March 28, 2023, 10:37:49 AM

Here is what happens to my friends and me and I am sure this is a reflection on different financial values and life attitude in general. Well, I don't drink any alchohol while a few friends of mine love drinking very much. They would gather to have dinner/drink almost every day(at least four times a week). I am often invited but due to my no-drinking habit, I usually turn the invitation down.

Isn't this considered as alcohol addiction? Four times a week seems a lot if you count it in months they drink like 16 times? OP also mentioned that isn't just a simple drinking session so you wouldn't expect a cheap alcohol drinks. Having gathering for like weekly if it continuous it will drain their money. Even if I like to join them for drinking but knowing the fact that OP stated obviously I would turn them down. Just simply say no you could have save a lot of money where you can use in investments much more likely practical.

Quote
The average cost of such dinner/drinking is equivalent to 1/5 the average monthly income in the city where we live. So every month, the cost for these "gatherings" consumes all the income that a man can earn for months

With this statement I could say that they must be rich or is just that they addicted in drinking. That's no joke for earning a lot just to use them all at alcohols. If they just an average man where they also earn an average income then good luck for surviving everyday because they won't last long.

1273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I still believe I am on the right path on: March 27, 2023, 03:01:24 PM
We're all clueless about the continuos pump of bitcoin. OP mentioned the FUD impact to the market cause them to let go in bitcoin. Its crypto nature to have a volatile market that you wouldn't be sure in decisions you make.

The basic of trading is to "buy low, sell high" if you'd put your money as investment and not scared to risk it since its better to invest the money that you're afford to lose, then maybe you're in the moon already.

Its fine to have experiences like this I always consider them as character development since you can always learn from it. For a long time you'll have wise decision making and good calls.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Evidence that I actually invested for my baby on: March 27, 2023, 09:51:14 AM
@Victorybit1, why a new topic when the old one still exists? Besides, no one is interested in any proof of whether you have invested something or not, that should be your private matter.

True, OP could send proof from the existing topic making another one is unnecessary. The fact that you don't even need to prove to anyone that you're investing for your baby . It's your own business in the first place. People would really love to find a criticism in others process and success. Focus on your goals, good luck!
1275  Economy / Economics / Re: Is capitalism killing morality in the name of the law? on: March 27, 2023, 06:49:43 AM
Usury is an immoral profession in almost every society. But today this immoral profession has a modern counterpart. Its name is banking. And banking is regulated by law.

Making money by prostitution is an immoral profession in almost every society. But today this immoral profession has a modern counterpart. Its name is porn industry. And the porn industry is regulated by law.

Do you think moral concepts are being killed by capitalist imposing laws who want to make more money?

There is the famous saying that prostitution is the oldest profession in human history, so in our past people must have tried to regulate it for a long time already. In my country it's legal too and is nothing evil, because it gives better protection for the workers. If something is illegal it doesn't mean people won't do it, it's just that it will be hidden from the law. Capitalism isn't really at fault here because it has been around much longer than we have capitalism.

Even before, prostitution is already considered a job to earn money. So we can't say that capitalism is involved in making businesses like this. We're all aware that we people have a lust side where they found it as source of income by paying for your body. But from this era, it evolves to online which is onlyfans account where they can be safe at home. If it doesn't pay well then people wouldn't sell their morality and dignity. But from these days capitalism involved could guarantee your safety unlike doing your job alone.
1276  Other / Off-topic / Re: There are A lot of Scammers on Internet than any other platform on: March 26, 2023, 03:44:28 PM

Hi guys I have joined crypto since a very long time maybe form 2018. At that time I have had no knowledge and I went to join some airdrops but earnings was very low. Here I met many new telegram members and everyone trying to Scam with with me.

From your post OP which talks about the airdrop here, its not only about the scammers that trying to engage new users to invest but also they drop fake airdrops when you click it, it will drain your assets. It would be better to surround yourself with a group with good background because seems like you can already tell the difference about scams and legit. I also salute you from trying out different way of earnings.

Quote

Mostly of them are from USA, Nigeria and UK. some people use Women voice and they trap new people to join investment scheme and other such things.
As telegram is much more secure than any other Social media that's why there are a lot of Scammers than any other platform. And I think that sucks. And these are the people in which new People don't believe in crypto and we have to change it.

Of course it will be a group of scammers so they can easily work together to scam newbies like acting that they are like you trying out airdrops. If people think already think that telegram is secured then they will let their guard down causes them to get scammed. You could simply report them online for the others to be aware of specific group or person to avoid them.

Quote
I have blocked almost 100+ Scammers and there are more people coming and everyone has their own strategy to Scam with us. Is this happened to you or only me.

That's a good effort for your security, you could actually edit your privacy settings to avoid getting unknown messages from unknown numbers. It already happened to me before but once I edited my settings its all clear and you could actually use telegram without scammers but always double check.

1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 26, 2023, 02:57:08 PM
Recently, a Uganda pastor who won 100million shillings decided to shut down his ministry. This left me with several questions in my head, such as ' Do religious leaders gamble? Is it right for religious leaders to gamble? Knowing fully well that most of them preach against gambling in their religious places. What is the ethical and moral implications of gambling, particularly in the context of religious practices and beliefs?

Well, priests are human and some even have sex despite being forbidden to do so (although depending on the type of church, not all are forbidden to do so), so I am not surprised that they gamble. In this case, given that he was betting and after winning that amount he has decided to shut down the ministry, it seems to me that he is going to indulge in earthly pleasures for a while.

I agree, even pastors have a wife because there's a belief that they are not allowed to have a intimate relationship with their opposite sex, same with the nun. It's like playing outside even your parents said that you're not allowed to. But I expected that if he really devoted himself as a pastor maybe he'll donate some of his winning to charity. Of course we people have a side where we'd like to feel the enjoyment and excitement to our life so maybe he choose this side. But shutting down the ministry makes me think that he doesn't even want to be a pastor that shutting it down is unnecessary or maybe he'll be doing gambling and no ones gonna look for the ministry.
1278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is storing bitcoin is more secure in iPhone than in an Andriod phone on: March 26, 2023, 02:40:10 PM
Most of us keep our bitcoin and crypto in wallets stored in either iPhone or Andriod phones. Even we have an exchanges accounts app on our mobile phones.

It's true that people have different phone devices which is IOS and Android but we can say that IOS has a better app installment due to it has authentic apps than androids where you can't fake an app. False advertisement whenever you click them it can cause your phone to get hacked and drain your assets so from observation IOS has a lot more safety than Androids. Even still turning on the pop ads block your phone can still be prone to a virus.

Quote
Since,  iOS offer better security and low chance of malwares etc, is it better to buy an iphone to store our crypto or even an Andriod phone is enough for this purpose?

Let's be honest when it comes to storage both is the best. When it comes to phone features Android is the better but we're talking about the safety and security of our assets so IOS is better when engaging to transactions, investing and trading.

1279  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: March 26, 2023, 12:45:53 PM
Although he is financially one of the richest businessmen in the world, it is also worth noting that the share prices of his other companies could fall through losses on his Twitter purchase. In my opinion his main mistake was disregarding public sentiment. What is your concern?

He is a genius and he will certainly surprise you and everyone.

Maybe not all his companies will skyrocket,  but most of them are

Let's not confuse Elon's eccentric personality with his abilities and virtues, which he clearly has.

Elon Musk got like millions of money so probably he know what he is doing.

I think it's a good call to buy twitter since many traders and investor are active at twitter. Its like when he mentioned the dogecoin and it pumped so hard. He could easily make calls for him to decide to manipulate the market and values. And it's true that maybe his other companies could get affected by his decisions still it will be the reason of the rise of other companies.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to accept crypto payments? on: March 25, 2023, 02:10:12 PM
I am wondering what are the ways to accept crypto payments in an online business. Should I share my wallet address and ask clients to send payments to it? Isn't it troublesome? Payments could be sent to the wrong wallet address and also it would be difficult to manage the transaction history. What should I do?

I think it's a good idea to put your address if you want to receive payments from cryptocurrency and to confirm it, you can ask for proof of transaction hash from consumers who transact with you, because from transaction hash you can check the payment he made (date, time and amount), so you don't need to worry if he cheats you and if he enters the wrong address for payment, then I think it's his fault.

Putting your address is hassle for any customers that may cause them to mistype and send it to other address due to type error. By that people would rather pay fiat money since it's less hassle but there's a way you can use "QR code" so they could easily scan your address to direct send to you their payment. And I thin it's a dumb thing to do if you put your address public its like putting your cell phone number in public then you'll get a prank calls. If you don't feel secure with QR code there's a devices that can ensure your transactions security and safety. You can't blame your customers by your method of payments since it's too complicated process that you can fix.
