Yea, I have even been just getting the site being down quite often as well as just slow load times.  Wonder if there is some testing going on for that huge expensive upgrade.
1962  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: July 25, 2015, 04:48:29 PM
Hi

Im new with hashnest, can i ask which is the best hash to invest in? S5?

Each one has positives and negatives depending on what your looking for.  Do some research on the various hash options and form a conclusion based on your investment style.
1963  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BUYING hardware from hashnest on: July 24, 2015, 04:52:10 PM
I remember that hashnest stated that if their  hardware is not profitable anymore and they take away our contracts we will be able to redeem our hardware,BUT is it posible to choose to redeem the hardware while the hardware is still profitable? And how will I do this?

No, in the ToS, they will not sell the hardware until it is no longer profitable.

So it sounds like you could buy the hardware if BTC price declined enough. How long does it need to be unprofitable?

Here is the quote from the S4 ToS page

Miner Redemption

1.    If due to falling bitcoin exchange rate or increase in mining difficulty, the electricity fee is greater than 90% of mining revenues, mining contracts on Hashnest will enter a “redemption waiting period”.

2.    As we do our best to keep mining contracts profitable, during this waiting period, revenues will be paid out according to the PPS method.

3.    If owing to a rising exchange rate, the ratio of electricity fees to PPS payout is lower than 90% for a period of ten continuous days, then mining contracts will revert back to the PPLNS method.

4.    During this waiting period, if electricity fees are greater than revenues for a sustained period of ten continuous days, Hashnest reserves the right to retire the machines. When machines are retired, a user’s contract will then enter into the “hardware redemption period”.

5.    Prior to a machine entering into this hardware redemption period, Hashnest will not accept any requests for hardware redemption.

6.    During the hardware redemption period, users are given a period of fifteen days during which requests for hardware redemption must be made.

7.    Customers holding enough GH/s to constitute an entire machine of the associated type (e.g., 1155 GH/s of Antminer S5) are eligible to convert that amount of GH/s into the used unit of the associated type. If a user does not have enough GH/s of the associated kind to exchange for actual hardware, then this user is not eligible for hardware redemption.

1965  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Who are some of the biggest scam artists in bitcointalk? on: July 24, 2015, 02:41:15 PM
There is already a very large thread detailing various scams with dates and amounts and information about each.  I will have to see if I can find it for you.

EDIT: Here you go...

1966  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC launches fixed term deposit account on: July 24, 2015, 04:38:37 AM
Dropping the banking interest rate from 8% to 6% was unfortunate. I hope you reconsider and bring back the 8% rate. At only 6% return I think you will see bitcoin moving from HaoBTC to Hashnest PACMiC v2.

The issue is with Hashnest, you're tying up those funds and may or may not get back the principal (depending on mining difficulty). With HaoBTC, you can pull them out at any time, never losing any principal and getting free funds on top of that.

No offense to HaoBTC on this point, but Hashnest has been around a lot longer and is more trustworthy IMO.  I am not calling anyone anything, but this is still a very new company.  Honestly, I am on the edge about what to do with my deposits.  6% seems just too low to justify the risk, but I haven't withdrawn yet.  On the other hand, dropping the interest rate shows a level of trustworthiness instead of just paying out dividends that are very high and unsustainable to try to lure more people in.

Again, the issue is that with one, you're buying something that most likely will never ROI. So you're going into an almost guaranteed loss from the get-go, no matter who you're purchasing it from.

The PACMiC is never going to ROI?

At a difficulty increase of 5%, 1 TH/s will become unprofitable in roughly 192 days.
At a difficulty increase of 5%, 1 TH/s will mine 1 btc in roughly 139 days.

That doesn't seem like a guaranteed loss from the gitgo, I agree there is a chance, but is it any higher than a new company running away with deposits?

Why don't you post a link to your casino?  I highly doubt you would have the money for some expensive scripts, but then not have the money for hosting and domain and be willing to sell 5% of the company for $10.

By that logic, your valuing your company at $200, which would include any assets you own such as scripts, and paying $200 for scripts are not "expensive scripts"
1970  Economy / Lending / Re: Hello. I need Loan 0.2 will pay it 0.25 on: July 23, 2015, 03:05:06 PM
Thank you.. i did not know that rule

I doubt that, I looked through your other 7 posts and 3+ of them say something along the lines of not trusting people on the internet, then you ask for a .2 btc loan.
1971  Economy / Lending / Re: Hello. I need Loan 0.2 will pay it 0.25 on: July 23, 2015, 02:46:15 PM
Hello..i want loan 0.2 and will pay it 0.25 after 4 days.
i promise you won't regret  Kiss

New Account, No History, Offering No Collateral, and Looking for a fairly large loan.

I would say your chances of getting this are zero and you will probably be labeled as a scammer now.

anyone know when it will be back in stock?

I believe they said they would open up sales in August for the next batch of chips.
1973  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Anybody selling ~40 BTC? on: July 22, 2015, 09:32:01 PM
The guy is willing to do an in-person local trade and likely contacted TC through a non-private means of communication if that is the case, so privacy is sort of a moot point. Anyway, you don't have to pay 6% for privacy, and for legitimate traders, who pay their taxes, privacy isn't worth 6% on a five-figure trade. That's not to mention there are a plethora of traders willing to do way better than that well into 6 figures. You should be on your knees kissing a trader's feet if he'll give you even 2% on a five-figure trade - that is a huge win.

Back from lunch, sorry for the late reply. But anyway, you are correct: Privacy isn't really a factor.

He is offering Bitstamp + 5%, cash in mail or f2f, but I'll check back with him and see if he he's amiable to any other non-reversible forms of payment.

I can do WU and we can come to some agreement about fees, I can only transact 2K per day through this method.

EDIT: This would probably be quicker for him anyway due to immediate pick up of funds.
1974  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Anybody selling ~40 BTC? on: July 22, 2015, 06:22:18 PM
Got a local buyer who is looking for around 40-42 BTC for cash-in-mail or in person. Since I'll be serving as escrow for this one, it'd be nice to just do it in one deal instead of a bunch of small batches. Anybody selling?

What rate is he paying?  I could do this broken up between a few deals at coinbase rate * 1.06%
1975  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does investment option is the important feature for a gambling site? on: July 22, 2015, 01:45:06 PM
But also, having investors means lower profit for the house (aka you).  If your starting out, it is probably not necessary and you won't have the big whales gambling on your site until you have made some reputation anyway.  So start your site off, gain some trust and notoriety, then, if your bankroll prohibits your expansion, open up investor based options.
Lower profit for the house? Investors share loss with the house too. So it's even. And most sites don't give investors 100% of their profit. They give around 85-95%. The rest 15-5% is used for the site development and maintenance.

Yes lower profit for the house, if you have the entire bankroll then you keep all the profit (if your a casino with a -EV and not idiots you will eventually be in profit), if you own 50% of the bankroll, then the other 50% minus whatever part of profit your charging your investors is gone.

So yes, it is lower profit for the house and most certainly not even.  You would not make as much money having half the sites bankroll compared to the entire thing.

1978  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Trying to buy a massive amount of hardware!!! on: July 20, 2015, 04:41:58 PM
good luck. that is all I have

That is some excellent advice.  Also some more information would be necessary, what are you looking into buying?  What is your budget?

Just some reference, I had bought over 100K worth of equipment from Bitmain throughout the S1 through S3 phases.  When I asked for a large deal discount and was ready to drop another 30K at once I wasn't given any extra off.

Since no one else is really selling equipment, you may just have to go with nothing or Bitmain.

I can do this for bitstamp * 1.06 immediately.
So how much in my paypal?

Bitstamp rate is 278.01 so ((278.01 * .94)*.04937908) = 12.90 sent as friends and family to avoid fees.
