1961  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The danger of blaming everything on politics on: September 05, 2023, 05:22:50 PM
While we dey blame politicians and government, we still need to dey strive to do something. Yes it is not easy when the government no even create anything for youth to start with but we still no need to give up. The internet don help the youth no be small because if no be am hmmm the cry for too much. Nigerian youths self dey join old people dey tribalistic instead of facing the reality, you go still see a youth wey go tell you say the people wey dey power now be the best just because they are from the same ethnic group.
1962  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINS.GAME | THE MOST REWARDING CRYPTO CASINO on: September 05, 2023, 04:45:15 PM
How often will see new casinos springing up. Sincerity to customers is the challenge because just when you are settling down with them, they disappear into tin air. That is unfortunate, so reputation is important.

However, I saw you have everyday bonus and I wanted to check it up but was requested to register, not yet.

You would better advertise your casino by running a signature, that could help you navigate through more users.
1963  Other / Politics & Society / Re: changes need to be made on: September 05, 2023, 02:30:33 PM

its turned the whole purpose of the invention of this currency that was suppose to be different to the fiat world, into a fiat structure of governance world with all its PR campaigns and deception by the ass kissers

we should actually be questioning the authority. scrutinising them and having ways to oppose them should they abuse their position..

bitcoiners were on the right path 2009-2014 but since then its as if too many people have been duped and stroked and ass kissed into yielding into allowing the control to gain more power.

the politics of bitcoin has changed since the olden days. and we really need to be scrutinising, highlighting, reviewing the things proposed to be changed and not just bow down all the time nor get told to shut up

These points all goes to the rise of CEX. It is right that the popularity of centralized exchanges is the major push away from the DEX. I think first we have to look at the role that DEX have played that gives room to the overtake of it. DEX community have not really been there in the eyes of users or crypto interested persons.

Just few users even know the names of DEX like Uniswap, PancakeSwap, 1Inch, SushiSwap etc but every user of crypto have heard of binance, coinbase, if you go to CMC and other crypto platforms CEX feature more. So I think the nature of DEX have taken it backwards and the government again enjoys the control that they are getting from the regulation of CEX and casinos to the extent that they are licensed. However, I believe that the time will come when the bitcoin and blockchain foremost principle will be uphold.
1964  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Scammers won't mind kicking those who are already down on: September 05, 2023, 01:20:20 PM
Scammers sabi say people dey greedy and Dem go still dey fall. Na Yahoo guys work be that wey dem go dey awake all night ontop lapy dey hussle illegal ontop people email. One click is enough to turn into night mare but some people go still click and enter details because of say dem no read well, too much in a haste without being careful to check URL of where the email is coming from. Look well no be cause, you no fit dey do unlike work yet falling for online scammers.
1965  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Tribunal court don set judgement for PEPT on: September 05, 2023, 12:30:54 PM

3: Una don ever hear say dem unseat any sitting presido for Nigeria thro court- NOooo!

So my Bloodas and my 6ters make we just melembe nothing new go happen. Make we just dey double our hustle while we wait for another four years of another general election to come.

Well that doubling hussle still make sense as people dey talk but me I know say people wey dey government still dey fear for the judgement wey dey come tomorrow because dem don ban many television stations and radio station plus journalist from Aso rock to avoid covering wetin dey happen there, dem want only those wey dey wine and dine with them. Make we never despair, tomorrow fit better for the majority of Nigerians because we know say no be them Nigerians vote for. Since democracy wey PDP rule for 16years and for past 8 years of APC, no any direction for the country. Make dem give Obi chance because na him win the people's mandate.
1966  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How to avoid virtual bank apps hack when phone got stolen or misplaced on: September 05, 2023, 11:38:06 AM

How to prevent this from happening:
1. Make sure that your sim card is pin protected, this way it will be difficult to get access to your Sim when the phone is on, even if they are able to unlock the phone, the sim will remain locked and that gives you the advantage of making sure that your mobile wallet remains inaccessible.

Men I think say na the idea of using separate phone as SmartCharpa talk go work pass because when those guys request for OTP to do anything from your phone and it is sent to a different phone that is not in their custody that means all their labour and wicked effort to collect your money no go work. This is even clear to see as you even dey use am for your house when you get two phones as alert dey come to another phone different from the one you use request. This na a nice security check already. So we go try no dey comot with all our phones at same time. Like if we want to go out and we want to do some transaction for the place we dey go, we fit do am finish before we begin comot with only one phone.

2. Make sure to always password your phone, some phones are easily jail break but it is better than not having anything at all, this can give you time to do a welcome back before they get access to the phone.

Password good for phone and sim even to lock our messages but I been dey discuss with some guys wey dey do tech things and how to unlock phones without having the password apart from flashing the phone because if you flash am that means you go lose everything on the phone, meaning say you no go see anything wey you dey look for. The guy say e still dey possible for yahoo guys to unlucky your phone without your password, say some dey use application untop the phone self and dem go bypass the password and get access inside the phone. The guy say whether na windows 10 abi 11 dem dey use for that kind work but say na only iphone dem no dey fit access without password. Anyway, me I no no though but I no still know if dat kind windows 10 abi 11 go still fit access sim wey dem luck.

3. Always have less money on this virtual app to protect yourself from this kind of emergency, this can help you in case the banks try to run away because there has been a lack of transparency from them, especially Opay and Kuda.

Stay safe, stay healthy.

This one we no need to talk am twice because them no dey tell blind make say war don start. Blind man no deff so him go hear gun shots. Push your money away from all these new payment platforms. In fact, they can be scammed self as far as I can think but at least if your money dey for bank or btc, you just have to take responsibility of your own

Well the thing be say we ourselves need to dey security conscious, make we just dey careful. Use different phone for app and OTP, Log out email, apps or any other stuff,  Go out with one.

Op your thread make sense.
1967  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security in the world has been shaken by Russia's actions on: September 04, 2023, 08:34:02 PM

friendly countries between the two countries have made every effort to stop the Ukraine vs Russia war but it is difficult to stop a war between countries when each of them has interests that they want to protect and fight for (we can say they are very selfish), my country is far from Europe but the impact of the war between the two countries is quite felt in our country, things disturbance we have felt like the exchange rate of our country's currency, delays in import-export goods and also fuel shortages.

Actually the war has lasted more than it was expected the public but Putin seem to have felt it was a long battle and was prepared for it with the way he is still going on. He knows Russia has some important resources that the other European countries rely on and out side Europe like crude oil, grain. That of grain has really caused many food items to sky rocket high. However this is not the reason your country's currency has dropped. It perhaps dropped because of the policies from your government except there are third party trading of your currency to foreign currency like dollar to buy goods at your border, this can cause high exchange rate.
1968  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 04, 2023, 07:50:13 PM
^  It might be another September red candle or we're due for a green one.  Wink Wink Wink  We really can't tell with these things.  No matter how hard we try to make the right predictions, all we can really do is make the trade and hope we're right.  All we can really control is when and where to take our stop loss.

Anyway looks like the sentiment is split between sideways and up.  I'm on the same boat.  I think we're due for a leg up.

I think I have the same view you and with the feeling that it is still time to DCA on bitcoin because we have barely 3 months to the end of the year leading to next year halving. Also with the last two weeks news on Elon musk selling his bitcoin that make price to drop to $27k and now a little stable against the down speculation, maybe the price appreciation has started consolidating.
1969  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Grow your wealth with cryptocurrency. on: September 04, 2023, 07:01:36 PM

Do you think cryptocurrency users need to grow wealth?

Anybody fit grow wealth no be only crypto users. If you want to grow wealth then you go need to dey financially prudent and dat one go make you no spend money unnecessarily. And you go get investment acumen so that you can build small money into big money by investing what you have, not keeping it in the bank.

No be until you invest all your money inside crypto and wait for next circle of halving be say you don do investment and moreover people dey invest wrongly by buying coins wey don dey pack up already. In any case if someone want to invest inside cryptocurrency, e just better make you zero your mind invest am for bitcoin, altcoins fit take you back to square 1 no matter your research before investing.
1970  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis like 1930 it's impossible now we are use to with good life on: September 04, 2023, 03:52:23 PM
Progress is not always a good thing

Lol I would not agree that progress is not always a good thing but it comes with its challenges. It depends on and individual but the society must not remain stagnant, it must evolve and if it does, it will have both negative and bad effect but for discussion purposes some people may prefer the old time past and that is why they refer it to the good old days, mostly the old folks while the new generation which is the young may not really have the leverage of comparison because they didn't live in the past. Surely, the modern time has its challenges but it is well taken care of by same modern infrastructures. Like in health, the diseases and virus that the world withness are also taken care by modern technology.
1971  Other / Politics & Society / Re: corrupt practices of African democratic leaders. on: September 04, 2023, 03:12:06 PM
I think that relying on the military to solve problems isn't the best strategy. They need governments that truly come from the people's choice. Governments that are fair and not tangled up in corruption or favoritism. They shouldn't be using the military to kick out leaders who were elected by the people. Instead, African leaders should team up and encourage democracy and good, honest leadership across the continent.

You have stated the ideal situation but the ideal is not being actualized in the African setting. All the democratic government that has been overthrown by the military have been accused of one corruption or the other. Corruption is the umbrella covering every other activities that doesn't allow the masses enjoy the natural gifts in African soil. Military intervention is not always better but the African leaders set such incident up by themselves because they are never fair to the people they are leading. I hope these countries that are now led by military would set a good pace for true democracy when they conduct and hand over power to the next democratic government.
1972  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Tribunal court don set judgement for PEPT on: September 04, 2023, 02:45:34 PM

But watin come interest me be say, TRIBUNAL COURT talk say this particular judgement, say e go dey televised. Say we go watch am live for TV, but I been remember when some parties been dey file petition from the beginning of this matter,  say make the court allow livestream of the proceedings of the court, Omo the court no gree for that motion oh. But how come now, them wan livestream the results but them no gree livestream the process way lead to the result. My people how Una see this matter.

Na true wey you talk say when the parties apply for livestream of the court proceedings say court no gree but now dem want go live. Anyway, then and now no be the same thing. Me and majority of us been want am like that then unto say we want to dey get updates by ourselves but the court no gree. Them refer to the constitution say no where e dey say make dem take court proceedings to public, so the constitution already kill those application natural wey make them dismiss am. Them say such decision na at the discretion of them wey be judge to decide and there oga wey be Mr Tsammani say that go dey bring drama and people go dey carry court do caricature for the proceedings.

So I think say now wey dem want go live na because no be proceedings. Na judgement e be meaning say the lawyers no go dey involved unto all those lawyer dramas. Anyway make we hope say Wednesday go be a bright hope for the youth and the poor. People dey suffer in the midst of plenty.

1973  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: My mind is no longer here. on: September 04, 2023, 12:55:34 PM

The feeling pushes you to do something that you did not imagine you could do before.

Was it everyone into humger or poverty that end up doing the right thing they ought to do? most of them engaged doing illicit activities that ruined their lives the more without repentance.

Yes it is a wrong assumption and notion to think that hunger is the factor that push someone into what is good, no. What happened is that there is destiny that manifest with time.

Hunger is not responsible for the reason people got better financially because If you are a notorious person, when you are hungry you can only think of nefarious things to do or except we agree that people should do heinous things to get rich. But on a normal, I don't believe it is hunger that push people into what they do but time met with destiny. There are naturally lazy people who have also succeeded after their down time because time met with destiny.
1974  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy is now being powered by cryptocurrencies. on: September 04, 2023, 12:19:45 PM
This is what happen when someone is only understand about the theory than practical.

I live in a country where the minimum wage is $400 and I will break down my daily spending. Let's say every Bitcoin transaction cost for $0.5 every transaction, in the morning I need to buy a cup of coffee for $0.75 and a sandwich for $1, in the afternoon I need to buy fried rice for $1.5, then in the evening I need to buy cookies and bread for $1.5, I also visit a gas station to buy fuel for $5.

This mean my daily spend is $0.75 + $1 + $1.5 + $1.5 + $5 = $9.75, this what the cost if I pay using cash or digital cash.

If I pay with Bitcoin, then my daily spend would be $9.75 + ($0.5 x 5) = $12.25

Which one is cheaper, using cash or Bitcoin for daily spending?

This is an analysis that shows that in a long time fiat will still be around because if you look at the fees for just a $ worth of coffee, sandwich and other little exigencies, you will see that bitcoin will be more preferred for major payments and not for little expenses to run the home. This shows bitcoin and fiat to exist side by side and moreover, bitcoin is more important for privacy payment deviod of third party. I would rather retrain myself from spending such fees for things like daily spending while using fiat to run such.
1975  Other / Politics & Society / Re: corrupt practices of African democratic leaders. on: September 03, 2023, 10:23:25 PM

should Africans agree for military takeover of all the Africa nations for proper restoration of African glory. or they should remean in corrupt democratic government .
what are your say on this......

I have heard the saying that the worse kind of democracy is better than the best military rule but African leaders were or are leading the people of Africa with dishonesty, impunity to the law which is very important.

If the military could return the people back to democracy with an election, that will be fine. However, that is another difficult task to do as they say it is not easy to give up power when you have it .
1976  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What's the next Trend After Japa? on: September 03, 2023, 09:42:45 PM
First I want talk say you no mention the graduate parol levels. Like e get when e be say for naija if you never enter university or poly, you never begin and because of that almost every family get one graduate there.

Well the japa level unto another trend wey go follow am, hmmm me I see say the level go be when we go begin see deportees. Like time go come wey some men go dey use their hand go airport say dem want come back unto say suffer go still dey there when people don full for mouth and the economy don dey over stretched. South Africa now dey face dat kind of situation as men don dey leave dere because of hardship and infrastructures wey don dey drop.
1977  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis like 1930 it's impossible now we are use to with good life on: September 03, 2023, 06:58:06 PM
I get to understand the point of what you're saying. We're living in the modern day so basically life is truly better than of 30's.

With vast opportunity and with the help of modern technology, anyone can do the impossible before like working for someone who's from offshore and just stay at home and work all day long sitting in front of his computer in his bed room.

But you know what's the problem these days aside from economic status of each individual? The stress has gotten bigger than before. And that's like a stress reliever when someone eat out and treat themselves to release the stress hormones.

Although it's not that as luxury as what you're saying, typical living is still enough for someone but can't afford a luxurious life. We tend to be more grateful these days as we've gone through a lot.

To the extent that you alluded that now is better than the 1930s, have you asked around within the older folks to know if they would concur with you... Truly they won't. They will tell you life was far more better than what it is today. That they prefer the undiluted air and the natural breath they had without diffused with carbonmonoxide. They will tell you they enjoyed the serene and tranquil environment they had. What about the natural foods that more or less is a recipe for longevity, what about inflation and poverty that has left luxurious life to the exclusive of the rich and many more they could point at.

If you want to do a comparison of the life back then and now, you will see it is a whole lot of array you want to discuss that put different opinion for and against the time then and now.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do star players affect the odds of a match bet? on: September 03, 2023, 04:27:27 PM
I would say that a star players involvement might not greatly affect some games but others it would affect it wildly.  As an outlier look at MLS league Miami before Messi joined and after.  They were one of the worst teams and then a top team with Messi.  I would definitely think the odds would swing wildly different if he did or did not plan on playing in a game, at least if it was known.

This is a good example on how star players can affect the club and in the case of MLS, Messi's presense has become a fortune for them making them top the league and also it creates huge spectators and fans during their games which means financially, they generate more money from the sale of tickets unlike before.

Now the club reputation has increased after Messi help them lift the league which is the first trophy they have won. Do you know that the presence of messi.
1979  Economy / Economics / Re: The Devaluation of fiat money is powered by Inflation on: September 03, 2023, 03:03:00 PM
Your post looks uncoordinated but something can be made out of it anyway. Apart from fall in supply which could lead to scarcity and the rise of the price of goods or services which is what is called inflation, you also have to know that the government can deliberately cause a level of inflation maybe moderately to control the amount of money in circulation. To this effect if government want to have the policy to circulate money, they could reduce the rate of interest on loan and that can cause money to be in the reach of many and that means more money chasing fewer goods. That will lead to inflation but it is artificial and can be controlled.
1980  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another Coup on: September 03, 2023, 05:30:27 AM
Military regimes are not democrat nor are they sustainable. It's difficult to point to a current lasting military regime.

They turn authoritarian very quickly. The best case scenario is for a military regime to transition to a civilian regime, though people are reluctant to give up power once they achieve it, hence the perpetual state of violence in African countries.

You are not wrong in your assertion. However in Africa, it seems like both the civilian government and military government are the same and having the same characteristics only that the civilian still retain legislature who they gag to become the stooge or puppet to the president. The civilian also allow the judiciary as camouflage and never obey their judgement. So if the military after taking over would ensure that while returning the country back into a new democratically elected president would ensure he doesn't continue flagrant abuse of power, that would better. Africa needs working institutions and that is how military regime would stop .
