so i need at least 1000 to play?
If you are aiming to build a decent team intended for PVP and PVE, I think $1000 is just enough to buy you 1 team. However, there are also multitude of options to get your first team for a cheaper price but the downside is that there are compromises that needs to be address.

It could be something non-virgin, low axie purity or hybrid which is not recommended for breeding purposes unless you know what you are doing and you're just trying some new things out. I suggest that you need to find a friend where he/she can help you choose what's best for your buck.

hmm quite a lot too but is this promising? will i get my money back in 2 months?
SLP price fluctuates rapidly just like any other cryptocurrency; this is why the return of investment is quite arbitrary. Perhaps it could reach a certain price in which you can have your ROI within just a month or maybe it could reach an ATL in which you need few more months to have your investment return.

How do you guys secure your axie infinity account other than having bookmarking and using password manager? I think this is quite overlooked within the website and people are just focusing on the gamepley but not on the security of their assets.

I just hope that they consider adding 2FA immediately.

1982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Manipulation Logic? on: June 22, 2021, 06:55:23 AM
Huge volatility happens due to a multitude of reasons.

- At some point, bitcoin is still in its infancy stage where ountries finds it difficult to regulate due to its decentralized nature.
- It is being traded 24/7 at a global scale. This means that there are different factors such as big international exchange, big boys taking their advantage of the cycle, and trades based on market sentiment driven by FOMO and FUD.
- And any other reason that I have not included which could possibly affect the market be it political and technological aspects.

1984  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Beginners list for wallets and methods of earning free crypto on: June 22, 2021, 06:01:14 AM
Appreciated all the efforts and hard work for compiling the links of money-making opportunities in crypto. However, the links presented in excel are somehow obsolete for beginners to try out. The tendency is, they might become overwhelmed with all the links and information due to a lack of understanding of the nature of cryptocurrency in general.

I have seen that cloud mining and faucets are included in your list. Unfortunately, these methods to earn some bucks are quite outdated. Back in the days, faucets will give you a good amount of satoshi when bitcoin is still unknown for most people making faucets to be a good foundation as an introductory for crypto while making a decent amount of money. But now, I don't think that risking your time and effort in collecting bitcoin dust is worthy unless your reason for trying faucets are for educational purposes and not in money-making.

As for cloud mining, I don't think this is a good recommendation for a beginner. Nowadays, lots of cloud mining services turn out to be fraud and I don't think I have seen one type of such service that become successful in the long run. It can also damage your computer hardware parts which aren't worthy. Real mining activity is having the correct GPU/CPU setup and a lot of capital intended for maintenance and place.
1985  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: June 22, 2021, 05:24:22 AM
Their last update in telegram was March 23 where they have published their newest game called Candy Shop. But they are still active posting in twitter about their ongoing contests and bonuses, their last post was about 14 hours ago.

I just think that there are still lots of room for promotional/ advertising that needs to be filled. Though I am aware that it's easier said than done especially if it requires massive amount of funds.

Baka pwede din tayo gumawa ng thread for SLP, WETH, AXS exchange temporarily habang wala pang built-in exchange sa mga ganon?

P.S. Di ko ineexpect na maglalaro din kayo ng Axie Infinity @mk4  Cheesy

Hey guys!

Just wanted to ask how much is your initial capital in this venture? And can anyone share a detailed strategy of the process in order to make the breeding and multiplication of axie's faster? I know this can be subjective and there are lots of different ways to do that. However, I want to hear your thoughts.

Regards.
1988  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Wallet help on: June 21, 2021, 06:44:53 AM
1. Since I cannot send my AAVE, Band, Polygon, etc to Trezor what other hardware wallet should I look into? Should I go with the ledger wallet? I really don't want to, lol
I am not Trezor user but I think that Trezor fully  supports ERC-20 tokens like what you have mentioned. As far as I know, just like every other ERC-20 token wallet, you need to deposit your token to the Trezor's ETH Address as your recipient. Once the transaction has been settled, you need to manually add the contract address of the token that can be found using coingecko

As an example. BAND Protocol has a contract address of
Code:
0xba11d00c5f74255f56a5e366f4f77f5a186d7f55

3. ...but you can't see most of them on Trezor's actual site??
You can see the full list on their website.

Wait! I'm a bit confused. I still have my Ledger Live v2.26.1 and upon crossing this thread, I immediately check my ledger and saw the LL 2.29 new update for windows?  Have you guys downloaded it using the embedded link from their notification?

Surprisingly, though, I never knew that we can verify the LL update. Is the process similar when we verify the electrum using Kleopatra?
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Axie Infinity Thread [self moderated for spammers] on: June 21, 2021, 04:23:51 AM
@Maus, bro is that your Axies? D*mn they're all Virgins and cost more than $1,000. Someone told me Virgin Axies cost around close to $2,000.
I don't have the slightest idea for now, but I'll learn soon.  Grin
The price of axie fluctuates depending on the exchange price value of ETH. So expect that there are times where axie will cost you more than thousand bucks to purchase 3 virgin/90+% pure/ axies. Take note that the price value of 1 axie will continuously increase its price over time, axie that has been placed in the marketplace for a very long time has the tendency to become overprice.

That's why I highly suggest that you need to visit the marketplace more often, have some WETH ready in your wallet and then snipe that particular axie for a cheaper price. You can seek some help with other people to help you find a decent team that is bang for your buck.

I've been watching this guy https://youtu.be/2amrMto63Dg as a guide in choosing good Axies. What do you guys think?
He's one of the top player in axie community. What I like in his channel is that he creates a gameplay with commentary so you can learn the strategic gameplay of an axie top player. Watch more of his videos to learn some parts of the game mechanics that is often quite overlooked by many axie players.
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Axie Infinity Thread [self moderated for spammers] on: June 19, 2021, 04:13:30 AM
Can I ask what are the composition of your team? Is it fresh or virgin set?
They call this AAP Team composition and they are all virgin. Do you have the official link for axiefreaks firefox extension for me to be able to see the axie genes composition?

Maybe we could collab for breeding if its good skill set. We share the slp and axs for breeding and we equally get the eggs for both of us.
Maybe it would be better if I will put the link below to show you the complete stats and the cards.

1992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netflix's Money, Explained: E04 Gambling on: June 19, 2021, 03:54:31 AM
I almost googled all the stuff that you have just said.

There are urban legends of casinos pumping additional oxygen into the air to make gamblers feel more awake and gamble longer.
Also rumors they pump pheremones into the air to give people a positive feeling while gambling to make the experience more addictive.
This issue is something I did not expect. I wonder if there are still land-based casinos doing this? Isn't it that pheremones is usually being used in the dating world? It's a chemical substance that makes you more attractive in a way that you can attract the opposite sex. How does it relate to gambling?

If their series is truly about explaining money and finance, however. Wouldn't they cover so called sharps who rake in large profits through gambling. The market has to be exploding at the moment with all the attention and focus draftkings and fanduel is getting.
Thank you for this interesting insight. I have learned some of the terms/lingo that are being used in sports betting. Terms like sharps, draftsking, and fanduel are something I do not always encounter in this section, it's just interesting to see that sometimes what we're seeing on a documentary has some missing parts that need to be discussed in order to make a favorable conclusion

Do we have like a Axie Infinity thread intended to help out our fellow community members from purchasing a good Axie team to farming and breeding techniques.
This thread alone will suffice whenever we have a question in general. You can also take a look at their discord community to see various guides about the gameplay, strategies as well as the tips and tricks. There are also some youtube channel that you can watch to fasten your learning curve about the game.

I was doing my research lately and I guess a good team is priced starts at $1000 excluding the gas fees.
Yep! I bought my first team roughly at $1,000. I highly suggest that you should have a decent team first to in order to have a good foundation in the game.

Question. Is it okay to leave your axie infinity account open? The account what I am talking about is in the website wherein we use metamask to log in and not the game application itself.

1997  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin a business or an investment? on: June 16, 2021, 06:01:07 AM
This has given me lots of deep thoughts to which direction I should draw my conclusions on.
[..snip]
Treat bitcoin as a multifaceted tool where it has a different set of values depending on how other people see it. Maybe some libertarian would see bitcoin as a means to achieve financial sovereignty and a catalyst for taking power away from the banks and the government. Or maybe the people from the financial sector would see bitcoin as a means of accumulating riches through speculation. Or it could be something a revolutionary technology for a computer programmer/scientist/engineer.

It isn't enclosed only for business or investment type of things.

Read some of the Day Trader's story on Reddit. You can have a glimpse of what day trading looks like in real life and learn some of the past mistakes that they have done during their first year of this career. There are lots of golden advice that you can find learned only by experience and struggles.

This is something that I do every day, to re-read before the day starts as a reminder to not duplicate their bad experiences in day trading.

2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Netflix's Money, Explained: E04 Gambling on: June 16, 2021, 04:34:02 AM

I recently watched the first 4 episodes of Netflix's "Money, Explained" and one of its episodes discusses the mechanism of how our brains work when gambling. Personally, the "Gambling" episode was an eye-opener for me as I have gained a lot of interesting facts and different collective opinions which might give us a different point of view.

The Gist of the episode:

The fourth episode is all about gambling, its history, the psychology behind it, the process of getting hooked into gambling as well the most alarming issue that I have heard where it says that day trading is just pure gambling.

One thing that we are all familiar with is the psychology that the gambling industry has evaluated to keep their customer to gamble by using the so-called "hooks". These hooks are something that will make people sit for long hours while making their gambling experience more enjoyable and enticing to make a lot of money. In effect, if these people have been "hooked", they will now fall under a mental state[1] of total focus called the "The Zone". This means that the long hours of keeping people into gambling, the more money they can take out of other people's pockets.

These psychology tactics have also led other trading and investing company to use them to keep people unaware of the risk they are taking while being spammed with notifications of the current market sentiment, and an opportunity to get a free stock. Moreover, this episode also emphasizes that day trading is equivalent to gambling.

My take:

I am aware that the argument about day trading as gambling or not has been discussed often before and it could be tiring to prove a particular point due to its subjective nature. One could say that day trading is a combination of little to non T. A and pure luck, others would say that day trading could never equate to gambling since the ability to read charts and proper risk management would decrease the percentage of getting rekt.

It will just result in a never-ending comparison.
