Doesnt matter who you thought did it, 9/11 was a conspiracy by definition.

the building imploded without being hit by a plane. is that really suspicious in a 'terrorist' attack? no, they could plant bombs.

What is suspicious, is why the US officials are not open to discussion of this subject. why do they bash the engineers that disprove their theoroies. The US has thus been exposed.

Although the exact identities of the 'terrorists' will never be known for sure, so the US government may as well have nodded along to theories about planned demolition.
I didn't know terrorists nowadays are concerned of the safety of nearby buildings... They bombed that building like a demolition expert  Grin Grin

Demolition experts can be terrorists, American and white all at the same time. but we will never know for sure.

In two days there will be a bitcoin meetup in Auckland. You can go there and ask them. You can even buy the coins down there (would probably need a bitcoin app installed on your smartphone). Will save on currency exchange fees and bank reporting on you at IRD Smiley

really? where?

Hoping to see 400 now. Come on weekend dip.

No.

.....hoping is not good enough. why will it dip?

Because last weekend there was a dip due to a bogus story of a bitcoin ban in China. This week, there is another bogus story of a bitcoin ban in China. Some people are thinking the market is that stupid. They may be right, but although successful, this strategy may be starting to show diminishing returns.

but there has been a lot of panic selling already, if you are going to attribute this to malice, then why wouldn't the next bogus news cause a rally?
1984  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have access to 33,500NZD (what cryptocurrency should I buy) on: March 29, 2014, 12:47:30 AM
gday mate. Im in NZ too.

Bitcoin is the obvious choice, and it's a pretty good time to buy in right now, on a long term basis.

you know the network effect? well BTC will be the strongest crypto of all the selection we have with little doubt in a years time. most will have disppeared, perhaps 3-4 will survive and grow. there is no need or good having too many cryptos.

Litecoin is the next best for market cap, but Im not keen on it. one coin to rule them all.

There goes Huobi sporting a wave C or III for me.

.... better watch out, if this is a wave three, your shorts are gonna be left high and dry.
1987  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: what is the current actual fundamental value of bitcoin? on: March 29, 2014, 12:24:26 AM
Well we know the fair value for its potential, a LOT.

we know the underlying economy is very small. I dont think it could be easily measured, its a drop in the ocean.

we know what it's worth if not for speculators (zero - it wouldnt have gotten off the ground if not for specuators)

although the underlying economy right now could not be sustained without the support of speculators so I say thats a bad question. It's subjective, simple.

bitcoins are worth $507 at time of typing - thats how much.

"cheap coins" - another cultist term

Imagine you were selling bitcoin futures contracts. What would someone have to pay you now in return for your bitcoin a year from now?

These coins are going up and you know it. You just don't know how much they're going to go down first.

I think the term 'cheap coins' TERA is referring to is used by cult sellers anticipating much cheaper prices, rather than how I might use the use the phrase, these coins are cheap.

the sentiment is, sell now and buy back some 'cheap coins' when the apocalypse comes.

I believe the worst is over.

believe in EW patterns or no, this chart fits one perfectly.

not all movements can be described by EW, indeed not many accurately, but when shit hits the fan, natural forces play out very clearly, such as in this case.

Consider 465 a very significant bottom. I will not dare to say that it will not be broken, but weather the price passes that point is critical in knowing what the state of sentiment is.

yesterday, bearish panic sellers were exhausted at 465, after already huge volume was traded down to 3000 Yuan. Unless the chart is rudely interrupted by news again, this consolidation we should expect to last for another day, reaching mid 500s, if consolidation it indeed be.

- nicely said, just like 'to da moon' at 1200, 800, 680 etc...

@chessnut

Thanks, i agree with all your points. The only thing that worries me is the fact of the small bid depth.
But the charts indeed look like we should see a nice upward correction at least.

yeah it is nervous times to buy, but already a large buyer has exposed him/herself on stamp this morning.
1992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 28, 2014, 11:13:57 PM

I cant do the chart much justice with my software.

note that the fourth wave was a contracting wedge, a big final stand off betwen bulls and bears. liquidity dried up before panic set in and the crowd went into panic.

Like MAbc says, this may just be an ABC correction, but strategically speaking it is a solid buy opportunity because it suggests days of consolidation, while it is possible that a primary wave has unfolded on Bitstamp off the lows.

I maintain that sentiment is very dark at the moment and I suspect too many people have sold looking for 'cheeep' coins.

the fractals are very clear on a smaller scale, wave three is three clear waves within its self, validating that 465 is a significant point.

If however 465 is broken violently with momentum, this might suggest that we are undergoing a third wave down of one higher order (or a C wave down). This would be big, but I do not expect that because we are already bearish, and the time scale that this news could effect would not be so big.

I maintain that I am holding from 475.

Hmm. China actually kind of IS sparking right now. Up to 3013y on Huobi.

more significant by a mile is Bitstamp. Thats what I call a spark.
1995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 28, 2014, 10:36:26 PM
^^ true that, but short term analysis says that the short term fiat was spent. huge volume came on that third wave. we were even treated to a fifth wave of panic. the bears are exhausted. The nubs have sold.

Would you mind posting a chart of your EW analysis?

I wonder if you could help me, I have no clue how to post images on this site.

Ill click but what do I put in between the brackets? when I copy an image all I manage to paste is the file name.

Goddammit I'm bitcoin's worst trader, today's masterpiece: I shorted at 487.

Simply doing the opposite of my decisions is one of the best indicators available

Close your shorts immediately and go long to recover losses (or lose double if it goes down to 440$ afterwards)

 Wink Cheesy Cheesy

.... go long now to cover losses, and perhaps double capital. here comes mr. string beans.

..... but if you did the opposite of one of your decisions, then that would still require decision right?
