Did you check your wallet to make sure your coin is enabled? In my erc20 wallet I don’t see a new coin automatically if it’s not a popular one. I have to add it to my wallet manually. What wallet do you use?

Like it or not it has become the reserve currency for icos and is slowly displacing btc on exchanges as a trading pair. Moreover, it has the history and brand recognition, a star developer and its platform is used for lts of apps. It’s not perfect, it has bugs. I am actually not a big fan and think there are many up and coming alternatives but we’re obviously not there yet.
So, basically, she's the most popular girl in school ... got it ... Pretty much. But looks don’t last forever. Crypto evolves so fast, so there is much better tech out there and competition and trying to dethrone ethereum is a great incentive to innovate. Unfortunately the newcomer has to make itself known and prove itself so it can displace queen bee. It will happen but probably not in short term.

Hello everyone, I was just introduced to cryptocurrency by some friends so I'm looking for opinions on my portofolio after a lot of time spent infront of my laptop researching. There it is: WAVES 20% IOTA 10% Elixir 20% Electroneum 20% PRL 20% SONM 10% I'm also looking at Spectrecoin , Verge, Stellar and REQ. Any opinions on the matter if it's a good investment would be very helpful. Thanks. Why did you pick these coins? Which criteria did you use? What’s your goal? If you’ve done your research on these coins then great! You picked the right portfolio for you. Personally, it’s a bit too high risk for me and I’m really not a fan of xvg (lots of fud), elixir (so many problems) and xspec (gets shilled way too much around here).

Personally i think ardr, bts, ven and zrx are awesome. I also like xlm but not sure how much it can still grow. Lots of fud re: iota, xvg and trx. I’m not a fan of steem business model. Ada and powr remain to be determined. Don’t know much about the others.

Definitely hodling. Even though I bought most of my btc at less than $3k. I fully believe btc will go up a lot more. This is a temporary setback. I’m buying eth and ven atm.

|
My thoughts? It’s awesome and badly needed. It’s not normal for btc and some alts to have risen that way that fast. I’m buying my favorite coins. I think 2018 will be just as good as 2017 to get that lambo.

Definitely do due diligence on the team behind the coin. Read white paper. Does it make sense? If not then I’ll ask questions to see if team answers satisfactorily. I’ll look at reddit and bitcointalk, look on youtube. Then I’ll look at price action, recent pumps, total coin supply.

Wabi. Already has big partnerships and the use case is solid (china counterfeit goods which is a massive problem). Bonus: they recently announced partnerships with infant formula manufacturer. Safeguarding innocent fragile little babies against dodgy foods has lots of sympathy and marketing potential.

For now there is still room for exchanges for a few reasons I think. First, people want decentralized exchanges, and there aren’t any good ones yet. Second some exchanges stopped accepting new members because their systems can’t cope. There is so much demand for new accounts that new exchanges have a good chance of survivng. Third, people want to buy all sorts of crypto with fiat and cheaply. Current options are limitd and very expensive. First dex to do that will go to the moon

Don’t most icos require kyc? Your list might get really long! I’m actually all for kyc. I don’t want crypto reputation tarnished because of some criminals or because terrorists get funding because of anonymous wallets (and coincidentally I’m tired of terrorists killing people so the flow of funds to them must stop). If you want a simple solution: do your proper research on the ico you will invest in or bounty or airdrop and only send your information to those that are reputable.

I don’t know what effect this bill will have. It is just saying that the US should develop a national policy and support innovation in the area. There is no concrete action to be taken. Maybe a us lawyer can chime in. Also the link you provided is from pbc, and it’s a big sales pitch and you have to pay to read the actual analysis. 👎

I invest primarily in financial services related coins. Financial services is a multi trillion dollar global industry that does things inefficiently and at great expense. Also I know the industry well so I can judge the coins.

For me priority is projects that help control government agencies, prevent corruption. The idea of issuing state funds through a blockchain technology sounds awesome!
That sounds really interesting. I don’t know any coins or upcoming icos with that goal. Do you?

I think it has the potential to be a top 20 coin, which would at least be 3x current price. Personally, I think it will go higher because of the hype around it but the only thing is that thee are so many dex that have launched recently and not all will survive.
|

I’m waiting for it. Usually they specify a block at which the fork will happen along with a date on which that block will be generated and time. There should be a countdown clock on their website when they announce it. But you’re right to be on your toes. Everyone will dump zcl after the fork happens.
|
|
|
Anyone want to speculate about how high zcl will go before the fork? And what btcp will trade at? I’ve seen on Twitter guesses around $1000 for zcl pre-fork and up to $5k eventually for btcp. Thoughts?
|
|
|
I think some of the hype will end when icos start getting regulated and people start getting fined or jailed for market manipulation or pump and dump schemes (like what happens in the real securities markets). But I think that will make crypto more predictable, stable and will atract new money, leading to growth

I like knc as well but there are so many competitors in that space, some of which have already launched. Someone should do a comparison of all the dex projects. I also like zrx and bts. Which one to choose?

It’s got a nice little run up these last few days. Lots of flo promotion on Twitter. Are people finally starting to take notice?
