I disagree. I think the legal risk and uncertainty about future regulation is a major stumbling block to achieve this. Crypto does not yet have a good reputation on wall street. I think overall the integration of crypto and wall street will happen and has to happen but i think it’s still too soon. Maybe 2-3 years.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How difficult in 2018 will it be to sell a huge variety of ALT on Exchanges??

I've been thinking with the huge amount of new ALTS coming into the market and quite a few making it onto exchanges will it bow become harder for us in the crypto community to sell our coins when the public will be so distracted with so many other ICO's in the domain?
I don’t think it will be any different. Some exchanges have stopped acceepting new coins or are very selective (bittrex). There is more new money coming into crypto, there will likely be fewer icos in the future because of regulation and most of the attention on twitter and bitcoin talk is really just focused on a few coins.

Qtum is a chinese coin, which of course has great promise if China decides to open up crypto a little bit. But it still does not have a product. I have some and wouldn’t buy more now. Price has been stagnant for a little while.
Personally, I love eng and icx.
I don’t know much about the other coins you posted but i wouldn’t buy cvc on the sole basis of the guy who runs it. Read his twitter feed and make up your own mind.
I feel I may have missed the boat on ICX? I think it has room to grow. Read about the project. I think it has huge potential. Ico sold out very quickly (i didn’t get in). I think $20-25 is not unreasonable. Wait for the dip. There will be one eventually!

Hi Guys,
Currently invested in OST, VEN and LEND, everything is doing very well.
Looking for 1 more alt coin to add.
Thinking either RPX, REQ, CVC or QTUM?
Looking for short to mid term.
Thanks.
Since you have those coins in your portfolio (kinda bunk coins), you'd want to invest in something that has a bigger reward rate...get Litecoin. Not interested in Litecoin. VEN is also not bunk, huge potential, already up 100% in less than 2 weeks, with much more to come. LEND I'm not so sure on, and OST is a short term coin, which is making me some great gains. Ven is so awesome. I have a lot of ven and will keep investing in it. We’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg. This coin will easily go 20x. Super sophisticated team, great ideas and already has partnerships.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 governaments will regulate cripto?
|
on: January 06, 2018, 03:21:19 PM

I am sure more governments will regulate trading in crypto and icos in the coming year. The USA already is prohibiting some companies from doing icos, Canada is looking at ICO regulation (kin coin is actually testing the new regulationsj. Exchanges will also be more regulated (south korea recently passed a law requiring exchanges to get more information from users and to prohibit anonymous accounts). I am also sure some totalitarian governments will try to prohibit people from owning crypto, but that would be difficult to enforce.

As I observe alt coins today, Ripple really gets my attention. Compared to other alt coins, Ripple has the best progress. And I think it will continue to improve in the coming months.
I don’t think ripple qualifies as an early stage coin. Have you read op’s question?? Op check out storm. Recently cracked top 100 in cmc. I also love enigma, had its ico in the fall, and datum.
