41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Coin Will you have your eyes on 2018? on: January 08, 2018, 08:16:34 PM
My big bets for this year are xlm, eng, icx and ven. i think strat will also do well and I still have some lisk, waiting for the rebrand might do well. A not here coin yet that I’m betting on is the btcp fork from zclassic.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ENG vs ICX vs VEN on: January 08, 2018, 12:13:15 AM
I hold each and each of them for me are prized long term hodls. I think ven will likely increase more this year but really all 3 are fantastic projects imo.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Next Mega-Trend in Crypto on: January 07, 2018, 12:24:29 AM
Who here thinks securities will be the next mega trend in crypto? Anyone that can bridge wall street to the blockchain will win big. The only project I see doing this is Polymath.

Read: https://blog.polymath.network/as-the-polymath-community-already-knows-we-see-the-next-mega-trend-in-crypto-as-the-emergence-of-48fec4ccc65a

Thoughts? Agree or disagree?

I disagree. I think the legal risk and uncertainty about future regulation is a major stumbling block to achieve this. Crypto does not yet have a good reputation on wall street. I think overall the integration of crypto and wall street will happen and has to happen but i think it’s still too soon. Maybe 2-3 years.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need another coin to add to my portfolio! on: January 06, 2018, 07:26:50 PM
I will buy again when it gets down to mid-low $6. There seems to be support around 3800sats but the overall trend is looking very positive so I’m not sure when it will get there. But i think it will, particularly as btc starts to go up again
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How difficult in 2018 will it be to sell a huge variety of ALT on Exchanges?? on: January 06, 2018, 07:20:58 PM
I've been thinking with the huge amount of new ALTS coming into the market and quite a few making it onto exchanges will it bow become harder for us in the crypto community to sell our coins when the public will be so distracted with so many other ICO's in the domain?

I don’t think it will be any different. Some exchanges have stopped acceepting new coins or are very selective  (bittrex). There is more new money coming into crypto, there will likely be fewer icos in the future because of regulation and most of the attention on twitter and bitcoin talk is really just focused on a few coins.

Qtum is a chinese coin, which of course has great promise if China decides to open up crypto a little bit. But it still does not have a product. I have some and wouldn’t buy more now. Price has been stagnant for a little while.

Personally, I love eng and icx.

I don’t know much about the other coins you posted but i wouldn’t buy cvc on the sole basis of the guy who runs it. Read his twitter feed and make up your own mind.

I feel I may have missed the boat on ICX?

I think it has room to grow. Read about the project. I think it has huge potential. Ico sold out very quickly (i didn’t get in). I think $20-25 is not unreasonable. Wait for the dip. There will be one eventually!
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need another coin to add to my portfolio on: January 06, 2018, 07:16:43 PM
Hi Guys,

Currently invested in OST, VEN and LEND, everything is doing very well.

Looking for 1 more alt coin to add.

Thinking either RPX, REQ, CVC or QTUM?

Looking for short to mid term.

Thanks.
Since you have those coins in your portfolio (kinda bunk coins), you'd want to invest in something that has a bigger reward rate...get Litecoin.

Not interested in Litecoin. VEN is also not bunk, huge potential, already up 100% in less than 2 weeks, with much more to come.

LEND I'm not so sure on, and OST is a short term coin, which is making me some great gains.

Ven is so awesome. I have a lot of ven and will keep investing in it. We’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg. This coin will easily go 20x. Super sophisticated team, great ideas and already has partnerships.

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NXT and IGNIS Future ? on: January 06, 2018, 03:22:51 PM
A lot of people haven’t gotten ignis yet, like the people who hold it on bittrex. Once bittex allows trading in ignis, the price will go up for sure. I think nxt is a dying coin. The developers will probably focus more time and money on ardor/ignis.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 governaments will regulate cripto? on: January 06, 2018, 03:21:19 PM
I am sure more governments will regulate trading in crypto and icos in the coming year. The USA already is prohibiting some companies from doing icos, Canada is looking at ICO regulation (kin coin is actually testing the new regulationsj. Exchanges will also be more regulated (south korea recently passed a law requiring exchanges to get more information from users and to prohibit anonymous accounts). I am also sure some totalitarian governments will try to prohibit people from owning crypto, but that would be difficult to enforce.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Palm Beach Confidential - January 2018 on: January 06, 2018, 12:22:05 AM
He’s been really big on marijuana markets recently so maybe a coin tied to that? Or else he will announce the alternative energy coin that he wanted to announce in the fall but there was too much speculation.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Panic sell on: January 05, 2018, 11:49:36 PM
Why would there be panic? Generally, it is wise to buy more. Steady hands win more in crypto than weak hands. Bitcoin is no where near its potential top.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to Bitcoin and others crypto during war on: January 05, 2018, 03:17:48 PM
While of course no one wants a war to happen, if a war does happen it would be interesting to see if people flock to btc. Btc is called virtual gold sometimes and it’s supposed to be a store of value. If that is true, it would increase a lot.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Coins on: January 04, 2018, 02:32:33 AM
There is also zclassic which is forking soon into bitcoin private. It will apparently be bitcoin but with the anonymity features of zcash.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most promising early stage altcoins? on: January 02, 2018, 11:35:18 PM
As I observe alt coins today, Ripple really gets my attention. Compared to other alt coins, Ripple has the best progress. And I think it will continue to improve in the coming months.

I don’t think ripple qualifies as an early stage coin. Have you read op’s question??

Op check out storm. Recently cracked top 100 in cmc. I also love enigma, had its ico in the fall, and datum.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STORM - Anyone invested? on: January 02, 2018, 02:49:40 AM
It’s got a killer team and a good idea. I believe in it and I will buy some more. It would be great if it hit trex or binance soon.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a good portfolio? on: January 02, 2018, 02:36:49 AM
Not sure if you’re serious or not but in case you are, that’s a pretty risky portfolio, even as far as crypto is concerned. No big solid names in there at all? How/why did you pick these coins?
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Money for short term investment. Which one of these coins would you recommend? on: January 02, 2018, 02:30:50 AM
I think strat and stellar will do great but not in the short term. So if you’re looking for a quick turnaround, these are not your coins probably. I don’t know anything about the other coins.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Portfolio Analysis Request - All coins with % listed on: January 01, 2018, 06:17:04 PM
Personally, I think you have too many coins and spread yourself too thin. The coins in your last bucket are just diluting your investment. Think carefully which ones you want to keep.

Personally, I would up eng, ark, omg, neo, bat xlm. Maybe kmd but don’t know about that project. Dump the rst.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many are watching the Verge saga unfold? on: January 01, 2018, 06:00:12 AM
Watching. It’s the best drama. Wraith is now released. The developers seem to have worked frantically to release before midnight, and they just missed the deadline. But also ppl in new years eve parties don’t care and won’t see this great news until tomorrow sometime.
