21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POA] ENCRYPT NETWORK $XCX - Annoymous, Untraceable, Secure Cryptocurrency on: September 08, 2020, 12:50:14 PM

It says we couldn't find your page. Seems that it is not yet listed in CMC. Also, there's no buy order at txbit. Are you sure you want this coin to stay at that exchange? The truth is, this is my first time to hear that exchange. And since I saw that you have a comparative table among ZEC, XMR and yours, I don't think you even came close to their market price. It is good to see that you have several advantages over them, but how about the popularity of usage? And since you are not doing good at your first exchange, do you think your trading journey will change anytime soon?

There are no buy orders because TXBIT has a 1 SAT minimum.  In about 60 days I staked 6000 XCX into enough for a Masternode, then turned the Masternode rewards into more Masternodes.

From launch until today, that 6000 XCX block that I mined to start with was turned into close to 10 million XCX.

This is just way way way too easy to make.  No need to buy it when you can mine ONE block and 60 days later have 1500 times what you started with.

What a thin-skinned bunch of guys.

Got banned for legitimate criticism of a foundering project, buggy wallet, and blockchain that has to be treated with kid gloves or it falls into disrepair.

They just banned me from their Discord because I offered legitimate criticisms that, if they would just LISTEN, would have improved their chances of success.

The Discord sees MAYBE 2-3 posts every 24 hours and devs go missing for days while others have questions/concerns.

The list of issues with the project are too many to mention here, but the main concern is the fact that the chain can come to a HALT if certain conditions present themselves and with a 1 minute block time, there have been at least a half dozen times when the chain has frozen for at least 6 hours while someone has to get a staking wallet up and running to move it along.  It's a mess.

I'm done with it.  I probably have more coins than anyone other than the devs who premined a HUGE stack.   And, I got it all through staking and running masternodes.  So at least I spent no electricity to speak of.

I guess the Bidencoin block chain retains the last 3-5 transactions and the rest just fades from memory...

Don't cheat people
 This is not CPU mining

Network (GH/s)
142.986

Difficulty
2498.54

Ryzen 7 = 120kh

Since the POA block is the only one mineable... the true hashrate is hard to calculate.  It is 59 blocks of POS, then 1 block of POA to audit it.  I don't think the reported numbers are accurate.

CPU miners won't get a thing if they have that high difficulty already.
You will just be wasting your energy if you will participate on mining this coin.
I've seen that a lot in several CPU-mined coins. Once the hashrate/difficulty is high, you can't get anything if you are one of those CPU miners.

Read my post just above yours.

The POA block that can be mined comes up every 60th block.  Calculating hash rate is not easy when a multi-algo or non-standard mining protocol is used.  The difficulty is almost certainly being overstated.

But... another question.  How are the devs cheating anyone if the DIFF WAS that high?

Proof of Stake and masternodes are paying well at the moment.

Show me a version of minerd that does NOT create similar results...  it's horrible in that regard.

If this is a scam, the people who head the project are putting in a lot of time trying to fix the wallet.  It would be about 1000 times easier to create a fake wallet and then just forget about it.

Just my opinion.

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POW] EPIC - Epic Private Internet Cash | MimbleWimble | Dandelion++ on: September 29, 2019, 08:47:39 PM
It’s saddened me to see that no credit is given to Grin, from which you forked.

Credit is given to Grin in our white paper and when GitHub is public. We will give credit where it is due.

Indeed; this is essentially BitGrin (Grin + Bitcoin emission + mining tax) minus the Grin acknowledgement.

When asked earlier what distinguishes this project from BitGrin, they claimed it has no mining tax, which it now does.

There are key differences between Epic and Grin/Bitgrin, and this difference will increase as we progress on development. And again, we do acknowledge Grin in our white paper and soon to go public GitHub.

The budget emission is 8.8% first year and reduces 1.1% every year until zero. This is relatively much more modest than some coins and will help ensure we can continue developing and promoting. The ultimate goal is to transition from using a foundation to a decentralized autonomous organization.

How much does the board receive from this?  And why is it that there exist only 2 people on said board?  Why hasn't any of that Epic yet been distributed to those responsible for developing the platform to this point?  Why is this "community project" being governed by one person who is now on medical leave?

And, why does someone need to start a new BCT account to ask these questions?

OK - killed the daemon and ran the GUI wallet.  Got a couple of errors pop up but it seems to have gotten over those issues.  Will know in a bit if mining is working.

how to start mining through litenote-cli.exe in windows?
litenote-gui.exe - does not work. Error Windows cannot find '--rpcpassword=null'

Mining should work in Litenote GUI.

For the CLI, create a .bat file: mining.bat

put inside:
Code:
:loop
litenote-cli --rpcuser=null --rpcpassword=null generate 1
goto :loop

run it

The daemon is still just flooding with this...

If litenoted isn't running with rpcuser/rpcpassword set to null/null, then remove `--rpcuser=null --rpcpassword=null` from the generate command.

Sorry - got caught in the wrong part of the thread.

The dameon is constantly spamming that there is an incorrect password attempt as seen above.

Also, the GUI wallet is nothing but a blank window on my machine.

i like cpu algo.. really fair

what makes it more fair than ASIC or GPU mining? In all 3 cases it depends on the money you have invested, and power consumption. So basically no difference, just gives a chance for people with office computers )

As you stated, this will allow someone with an office computer to mine.

It also creates a more widely distributed network, a very good thing.

We need at least one exchange with real trading, and then the community will grow. A year later, you can go to a good exchange

You can always go to the Discord channel and try to arrange a private sale.  I am an escrow there and have a good history with RVN escrow before it was on an exchange.

Speaking of forks...

Do you ever EAT with a fork? If the answer is YES...

Is the fork that you eat with made by the original inventors of the fork?

When it comes to eating, has the brand of fork you eat with ever been an issue?

Have you ever been at a restaurant, taken a look at your fork and muttered to yourself 'this is a scam fork'?

Taonacoin is a fork.  I see no effort to present it as anything other than a fork.  One area that it is different is the way it launched (slow launch for first 4999 blocks) and the way the mining rewards decrease slowly over time as opposed to the disruptive sudden halving events.

Take it or leave it.

Max supply is 1 Billion.  I just asked one of the devs in Discord.

It would take over 1.5 MILLION years to produce 100 trillion coins at the rate of 60 every 30 seconds.

Hmmm... the official pool pays out every 30 minutes.  How could anyone paying attention think it is every 45 minutes?

That aside, nothing appears to be broken from my location...

Crap... now I have to get dressed, go outside and get my cash out of my fire pit.

Why are you praising your own thread? Or are you showing the scenario of a scam coin?
Praising and hyping up their own very thread.

Also, are we gonna treat this as a joke or what?
Are you being satirical with this thread?
You know, just for fun after all the stress that scam coins brought to the community.

This is just my way of making people a little more aware...
