21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are joking about Bitcoin on: May 27, 2018, 10:49:26 PM
In recent times, some new ICO companies have been kidding about Bitcoin on Twitter, Facebook for their ICO promotion. I think this promotion way is very negative for Bitcoin. They showed that Bitcoin will be destroyed and their token will become number one. They have presented it in such a way that the price of Bitcoin will not rise anymore. I think this type of promotion is  very negative in the market.
These things aren't new. It has been said a hundredths time but never been done. They're just makung a fool out of themselves.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can somebody steal your btc? on: May 27, 2018, 10:45:21 PM
Everything is possible. That is why never put all your bitcoin in one wallet. Especially if it is an online wallet. Only store an amount which you will need for a certain period of time.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I invest as a newbee on: May 27, 2018, 10:42:20 PM
It's a good time to invest in bitcoin. BUT never go all in. You should part your money. You can divide it into 7 or 14. Set the prices when you will buy bitcoin. For example you will buy 100 USD now at its current value, then when the price dropped for about 500 USD buy another 100 USD worth of bitcoin. It depends on you, you are the one who will set your target value for buying bitcoin (or other crypto).
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can FUD destroy bitcoin? on: May 27, 2018, 10:37:46 PM
It cannot destroy bitcoin. It might affect its price depending on how people would react to this issue, but this will be temporary. The only thing that could put an end to bitcoin is when ALL of the people would turn their backs on it. Which is close to impossible, seeing how we support bitcoin and altcoins.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Fiat Currency completely irrelevant to cryptocurrency on: May 27, 2018, 10:33:56 PM
Fiat is very relevant to cryptocurrency. Coz first of all, it is the measurement of the value of each coin.
I think nobody here invested in cryptocurrecny to increase their coin but to grow their money (fiat). All of the coin you possess were useless if you couldn't use it.
You can pay online using BTC directly but it is still depends on its equivalent value in your local currency or in US dollars.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunting - work or a hobby? on: May 27, 2018, 05:58:54 PM
It is really hard to find a good bounty nowadays. I think my partner and I need a break from those after receiving 3 consecutive shitcoins. I just do one signature campaign for now. And maybe will be hunting a good bounty next month.
Posting in this forum can be considered a hobby and joining bounty campaigns is a work coz you have a job to be done.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price < $3000 soon on: May 27, 2018, 05:49:52 PM
I really hope so. So I can buy more bitcoin, haha.
Topics like this were so funny. Do you really think people here will believe you? No one can ever know, and ever that will happen. It is a good thing for me, but might be a nightmare for others.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it enough? on: May 27, 2018, 05:46:33 PM
Having a limited supply is very important to have a good value. It's all about the law of supply and demand. I think there is no need for further explanation.
And to the question "Is bitcoin enough?" Yes it is, it could also be broken down to satoshis, each and everyone of us doesnt have to have a whole bitcoin each. And others also have more. We can't question that coz it is not about equal distribution of bitcoin. There will be no standard measurement to say that it wasn't enough. It is up to us how much bitcoin we will buy or gain.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET on: May 27, 2018, 05:30:16 PM
HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET
Protect yourself from cyber criminals

Good day to all of you guys I am EdsnowAngel a programmer and a bit security tester in different platforms. Now I heard to my friends a lot of concerns saying "please help me my bitcoin wallet was hacked!!"
Ok ok first thing first when your bitcoin wallet gets compromised then your funds was send in different wallet then it is irreversible meaning no return of funds!! so I wanna tell everyone how to protect your bitcoin wallet from such kind of situation.

1st: Protect your GMAIL or EMAIL ACCOUNT

We all know we use GMAIL as our email provider for such accounts like blockchain then we can recover and approve login with email in some wallets, now when your email account was targeted and get compromised then say goodbye to your bitcoin. To secure your bitcoin wallet(ex: blockchain or other) go to your google account settings. and then turn on the 2FA(2nd factor authentication) here is the guide on how to do it: STEP BY STEP GUIDE

2nd: Use your own DEVICE or COMPUTER/PHONE

It's a very bad idea to use someones device(ex:from friend) to make a transaction in your bitcoin wallet why? because first you don't know what is the capability of that person regarding that matters and you don't know if that phone has a lot of malwares and spywares. So we cannot say that you are safe using someones device to make transactions.

3rd: Always backup you PK's or PRIVATE KEYS

This is the most important thing to remember for everyone using your ETH or BTC wallet without backing up your Private keys then you can't recover you wallet in case you forgot your wallet.PK's are very important but there are thing you should do first. Make sure you store your PK backup somewhere that you only know and not from your computer because there are some spyware that might inside of your computer that can steal that file so make sure you back it up print in a paper and hide it to the place where you only know.

4th: Don't open links from malicious emails

This method was called email phishing where an attacker will send the same email in thousands of random users once the victim will click the link in that email then his or her device was compromised to avoid this please do not click the links included in the email immediately please always have time to check who is the sender of that email and if that email is came from the site where it supposed to came from.

5th: Do not trust PUBLIC WIFI

It's quite good to have access with free wifi's but have you think this: IS THIS A SAFE NETWORK? without you knowing maybe some of the people connected to that same network may have idea and skill on how to sniff passwords and credentials this method was so called DNS SPOOFING or SNIFFING if you want to use public wifi then use it not just with your bitcoin transactions.

6th: Do not login on Suspicious links

This method is called PHISHING where an attacker  will send you a link to login with your bitcoin wallet luring you with the legitimate site example is:
the real site is: https://www.blockchain.info/
the fake site is: http://www.blockchain.ga/

then once you login to the fake site then the hacker or attacker will have now your credentials. Please always check for the green lock on the url bar and the word HTTPS in the link.

so this are some of the way to stop hackers to hack your bitcoin or crypto wallet. If you have other information then you can comment it down and lets help others.
It is also important not to upload the back ups of your private keys or mnemonic (like some screenshots) on your social media accounts even if it's protected or visually hidden to others. Coz social media accounts were easier to hack.

And regarding to your 2nd tip, it is a good point. Because even if they deleted the history on that computer it wasn't really deleted. IT knows it very well.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason why we really need Bitcoin? on: May 27, 2018, 05:24:54 PM
I can't say that I really need bitcoin, but I must say I really like bitcoin. Being able to have a full control over your investment is a good thing. You can work within the comfort of your home and your most convinient time.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the mnemonics works on: May 27, 2018, 01:12:25 AM
Mnemonic is easier to memorize. But it's easier to copy and paste private keys though.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: May 27, 2018, 01:09:11 AM
Bitcoin is number 1 simply because it is the first cryptocurrency ever. There will be no number 2, 3, 4, and so on and so forth if not for bitcoin.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: May 27, 2018, 12:59:57 AM
Bitcoin is indeed risky. But bank investments are risky too. In our country (coz I'm not sure if this exist in other countries). When you have a large amount on your account they will call you and ask you if you want to invest, minimum of 20,000 Php (or 400 USD). They will propose some investment plans where there is a choice of low, medium, or high risk investment. When you choose the high risk there is a chance to lose or gain 100% of your investment (Medium is 75% and low is 50% if I remember it right). It doesn't make sense to me, it sounds like a scam, they will invest using your money and you don't have any control to it. That is why I like bitcoin more, coz Though it is risky and it's very volatile, you have full control on your investment.

What do you guys think?
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation on: May 26, 2018, 07:28:08 PM
I think there is. They may not manipulate it directly but whales have their own way on how to dump and pump BTC's price. Poeple like them realy wants to take advantage just because they are the big players in crypto.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will Alt Season end? on: May 26, 2018, 01:21:07 AM
The graphs showing the "alt season" isn't convincing at all. It's like they just made a BTC cap chart then started to point to the highest and lowest value it had become and declaring that it's the alt season. The chart itself is also misleading.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Need To BAN Futures Trading In Bitcoin on: May 25, 2018, 11:13:10 PM
There are things that's beyond our control. All we can do is to think of the best ways so we will not have any losses (or at least minimal loss). Bitcoin will recover from this for sure, it doesn't even hit rock bottom. Wink
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many Bitcoin users have fear of governments? on: May 25, 2018, 02:08:00 PM
I am not one of them. I do not fear government, I respect our president and some of the trustworthy government officials. They may ban or legalize bitcoin but it is up to them. And I always expect the worst but am still hoping for the best. If time will come that they will ban bitcoin, I have no choice but to follow. There are other things that could be a source of additional income anyway.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not Money, is Faith on: May 25, 2018, 01:23:13 AM
You can not dictate everyone what do they have to do with their bitcoins. It depends on them and not on you. If you want to just hold, you can hold my friend. But if they wanted to trade or convert it into fiat, then let it be.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why shouldn’t we be concerned? on: May 22, 2018, 09:11:29 PM
Bitcoin's price always fluctuates since forever. So it became normal for the most of us. But to be honest, it's price since January has been difficult for traders. That's why I decided to hold for the mean time.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin: is it the coin of the future ? on: May 20, 2018, 06:59:30 PM
Yup. I do beleive that bitcoin is, and will always be, the leading cryptocurrency of the future. There's no doubt on that.
