21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 17, 2022, 03:51:36 PM
I don't know why of the many players who are there, he is still being kept, even though if you look at his performance clearly he is one of the worst in my opinion of the many Manchester United players at this time.
He not only made one mistake but almost every time he played he always made a mistake.
Maybe the higher ups at United are still happy with the price he has lol.
Quite rightly Maguire is a terrible terrible footballer, but i feel sorry for him that he takes too much of the stick for Manchester United's incessant disastrous performances, imo, it should be shared between all of the players, the manager and the Manchester United board, all of them have failed their fans, but many times the attention rests with Harry Maguire, this has even culminated in death threats sent to him at one time last season.

Having said that, if we are to question Erik ten hag for keeping Maguire, then there are other players he has kept that he should have done away with too, questions should also be directed to him about them, Rashford, Martial, McTominay, to mention a few.
Football is a team game. Even though Maguire shouldn't take all the blames for the bad performance of Manchester United, he should take the lion's share of it since he's the worst player on the team as well as the team captain.
Of course, if anyone should have been kicked out then it was Maguire first and foremost, no one else. Most of Manchester United's fans believe and wanted this done before kicking any other players.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Coin | A decentralized economy or another form of MLM scheme? on: August 16, 2022, 06:33:21 PM
Another form of MLM scheme for sure. Pi coin holder seems like a cultist to me rather than an investor or a crypto adopter. You know, they even demand Pi Coin have to be traded at a fixed price instead of based on the market buying/selling order, trade volumes, and such.

Many of them don't know the core feature, the selling point of Pi Coin. They want to sell it at a high price, peg it to barter trade like 1 smartphone = 1 Pi coin to increase the price. Just a lot of stupidity among Pi coin holders that I'm sure only through MLM scheme can get people or prey on their greed to sell.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or Gold Investment? on: August 12, 2022, 06:43:18 PM
I prefer Gold. Coins are much more risky. In my country, they buy Gold alot and it always be good investment.
Gold is definitely less volatile than coins in general but also gives significantly lower return in the long run, I think gold is best at crisis because around crisis most of the investments having value correction. Gold in the other hand usually increases its value because many have deemed that gold is the right way in overcoming the crisis and the fluctuation. the best strategy is invest in gold at crisis and then make entry in cryptocurrencies once the crisis subsides.
Gold is not for the best in a crisis as you think. Mainly because it has too much weight for its worth. This makes any kind of 'hot transfer' of gold in crisis time become a hassle and the risk of robbery around it. Though, Gold is fine for maintaining your asset worth when the market becomes fluctuating as you said. Not at the crisis level yet and more for the economic recession that happened right now. I think this might explains why BTC has had a strong rebound recently because both Gold and BTC are good for this time.
24  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 12, 2022, 06:08:01 PM
All right!  It is impossible to ban gambling for two reasons.  Firstly, the very nature of people inclines them to the curiosity and excitement of the pioneers and, of course, the desire of everyone to win.  Secondly, those people or organizations that arrange gambling, of course, make money on it.
The result is the interaction of these parties, which is not able to overcome the prohibitions of different religions, much less the prohibitions of legislators and governments.
Therefore, the history of gambling is inextricably linked with the history of the development of the entire civilization.

It is not impossible to ban gambling.  If the government wanted to ban gambling, they can ban it promptly.  Even history can show you that gambling can be ban.  Ancient Rome ban gambling, China ban gambling, and many other government especially those with Muslim religions ban gambling.  Gambling  can easily be ban but it cannot be stopped.  People will find way to engage in gambling activity eve if it is illegal.
Not impossible, yes but how effective the banning was is another matter. As you said, the government has tried to ban any form of gambling many times but people are creative and found a loophole later to evade it. Serve punishment for gambling is typical for the people who illegally host gambling activities. If you were a player, your punishment is lighter compared to that. A good reason why most sportsbooks were based in countries that legalize them. The overall trend from the government has also changed from banning to legalizing it.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LUNC 1.2% burn per transaction = is this true or lies? on: August 12, 2022, 05:02:46 PM
So basically word of advice is to not touch it, ever! Still don't know why LUNA 2.0 is getting so much attention after the LUNC fiasco.
People are so dumb, they never learn from what they have seen before. So many people are also getting triggered by some scalpers if luna will be going to the moon again. I didn't even know what they were thinking about that. I was getting surprised to see that if luna 2.0 was also getting so many attention. it will never recover what already gone. LUNC is a big fail in the crypto history. people are only betting on it. I will not call those people are investors but they are gambling with scam coin.
Both LUNC and LUNA are the dead horse that is now being led by the pump&dump group. I doubt any sensible investors still look out for this coin, just newbies here. Maybe till the Terra Luna team got to jail for the UST peg bullshit that nails a final coffin to this coin so everyone can finally move on from it.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 12, 2022, 04:43:57 PM
I think without De Jong, Chelsea's midfield is already very solid under Jorginho and Kante's control. But if they manage to buy Frenkie De Jong it will make Chelsea stronger. Their chances are bigger than other clubs.
Chelsea must focus on attackers, because that is the position that is now in the spotlight. The centre-forward should be the main target for not relying enough on Sterling and Havertz considering there is some competition played by Chelsea.
You seem to be very in control of the Chelsea line-up. And if Chelsea needs attacking players, it's better for Chelsea not to spend money to buy Frenkie De Jong anymore because there are already other players who are in the same position as Frenkie De Jong. Because Chelsea should be more focused on seeing players in attacking positions so that Chelsea can still save more money on players that are needed, not for players on the same line.
Frenkie De Jong has stated that he will remain at Barcelona and I think the rumors about his move to Chelsea are over and that will not happen.
Chelsea's midfield is of course very good for now, but other players are also needed to rotate to maintain the team's best game to maintain consistency throughout the season.
but we have to forget about Frenkie De Jong because I believe his transfer to Chelsea will not be realized because the player still really wants to play for Barcelona.
De Jong just wants to stay in Barcelona and play there. But Barcelona wants to transfer him by applying pressure with 'lower your wager or else' tactics. Barcelona thinks De Jong is too high maintain and put him up for Man United and Chelsea to grab which both De Jong has turned down. Poor De Jong wants to play at Barcelona but they do everything to chase him out.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: August 11, 2022, 05:01:03 PM
of some people I have met in the real world, on average they are people who don't like bitcoin because they have lost or lost when investing in bitcoin even though they know they are in the wrong place to start investing, are you like that?
by the way the problem of money laundering crimes, drugs, and what you mentioned already existed before bitcoin was created so there is no reason that bitcoin will act like that as the originator
It happened to every form of currency. I don't think it was exclusive to Bitcoin so people distrust Bitcoin for that is unreasonable. I only saw a good number of dislike for Bitcoin come from the banking system aka the main competitors of Bitcoin if it becomes a common currency in real life.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: August 11, 2022, 04:31:46 PM
If too many bounty projects failed to pay you a good rate for your effort, try to increase your post quality to earn merits. This allows you to join in a higher-tier bounty campaign in the Service board with plenty of good bounties and fixed BTC/USDT payments.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 11, 2022, 04:03:37 PM
Italian's mom struck again. Adrien Rabiot of Juventus let his mom take control in the negotiation with MU, and demanded MU sign a 3-year contract with a salary of 10 million euros per season for her son. She also wants to receive more commissions for herself and tips for her son. Seem like one of the tiger moms, Adrien Rabiot might miss his chance to play with MU because of his mom.
Here is what I found from Le Parisien journalist Dominique Severac said: "She was involved in all his son's decisions, even initiating ideas for Rabiot. Veronique imposed everything on her son. She left an influence. comprehensive to Rabiot's career".
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will people finally abandon Tron? on: August 11, 2022, 03:52:28 PM
I don't think it matters if the technology is outdated or not, as long as it works well and smoothly, unlike the new Solana technology. Most people use TRX to move USDT, one of the major stablecoins. If there was anything wrong with TRX, it is unlikely that Tether would launch their stablecoin on it. But they did and so far there have been no functional problems.
I'd say that old projects are quite amazing and unique creations compared to these new projects that are most likely just a clone. Though I can't say that TRON is really on the high potential because of its market performance, we can't deny also that this project has sustained its position despite the new projects just to popups. That is why I was still confident that investors will keep Tron in their wallets and continue giving support with this as they know that  this is a good asset.
Tron's problem is they don't have a good ecosystem like ETH, BNB, or Sol,... This also makes Tron have cheap fees and fast transactions since its network is relatively unused. If new projects popup like you said, Tron's cheap fees and fast transactions will become worse, bump Tron out of its last bastion against other alts.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: August 10, 2022, 06:08:29 PM
I saw on the news that the xQc streamer made $686 million worth of bets in three months, but I can not find a reliable source to confirm this news. Have you heard anything about it? If this is true, then in my opinion this is a clear disrespect for his viewers, since it is obvious that all the money from this amount is fake - he clearly could not wage such a huge amount.
The best way to confirm any claims 'I won x amount of money in betting' is to get his tax and income report. If he indeed won $686 million worth of bets, it can be easily cross-checked. I don't know much about this xQc streamer but from a google search, he's a Canadian and they do not have to pay taxes on gambling winnings. This might be hard for you to verify his claim after all.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH could take over. on: August 10, 2022, 04:47:52 PM
Yes, the flippening is real. ETH going to overtake BTC in marketcap. Come on, it's too soon for ETH to x2 its total marketcap (220 billion vs BTC 450 billion) and took over the no.1 spot of BTC. Sure the hype over ETH PoS is very strong but very unpredictable to say ETH could x2 its marketcap and flip BTC just like that.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: August 05, 2022, 04:23:21 PM
Yes, early adopters of Bitcoin are rich but not that kind of rich everyone was thinking with hundreds of million. Many of them must have sold Bitcoin when it was at $1000 so they don't have much from it unless they still got 10 BTC for later. Have you seen the guy keep looking for his hard drive in a landfill that stores thousands of Bitcoin? Many early adopters of Bitcoin were like that. Got a lot of Bitcoin but it was impossible for them to keep on holding it with all the milestone prices of Bitcoin.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: August 05, 2022, 03:09:36 PM
The market will keep changing, you won't get a definite answer on what's going to happen next at a high probability chance. Don't limit yourself to the short-term's outlook of the crypto market. Zoom out and see how Bitcoin and crypto have been growing steadily for years. Yeah, it got dump time but what's more important: Can it bound back? By how long?
As an investor, this is where you should pay attention at.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can some AltCoins pump during bear markets ? on: August 05, 2022, 12:33:04 PM
we have entered the bearish season 2022/2023, of course volatility in altcoins will also be higher, Pump and Dump will occur,
because altcoins will follow the movement of Bitcoin prices,

The prices of altcoins don't always follow the movement of Bitcoin price. Sometimes the price of an altcoin can increase because of good news from that altcoin, for examples: there is a new sponsorship, burning program, or new product made by the project team. These are just some examples that can make pump of altcoin prices without the influence of Bitcoin price. Although the price of Bitcoin is decreasing, the price of that altcoin can increase if one of those examples is happening.

Only a few altcoins can go against Bitcoin and market trends. Good news like you said altcoins might bump its price for a short amount of time but eventually the price will rise and fall similar to Bitcoin and the market. That's why don't have too much hope for upcoming good news for an altcoin, you might fall under a pump cycle because of 'priced in' to anticipant it.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the future of Bitcoin uncertain? on: August 04, 2022, 07:42:33 PM
What could be the state of Bitcoin in the future?

This is discussed all the time but I am asking this question because my elder brother said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead. He also said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not be mined so that Bitcoin will not be able to hold its own position.

So I would like to know from you how reasonable this statement is?

I'm pretty sure your brother doesn't know anything about bitcoin, doesn't know how bitcoin works that's why he said that or he hates bitcoin for some reason. We can't tell you exactly what bitcoin will look like in 2025, fall or rise and hit a new all-time high, no one can tell you but to assert that bitcoin will die is a vague, baseless claim. If you are a bitcoin enthusiast, I suggest you learn about bitcoin, read the bitcoin whitepaper and you can find your own answer.
You didn't even require to be knowledgeable about Bitcoin to see his brother's claim is pretty much irrational. How can Bitcoin be dead in 2025 when the market has grown to $400 billion? You can just wide something that big in 3 years from now on, no matter how catastrophic your mind can imagine. Heck, his brother can even say Bitcoin will not be mined so at least, he knows Bitcoin is mineable. That doesnt look like a person knows nothing about Bitcoin at all.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic Catches Triple-Digit Gains During the Last Two Weeks! on: August 04, 2022, 06:11:54 PM
As Vitalik sais - ETC is a good coin for PoW) So you can understand that all ETH PoW lovers will jump into ETC.
ETC is one of the oldest coin and has  maintained its rank in Top 20 coins on coinmarketcap. The Ethereum merge in September-22 (which has compelled miners to switch to ETC)  is behind current hike as well as investment from Grey scale and Antpool. Technically speaking ,the current price of ETC is around $37 and next resistance is at $43 which is very strong. I think we should not jump in at current price and wait for it to go above $45 then it can make further gains. DYOR
The amount of price it will go up is not based on the mining alone. Because, miners may mine it, but miners will also sell it to cover their bills as well. If you are making 2k dollars per month profit from mining ETC, that means you will probably pay 1k of that to electricity alone, and that means you will have to sell your ETC to make that back.

I am not saying that it would make sense to just stop, of course you have to keep going, but ETC will not profit from this as much as people think. There isn't any added new reason for people to "buy" ETC, but if miners switch here then there will be an added reason to sell it which should hurt the price more than it helps.
What you're saying is the same as most investors have in mind. Miners can't just justify the price of their mined coin with diff, how much electricity they are paying, and how much money they have put in their rigs. No, you can't do that, demand a higher price for that coin when there is no increase in coin use case and users behind it. ETC is far behind ETH in that term. I doubt it could grow to x10 of its price now thanks to diff increase.
38  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we hodling BTC or we are hodling Fiat?? on: August 04, 2022, 05:46:28 PM
Of course, Bitcoin holding is better than Fiat, the fact that is happening now is that there is a lot of inflation, while Bitcoin continues to rise so that it can be the main choice for investment, but we must understand that Bitcoin holding is very risky because the opportunity for drops can also occur quickly.
Bitcoin is far from being the main option for the investment, many are still hesitant to buy and we cannot blame them because of so many issues with cryptomarket recently, this can discourage possible investor to come in the market if they are still seeing a bad reputation. Well, either holding fiat or btc it doesn't matter because it can't grow without taking any action, if you are buying with BTC then you should start analyzing, and if you have extra fiat money think on where you can put that money so you can beat the inflation and make it grow. Just hold the good coins, and with BTC it is still a good option despite of that pump and dump trend.
The idea is on point except for the last line which contradicted your previous statements. Indeed we have our own choices or decisions when it comes on investment. It is not a secret that volatility is on another level when it comes to cryptocurrency, in comparison with other means of investment. Likewise with different investors; some are into 'stable but small profit' while others are into risks.
Fiat suddenly came to the ' spotlight of the scene' of investments because of how the world market behaves, recently.
I think most investors want to hold Bitcoin but can't really turn down a chance to 'scalper' or take profit when Bitcoin is at high and later turn to low in terms of price. Fiat helps investors to grow their net worth no matter if it was fiat or Bitcoin. Try to anticipant and speculate the future price of the crypto market to increase your worth is the basics of trading. Holding fiat or Bitcoin doesn't carry a stigma like many Bitcoin-only lovers want to shame you.
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 04, 2022, 04:35:00 PM
If you ask this question pre-August, late July, I'd say yes. But now? Oh boy, the China-Taiwan event seems hot every day and I dont know what could await us over the horizon anymore. Can't catch a break after the Russia-Ukraine war and now this. Do you know how much maritime traffic carries goods around the globe pass thru the Taiwan Strait? And it was right next to China, the world's sweatshop too. An increase in tension around Taiwan Strait could send the whole market tumbling down on the bleak outlook of the potential of war or skirmish between two sides, China and Taiwan/US/Japan.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is helping to eradicate poverty in poor countries on: August 03, 2022, 06:17:25 PM
Lol, Bitcoin isn't helping poverty, but lucky people can become rich right now if he's an early adopter.

Bitcoin isn't a charity where any poor people can get Bitcoin to buy a food, faucet is considered as free Bitcoin but you need to spend for around a month only to buy a burger. Poor people didn't even have electricity and internet access, how can they know Bitcoin? Also if Bitcoin can help poverty, I'll never see any beggars asking for money when a pedestrian walking near them.
I think some bounty hunters got the wrong impression that Bitcoin can help poor people earn an income from doing crypto bounty works. From there, have enough funds to invest in Bitcoin/crypto projects and dream about hitting 10x of your investment. Completely bullcrap.
