21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scam? ICO Scam? IEO Scam and Now DeFi Scam? on: December 09, 2020, 12:08:09 PM
If you think you're being offended, you need to grow thicker skin. In the past before many people screaming ICO scam on 2018-2019, there're many people said Bitcoin is scam Tongue

Don't worry about their opinion against your choice and believing, they'll realize and regret until the coin in bullish.

It's true that many called BTC scam in the past, but many got to realize they missed a huge investment opportunity. However this does not apply to ICOs generally since obviously most are scams (moneygrabs for selfish interests of developers). Some ICOs are legit but sometimes it's difficult to know which is not scam. In the case of IEO, anyone saying its scam didn't participate in IEO from a trustworthy exchange with high reputation. Also, presently too many new DEFI projects do token sales on their website, and hence those who get scammed via this means will regard DEFI as scam, which does not make any sense.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could There Be One World Digital Currency? on: December 09, 2020, 10:46:06 AM
I believe that will be happened in future but for that, need long time to fulfill. although I'm not sure about bitcoin even others Crypto cause its hard for any crypto to take place as one world digital currency.crypto aren't still enough secure, not stable, even can be manipulate.so don't think can be substitution for fiat.maybe something new invension is waiting for us for make one world order

It's an illusion to even think that there will come a time when there'll be one universal cryptocurrency used worldwide, or to think crypto will ever replace FIAT. Let's assume there is going to be a currency used universally worldwide, it's never going to be any existing cryptocurrency. The world powers understand the risk involved in doing such, hence I doubt if it will ever be obtainable.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my curiosity on: December 08, 2020, 06:18:45 PM
It's not a surprise that emporium.finance project scammed , even so many projects looking so cool from onset still scam hence the reason why we should be extremely careful what we invest in and what we promote. Sometimes many crypto enthusiasts ignorantly invest in and promote scam projects, even after doing some level of research. I always try to verify if team is real and never invest in or promote projects with anonymous team nowadays to avoid regrets.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Despite hitting new 2020 highs, DeFi token gains in November outperform Bitcoin on: December 08, 2020, 12:55:26 PM
A lot of attention has shifted to Bitcoin since its massive Bull Run to new 2020 highs. The digital asset has surged from around $12,000 to over $19,000 in the last 2 months. And just like three years ago, the predictions have started rolling in, with some analysts predicting a price of $300,000 by the end of next year

I expected to see some write up about "DEFI Token gains outperforming Bitcoin" as seen on the topic, but the body just highlights BTC new highs. When comparing alts with BTC, you should consider a longer time frame and obviously BTC gains outperforms DEFI gains by far over longer time frame. Nobody knows when the DEFI hype will completely die down for a new trend to sprout.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fast food restaurants accepting crypto as payment method? on: December 07, 2020, 10:43:35 PM
Aside using Bitpay or coinspayment to directly convert crypto to FIAT when paying for services like restaurant and hotel due to crypto volatility, I think stable coins like USDT, USDC, BUSD etc fit in this description. Well, I'm yet to pay with crypto in fast food or restaurant but I've come across articles talking about restaurants where it's acceptable. Will be really cool 😎 to try it out.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a scam? on: December 07, 2020, 07:56:24 PM
Hi guys. I am new trader here. I had previously sold LTC/USDT at $70 at market price but when the transaction went through it show $47 a coin. I double check and triple check the price stay around $70+ the whole day never drop until $47 which is ridiculous. I wanna ask is there a actual reason why this might happen or it just a scam trading app?

Two things are involved here, it's either there was a flash crash in price leading to massive dump and immediate recovery or the app is scam. But even if there was a flash dump/crash, it should have reflected on the chart, not otherwise. By the way, I checked the app you used and its obviously untrusted. Let's be mindful of the trading platforms we use.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: December 07, 2020, 03:39:54 PM
Greed is the root cause of loss. Even emotional traders also end up in loss. There are only 5-10% of investors are successful in the crypto market who follows the basics and fundamentals of the market they treat this market seriously. They do not trade like a gambler. The current condition of the market is very enticing for the investors most of us are thinking Btc will create a new high in the coming time but we never know what will happen. Chances are higher of rising the market but one should control its greed otherwise will end up in loss.

Greed is a very crucial factor which must be controlled to become a successful trader. When I started trading newly, I used to set very high targets which hardly get achieved. Sometimes I see above 100% profit but greed won't allow me take profit, I'll be waiting for more profit but at the end of the day I end up selling for smaller profit or even at loss. I learnt the hard way and now I'm thankful to be a good trader. Aside greed, we should always know when to leave a trade, whether in profit or at loss. This is the more reason why I use OCO (order cancel order), whereby I set my sell target and stop loss.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to DeFi? on: December 07, 2020, 12:34:03 PM
DeFi is an interesting upgrade of Finance and is looking to take over Centralized Finance, but with the insecurity features, this is going to be a pipe dream.

DEFI has awesome impact in revamping finance sector, but it's never going to replace centralized finance. Saying DEFI will replace CEFI is just like saying crypto will replace FIAT. Both DEFI and centralized finance will co-exist. We still have a long way to go for DEFI to go mainstream, since there are still security concerns to be tackled. For instance, DEFI platforms offering flash loans and staking keep getting hacked here and there. It's one of the areas DEFI projects needs to improve on.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is uniswap a good place for the new tokens? on: December 06, 2020, 09:51:57 PM
Its like etherdelta all over again
What is your opinions about that ??

UNISWAP has some similarities with etherdelta being a DEX, but there are very clear differences. For etherdelta, there is nothing like adding liquidity to a pair, but uniswap has that feature. Also, for uniswap you can swap directly in your wallet, however etherdelta requires transfer of funds to etherdelta before trading and withdrawal of funds after trading even though you can connect easily with metamask, just like uniswap. Another difference is that Uniswap doesn't display order book, like etherdelta.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest me some defi coins to Invest right now on: December 06, 2020, 04:52:00 PM

Well, guys lam new to cypto.I don't know very much about it.but iam learning day by day. I have some question regarding selecting coins to invest(especially unknown coins)

The DeFi is losing!

Now I recommend you altacoins like ETH, ADA, XLM, LTC, TRX, BTC.

How is DEFI losing, you are getting it twisted? The coins you mentioned are awesome, but don't forget that ETH blockchain birthed many DEFI projects. Actually the DEFI hype doesn't cause FOMO like when the trend started, but many DEFI projects are doing great. Some DEFI coins like DMG and OM which dipped so badly, I took some risk to buy the dips after seeing some upcoming news and made huge profit. Also SUSHI gave cool profit lately, but I missed the train. Someone already recommended YFI, LINK, CRV, etc I think you should go to DEFI section on Coinmarketcap and do some personal research on top DEFI projects, ranked according to market cap.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is there a place to trade cryptocurencies for free without commision fees on: December 06, 2020, 01:41:32 PM
I think Kobinhood was launched to provide zero fees but I am not sure today's state. Besides, it is not popular. DEX provides free trading, I guess.

Yes that's true, but cobinhood already folded up due to team internal issues and probably funding issues. An exchange needs trading fees for sustainability, so that they can pay workers, employ more workers when need be, carry out upgrades etc. They can't depend entirely on listing fees, what if new projects hardly list on the exchange, it eventually folds.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile wallet is more important on: December 05, 2020, 10:16:50 PM
It's becoming a frustrating issue when new project you have interest in have no mobile wallet, for over a year and half now I've waited for a project to built their mobile wallet but nothing so far, what are developers thinking? We are in an era where by mobility is the best choice for most people, who still sits in from on a computer just to send coins ? You also have to keep syncing the coin blockchain too to stay updated.

Don't blame people for not investing when you aren't making things easier for them, mobile users are much more than PC users, dear developers start considering mobile wallet pls

Sometimes I get paranoid waiting for blocks to finish syncing on desktop wallet, windows precisely. It's true that most crypto enthusiasts use mobile wallets more often, compared to desktop wallet. This year, I've used desktop wallets for transactions just very few times, but I often use mobile wallet precisely trust wallet. Any project without mobile wallet, not really my thing.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If crowdfunding started from IEO on: December 05, 2020, 07:21:33 PM
If IEO was the very first crowdfunding pattern, maybe by now a newer kind of crowdfunding would have been enacted. However, IEO done on reputable exchanges has instilled great trust in investors and most crypto enthusiasts are comfortable with it. Even after IEO, we all saw a newer strategy by name IMO (Initial Model Offering) which failed wholefully. Unlike IEO which releases user funds after launchpad event, the IMO model releases investors coins bit by bit, across a year and also there are series of IMO sales for a particular coin even when it's trading. That aside, maybe a newer model similar to Bounce.finance which works in a decentralized fashion would have been enacted too, or maybe a better option.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe I made the right choice on: December 05, 2020, 05:01:23 PM
If you think it's the best decision then it's good for you, Op. As you have mentioned, you're not earning that much from mining so I guess it isn't a stupid decision but rather a wise choice to sell your mining rigs in exchange for altcoin investment. However, it will be worth it if you'll buy altcoins at the best time and sell it in a profitable season. Sometimes sacrificing something for a better opportunity to earn is the best choice that we can do.

Actually if something doesn't work for you or stop being profitable, it's wise to switch to a new option. Investing in top altcoins especially the ones mentioned by OP isn't a bad idea, but getting good entries is important. Well, presently some of the top altcoins are still undervalued in my opinion. However, this doesn't mean he might not regret selling his old rigs for altcoins, since anything can happen in crypto market.
35  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Another malicious browser extension is advertised on Google search on: December 05, 2020, 01:48:11 PM
Scammers keep cloning metamask and other crypto websites, and even creating fake apps for crypto projects. This is the more reason why I bookmark official websites that I use often, I don't click random links. It's very important to be keen and crosscheck thoroughly any website or app we download, to avoid hack. The fakes like meramask.io can be spotted easily if you check properly before clicking, however sometimes scammers play on our intelligence by replacing capital i (I) with small L (l), in this case both look similar but different when applied to  domain names. OP thanks for pointing this out, at least it will create more awareness for safety.
36  Economy / Exchanges / Re: It seems that KYC will be a must for all CEX users in Future on: December 05, 2020, 12:18:00 PM
I think KYC is not bad, it makes it possible for everyone to protect their accounts.
In case you lose your account, KYC is the best proof for you to find your account again.
However, people should not do KYC for small and less reputable transactions.

You mentioned clearly the advantage of KYC, because without it, retrieving hack accounts won't be easy. A friend was able to retrieve her account after 3 weeks on Binance because it was KYC verified. A video verification was made to ensure the rightful owner will be in control of the account, she was asked to hold required documents during the video verification to crosscheck with the ones uploaded in the system. KYC is cool for those who have large amount of funds on centralized exchanges. KYC should never be mandatory for those who trade with smaller funds, say below 1BTC. If KYC becomes a requisite before trading, then more and more people will adopt DEX, since some people won't want to share their ID.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: December 04, 2020, 09:05:35 PM
that's what is happening now, the cost of ETH gas is getting crazy.  I as a minor player was shocked when I saw the very high cost of ETH gas.  I hope that in the future the cost of ETH gas will be cheaper, otherwise everyone will switch to other, cheaper networks.  I myself do not know why the cost of gas is so expensive, in contrast to 2017 the cost of gas is very cheap.

It's true that ETH gas fee is higher than some other blockchains like TRON and Binance chain, but there is still hope that it can be reduced in future. Nobody imagined staking with ETH, when the algorithm was POW. So too let's be patient and hope for the best.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: December 04, 2020, 04:04:46 PM
I think not yet because there's a lot of things that DEX cannot do right now compare to CEX. DeFi is having a great run this year but with lots of scams and hacks going on, people like me still prefer to use CEX for the safety of my investment.

Like seriously? CEX for safety of your investments? I think you are talking the opposite. Remember you are never in total control of your funds when it comes to centralized exchanges and CEX are prone to hacks, but for DEX like UNISWAP, your funds will be in your possession while you carry out swaps. Decentralized exchanges achieved huge milestones this year, the major propeller was Uniswap. Uniswap's large trading volumes and liquidity shows a lot of interest was drifted towards it, many other DEX which cloned Uniswap are fast rising even on other blockchains like TRON and BSC.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going to be the next gem on: December 04, 2020, 02:13:04 PM

I think Bitcoin is going to be the next gem

Bitcoin is already a gem, it's not "going to be". Over the years, the gains gotten from Bitcoin investment surpasses most investments. I think the phrase "next gem" should be used when talking about a prospective altcoin, not BTC. I will personally hold some of my BTC for many more years, provided no tragedy comes up in future. I think those investing in BTC presently are not even late, more greater heights to be achieved even though there will surely be ups and downs in between.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 fastest crypto coins on: December 03, 2020, 02:03:18 PM
BTC, ETH, ADA are among the fastest coins. These coins grow well after a certain period of time and give good profit to the holders. It is expected that the price of Bitcoin will be 20,000 / 25,000 this year. It seemed to me looking at the market and various news. And if the price of bitcoin goes up, the price of all coins will go up. This is normal. A few days ago chainlink performed very well. At present its price is medium.

Are you sure you understood the topic? The coins you mentioned are far from fastest coins, you even included BTC which right now is among the slowest with regards speed of transaction. You didn't include TRX, NEO, XLM (just to mention a few from personal experience ) which are very fast comparatively. ETH you included isn't fast enough , even though we are hoping soon speed of transaction will increase for ETH with the ongoing developments. I think the slow speed of some transaction for some coins is influenced by number of users onchain.
