I've personally gave that account a negative rep in the meantime. Please ping me should the account be restored for the rep removal.

Quoting for posterity. So a newbie account refusing escrow, linking to and copying images from an ebay listing, looking for a fast auction.... with a bunch of immediate bids from other newbies and a flagged/accused scam account? Nothing suspicious here nothing suspicious indeed lol /s

Hello, I'm currently in a tight money situation where I need the money by nighttime today, and I am selling 100 AADS Shares on havelock investments. Recently, the stock was closed down on and september 15th they will redeem each unit for 0.003btc, meaning that in 3 days you will receive 0.3btc total. That means you will make 0.05btc just by waiting 3 days. I will transfer them via the on site transfer utility. We can trade in batches of 10-20 where i'll go first, but won't risk losing too much money at once. If you are not trustworthy, we will use another method of escrow/middleman. Here is a link to the AADS on Havelock: https://www.havelockinvestments.com/fund.php?symbol=AADSThis is in the 'update' panel: UpdatesSeptember 7th, 2017 - Dear AADS unit holders.
As announced on the 1st of September 2017, we are buying back the AADS units and closing the fund. AADS Management has set the Buyback price at BTC 0.0003 per Unit (which is higher than BTC 0.00024752 - the weighted average in August 2017).
The trading of Units will be suspended on Monday, the 11th of September 2017.
You will receive bitcoin to your Havelock account by Friday, the 15th of September 2017.Can you please let us know where you got the price of 0.003 btc when on the site the last price per unit was ฿0.00029990 which is 10x less than the price you have predicted, also on the site there's no mention that they will be buying back on the 15th or the price or the market place being re-opened, can you provide a link with these details and I might be interested if all you said is true. I do see the update op mentioned (it's 0.0003 not 0.003 btc btw) under the update tab. https://www.havelockinvestments.com/fund.php?symbol=AADS&action=getupdatesPS: Beware - note that the buyer here for the 100 shares will actually get 0.0003 * 100 = 0.03 btc instead of 0.3 BTC as promised. So the 100 shares for 0.25 isn't a good deal at all.

Here's to confirm that I'm the escrow for the transaction here between crowetic and GMPoison, and the transaction is in progress. Thank you to all parties involved here.

I opened a small safe deposit box at a nearby bank branch for my physical coins. Pretty handy too as someone rifled through my stuff last year and didn't make it off with anything of value.

Interesting. From the image shown, it seems to be land-locked from the main road though...

|
|
Someone pinged me on social media on him, apparently he's wanted or something again lately. I'm still waiting for my promised BTC3 lol

Welp, the site is not reachable for me right now.

It happens sometimes when the servers are overloaded.

Trezor is the most reputable one out there, but the current buying wait is about 1 month.

I've added a comment to the trust I left for him - hopefully this is just his heir/family, not someone nefarious.

That's gonna be the most interesting thing auctioned yet here

|

Added a negative feedback for him - hopefully that helps. Do PM me if resolved though, thanks

It's normal to Bitcoin Forum ~$ ping -s 1 -c 1 bitcointalk.org PING bitcointalk.org (107.21.115.227) 1(29) bytes of data.
--- bitcointalk.org ping statistics --- 1 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 0ms
My trouble is: ~$ nslookup bitcointalk.org ;; Got SERVFAIL reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, trying next server Server: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx#53
Non-authoritative answer: Name: bitcointalk.org Address: 8.7.198.45
What is 8.7.198.45? Is it Bitcoin Forum's IDC? If you're behind GFW that should be one of their fake addresses. GFW employs a DNS poisoning attack to hijack the location of blacklisted sites. That IP is a pretty common fake/misdirection IP that they use. You'll have to rely on external services to get the actual IP address for blocked sites.
