Please state and agree to the conditions (if item is received damaged, item lost with tracking, customs fee etc) beforehand.
What are the conditions? zenbow Ah, that's just a part from my general escrow contract. I normally state that as there would be additional agreements/T&C's between the buyer and seller themselves, and thus implying that they should state them beforehand so that I can arbitrate in a fairer way if there's any disputes afterwards.

No, mods do not make this decision.
That said, this is bitcointalk.org not cryptotalk.org, so I find your proposal extremely hard, if not impossible to realize here. We're having enough problems with the next *coin popping up to pump and dump the poor newbies now.
That's not to say that we can't have talk of REAL cryptos in the main board... How do you define 'real' cryptos then?

I just concluded another successful escrow transaction with JohnK's service, it was a pleasure as always. Same experience as I'm sure everyone else has posted about in this thread; terrific communication, all messages GPG-signed, completely professional, etc!
Would recommend to anyone in need of his services, and will continue to use him myself for all my escrow needs.
Thanks again John! You provide a both a terrific service, and example, for the entire Bitcoin community.
Thanks for the kind words! PS: I was partially down with fever for the last two days. Feeling better today so hopefully I can maintain my activeness here.

still, this doesn't make sense to me. why does john not simply keep your money until delivery of the chips, and then pay the seller? why does it need to be the double amount?
the reason to use escrow is to wait with the payment to the seller until delivery, to keep up the incentive (payment) for the seller to deliver. why would he need to pay anything?
TL;DR: There's still a chance that the seller might sell the chips later on to another user if they offer a better price to him, and thus a deposit of sort is needed to disincentivize that.

The escrow address for Adeel06's KnCMiner Jupiter group buy is:
17CYWbhoYbGq93x1bJPhk8m4NyMnqJaLAk
Please state and agree to the conditions (if item is received damaged, item lost with tracking, customs fee etc) beforehand.
If possible, GPG sign your agreement to prevent any discrepancies later on and please ship with tracking to prevent problems during delivery. GPG signing is not a requirement, and any verbal exchange in the form of private messages or posts on bitcointalk.org, or email is effective as a statement of condition.
Do note that I am only responsible for the funds up to the point it is sent to KnCMiner. Any losses incurred by KnCMiner's or Adeel06's failure to ship/reship will not be borne by me, but I will release the following data to aid in litigation actions.
In addition to that, I confirm the receipt of:
1) Photo of Adeel06's School ID 2) Photo of Adeel06's Driving Licence
The fine print: This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which refers to the pseudonyms used on bitcointalk.org. The escrow holder, John, assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the deal to the fullest extent he is capable of. On the event that any problems arises, he will release the escrow to whichever party that presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others or theymos. The verbal acceptance by both parties (or the failure to reject) and the sending of Bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated, and the activation of this Contract.
Please understand that I am assuming the risk of holding the escrowed Bitcoins, and I am using my own time to facilitate this transaction. I am imposing a fixed and nonrefundable fee of 2% for this transaction, to be deducted when the funds are moved, regardless of the completion status of the group buy.
Thank you.

What? That ad has been in my profile since Feb/January if I'm not wrong. I originally had that in after being a bit short on my monthly bitcoin purchase, and it's grown on me ever since. It could be that I just never noticed the colors in your signature before. I honestly never paid much attention to signatures at all until about the last week or so when the coloured background, large font paid advertisements really started to take off. Now it's getting annoying to the point at which I've started to ignore some people for no reason other than their signatures makes the page look ugly and unreadable. I guess the other possibility is that something nefarious is going on. How long have you been advertising for PLAYTIN Casino? https://i.imgur.com/4b8uRJF.pngSince Jan/Feb if I'm not wrong this year. I might consider removing it next month when the agreement I have with them is over though now that you've pointed this out.

It's always suspicious when they require a PM. But how did he get the signed message if he doesn't actually have the shares?
He's probably trying to pull a Kruniac off and selling his same shares from multiple sockies.

It's my opinion that a lot of investors simply don't understand how mining works. If they did, then they would understand that AM hardware and shares are vastly overpriced.
Just like a lot of people paying silly money for mining bonds have found out, AM investors will come to the same realisation that share prices are currently way overpriced.
LISTEN AND LISTEN CAREFULLY. The only reason why AM is able to charge such outrageous prices is because they've had no competition. By the end of the year, there will be plenty of competition. Here's a quick comparison:
AM Block Erupter Blade 10 Gh/s 50 BTC = 5,000 USD @ 100 USD/BTC 2 Mh/s per USD
KNC Jupiter 350 Gh/s 7,000 USD @ 100 USD/BTC 50 Mh/s per USD
It should be blatantly obvious to anyone with half a brain that there's going to be a lot less income from hardware sales due to competition. That same competition will also decrease AM's share of the network hash rate.
AM share holders are going to get hit by a good dose of reality in the coming months. Perhaps then they will stop listening to idiots trying to flog them overpriced stuff and do the maths themselves.
Where can I get a KNC Jupiter? I want to start mining with it tomorrow. I have the cash right now. +1. I want a lot of them too, and not just one.

Well, I confirm this with my part as the poor escrow here. I've been seeing the scamming rate on AM shares increase lately, so be careful out there!
