381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 3D renders - Free to use as wallpaper, for promotion, or commercially on: November 15, 2014, 05:31:49 PM
I set up a place where you can buy prints (and pay in Bitcoin). Quite happy with the results:
..

My goodness, that is so gorgeous!
382  Economy / Services / Re: English to Chinese translation service. on: November 15, 2014, 05:24:12 PM
GOOD LUCK.
In my idea:
It's easy that English translation into Chinese if you use automatic translation software, but Chinese translation English ,that always harder .

and that true that  China is g big market in the world.
No, you're wrong.

1, I do the translation, not the stupid software.

2, Using translation software to do the English-Chinese is terrible as well, and can't even be read, you don't speak Chinese so you feel the translation is fine or easy.

absolutely! Chinese is one of the most complicated language in the world. If you learn a little bit of it, you will know how hard to learn it. It is impossible for the software to translate the original meaning completely to the readers in other language.

+1 I have been a native speaker of Chinese and English (raised in a bilingual family with relatives and friends regularly speaking in various Chinese dialects), and I fully understand the hardship behind translating between this two languages. Other languages like French and Malay/Indonesian are much more similar to English, and the translation between them is far more easier.
383  Economy / Lending / Re: 1.5 or 2 BTC Investment Opportunity [UPDATED] on: November 15, 2014, 05:05:01 PM
OP messaged me about investing in his venture, but went offline after I mentioned I'm from the same area with him.

Yeah, I imagine they'd try take in investments somehow, though something tells me if you suddenly started up a ponzi you'd lose that lovely green feedback pretty fast so would probably be a waste of money for them  Cheesy.

Nooo! My ponzi plans have been foiled! Tongue

387  Other / Meta / Re: How much is the current donation price for the forums? on: November 15, 2014, 07:16:13 AM
Not necessarily. 50btc wasn't much back then and not everyone who donated kept a load of coins. Some maybe lost theirs in investments or scams etc. Some donators/VIPs who even still had a lot of coins wanted their money back and regret their decision to donate (goat comes to mind).
And Matthew. Speaking about the devil, is he and Goat on leave too?
388  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a loan of 0.1 BTC, I will pay you back 2 BTC on: November 15, 2014, 07:04:09 AM
You guys sure are ignorant...

Anyway, mean while I have got 0.15 BTC without loaning, and I am earning great BTC.

I should start making 0.1 BTC a day next year Smiley

And no, I am not the same person with that guy and I have not received anything from him.

So yeah... I am not a scamming person and everyone who thinks I am is just plain ignorant and worthless human being.

Good day.
Congratulations?

Whoa!   Good to see you John K.

Hey, nice to see the older people around! Cheesy I certainly have taken a hiatus too long this time..

...

Haha. Damn, someone could probably do some serious damage if they got your account. Did the people ever make any actual monetary offers? I imagine your account would be one of the most valuable here.

I don't remember exactly, but I remember getting 'partnership requests for profit' and off the table offers in the 50+BTC region. I would imagine scammers would be much interested in using my account as a ponzi front, and that's one of the reasons why I mentioned I would never ask to borrow BTC in any form.
390  Other / Meta / Re: How much is the current donation price for the forums? on: November 15, 2014, 06:21:36 AM
Nope, the standard donation rate for ranks have always been pegged to BTC, not USD. Donator rank is 10 BTC, and VIP 50 BTC.

So it's basically, only old members are the ones entitled to have VIP/Donator titles  Roll Eyes

Thanks for clearing this out!
I remember this being discussed to a finer detail when BTC first started to surge; theymos mentioned that it would be unfair for older donors if the requirement was arbitrarily lowered as a BTC back then is quintessentially the same as a BTC now. (forgoing the exchange rate of course)

You're welcome. Smiley

/start rant/
Nope. Never. And stop with the random emails about 'buying your account' too please. I've been getting offers on my account during my hiatus, and seriously I'm not even considering that for any amount of money. Especially when my real life ID, PGP, and personal dealings are tied to it.
/end rant/
393  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk.org does not open at my home computers :( on: November 13, 2014, 05:50:37 PM
Did you try using a VPN/proxy to access bitcointalk when it was offline for your ISP connection? It might be your ISP fooling around and blocking bitcoin related stuff during those occurances..
well welcome back!

How long have you been back for?
For a few days Cheesy thanks, it's been so long.

394  Economy / Lending / Re: Searching investors or partners or 15 BTC loan for B1bl3Coin project on: November 13, 2014, 03:31:27 PM
Can we just move this to the altcoin section and let it be done?
395  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 10BTC loan [Collateral inside] - payback 1 month with 10% interest on: November 13, 2014, 03:29:53 PM
Still waiting, let me know when you send collateral.

Bitcoin-Police is a lender  Huh  Cool

I only lend amounts equal or above to 10BTC. Provided sufficient collateral is offered.

I suggest the involvement of an escrow especially since the amount is pretty high and none of you is hero/legendary member.

This. And no, your username does not mean anything as there is no trust attached to it.
