21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hard Fork Drama? on: December 28, 2015, 04:08:23 PM
I don't even think thermos can explain it, but you're missing the point.
Which is the drama is supposed to be out of just grasp for the rational mind to comprehend.

That is what makes it so entertaining. Smiley

/r/Buttcoin makes a good job cataloging the interesting bits as they happen on reddit, as for the part that is going on in this forum and on irc I don't think anybody has the time for that.
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: December 20, 2015, 10:50:42 AM
Well, well, well... I am back for an update.

Originally (in Post #1) sold my house for approximately $400,000 Canadian, and got approximately 648 BTC in the transaction. BTC is currently at approximately $450 US each. This makes my investment worth $291,600 in U.S. Dollars. Now also note that the Canadian Dollar has tanked really hard in the last year and is now at a 12 year low, around .72c US. That makes my Bitcoin currently worth $405,000 Canadian!. I am currently up on my initial investment! I did weather the storm when it sat at $200 for a long time (and crapped my pants from time to time and did a lot of drinking), but now my time has come. For all those that laughed, we will see who is laughing in 2016!

HODL!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year,

Tay More

We sure gonna choke on our laughter.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you're hoping for economic disaster to raise price, then you're not a "bull" on: December 15, 2015, 01:58:34 AM
TERA, I'm not sure if you are aware of Christan fundamentalism in the United States and it's role in conservative and libertarian ideology.

There is a huge sub-culture which is essentially a doomsday cult inspired by the biblical Armageddon. The point here is that some large fraction of that cult doesn't take the text literally, instead they look for alternative "modern day" equivalents. This is especially the case with Libertarians who might not even admit to or be consciously aware of their religiously and culturally influenced bias.
You are probably aware of Zero "Batshit Insane" Hedge who has been doing what TV-Evangelists do only for financial collapse which will surely happen next Tuesday.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 nakamoto's ? 1 dead -> bullish? on: December 09, 2015, 05:40:54 PM
This guy is not Satoshi until he cryptographically proves it. Back off already.

You know, it's a tribute to cluelessnes for the speculation forum that you even have to post this.
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sick of these fucking erratic low volume Stop Farming exchanges. on: December 08, 2015, 03:51:15 AM
Rumor has it that OKcoin and Houbi both started to run their own variants of what essentially was the mtgox Willy bot and that's why the volume on those exchanges is through the roof, even beyond what can be explained with zero fees.

CCMF! Until the exit scam at least.  Cheesy
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Everything Bearish Thread on: December 02, 2015, 07:13:27 PM
Good News, Everyone!
From our burgeoning 'Let's get sushi... and not pay!' department.

The GAW scam is 100% a bitcoin thing, in the sense that about ever last sucker comes from this community.

Bitcoiners are the most scammable people out there, except perhaps the ones responding to Nigerian prince spam.
But not by much.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illuminati End Game Started --- effects on BTC on: November 21, 2015, 09:41:21 PM
Gonna have to side with not-Hyenas on this one. You are just trying to drown people out with volume without substance. It's a shitty debate tactic.

Objectively speaking, you are right. But the show must go on. We're on the 10th page already Cheesy with such a poor quality OP it's just miraculous.

It's hard to look away from. Much like this.
28  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lamb Crotch Appreciation/Condemnation/Speculation Lounge on: November 20, 2015, 08:01:56 PM
This is why we are infested with trolls. You asshats treat them as celebrities.

Dude, this is a forum where you've used to get a special status (the yellow button) from other posters ignore settings. There even was a toplist regularly updated by the forum admin.
Has lead to a contest to be on top between  MOE-PR and smoothie and myself. So yes we are, theymos condoned it.

I'm still miffed I lost lol.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illuminati End Game Started --- effects on BTC on: November 20, 2015, 11:56:31 AM

Its an interesting website, the logo looks like a brain in a box, which seems very apt to me. From what I've looked at so far you can conclude that yes, every conspiracy theory is wrong (and a bit ridiculous).

They also have a bunch on Bitcoin, Libertarianism and tickle down economics. Definitely a site of my own heart, may be a little circle-jerky for my taste but the snark is still awesome.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illuminati End Game Started --- effects on BTC on: November 19, 2015, 10:51:49 PM
The guys was calling for help. Retard.
Why even bother. When your delusional the truth is of no help. His grand conspiracy will accommodate any facts that enter the picture. If he can't get the round peg into the square hole then the hole must be part of the secret plot to get him.

Because one would hope he might not end up having to take daily neuroleptics for the rest of his life.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: European Union to crack down on Bitcoin on: November 19, 2015, 10:36:23 PM
This thread is bullish on comedy gold shit.

You people should accept that the r0ach poster is typical of what this forum has become. 8chan, but with a gambling problem.
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illuminati End Game Started --- effects on BTC on: November 17, 2015, 10:52:45 PM
Yes, they are already doing something suspicious near the Sun with their black cubes.

I'm sure these borg cubes don't have metaphasic shields.

So you believe star trek is real, well here's a new one.
33  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illuminati End Game Started --- effects on BTC on: November 17, 2015, 10:47:33 PM
Ok I can confirm, as a french, translating "illuminé" with Illuminati is totally bullshit, in the speech you can understand this word as "fool" or "someone who has visions". Wow, the two words are similar. Roll Eyes If I describe this translation as completely " naze", do I need to precise it has nothing to do with Nazis ?

You might have a point there. People tend to hear what they want to hear. I'm not taking sides here with what the French president said. I do know, however, that it was a false flag terrorist attack the same way 9/11 was. It was executed by the same people.

to those that still think that everything is normal in 2015, take a look at this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvnQcDua3Ms

2 fucking suns in the sky. some strange shit is going on. it's time to wake up, people!

It is users like Hyena that scare off normal people who would actively help the bitcoin community because of bat poop crazy posts like this

On the other hand users like Hyena keep people like me interested in coming here. Enjoy the spectacle.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mmm global on: November 10, 2015, 08:13:17 PM
I think the rise of bitcoin from 250 to 500 is not just caused by MMM. Otherwise there is no reason for it to drop from 500 to 350. There is no news about the collapse of the Ponzi scheme.
The rise from 200 to 300 probably was caused by MMM and the rise from 300 to 500 by speculators who think MMM will drive up demand. Or the other way around.
That is not entirely without merit though as it would be boring if prices continue on their downward slope now and that ponzi could attract lots of people who have no regard for their losses because they think they can cash out before it collapses.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to Spot Trolls and Shills attempting to influence sentiment (and Price) on: November 07, 2015, 03:17:57 PM
They often have a nonsensical name, an avatar that portrays something that isn't political or a bitcoin logo and a joke in the signature and they frequently post one-liners that have a sarcastic undertone in them.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis ended on: November 06, 2015, 01:41:08 AM
get out.
what about 2011?

2011 was part of I

37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Financial Crisis In November (perfectly aligns with BTC rally) on: November 03, 2015, 10:36:32 PM
I expected a zerohedge link.
Disappointed, would not click again.
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 03, 2015, 09:42:36 PM
2 years of build up.

anyone else euphoric right now?

Yeah, the anticipation is killing me.
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the runup being driven by the MMM Global Ponzi? on: November 01, 2015, 11:16:21 PM
I hope this gets hugely popular in this forum, pirateat40s ponzi did, despite that (uh time to gloat) I called it a "classical hyip scam" at the first post after OP.
You guys will swallow everything if it promises fast riches, come on, do it! I can see wide your wide-eyed moon faces already.

Also don't forget to buy more bitcoins so you can invest them in this mountain of awesome.
