True story. WhatsApp, a damn chat program, was sold for 22 billion.

Hey look at this overvalued overhyped thing, surely our overvalued overhyped thing should be worth much more.

lol I can't wait to laugh at his broke ass.
623  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: October 16, 2014, 03:07:57 PM
if a private defense agency decides it makes economic sense to hold aircraft carriers to protect its customers, then sure, why not.

624  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: October 16, 2014, 03:00:38 PM
the goal is to dismantle the government, abolish all taxes and allow anyone to offer the services the government is currently monopolizing.

Like running Aircraft carriers?  Cheesy
You see even if you would by some miracle take out your "targets" it would still not give you control over the real means power is projected in this world.

That's why any successful coup in recent history was a military one.
625  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: October 16, 2014, 02:51:57 PM
even if none of the cops and soldiers (who are not exactly being paid top dollar and may actually agree that the government has become totalitarian, violated the constitution, and must be stopped) join up its still not enough to stop an army of a million people who are already inside the country and are flooding into the New York FED and DC.
there is no way to stop such a blitzkrieg except by committing suicide and nuking New York.
What makes you think those 1 million will actually make it to the NY FED or DC?

most of them probably already live nearby, 1 million armed people is alot of firepower.
especially if alot of local non federal police joins up and starts helping to clear the roads.

Ok then what/who will you be shooting at?

I'm ready, Satoshi!

even if none of them join the drones won't stop a mass of a million people, how many drones do you think they have.
once the central bank is under control and the pay checks to the army stop arriving its game over.

That depends on who you think they are. http://www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/2012/aug/03/drone-stocks-by-country#
According to this the US has 678, and the Air National Guard 42 MQ-1B Predator and 14 MQ-9 Reaper. And that was over two years ago.
THEY also have not only drones but tanks, ships, u-boots and a bunch of riot cops/soldiers who will tear gas you not because they are payed to do so but because you are the "traitor".
629  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: October 16, 2014, 01:44:46 PM
if only a million people out of 300 million managed to organize and march on DC the national guard would run away.
we could throw all the traitors there in a cage, abolish the income tax and the fed.
Bullshit.

Don't bring a gun to a drone fight.

the people who fly and maintain those drones are them same people the government robs with forced taxes, i wouldn't be so sure that the drones will be on the government side.

What are you bubbling about? The US National Guard and US Military and the Police are payed entirely with tax dollars, and the Military Industrial Complex is the most politically influential group on the planet. For them "taxes" is more akin to "Customer Relations".

im sure that if i told the guy who maintains the drone that should he forget to tighten those screws he will never have to pay taxes to any government thugs again he won't mind.
he can always get a job at a civilian company.

So how many percent of those do you think have to join your putsch for it to have a 50% chance of success? I'll assume it has to be much higher than in the general population, right?

Normally I do, but my statist shilling checks have been less than stellar lately.
633  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking on: October 15, 2014, 12:05:43 PM
Ah, so you want to spend Bitcoin like money, but you don't care if anyone takes it as money.
Anarchist logic at its finest!

The few places that I need to spend money already take it. I can use localbitcoins for the rest.

Ic.  Well, enjoy your Bitcoin paradise then, glad you're content Smiley

Thanks. Enjoy your statist paradise.

You don't seem to really "get" statism, right? It's about a concious compromise around the establishment of rules, which is by definition no paradise.

Doing noise trading with waves.

It's the most ruthless and heavily armed smartest people winning
What's your reason for being involved in bitcoin?
How old are you? Have you ever been in a war zone?
Did the government ever saved you from dying in a war zone?
Did you know it's almost always governments who decide to go to war?

Don't bring a gun to a drone fight.
636  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearwhale - sold coins to himself? on: October 14, 2014, 08:28:01 PM
Not if the Bearwhale was really Bitstamp selling fake coins, then it has just begun.

Not fake coins but I'm afraid Gox coins.

I'm not sure what's worse.
637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearwhale - sold coins to himself? on: October 14, 2014, 08:13:55 PM
Lol if you think I'm using leveraged trading. ( I could, oh well anybody wanna see if btce outlives bitstamp?)

As far as implications for the price go, we are going up yeah hasn't much to do with bitstamps possible fraud though.
638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearwhale - sold coins to himself? on: October 14, 2014, 07:59:35 PM
Whatever the real story behind the order, it is the past and history.  How high can we go before it comes down again is the question.

Not if the Bearwhale was really Bitstamp selling fake coins, then it has just begun.
