TECSHARE you are so defensive about WoodCollector one really has to wonder what is going on here.

Scams involving bitcoin just talk to it's excellent ability as a means of storing and transferring value.
Just like science making nuclear bombs doesn't make science "evil" it makes it effective.
You know what's cool? Speaking of the scientific method, I heard a podcast featuring that guy who's always ragging on bitcoin, Tim Swanson, very intelligent guy, great arguments. But I think that sometimes people get so caught up in something that they can't get a proper perspective. I'm the same way, as are most bitcoin enthusiasts. It's important to listen to the negative arguments. Bitcoin is not perfect, it might still fail and fall on its face. It would be an abnormality of innovation of it didn't, actually. I think we have to take a measured approach and stop trying to "sell" bitcoin to the masses. It's not only counter-productive, it's irresponsible. Don't be mad, I'm sure your next shilling check will be better, who are you with? JPM?

Then the media found out Coinbase was faking it, and the coverage turned negative. SFgate: "Bitcoin exchange claims it is 'regulated,’ but not in California"Time Magazine issued a correction. The Wall Street Journal updated their article. Tomorrow's coverage will probably be more negative. Claiming you're regulated when you're not yields very bad publicity. Just because they have some VC money apparently doesn't mean they have a clue. That isn't the point, they already have what they wanted, the VC money...

There you have it! ORIGINAL HAND CARVED WORK BY SMOOTHIE!
You should auction it, I'm sure it will do at least as good as the fuck you nubbins piece, if they aren't a complementary set for the serious trolling art collector. Literally within 15 min of me posting Kialara made me an offer that I accepted. It is sold already. That was pretty fast, not that I intended for it to sell. *fg* It be almost worth it offering some money to woodcollector if he finishes and records it, not that it's worth watching the 8 hours of drum sander action but just seeing it's there would be equally gratifying.

lol they are so quiet all of the sudden.

What does the winner of the argument get once it is settled?
I'll come back to play if it's an original BFL foam torch and pitchfork set.

TECSHARE, you are missing the point. This isn't about whenever something can or can't be done using manual tools vs. cnc, it's about whenever WoodCollector really is a master wood carver and the things he sells are in fact his masterpieces.

On the basis of his sockpuppets WoodCollector seems to know a little bit about working with wood. Which makes his scam all the lot worse, if he knows how much work it is to make something using manual labor, him selling cnc machined stuff requires a certain mindset.
oh well. I'll sit back and grab some popcorn.

So where is his pivot hole? I can't see one.
But that's besides the point, all indications are the "fuck you nubbins" piece was done using a cnc router. The letters are flawless, along with the middle finger, and using a palm router you aren't gonna do that. Besides it makes no sense to do this kind of work by hand if you have access to cnc equipment, (which has been pretty much established at this point). What remains is what it appears to be some guy exploiting his fablab membership to sell make believe handicraft works.
Pivot hole? Are you really that inept? There are about a dozen ways to do the same thing when you cannot leave a hole behind. My personal favorite is by gluing a pin to the center with some wood glue. Takes about 4 hours to dry, and once the circles are done, you can knock it off with a hammer, and 5 seconds with a power sander will remove the glue marks. You guys are seriously pathetic and way far out on a very shaky limb with all this shit. The letters are flawless? No shit Sherlock, how hard is it to trace over a line? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNcojZRQK7wTakes me 10 seconds on youtube to make you look like an idiot. How much more time to do you want to invest on sealing your fate? It is better to be thought an idiot and remain silent than to open your mouth and remove all doubts. You and your MOB are going down in a ball of smoke and flames, might want to think about your actions for a minute before its too late and you lose all credibility you ever had in this place. Wait there is more: The Finger has lines in it which get thinner towards the ends. It's easy to accomplish that with a cnc router if the depth of the toolhead becomes more shallow towards the end of the line. Using a hand router you are milling at constant depth. I don't know much about wood handiworks but enough about cnc machining to recognize the products.

The initial design itself was applied with a HAND GUIDED router.
Goodness gracious. Next you are telling me he traced those outer circles with micron level precision. 100% he did, I WAS A PROFESSIONAL CARPENTER and cabinet maker AND AM WILLING TO BACK THAT STATEMENT UP. Its how i put myself through college. This is what you get when a bunch of basement dwelling nerds who have never touched a power tool in their life decide they are experts on wood workingWant to see how he did it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOEu77gavYkNow shut up and stop proving everyone's point that you are all just on a never ending witch hunt with no basis for any of your claims. So where is his pivot hole? I can't see one. But that's besides the point, all indications are the "fuck you nubbins" piece was done using a cnc router. This work can only be explained with this.. And a laser cnc device,...... True that. A router (cnc or otherwise) wouldn't be able to mill at the same depth at the beveled edges. A laser on the other hand continues onwards if there is air in-between the workpiece and the lens.

It's possible based on EW that 150 was either the end of wave A or 4. So don't be so sure about that bear trend. It's entirely possible that we are at the verge of a new bull market. I wouldn't bet on it, but just saying.

Good show, looks like he's on the way of doing actual woodcarving for the first time, not that he's any talented. But that hasn't stopped anyone having a dream! I'm sure the "fuck you nubbins" masterpiece will fetch a decent price at the next art fair. Please continue the good work, I can't wait for what's next, perhaps he'll take a course. On a serious note, perhaps we should DOX this fucker and tell the people at his fablab what he's upto, as a non-profit I'm sure they don't mind being associated with this, right?

Realistically it can go to zero if it becomes impossible to do transactions. And that becomes plausible if mining difficulty can not adjust after an avalanche effect of miner dropout. It has been demonstrated with Namecoin.

if they do not fuck it up it is quite big news.
one of the most legimate critiques on bitcoin is the bottleneck problem, e.g. the point where the system interoperates with the fiat world.
this was up to this point valid, because you had to trust exchanges, which were run at best in a grey area of jurisdiction. these exchanges were almost solely responsible for the external price determination of bitcoin.
if they manage to reduce this problem they really strengthen the ecosystem of bitcoin.
Dead on man. Especially being a well funded New York exchange. Let's hope they have lock down security. Security through absurdity?

My guess is 75 million divided by their daily volume in days plus two weeks™. But what do I care, I'll hope it's unexpected and comes when nobody could have predicted it. (As usual )
