Selling a Nokia Lumia 650, new in box.  Has been turned on and promptly put back in packaging.

This device is not unlocked out of the box.  I will include a code to use once you put your SIM card in.  This will work on AT&T, T-mobile, and other carriers that use their networks.

Any and all reasonable offers will be considered.

35  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining rigs rental is that profitable? on: September 21, 2016, 02:15:49 AM
Problem is South Florida winters are hot as well. Imaging December and being at the beach in flip flops and shorts.  I need to move to a folder area to mine with a lot of power.

you can put them underground if you have the possibility, or do some refrigerator stuff, in the room where you hold the miners

and anyway how do you mine in summer, if in winter is already hot?

The cost of setting up proper cooling in a mining room would probably be more expensive than the miners themselves.  Not to mention that the power requirements could easily lead to needing electrical work done, or simply not being able to get the capacity to a residential house.

Seems like running a single miner with upgraded fans would be the only real option if the heat is that bad and just give up on a full mining operation.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: September 21, 2016, 02:05:50 AM
I would say it is one of the  safest payment methods  that exist, if you ask me... That's why btc is where  it is today, for the capacity  to provide for the users more  security and an efficient way  to make transactions.
It can be the safest or one of the least sage, depending on the person.  A newbie that has no idea how to verify messages or spot phushers could easily be convinced to send their coins to the wrong person.   Not to mention that if you manage to lose your private key, all of your coins are gone.   If you aren't smart enough to back up your wallet, all it takes is a single HAD failure to take your money.

Likewise, you need to be able to trust your merchant since the payment isn't able to be reversed, unlike most others.

It is safe in the sense that you control your money, but it is also unsafe for the exact same reason.
37  Economy / Lending / Re: new features on loan on: September 21, 2016, 02:01:41 AM
Identity verification can provide a false sense of security to lenders, making them give out more than they should given the lendee's reputation.  A identity the if could easily cash out on somebody with credit cards and bank accounts, then double up by using the person's information to get a loan.

The only time this would come in handy is verifying the identity of a already trusted person, which is better done with signed messages anyway.  Besides that, collateral is the gold standard.
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: why should anyone invest in btc right now? on: September 21, 2016, 01:58:51 AM
It's a speculative currency that can introduce you to technology you never knew existed, teach you about cryptography/computer security,  and economics.  Personally I wouldn't invest a huge amount, but the enjoyment and learning opportunities that come from it are enough to make it well worth having a little bit.
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price will be fail to bottom line ? on: September 21, 2016, 01:57:07 AM
I used to think back in the 1k range that if we ever went below 500 it would be game over, but we have touched the mid 200'September and bounced back fine... BTC seems to be insanely resilient.  Unless there is something that goes down and drives the price crazy low, I don't see us going lower than we have since the bubble.

Should we go sub-200, we may end up crashing out for good or starting back from the beginning..
40  Other / Meta / Re: Improvements Needed to Bitcoin Forum Ranking System on: September 20, 2016, 11:54:23 PM
It's not about your experience in the crypto world,  but that on the forum.   I think the system should allow for faster leveling,  but shouldn't be basex on how long you have mined or something like that.

If it was, you could get a bunch of cheap miners and user them to farm accounts.   At least the way it is now requires work to level.
