I think there is a bitcoin daemon configuration flag that enables to "trust" pre-existing blocks... Not sure though...
Not sure why you'd need to use it, syncing is much faster now and verifying transactions doesn't take that much CPU power. |

I think that even with good intentions, there will always be someone complaining about a decision that forum administration makes. Right now we don't ban scammers for fear of an incorrect judgement, why change the way threads work? Plus 1BTC is still a *lot* of money, and I doubt they want more complaining about how 'the forum is rich make it more better' or 'halp badbear stole my btc and i have no ico thread'. It will just make people more upset in the end, it is up to the end user to judge if an ICO is a scam or not.

I think the stigma against having an Alt is because they are often used to either bypass a Trust Restriction (IE your main is red, so you make another to get around that) or to farm Signature Campaigns. Otherwise I don't see the purpose of having an alt in the first place

I like this theme because it is simple, doesn't take forever + a ton of JS to load, and isn't filled with useless white-space. As long as the new forum is like this, I have no problem with however it is designed. (Although I would like a Dark theme  ) |

Your grammar an spelling skills have nothing to do with your rank, except for potential staff positions. To rank, all you need to do is post enough that your activity increases. There are lots of foreign language boards here too, and as you may imagine they don't have the best English. Of course, I much *prefer* when people have a decent grasp of the language, but it isn't a requirement to be a part of the community. |

You can send request to Bitcointalk admin theymos to change your username. But you aren't Donator, so it's not likely that he will change your username.
And why do you want to change your name? And you are only Newbie, I think it's not problem to create new account with username that you want.
Back in 2010-2011, a user can freely change his/her username whenever he/she wants to, but this was changed in 2012 to allow only Donators and Staff/Admin to use. You can request to change your username, however I don't think theymos still grants this request up to this day. Sorry master, I just found out there are rules like that in the year 2010-2011 and approximately what now there is another requirement to change the name of our account? Please help me  Assuming you already saw the messages on how to change an email, just PM theymos and him to rename your account. He may do it, he may not. |

Question about F2A. What happens if I lose my phone. I couldn't get back into exchange because the F2A was from a different phone. Does the Goolge one get link with my email.
Can a 3rd party entity find out my email from my F2A?
It depends on how the service treats it. Some completely lock the account, while others let you back in if you can somehow prove your identity. |

The moderation of this forum is more laissez-faire, even now people complain about moderators over stepping bounds or making a ruling they don't agree with, and trying to determine scammers would just add even more stress to the system. My advice is to be *very* cautious with newbie accounts, and look at past posts and trust feedback.
Right now we have the 'Beginners Zone' restriction, and a two week restriction would bar the normal people and the scammers would just make a bunch of new accounts and cycle through when one gets banned.

It usually takes a few hours for the rank to refresh, so don't be afraid if you meet the requirements and it doesn't change right away.

Host them yourself, and you can see how many views your post gets.  Not sure that works, the forum uses an image proxy so it caches your image. You won't get a reliable number for views, geographical data, etc. |
