There are no more avatars, you can ask Theymos to remove it, but not change or add it. I can't see your avatar, so I assume he just removed it.

There is a BitcoinTalk app? I agree it should be removed, I never like it on any other forum I go on.
EDIT: Found the app, there is a way to disable it from the settings. Preferences -> Thread Options -> Uncheck 'Advertise Application'

2) Wouldn't properly set security permissions require user assent for any downloads?
1. I think it did show up, but he needed to do further digging to find what it did, what it ran, etc. 2. No, as long as it doesn't need Administrative Access, it can do what it wants without a dialog. For most computers, downloading a file doesn't require UAC, so it can do it mostly undetected. |

Just wondered the same thing after finding this thread recently the default theme is ugly and I hate the design of it and would love a new theme. If you know CSS you can create your own, there is a feature to add your own CSS in the settings. |
