21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Girl Survived with 0.21 Bitcoins for 21 Days, how do you think of it? on: September 15, 2018, 03:40:33 PM
A Chinese girl named He Youbing made a Challenge show that she survived in a strange city for 21 days only with 0.21BTC to pay for all she needed including hospitality. It was extremely difficult in the first three days that she had to stay in McDonald's and ate leftover burgers. Hypoglycemia even brought her to hospital. Fortunately, the audience of the show put forth ideas for helping her out like reselling products she needed in exchange for her Bitcoins. And she finally lived through the 21 days. Because hotels didn't accept bitcoin, she had to bring a portable tent. Anyway, she made it. It was the first time when humanity lived in the society with Bitcoin. How do you think of it? Isn't a remarkable event?

This is really awesome. We are really experiencing the potential of Bitcoin use. As of now it is very difficult to survive with Bitcoin for entire life style like from hospitality to food etc., But she did a great job and she is able to survive 21 days with 0.21 BTC.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Epic Journey of BTC on: September 15, 2018, 03:36:54 PM
To The Moon and back to the ground:2017.9~2018.9
What do you think?

The bull phase will be coming in October after VenEk ETF approval. And recently Novogratz mentioned that crypto market reached its bottom. Most of the speculators might gone from this market. And the people who believes in technology only holding their crypto in their pockets. Let's see what will happen
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much electricity does bitcoin need? on: September 15, 2018, 03:33:16 PM
Who owns the reliable information that the network bitcoin uses more than 80% of the countries separately electricity. Bitcoin also multiplied by several times the amount of energy consumed in the last year. Is this really true, who will say? So there are thoughts that bitcoin in a couple of years will be a threat to the energy situation on the planet?

Recently I heard that Gold mining is needed 25x more power than Bitcoin Mining. Most of the people are saying Bitcoin is consuming alot power for no underlying asset. But no body understands the potential of Bitcoin Scarcity and other unique features like universal currency and not controlled by any one or one single entity.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market Goes Down and Down on: September 08, 2018, 02:24:43 PM
It's a Very Struggling time for Cryptocurrencies. The Market Goes down approx 10 to 15 Percent. Bitcoin Drop down $7k, On the other Hand, Ethereum goes down $400.

It is really very sad to see that ETH is not able to survive the blood. It is losing control day by day. But it will recover soon. We all need patience. Raiden network making good moves to make ETH more usable for daily usage. Then we will see the good price for ETH.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 is best year for cryptoholders on: September 08, 2018, 02:22:28 PM
I have invested in eventchain and power ledger. And hoping to invest in centra and wtc coins.. But i sell those in 2020..,

2020 good year for crypto holders? Most saying 2020 is the milestone for digital currencies

Tell the masters your comments

As of now what we are seeing is really the bottom of crypto. The people who believes in good projects can invest few of their savings to get fruitful results in few years. I think we will recover some in 2019 and then we will see the blood again and then we will see the new ATH in the crypto markets. Then everyone who believed will paid off.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies to Bitcoin can be dangerous! on: September 08, 2018, 02:19:08 PM
I have run into several Bitcoin "newbies" over the last couple of months, that are spreading the wrong information on forums and/or in person. Their intentions is good, but the results is bad, because they did not do proper research.

Some of these people are selling themselves as experts, because they have been in the scene for a few months. I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.

I think you should rather admit it, when you do not know something about the technology, than selling your little knowledge as facts. I will regularly tell people that I am not clued up with every aspect of this technology, but I always try to do proper research, when I encounter something that I am not 100% clued up on.

~ Ask, if you not sure.
~ Do not lie, if you are unsure.
~ Do proper research, before you educate other people.
~ Accept that you will not know it all.
~ Fact check what you already know.
~ Do not argue, if you not sure about your facts.

Let's agree that we all learn something new about this great technology almost every day, so only a small amount of us are experts.  Wink

This is really true. I myself trying to learn alot about crypto space since starting of 2016 and still I believe that what I know is very little compared to others. This technology has endless innovations and possibilities to discover for some good causes. But newbies don't understand this at all. They always try to criticize when they make losses and pump the news when Crypto token value increases.

Newbies need to learn the real value and use of cryptocurrencies in our economy. Then only we can see the real adoption of cryptocurrencies in the world.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone here got into crypto before 2017? How was it before the hype? on: September 08, 2018, 02:13:26 PM
I spoke with few friends recently about the hype that the crypto market received at the end of 2017.
I wonder how was it before 2017.
Was the market easy to manipulate?
pump and dumps were more common?
Were people more into ICO's? the ICO image was better than it is today?

I entered into crypto during starting months of 2017. So I learned so much from crypto space and I started investing little bit of my savings to appreciate capital gains. And at that time every investment idea worked because every crypto token is available in cheap rates. And then after Bitcoin Futures came into the picture Euphoria started from people around the world. And everyone started catching FOMO. And we saw the ATH for every crypto token. Then we are now seeing the blood from the market heavily and most of them lost their investment who invested in Euphoria phase. But the people who invested in 2017 starting or before are may be holding because a still they are in profits compared to the prices at that time. And of course they are long term believers.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just got a little extra money and want to invest in crypto, should I? on: September 08, 2018, 02:08:06 PM
Hi I just got some extra money and I'm looking to invest, I want to invest in BTC but the price is too high for me,  what do you think will be the next BTC
one you can buy low and make a good profit when it burst?

First you should understand the technology and consequences arises due to market manipulation.  That means even though you believe in something in fundamental level but market will try to manipulate your mind to liquidate your position to cover the losses. But that need to be avoided. So be careful before investing in crypto.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM launches blockchain based payments, the next disruptor in institutional bank on: September 08, 2018, 02:04:40 PM
This is the good move made by IBM but still what people don't understand is centralization. Our entire money is in the control of centralized banks. To make it strong IBM is supporting further.

To escape from this we need to adopt Decentralised currency which is not controlled by anyone. Like Bitcoin and ETH.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People call bitcoin a fraud or ponzi scheme on: September 08, 2018, 01:59:25 PM
Anyone can call it ponzi scheme and fraud but if you think of it, everything worldly is fraud. You buy apple products with thousands of dollars but how much are they really worth? Why would people give out thousands of dollars for a macbook when they can buy a laptop for $300? Is it really worth that much or is it just another ponzi scheme that apple is bringing to the world better gadgets than any other brands? So we're talking about bitcoin now. What are we really paying for when we buy bitcoin? We pay for an online program and the people running the program helping transactions go through, or we call mining. Miners put in so much time and most especially the cost of mining is so much. That is merely the reason why bitcoin will cost much and if incase it will dive too low and will not be enough to pay for miners, then that could be the time bitcoin will die, or not.

People always call fraud or Ponzi that they don't believe in or understand the underlying technology. As of now crypto market consists of more speculators that believers in innovative Blockchain technology.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to have bitcoin shortage? on: September 08, 2018, 01:49:09 PM
I do not think that bitcoin will be enough if the whole people around the world will going to buy bitcoins. There will be too much shortage on bitcoin supply and this will lead also to have an expensive market price for bitcoin. As we all know that there are billions of people around the world and bitcoin supply is only limited. So meaning to say in the near future there will be a shortage for bitcoin supply and thus will lead to create another dominant coin like having ether as one of the possibilities that it will be the next to bitcoin. As of this moment i am seeing this already closely to happen. What do you think?

If the Bitcoin is adopted all over the world then we will start using satoshi instead of Bitcoin. 1 Bitcoin can be sub divided into 10 million times. So it will be sufficient for everyone for daily usage.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I LOVE PANIC SELLERS on: September 08, 2018, 01:34:52 PM
People go here and there spooling, spreading and propagating FUD to get on peoples emotions and to put them on PANIC MODE just so they sell their BTC, and you know what, PANIC SELLERS in these industry are LAZY, they can't and won't research and understand after lots of rise and fall in these year that the KING of all digital currencies is just going through a phase.

I personally Love PANIC SELLERS, and I hope there can be a section on these platform where they register so that people like me can contact them to buy CHEAP from they..

GRACIAS PANIC SELLERS, MUCH LOVE TO ALL OF YOU OUT THERE BLESSING FUTURE MILLIONAIRES WITH YOUR COIN

I think you are bag holder from the dip. This is the best time to pick some good tokens from the market where anyone believes crypto survive in the long term.

Let the panic sellers unload their crypto. This crypto market need strong Hodlers who believes in technology instead of speculators.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: September 30, 2018 - SEC ETF Ruling on: September 08, 2018, 01:31:22 PM
Bitcoin seems to be rallying this month due to the high hopes associated with the SEC possibly agreeing with the pending ETFs.

I think I should be quite positive about VanEck-SolidX this time.

Do we send postcards to the SEC this month? Will it make any difference?

Recently I saw the update from leading crypto trader from YouTube and in that channel he rightly mentioned the bull run for bitcoin will start from mid October based time bound analysis. I think the bull run will start once VenEck ETF approves.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who sells BTC now? on: September 08, 2018, 01:29:09 PM
I have seen many threads talking about should I sell now or wait till BTC moons. When I see these threads I marvel and move on to check on different topics or threads because I know the person doesn't know what he is talking about. Diving more into cryptocurrencies, when you sell now it means you are a coward and don't even know the kind of cryptocurrency you are dealing with. One thing is that, its really kinda pity to see those topics raised. I have set a goal and until that goal is not, I will never sell BTC and that's me.I want ask that is it because those selling the coin are newbies and are afraid of loosing some small $s or they haven't read much about bitcoin or the cryptocurrencies or they have low knowledge about the blockchain technology?

The people who don't believe in Bitcoin long term success might sold their holding because of the current speculation. Right now wrong news spread across media saying that Goldman Sachs stopped planned to open Bitcoin trading desk.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOGLE BANS BITCOIN MINING APPS.ON PLAY STORE on: September 08, 2018, 01:19:44 PM
Googl has always not been friendly of cryptocurrencies in general, latest update is this: Google has placed a ban on mining apps hosted on google play store https://news.bitcoin.com/google-bans-cryptocurrency-mining-apps-from-play-store/?utm_source=Google%20Bans%20Cryptocurrency%20Mining&utm_medium=telegram&utm_campaign=Telegram%20Channel

I heard this news recently in Cointelegraph news channel but at the same time I also heard that still some of the apps are rolling out in Google play store.

The apps which are in play store are waste of time and those apps don't add any value addition for your time and efforts. But the app owners will earn money from the in app advertisements.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you did not listen before, now is last chance to reduce your loss on: September 01, 2018, 01:41:16 PM
I told you so - many times in here. It was a bubble, and you should get the hell out of BTC.

The responses in here were mainly hysteric screaming of "FUD".

It is now clear from more and more posts in here that people who came late to the bubble-party are in losses on their Bitcoins. Well, told you so.

This is not the time to HODL. The party is over. Your choice is whether to sell now and take a loss, or wait until you have lost everything.

The people who are thinking in long term holding and expecting success of Bitcoin then hold your Bitcoin irrespective of price dumps and FUD. Everything will be settled down after hearing some positive and negative news in between. This will not change the long term success of Bitcoin. So be patient.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early BTC adopters still hodling? on: September 01, 2018, 01:37:23 PM
Just have a few questions for those who bought/mined BTC early in the days when things weren't this crowded.

1. How long did it take for a transaction to be confirmed?

2. What were the other issues experienced apart from Hardware complications and energy requirements?

I think most of the early adopters are holding their Bitcoin. For example Tim Draper and Charlie sheen and many others. They believe in long term success of Bitcoin irrespective of short term hurdles and price dumps.

But I heard that Silk road who is holding more than 1 million Bitcoin moving in small parts.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a threat to USD and Pound Sterling? on: September 01, 2018, 01:26:30 PM
Hello guys,

Do you think bitcoin will be a threat to USD and Pound Sterling in the nearest future?

if yes, give an estimated time this can happen.

As of now there is no threat to fiat currencies like US dollar and Euros which is recently announced in the report issued by IMF. But in future cryptocurrency can replace the fiat currencies which are controlled by the centralized authorities like Governments.
39  Other / Off-topic / Re: Soon we would not need banks on: September 01, 2018, 01:23:58 PM
The Ceo of Bitcoin cash recently stated that soon people wouldn't be needing banks anymore.Does it mean the world is going crypto soon or he is just bluffing.

We are having so much Innovation in fintech through startup projects. These will ultimately point out and replace the Banks negligence and irresponsibility and avoid the huge charges for transfers between countries.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Fiat on: September 01, 2018, 01:21:19 PM
Although Bitcoin exists for almost 10 years, its role in our life is still unclear. One of the theories states that Bitcoin was created to solve the problems which fiat money cannot overcome. We can see how so many Governments have huge debts and how some countries cannot support their own currency (Venezuela might be the best example now), so Bitcoin looks like a possible option nowadays. Getting rich was never the goal for Bitcoin. It was meant to become the currency of the digital world and provide an alternative to the dying economy.

So the question is, how do you think, should Bitcoin replace Fiat money, or there are other options of how it could be useful to the society?

Edit: To give you more food for thought, there is a nice article about the history of the creation of both Fiat and Bitcoin and their detailed comparison.

There is more chances for replacing fiat with Bitcoin. Right now most of the countries are already developing their centralized digital currency to benefit from Blockchain but they will fail after implementation. And then real Bitcoin adoption will start by reserving them with every countries reserves.

In this way Bitcoin will replace fiat.
