201  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: July 10, 2020, 02:03:00 PM
~
Any thoughts about this?
I don't really see the essence of taxing na may reason daw na "para sa pandemic" while the government already had trillions of donations from other companies and countries just for the support of the pandemic alone.

Dunno, it may sound absurd but I don't think na bad naman siya. Let's do the math here since businesses who don't exceed an income of 250,000 PHP annually aren't included naman. So if we would divide 250k to 12 (250,000 ÷ 12)(12 as a number of months a year). Result is around 20k something. 20k is a big income na per month for typical filipino employees IMO. Considering na ang minimum wage natin na ay 537.00 PHP, and then 'yong kumikita ng equal to 538.00 PHP (na kung iko-compute natin 'yong average sahod nila per month lumalabas na 16k) or above from it ay included na sa mga tax payers (Correct me if I'm wrong). So what's their difference para 'di magbayad Huh After all, for the greater good rin naman 'yon. Basta h'wag lang makurakot nung mga na sa upuan then I think it is fine. 'Cause 'yon lang rin naman lagi problema satin corruption kaya 'di naunlad 'yong bansa natin not to mention 'yong patong-patong pa natin na utang  Undecided.

One more thing, I think medyo nakaka-disappoint lang for now kasi may nakasanayan na tayo and medyo new lang 'tong concern nila. Pero imagine being an employee who earns quite above from the minimum wage tas automatic deducted na sahod because of tax then sila who earns bigger than you are free from it, hehe. Not trying to compare the two (employee sa certain company and entrepreneur) but for the sake of being fair in terms of avg income, I think it is not bad at all  Smiley.
202  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: July 09, 2020, 06:04:22 PM
Good Job talaga OP, right timing talaga yung pag share mo ng knowledge as in meron tayong nailigtas na tao ng dahil dito.

Damn, mabuti na lang sa taong may alam (which is you) 'yong kaibigan mo pumunta. Kaya never naging masama ang magtanong sa mga bagay na clueless ka or medyo malabo sa 'yo even if it would make you look stupid. One should always know a good deal, and not be comforted with a lie sabi nga nila.

By the way, did you guys report it na ba?

Kokonti pa lang siguro mga nagke-came across sa Bitflex, so it might indicate a good thing. Either way, it is good to have this here kaysa wala  Wink.

Email at epd@sec.gov.ph o call (02) 818-6337 / (02) 818-6047

Done! I already send na an appropriate report. I am just wondering how would SEC take an action to this matter? Would they take down the site?
204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin for a few...! on: July 08, 2020, 12:42:53 PM
Bitcoin has been around for a decade plus now. Research tells me it started in 2009 making it 11years old now and yet, it still feels like a thing for only a distinguished few.
Why is that?
Everyone seems to be familiar with the term Bitcoin but most more than majority gets the idea of what it is really about. I guess that's the clarity this forum offers.
Is Bitcoin really a thing for a few?

No, it is just that not everyone has the interest into this industry. I'd say technicalities isn't their thing neither doesn't pique their interest. 'Cause you know even creating your own wallet is a bit of a complex thing, that, one must understand necessary stuff that must be dealt with. On the other hand, commerce is not everybody's cup of tea. Maybe people were already satisfied livin' in a paycheck to paycheck or maybe others are that rich enough to bother themselves with risky things like this that requires utmost patience.

Why is it that so many are just aware of the term and yet still know almost nothing about it?
Do you think this has any effect on Bitcoins development?

I bet these people who knew the term had heard 'bout it in some scam, fraudulent activities going around the internet. And it made them be afraid about getting with it or perhaps practice avoiding being involve with any kind of ventures it has  Undecided.

Yes, how come one can think that this can push through with pandemic? They had been taking the virus lightly where it has taken lives especially to the vulnerable individuals. Life is valuable compared to any game in life.

I agree, however if they can comply to all the necessary procedures before going into idea of resuming the game. Then perhaps, it would be a good to go, I think? Not sayin' that they should deliberately continue the league neither not feared the virus itself but if they can do what the NBA league does then I think they are going to be fine. Have some sort of necessary test, quarantine, and whatnot. After all, staffs or employees who usually not seen on the camera needs the jobs to open again.

It had to to proceed with safety first not compromising the regulations and the health of others. One that think it can be push through is really a hardcore fan of basketball specifically the PBA.

So, we had to wait first the possible cure to this virus before anything else.

They somehow need to keep going, at least, bud  Wink.
206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you value to add value to Human knowledge or your value is to earn merits? on: July 07, 2020, 03:53:55 PM
There is a saying: ask a question and risk to be once seen as being stupid or never ask it and remain stupid the entire life.

I love this saying, thanks a lot, man   Wink.

Going back to OP. I'd rather say, don't think about getting merit as your metric on making a progress. It would not be effective in the long term basis. Instead, value learning over some recognition as it would keep you going, simply because you want learn. Yeah, getting merit feels great however it would be a bothersome once you never get even a single one. You might even depreciate contributing substantial post/reply to some discussion because you value geting recognize which you didn't get last time.

And you already saw it, it is kind of fun to see discussions which feeds knowledge to one another, right? Not that merit isn't important at all but it would be much easier to contribute to a certain discussion without thinking if someone would look at you, and you expect would give you a reward. What I mean there's no sort of pressure  Smiley.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 07, 2020, 09:32:22 AM
Wow! LaMelo Ball goes to the warriors as the number 1 pick.

How is that?

I think it's a good help for the warriors to get back to the number 1 spot again, of course with both Curry and Thompson playing healthy.

Dunno if his gameplay gonna fit with the warriors. Well, fair enough better than being drafted to Phoenix Suns LOL  Cheesy. One more thing, we aren't even sure yet if he can play with the intensity the league has but I believe he can. But whatever, what's certain here is that, if he did land on warriors he'll be having a great coach that's it  Wink.

Anyway, I am excited to see him play in NBA, I've been a follower of him for quite some time I just hope he won't end up like his brother, Pat's going to bully him haha Cheesy.

The NBA turned Disney ballrooms into multiple practice courts
Jeez. The ceiling don't look high enough.

Are they gonna practice at the same time? coz It looks like to be that way...

Dunno but it's kind of disturbing to me Huh.

About their time, am pretty sure their practice time gonna meet across each other. But everyone going to practice at the exact same time? I don't think so. Maybe there will be gaps, and so on, but yeah, who knows?
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 06, 2020, 06:14:53 PM

The Philippine SEC warned those who were involved in crypto schemes could face a fine or 21 years of imprisonment or both."[/i]

is this also applied to those who trade crypto there?
if yes, this is very bad. then crypto will be completely illegal there.

No, not unless they are unauthorized to do so.

Worry not, crypto in Philippines is highly regulated. The government isn't seem to be totally opposite either. They came up into this since, such news -- forsage, and the likes of it is really prevalent in social media specially in facebook. Considering Filipinos ranks number 1 on using social media, before, not sure about now.

-
This kind of news might cause doubt for other people but if you are really interested in learning and investing in crypto, you will be willing to learn to avoid Ponzi schemes.

Perhaps it is. But apparently, it is good to cause some doubts rather than not. Now they'll have a new layer of security in terms of investing  Wink. So sometimes, second guessing is good specially with these cases.
209  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Biflex.net is a SCAM on: July 06, 2020, 04:28:19 PM
Bilis ng exposed haha. Nice check, man.

-

Typical scammer's thread. Oversize fonts, unnecessary font style then syempre ang 'di mawawalang advertising approach. On top of that, lahat sila newbie.

210  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't regret about your past mistake & Don't go against common sense. on: July 05, 2020, 03:57:56 PM
I read the thread, and I felt bad for him that he chooses to resort into dirty acts. He's so obsessed on getting his money assuming his narrate was a real one  Undecided.

Well, anyway, common sense is really a big thing here in this industry or must I say -- a necessary requirement one must always bring with. Regretting indeed won't do you any good once you already send your assets to a scammer, and that's a fact. Better yet get yourself up, collect your thoughts, get going and use your common as always and as much as how you care not spending your money in unnecessary stuff. One more thing being a newbie isn't an excuse for someone who's cautious on biting scammer's trap, and it doesn't exclude you for not knowing or for not utilizing your common sense effectively IMO. Besides reading about their thing; frauds, and how to avoid or spot one were always been there. Searching isn't something uncommon, after all  Tongue.

Great story btw. The bird's witty, poor man  Grin.
211  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: July 05, 2020, 12:17:21 PM

Sa pagkakaalala ko mass testing is supposedly for PUIs and PUMs which means 'yong mass testing isn't meant for everybody, right? Well, anyway yeah it would have a significant sa numbers we have right now. Pero good thing 'yon para at least we aren't blind sa statistics natin ngayon. Good thing, 'yong ibang LGU did their part sa city under their governance. Valenzuela ata 'yong pinakaunang nag-proceed ng mass testing, right? Not sure if may nagfollow up pa na other city sa kanila. Haven't heard of any eh  Cheesy.

One more thing, problem now is, the government is prioritizing unnecessary stuff na nase-set aside na 'yong issue na should be deal with in the first place. Nakapangangamba pa kasi Anti Terrorism Bill has been now signed by the President, so it is a law na damn. One way thing to silenced the community para mag-voice out sa mga shortcomings nila.

212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 05, 2020, 07:10:19 AM
I'm not aware about this, is this like a preseason before the NBA opens up their regular season?
Scrimmages are like friendly games, serve as practice. So yeah, it is somewhat similar to summer league that NBA has every year. While in summer league teams mostly use bench or G league players, in these scrimmage games teams will most likely use their main players, and each team will play 3 games.

I was going to say it but sir @Rikafip did it fast   Grin.

Well, it is like what he was said. It is used to take note individual's ability, and chemistry to one another. It is really necassary for now considering the long break they have. They need to rediscover, and get their touch with basketball not to mention some others wouldn't be able to play with the exact same players 'cause others have sit out, and others got some temporary exchange.

Why are you even concern on who handles the ball, we have Lebron James who handle the ball for the starters and we have Rondo as a reserve, with that format they have been successful so I don't think they will change that.

JR Smith is important as he is a good 3 point shooter but he needs to maintain consistency if he wants to help the team especially in crucial times.

I kinda don't like JR Smith being included first, as the exact scenario of what he did is still fresh in my head haha Tongue. However, upon seeing your response/reactions guys on his acceptance, I think he would still do better, and I think he won't make bad plays like what he did back then, so silly but everybody commits mistakes. And after all, there's no good players available for Avery's replacement except him.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: July 04, 2020, 04:05:19 PM
When cryptocurrencies come to your notice. The first thing anyone would tell you about is Bitcoin BTC which is the most popular and most known. Most altcoins are rollercoaster, most of them don't have good reputation. So, in my opinion people will greatly and forever favour Bitcoin over other altcoins when making different payments

Agreed, mostly.  It's very simple. Bitcoin was first, the market cap size is by far the largest, it has the most upside potential at the moment and so companies are more willing to accept it based on these factors.

Yeah, popularity plays a huge role here.

And even I myself prefer to accept BTC alone (among in different cryptocurrencies to exist) on my service irl. Because even though speed been always a problem it is mainly the thing I see majority of the individuals has to offer as well. Not sayin' I don't like altcoins at all but I don't like putting extra effort on converting all of it back to BTC again  Grin. Same thing I observe with my fellow men who accepts bitcoins as a payment. Was it a bad thing? No, I guess, and why would it be haha Huh

I am not fond of altcoins anymore like I used to be Cheesy.
214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The good the bad and the ugly -bounty weekly report spammers- on: July 04, 2020, 01:13:15 PM

Damn, I wish I had a bit of his dedication 'cause I am always slacking off -- not participating in stuff I somehow know  Undecided. Well, anyway, isn't it more exhausting to copy several links and report here and there than actually thinking substiantially of what to reply/post in certain discussion, eh? Great find btw  Cheesy. What a rare person he is.

Previously I'm one of the part of the bounty because I don't have a good rank before and I joined into two (2) bounty campaigns and I didn't receive any reward. We cannot deny it. Even there is a problem like this happen still we can see that there are some members like in the signature campaign who are giving their best to make a good quality post just to get paid and some of them are really learning into the world of altcoins. Still, the saddest part is even they are doing their best sometimes they don't get any rewards.

Yeah, might be sad. Rewards are mere recognition, of course, and is a bit of a problem considering the number of users this forum has. However, not receiving any rewards doesn't make you any less of a great person you could be as long as you keep doing your best, and it doesn't mean you have to perform less than you have before. I mean just do things (better if it ain't bounty report) you enjoy without expecting any reward so that if you don't receive anything it won't make you feel bad  Cheesy.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 04, 2020, 09:33:46 AM
I just hope he will be a real star when he gets drafted in the NBA, I don't want to see the same result like his brother who was selected as 2nd overall pick in 2017 but his NBA career with the LA Lakers was not really that impressive.

I also don't follow this kid, but for those who know more about Lonzo and LaMelo, who is better between the two?

IMO, LaMelo. I am not a fan of Lonzo. Too much mistakes even in his professional career.
He is improving though but unlike his brother LaMelo which is already good at his college game.
Also, I think Lonzo is pulled because of the surname.

I'll go with LaMelo too. Well, Lonzo is great back in his college days though his shooting form is kind of weird  Grin. But what made me choose his younger brother is the fact that LaMelo goes overseas, Lithuania specifically to play basketball, and such experience helps him grow to be a better player; he's not the type of kid who frequently shoots 3 whenever he want anymore. Not tryin' to exaggerate anything but that's what I observed up until his recent highlights from NBL. Plus LaMelo's basketball IQ is way better not to mention he still remains being a point guard despite his height  Grin. Well, maybe because he's used to that position Huh. I like this kid even back at his wrist tape wonders journey.

It's final. Oladipo will sit out for the remaining season.
https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1279139650012164096

Quote
“I really want to play, and as a competitor and teammate this is tearing me apart,” Oladipo said. “I feel like I’m at a great place in my rehab and getting closer and closer to 100 percent. With all the variables, from how I have to build my 5-on-5 workload back up, to the increased risk of a soft tissue injury which could delay my rehab, and the unknown exact set up of the bubble, I just can’t get my mind to being fully comfortable in playing. I have to be smart and this decision hasn’t been easy, but I truly believe continuing on the course I’m on and getting fully healthy for the 2020-21 season is the right decision for me.”
Source: https://theathletic.com/1908505/2020/07/03/victor-oladipo-explains-his-decision-to-sit-out-the-nba-restart-to-the-athletic/

Good decision, I guess. Pacers isn't in bad place nor in need for any player like him, either. Although playoffs is a different thing but he don't need to risk his body to play it yet. Seeing a fully recovered Oladipo is way better than seeing him play right now even though we badly missin' him to see play on basketball court once again  Cheesy.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some college students in Alabama bet money to see who gets COVID19 first on: July 04, 2020, 04:46:42 AM
This is right down disturbing. Damn, this isn't something a sane man would do  Cry.

Something needs to be checked. From the college students, and up to those people who could wander around while still being positive with the virus. And heck, why are they being allowed to go outside in the first place? This is the biggest problem with a liberated country.

I felt bad for the innocent people who would/might get in contact with these reckless guys. And while front liners are working eagerly to find a cure, and here these dumbhead guys thinking, betting on who would get the virus first is a fun thing  Undecided.
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Motivation on: July 03, 2020, 06:28:59 PM
Doing something doesn't necessarily mean you need motivation. Better do something ahead even if you don't feel doing it. Just read, and explore then ask questions later, it'll give you some progress already at hand rather than getting motivated first before achieving anything, it is just like as how the famous sayin' goes just do it, and it is quite hard in the beginning however, doing it repetitively would make things easier for you. And by just doing something, it would lead you into various thing you never thought possible before.

And yeah, you'll make mistakes in this side of industry first, well everyone does. Not to mention bitcoin is associated with risk  Grin. Hence mistakes here is not something uncommon.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 03, 2020, 02:25:51 PM
I don't understand how it became weird Cheesy.
It's weird and it will be difficult to sink in how it is going to happen.  Grin
If your concern is about exposing the team plays and preparation that's making you feel weird, IMO It doesn't bother the team that much If another team will be watching them practice on the court, pretty sure most of the coaches and players knew most of the offensive and defensive plays, but just dunno know when and how are they going to execute it. So, team discussions on how they are going to react offensively/defensively with the opposing team will be done privately, and physical practice on the court.
However, there might a be a few adjustments and limits on the practice.
It just kind of new to me  Grin. Or maybe because I haven't seen something similar with a set up like this. Dunno... am I that naïve?  Huh Haha.

Breaking down NBA Draft picks.
Yeah, it's something we must look unto since very soon their names will be seen in this thread.  Grin
LaMelo Ball still ranking at the top rank here.
I haven't seen the kid play the whole game but I did see some great highlights.
He is something else at his young age.
This young man is promising. Isn't that boy who scored 92 pts in a highschool game back then?

What I like about him is that he goes overseas to explore different experiences with basketball. I admired him for doing that. And maybe because of that, that gives him the edge on being on the top spot rignt now. Beside he got a good highlights, might not be as athletic as Zion and Ja but still he's good like from passing, and shooting from downtown.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yes, there is a strip club that accepts bitcoin. on: July 03, 2020, 06:41:01 AM
Im pretty curious why and how, I mean it would ruin the Economic stability so why does the Philippine government allows it ?
And how are they using it, does some other services offers payment through Bitcoin also ? because if they convert it to cash then that would actually be pretty bad for Bitcoin.

It ain't too big to ruined the whole economic stability of the Philippines  Tongue. Beside people who goes there rarely pays through bitcoin, I guess, as much as people into this side of industry here in Philippines are also rare.

One more thing, I would rather choose to pay in fiat considering the additional fee mentioned by OP. Dunno but it is kind of pain in the ass to pay big sum of btc just to have that kind of temporary fun, and yet uncertain if I'll be satisfied with the service. You know... I have to hold it for a while, and spend it with a better purpose  Grin.
220  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Scammers BTC addresses at iba pa on: July 03, 2020, 02:45:33 AM
I was wondering kung paano nila hina-handle 'yong mga report cases.

Just think about it, if you have a e-commerce website tapos yung known BTC address mo ay rineport ng mga competitor mo your known BTC address can be linked to a "scam" sa kanilang mga criteria. I know this website might be useful pero yung way nila kung paano nila i-handle or i-verify yung scam na nangyari dapat nilang baguhin ito at hindi lamang naka depende sa dami ng mag-rereport sa address na ito because it can be used by wrongdoers as well.

Exactly, man. I was thinking the same... kumbaga sa laro kahit maganda naman ginawa mo pero pag napagtripan ka ng group and then nag-mass report sila against sa'yo, the game itself would still punish you.

Pero what is the best way ba para i-handle 'yong ganitong case? Huh
