Privacy in the cryptocurrencies has a negative ring to it because of people are linking it to illegal activities (you have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide) .
However people are forgetting that who are investing to privacy. I mean every relevant business would pay huge sums for private conferences that no one can intercept. It's a huge market.
I agree, those who don't want information leaks by any means are willing to pay big money, so there will be big demand for project with this idea. That service is really valuable and if you manage to come up with a reliable program which would assure you safety, then you are bound to have a lot of costumers coming in. I can see Dusk as a new and reliable network which would be able to keep data private and safe. |

Its really hard to make it as a new exchange nowadays but Ternion has a different approach then most of other new exchanges. I can really see them getting high trade volume in the next few years. I hope they wont start listing every shitcoin and will let in the ones with potential future.

Some projects raised so much money, Filecoin for example, how much did it get? More then $200 M? Where is right now? They have nothing, their token is not even traded anywhere also
Well quite a lot of crypto projects are unfortunately a scam or at least they start as real thing and after devs realise, they are not professional enough to keep up with the demand, they run off with our money. I really hope those one will get prosecuted sooner or later. Laneaxis thou, is a company that is running for years now and i am sure they are a serious project which will give us a proper results in the years to come. |

Their roadmap ends in 2020, Imho by which time the main users will be ready for the transition to blockchain technology. You think? Now blockchain adoption goes rather slow. I think downturn of the market contributes a great deal to this fact. But crypto changes very fast, so we'll wait and see. |

I'm afraid it cannot be stop but the best reason to hold this token is the promising concept of this project and its with its active development, token holders would think twice before dumping it. Well, vesting period could prevent the dumping, but I doubt investors would go for it. Otherwise you're right, steady development is the most natural way. |

As far as I understand Laneaxis has a public and a private blockchain. The tracking of goods and verification thereof happens on their private chain while the public chain is used for financial transactions. Only supply chain participants can have access to that private data. Although I am not sure if that tracking data can leak to the public. Blockchain proved to be quite safe. If tracking will be on the private blockchain then I think we shouldn't worry about leaks. |

35k usd is not high as i thought, other big exchanges are collecting huge amounts of money to list some token/coins.
Actually, i am not sure about not high. Yes for established exchanges with high volume, 35k USD is not high. But ternion is just opening its exchange so i am not sure any coin want to give 35k $ for a listing on a new exchange. Do you guys maybe know listing fees of some other exchanges, for comparison? many people don't read the whitepaper because it's complicated, it's the thought of a beginner maybe, but to get into ico we have to read the whitepaper and the clarity of the team must be correct, to ensure a scam or not
I am not sure that i understood Ethereum when it was on ico stage, or when Monero started, i really didn't have a clue what i was doing mining it. And half of this goes beyond my understanding. But i didn't and will not blame the project for my lack of understanding. All i can say is that read the answers, and the medium posts. With every answer i learn a little bit more because they are written so well. Reading something twice helps too. And this is a research project, so of course it's complicated. But the depth of the answers in this thread is in whole new level and you can judge much by those. Whitepapers are aimed at a very wide range of people most of them don't have advanced technical knowledge, so it should be understandable if you ask me. At least basics, so everybody could understand what the project is about at its core. |

What lower tech equivalent to GPS tracking is used within the industry? I can only think of regular calls the drivers do to their headquarters to update their location.
Actually, that is an interesting example of high tech not automatically being better than low tech. There are good reasons not to make GPS tracking data public: privacy of the driver and safety of the goods. Imagine everyone being able to know exactly where and when a van with expensive goods is driving. And here we come back to the data safety again. For some industries it's crucial while transporting goods. |

I think they need only one good project on their platform to be a success. If a project gets good funding on their platform that will cause every science project to try to be there.

As far as i know, they are purely utility tokens and doesn't make you get any dividend at all. "laneaxis’ platform will create digital utility tokens and build its own blockchain platform for conducting transactions within the laneaxis ecosystem. this will enable transparency, efficiency, and accuracy of data exchanged on the platform, which is critical for the operations of the national supply chain." Dividends would create a lot of additional problems. I understand dividends are very attractive for investors, but I think it's not worth the trouble. |

October is already here, what's now with the pre-ICO stage 2? It still says on the website "TBD"...An update regarding the dates would be very good indeed. Maybe there will be some delays for the pre ico stage 2. It says September at the site but now we are already on the first week of October. It seems there is a delay yes and it wouldn't be a big problem. But they are not making any statement about is a problem for me. Yes, many projects have postponed their ICO which is quite understandable with the current market but an open and transparent communication about any delay is crucial in order to maintain trust of the community. They should at least announce it. It starts - you announce it, it gets postponed - you announce it again. Don't like when teams can't even do that. |

Yes a vesting period is also used sometime to avoid quick dump. But if the project has realy a good potential i think it’s not mandatory, the price will stay good if the possibiities of the project are good. So it depend a lot of the team.
There is really the strong point in the project, which is the team's hard and continued work, this guarantees us from any outside, although there is some derailment of investors hurrying, recoveries and then repurchase, for the potential presented bots are flooded the page above:) i trust to a project more when there is a vesting period like 6 months or 1 year for developers, it blocks quick hit and runs.i know its a free world but its unfair that dumping a huge load of tokens when you are working for it. No vesting period will stop devs from dumping and running if the project is a scam. Otherwise, for all legit projects it's become somehow on obligatory condition, it's logical if you look at it, also provides additional guarantees for investors. |

Yes it will be very interesting to see the different projects that will be available on the platform. I think the possibilities are huge. Oil and electricity are good exemples for possible projects, and there is many other. Impatient to see that.
It will be whole difference thing to see projects on platform. Can't wait actually. They have already numerous different projects on their platform. As I understood they are mainly from the research center in Novosibirsk. I think they are partners with this and some more Russian research centers, but I hope that very soon they gonna partner up with some more institutions. |

They want to issue security tokens? But for security tokens you must have a lot of licenses, and I dont think that SEC or any other government structure allow issue tokens on anonymous platform ...  From their FAQ section: Is DUSK a security token?No. DUSK is not a security because it presents a protocol-regulated inflationary mechanism and provides no profit or dividends whatsoever. It absolves the same role of Ether in the Ethereum ecosystem. My question was in another. They will have smart contracts for creating tokens like Ethereum? But this is anonymous coin, so SEC will allow create security tokens on anonymous blockchain? I suppose not. In general this is doubtful. On the other hand, the SEC does not have global power in the field of cryptocurrency. They said before that they shouldn't have problems with the SEC. Don't know if the reality will be any different. |
