is there any plan to release more in depth technical white paper in near term?  First version is good but simple explanation of all tech. I see more adviser joining team which is good.

I'm not sure if we'll release an updated whitepaper. If there are any changes in the future- we will of course update the whitepaper. For people who want to see even more in-depth explanations we are releasing a developer blog each month, as well as make parts of our private Github repository public after each section passes a security audit.

Any significant changes in the project have to be written in the WP, about minor changes it's not that necessary I guess.

Great! Having additional team members who possess relevant expertise and capabilities will surely complement this project making it more solid and valuable. Imho.

You are right, but on the other hand, if the team steadily goes according with roadmap, then is no need to change the whitepaper.

It is a common problem nowadays, especially in some cases related to the new classification policy. But I hope your site is down now is not a privacy issue, or something that goes on for a long time

It was not our website but a third party hosting site, all has been fixed!  Wink
well i see that everything was resolved quickly so congratulations to the team for the speed...

Maybe it would be worth to include not only tech but business details as well, like sale details, stuff about token etc.

Ha ha, you are a bold one, everyone is complaining about how hard to understand the whitepaper is compared to what usually passes as a whitepaper in the cryptosphere, and you want an even more technical one.

But you are not wrong. In the short term it is still a research project, and it will be interesting to see the technical side of Dusk's applications in practice.

Its really hard to understand technical whitepaper these days as most of the tech stuff will be in still "planning" and common people wont understand it generally. Most of the time we just see the outcome of the process rather than getting into technical details.

many people don't read the whitepaper because it's complicated, it's the thought of a beginner maybe, but to get into ico we have to read the whitepaper and the clarity of the team must be correct, to ensure a scam or not

Seems like a solid project, but I can't fathom how one can possibly hope to create a scalable distributed network that can handle bulky media network traffic while also promising anonymity. People usually have a hard enough time tackling those problems separately.

But you will have smart contracts for creating tokens? Right? In which country your company registered and going to work?

A smart contract will not be a requirement for launching a STO. We will use a special cryptographic accumulator which will allow us to store zk-KYC data directly on the chain. Now I want to give you an example or comparison so you can relate but the issue is that there is nothing to compare it with as this will be quite a unique feature of the platform. Basically, the cryptographic accumulator will allow the nodes to validate the inclusivity of a given transaction to this accumulator (meaning that the person making the transaction passed the KYC) and therefore will simulate the functionality of a smart contract, but with anonymity.

We are registered in The Netherlands and have both offices in Amsterdam and Rotterdam!

This seems interesting. But there KYC date will not be avaliable for third parties? It will be safe for people? And I asked about capabilities create tokens, not about launch ICOs only and KYC.

Everything is explained in the whitepaper, they worked out the theory behind it and there is also some pseudo code. You can see they just didn't woke up in the morning, hacked up a whitepaper with some feature would appeal people with cash in their pocket and started this.

Yes, it is complicated but people can understand what is it about if they know crypto a little bit. If they don't understand enough information about it, i think they shouldn't invest. Otherwise, it would be a gamble for them, not an investment.

That happen a lot last year, many people invested in projects just to have quick prfit without knowing what was the project about. This year just best projects will be profitable so investors should read carefully whitepaper's before investing.

I am not sure that i understood Ethereum when it was on ico stage, or when Monero started, i really didn't have a clue what i was doing mining it. And half of this goes beyond my understanding. But i didn't and will not blame the project for my lack of understanding.  All i can say is that read the answers, and the medium posts. With every answer i learn a little bit more because they are written so well. Reading something twice helps too.

And this is a research project, so of course it's complicated. But the depth of the answers in this thread is in whole new level and you can judge much by those.
