201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 24, 2024, 11:10:22 AM
Why are you wasting time looking for "cloud mining" sites?
Your chances of getting scammed or never getting back the expected profit are pretty close to 100%. If you can't mine using your own hardware, just buy the coins you see have high potential in the next bull run, keep them in a secure noncustodial wallet, wait till the price rises and you cash out.
202  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME SCAM on SPORTS BETTING $1000 on: February 23, 2024, 12:15:59 PM
I think I'm getting to understand your case fully right now, and for me I think if only you can proof that your complaint was made before the game was played and you lost it, then you truly deserve your betting refund (i.e $1000),  But if the complaint was made after the game got played and you lost it, then... (I reserved my comment). And I think it's at this point, I let the casino representative do this job regarding this case, as I'm really interested in this case and will love to see how it ends. However, I'm wishing you good luck.
Whether the bet was lost or not. IMO, it's still not ethical to accept a bet that has an old odd when odds have already changed because it can later on cause issues. Let's put it the other way round. What if the odd had dropped from 1.5 to 1.2, OP stakes 1,000 and potential win is 1,500 according to the old odd instead of 1,200.

Do you think the sportsbook would stomach that? Personally, I don't think so. They would consider the bet void due to a system error and probably just refund the initial stake.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Participation in Miner pools on early stages in beneficial or not?? on: February 23, 2024, 11:59:30 AM
As far as I can tell, that's not real mining, mate. They are more like Ponzi schemes or pyramid schemes, which in the end will just exit and scam users. Crypto involves use of mining hardware and software. If you want to mine crypto, you must buy mining gear such as ASICs or GPUs, not sending BNB to a pool and then think that you will get rewards out of it
Be careful, my brother.
204  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME SCAM on SPORTS BETTING $1000 on: February 23, 2024, 10:16:01 AM
As far as I know, when one is placing a bet and the odds change during the process. A prompt pops up informing the user that the odds have changed and asks if they would still accept the new odds and proceed.

I read the conversation between you and one of the support assistant and the way they responded does not give any confidence. Seems to be something like language barrier or not properly understanding the complaint. I believe their support in the forum will help follow up and give a better answer. Just be patient, OP.
205  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [EXTENSION] bitcoindata extension for bitcointalk on: February 23, 2024, 10:02:51 AM
Testing: Posting this because it looked distorted in the preview tab

Another great one @bitmover. This one will make it easier to post live prices instead of one first having to load the site

clarification regarding address balance

Code:
[url=https://bitcoindata.science/bitcointalk-api.html#address-balance][img height=16]https://bitcoindata.science/api/addressbalance.php?address=***YOUR_ADDRESS***&currency=USD&hex=f8f7f7&bold[/img][/url]

Code:
***YOUR_ADDRESS***
Does one have to replace the stars/asterisks too with the address? Or does the address go in between the asterisks?

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Coin Corner - fast, secure and handy cryptoexchange without KYC! on: February 22, 2024, 09:59:00 PM
You created an advert, but you didn't bother to include your website's link, so we have no idea which coin corner you are advertising here. Is it this one (coincorner.com)?
Members are at a danger of ending up with phishing links under Google results.

You have an AML policy, so the argument of not having KYC on your platform is invalid.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BETA | MultiChain DegenSniper on: February 22, 2024, 09:51:06 PM
Do you have any plans of adding more Dexes like those on Solana chain which seems to be popular at the moment?

Is it completely free?
208  Other / Politics & Society / What happened to the Nigerian Currency? on: February 22, 2024, 09:29:50 PM
I had a chat with a friend from Nigeria, and he told me how life is hard there and wants to get out of the country for greener pastures. He said how the economy was in a total collapse and yet the cost of living was so high. I took what he said lightly until I saw their currency value vs. the US dollar today. I was completely shocked.

I think we have a number of forum members here who are from Nigeria. I would like to hear from them. What happened to the Nigerian Currency? What triggered its complete drop in price, and what is the Government planning to reverse the trend?
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 22, 2024, 08:59:03 PM
Athletic Bilbao's decisive run for their top four chance is really a serious threat for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.  Sad  By the way I'm still surprised how Barcelona are able to stay three points ahead of Atletico Madrid with this performance honestly.  Grin
It's because at the beginning Atletico Madrid wasn't equally performing so well but so much focus was on Barcelona's poor form and finances.

I really admire Athletic Bilbao's performance in the La Liga this season. They are way better than those two teams at defending before anything else. When it comes to scoring productivity I think they are really good at that as well. Their effort against Girona was really impressive last week. They still have games against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid both too so the results of these games will be really crucial for them to make it to top four. But it feels like they won't finish there anyway.
One thing I am sure about is they will squeeze out some points if they are playing any of the teams at home. They are very strong at San Mames stadium

Edit: At some point, they are playing Barcelona at home.
210  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: February 21, 2024, 09:55:08 PM
3 months since no one posting in this thread. I'm posting here today because something strange happen to me, that I received an email from cloudbet support this
Quote
An account is already registered to this address: (email address)
I don't know why I received an email like this since I'm not  doing anything with cloudbet account and never visited it again. As i remember the last time I played in this website was 3 years ago and haven't received any email promotions since I unsubscribe to the email newsletter promotions. Does anyone of you who played in this casino experience the same thing?
Maybe someone was trying to intentionally or erroneously use your email address to register on Cloudbet?

I have an account with them from way back. I also stopped using the casino for some good years now, but the last promotional email I got from them was in 2018. Maybe some messages end up in the spam folder, I am not sure.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which project/token inflicted your biggest loss? on: February 21, 2024, 09:35:44 PM
Ayyy pundix fellow here.
You know that coin isn't a shitcoin like at all. It has a genuine real world product which most crypto don't have. I guess you just unlucky to bought it at the top. i think many people who invest when the market in its peak also have this problem.
In fact i plan to include them in my portfolio
They had a very good working product, but the amateurish team lost their way when they raised a lot of money during the ICO. They had no damn good idea on how to handle the project and propel it forward. Eventually they started doing some common things like token split and then creating another completely different token FunctionX, to raise more money. Fuck, i don't know what its purpose was to the project by that time, as I had completely given up on it.

The tokens dumped so hard and the volumes were so low that Binance even delisted some of their trading pairs.
212  Other / Meta / Re: Italian main topic on bitcoin - why we have so much OFF TOPIC? on: February 21, 2024, 09:19:41 PM
Maybe you should try reporting those posts that you think are off-topic to the mods. If the moderators keep deleting off-topic posts. The spammers will give up and stop going off-topic. I don't know if your local moderator is active.

Alternatively, you can vote as a community to request admin to disable signature display in the megathread or just lock it and start a new one that is self-moderated.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which project/token inflicted your biggest loss? on: February 18, 2024, 09:46:30 PM
Fortunately i didn't suffer any losses due to the LUNA and FTX fiasco except maybe just a dip in Bitcoin price which is part of my portfolio. Perhaps I owe this to the lessons I learned during the 2017-2018 ICO hype, where I made some losses trying to HODL and religiously believe in ERC20 tokens  Grin

There were so many tokens I held, but the most notable one was PundiX because I was about 70% of my portfolio. I ended up selling off the tokens when the prices had totally dipped in the middle of a bear market. From then, I stopped putting most of my energy in shitcoins.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2024, 09:04:13 PM
Bochum beat Bayern München, which means it's the end of the road for Bayern München. They are now far away from the championship. Bayer Leverkusen increased its point difference to 8 points. With 12 matches remaining, the point difference is over 2 matches and Leverkusen remains undefeated. Bayern München's years-long streak is about to end. All praise goes to Xabi Alonso. How many matches have they been undefeated, it's been a crazy season for them.
It just keeps getting worse for FC Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel. From my personal view, it just can wait to see another team lift the Bundesliga trophy, especially a team like Bayer Leverkusen. For so long, Bayern Munich have monopolized the Bundesliga while at the same time killing off their top opponents by buying up their key players.
This made the league so boring where one could predict who was going to lift the trophy at the end of the season even just after 5 matches.

2. Spot Ethereum ETF
After the Bitcoin ETF is approved, there is a high possibility that the Ethereum ETF is only a matter of time. So ETH itself will be the big narrative for the upcoming cycle along with important upgrades incoming of its. Maybe if it gets crazier, Ethereum could surpass Bitcoin in terms of capitalization this cycle.
Why is this in the list, even when they have not been approved yet? Do you have any slightest Idea it too for the Bitcoin ETFs to be approved?
Just so you know, SEC still has mixed feelings about Ethereum is a security or not. Imagine after all that time of Ethereum's existence, there is no clear boundary regarding it being a security or not, and you think they are just going to approve an ETF overnight just because the recently approved Bitcoin Spot ETFs?
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 17, 2024, 09:59:13 PM
Barcelona, Atletico they have been inconsistent this season. Naturally, Girona was able to get points against them. Secondly, I observed that Girona is actually still under Real Madrid. So far, they have been able to take advantage of the opponent's weaknesses and the type of play of closed Girona. This means that they get a lot of points with a counterattack system to make goals. In addition, they rely on the spirit of hard work.
Atletico Madrid Might finish second ahead of Girona. Their form has been improving compared to the start of the season. I don't think those lads (Girona) have all the resource to keep up the good fight until the end of the season. Maybe they will fight for third place with Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 17, 2024, 09:53:49 PM
Well, you're right. I am disappointed with the result of the match, but this is not the end of it. Thinking about how to improve it is better than regretting it, that's what Pep Guardiola must do in every next match. I saw Haaland frustrated in this match and several times he failed to convert his chances into goals, but I hope he will soon return to his best performance.

The next match is against Brentford, in that match Manchester City must win. There is no reason to lose or lose points, otherwise Liverpool will be more comfortable at the top of the standings. Today Liverpool and Arsenal both won their respective matches, they got better especially when Manchester City dropped points.
By the way, so many people undermine Chelsea. I guess because they had very bad form at the beginning of the season but to me, lately Chelsea is a hard nut to crack especially if they are playing against a top league team.
They have quite a number of stars in their team, all it take is all the player turning up, and they will give any top side a run for their money. The result did not surprise me.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t you think BRC20 tokens need more spotlight? on: February 17, 2024, 09:27:50 PM
You really care about that? I do not but Litecoin is probably the closest they could move to since they also have inscriptions. If not there then any of the chains. I still view them as short-term money making opportunities and they can get that even if they migrate.
Do you think they will still be known as BRC20?  Grin

We all know Litecoin chain is less popular, though it's a good one if one wants transactions with cheaper fees whenever Bitcoin network is clogged but let's be honest. There is only one reason why the inscriptions were so much hyped up on the Bitcoin network.
