201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: August 05, 2020, 06:24:34 PM
I think most people approach crypto in the wrong way. With "get rich quick" approach.

If you come to crypto with such an attitude, you should never ever invest.

On the other hand, if you actually had to earn it while doing whatever you are usually doing anyway, that involves money?

Examples:
You get crypto as a token of gratitude after making donation to some project. (crowdfunding)
or
You are paid crypto as a bonus to your salary.
or
... (any other examples come to your mind?)

Wouldn't the whole cryptoworld be way more healthy? What do you think about it?

Everyone has different approach when it comes to crypto. There are services that allows you to get paid in crypto but I see your point and why people choosing crypto more carefully will help it in the long term. Things are beginning to shift from what it was years ago when people saw crypto as only investment or a way to get rich quick.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are buying when the price is going up and not when it is down on: August 04, 2020, 07:16:09 PM
I notice that when there the price is going up so many people are joining the train and they also buy because the price is going up and they are going to make a profit, why people are not buying when it is down when the price will eventually go up and they can make a lot of profit.  Huh

They are expecting that it will go much higher or may be they are day trading. It's not an easy answer to this and you can't assume whats their motive behind it. Most people prefer to buy when price is low but this doesn't involve day traders and people who are trying to ride the waves.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is 5 years old today! on: August 04, 2020, 07:01:51 PM
Ethereum has shown to be a great project and great investment for many people. For its age it has shown the development that no one ever thought was possible. This definitely indicates that eth is way ahead in the game and it still continues to maintain its status.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dont sell off because of the period on: August 01, 2020, 04:51:49 PM
Am not the one to endorse all altcoin, or point someone to the direction of trading or investing in one. But am the type of investor that does believe in shaking or shivering with situation.
Bitcoin is rising and thats good. Rumors can say the up coming bitcoin halving has something to do with it.
Many are now quick to sell off altcoin that they have been holding with so much promise.
This can be of bad consequences, I am the one to always invest in BTC if I have the found to get one, but I did not invest in bitcoin because of increasing price.
What you tend to loose selling of your coin
+ all your time of investment would become in vain: long term holder of altcoin should not without a thoughtful look sell off there coin
+ things might not go as you planned: the ball can go two ways, one it can go in your favour and two go against you.

I understand that investing in something more promising -bitcoin for example- is productive, but rather than, selling off just invest in it with available raw capital.

It depends a lot on what people are investing and what is causing them to sell off. I don't think there is a simple answer to that some people sell off when they are in need of money and others prefers to hold their ground. Its always wise to move with the market but you have to take other things in consideration that are out of person's hands such as new opportunity, need, control over emotions etc.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bitcoin and Altcoins bullish together on: August 01, 2020, 04:26:32 PM
Its  extremely rare to see bitcoin go bullish all alone. It never happen due to many altcoins (except stablecoin) reliance on bitcoin for movement. Currently, everything is going in the right direction and everyone is very happy with the current situation.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are back with another trick. Be alert!!! on: July 31, 2020, 01:09:52 PM
This is quite sad Embarrassed because I have seen these same ads not only youtube but twitter. Worst part is that people who fall for these are generally those who are at their lowest point. Person who is financially stable won't go looking for ways to quickly double his money. I think social media platforms in general should do much better job at spotting them.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: July 31, 2020, 12:58:50 PM
Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?

name should always justify what you are offering. If name doesn't match with the project then it will hurt it in the long and short run. You don't want name to be confusing either. You want simple but something that is straight forward and doesn't confuse people.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How can blockchain help amidst the pandemic? on: July 29, 2020, 04:37:44 PM
when you speak of crime you have to keep many things in mind. As things move digitally as they already are blockchain will become a savior for many people. I am not really sure how it would deter crime since crime is not dependent on having a blockchain but it will definitely help digital life become little more safer.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: July 29, 2020, 04:33:51 PM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now

Yes, these jobs give their technicians a lot of money, but these jobs need knowledge, experience and skill that may be for years of learning. The project cannot contract with a beginner person in these jobs or his experience is not enough, but work in the bounty does not require any expertise, only if you have Accounts on social media have a lot of followers, you can start working.

Yes, it reminds me of learntocode trend and how it started annoying people.  Cheesy. Doing bounties you don't need to be a developer which requires coding skills and everyone is not cut up for it or not really interested in it. I find it amusing how people from technical side always seems to think that everyone should automatically know how to code or learn it. We need variation.
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal to Offer Crypto Trading on: July 28, 2020, 01:20:55 PM
This will be interesting to watch. We have seen similar news in the past but it never came to fruition. Surely, this time it is different and if Paypal enters this it may be bad news for other exchanges who have been in the business for a long time. it would speed up the process for many individuals but there are risks that should also be looked into.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What strategies do you use to make profits or to make your portfolio grow? on: July 28, 2020, 01:10:03 PM
Are you using a long-term strategy to make a percentage profit?

or you'd rather jump from project to project..?

sharing your experience in the crypto industry will be highly appreciated here

Great question and people should consider both when looking at their investment. I don't consider short term to be bad but long term is where I try to focus. I used to enjoy short term too but it lost its sparkle and I don't see anything wrong with it for those who like it.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: July 03, 2020, 09:41:52 AM
I know this have been discussed several times on this forum but yet I will like to drop this again, I'm sure few new developers are among us here, so here we go

It will be a whole new story if new projects can start paying bounty hunters in USD or stablecoin, this have few advantages over paying with your own tokens, if new projects find it as a most for people to try out their new Blockchain they should use airdrops instead, airdrops has the lowest rewards, hardly to get 2$ in airdrops today

As for bounties please start paying in USDT, DAI or USDC, this will erase your sense of 'bounty hunters are killing new projects' idea

I really like this idea and I think every new project should get behind it. Many people have had bounty where the price of the token dropped exponentially by the time it was listed anywhere. Due to this many reliable people have become turned off but getting to stablecoin or at least an old reliable coin would be more beneficial to everyone. We don't know where alt would be by the time it is listed.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just because it's called a shitcoin doesn't mean it really is on: July 01, 2020, 04:55:43 PM
that term lost its meaning long time ago when people started referring to everything they didn't like as shitcoin. Its always a good idea to look for reason when someone refers to an altcoin as shitcoin and if you can't find the reason you should trust your own reasoning.

214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are most Altcoins with little or No presence shit. on: July 01, 2020, 04:52:21 PM
i came across a post on medium about Energi project that fought very very hard to recover their funds that was stolen by a crypto scammer on discord. i think the guy worked with them but looted their account and disappeared Or he stole a huge amount of token form the project using his tricky method.
The point here is that the energi team went into investigation to crack down the scammer and they made a tremendous success discovering the scammer. the energi project i believe are into cybersecurity as part of their project.

So, the post made a huge point that most altcoins we see today are really good BUT it is unfortunate, they fell into the wrong hands of scammers that might post as good guys but have a devlish intention just like the scammer. some young projects disappeared not as a result of funds or activities but are affected by scams. most project died down when the people they trusted and believed to built a solid project suddenly turn to devil.
BUT this does not mean that scam project does not exit, they do. HONESTLY, There are projects out there with 100% intention to rob you but not all.
Some are good but fall during  the process and has no option than to pull out.

for those interest, you can read up the post. i found it interesting.
https://medium.com/energi/chasing-down-discords-biggest-crypto-scammer-cf74436ee3e2

If its something that happened to a project they should try to get it back in any way they can. Anybody who is listing a product should be responsible and only get responsible people in their team. It happens that sometimes greed takes over and someone can backstab but it is rare and unfortunately it is common in crypto world.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Volatility is good but... on: June 26, 2020, 05:48:15 AM
Volatility is part of what defines Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies. As the industry matures, the rise of cryptocurrencies that tracks the performance of less volatile traditional assets like real estates and commodities will likely bring a lot of beauty to the cryptocurrency industry. I believe that a mix of more volatile crypto assets and less volatile assets will give traders a lot of options to enjoy while trading.
In crypto industry both stable coins and volatile coins are available in the market. So peoples are trade the volatile cryptocurrency because If you trying to make risk it will make profit or loss so good prediction and analysing is important for all the investment. Nowadays all are concentrate the Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB because minimum three coins is important to buy and hold for trading. I hope active traders always make profit in crypto trading.

this is what makes crypto industry beautiful indeed. Your ability to stick with volatile cryptocurrencies or choose less volatile and more stable. It pretty much reflects how real world is right now.  There are people who prefer to choose stable coin although there aren't many but they are still there. I think people focus on more than three coins and stick with top 50-100 for the most part. Some people prefer to become more volatile in this industry and choose alts that are below 100 but that also increases your risk.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What are TOP small-medium exchanges to list a token for a new, great project? on: June 24, 2020, 06:10:10 AM
I am talking about the best starter exchanges for a new project with a limited amount of funding available.

I am looking for a list of Top 5 best exchanges for real projects, starting from the smallest (cheapest), but with decent user base and volume.

Can you name any?

Become so good that exchange find your project and get it listed without you contacting them. I find that IDEX is a good exchange but I wouldn't call it small and it is more well known than my other exchanges out there. You don't want to list it on too small exchange or you risk not getting any attention.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Warning Scam : Crypcore Exchange on: June 23, 2020, 07:05:08 AM
keep your eyes open for red flags like this. I am not sure if this is real or fake but I have seen these kinds of advertisements before from many different and sometimes well-known people. They are generally based on lies but imposters can also create fake accounts and pretend to be someone they are not. Always check multiple resources and speak to multiple people to get an idea of what is going on.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most searched cryptocurrencies on Google on: June 18, 2020, 05:46:58 AM
Hello, according to the website: blockchaincenter.net, these cryptocurrencies are most searched among cryptocurrencies:
1.  Bitcoin (80,8%)
2. Ethereum (14%)
3. XRP (8%) followed by Litecoin (4,7%), Bitcoin Cash (2,7%), IOTA (2,5%), Monero (2,1%), Tron (1,8%), Dogecoin (1,8%) and Cardano (1,5%).

They processed information based on Google Trends.

When you compare it with the market cap, then where is Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, EOS or Binance Coin?  Shocked

I am not surprised to see Bitcoin at the top because it has been around for longer than any other cryptocurrency. I am little surprised to see doge in the list since it came down long time ago. You are using some other website than google and I would like to see what you find when you use google. either way it is  a good handy thing to have.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Some Alts for long run investment. on: June 17, 2020, 06:13:55 AM
When looking at long term investment you should try to stick with alts that are already doing well and staying in top 50. Anything else you will be increasing your risk but also increasing your risk to reward ratio. It depends on what your goal is what you consider long term investment. For someone long term could mean a year but for others it could mean five years. Are you able to hold your coin for years or do you just want to hold for less than one year?
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency & Mobile Gaming on: June 16, 2020, 06:41:17 AM
Found out about a new project today called Ludena Protocol.
From what I've read its an app in Korea currently with 3 million users thats launching globally soon

Basically you play mobile games like COD, PUBG etc and then get rewarded in tokens, in exchange for them collecting your data and then selling it to publishers.

Does something like this even make sense? Most gamers don't care about cryptocurrency in my opinion, but the fact that 3 million users are currently using the platform that can be easily convereted into DAPP users in the backgorund is kind of appealing.

Anyways, I would appreciate everyones input on whether these two industries should even be combined

The idea behind this is that you allow people to play games and give them tokens in return. Only issue here is I am not sure if you really need crypto for it anymore. I understand it says there are 3 million users but I am not sure how that would help. What kind of data are they collecting? it'll play a big role in how it goes. They'll have to compete with big companies that have billions of users. Gamers will go to whoever is paying them most so I don't think that's an issue as long as they are able to transfer their followers and get more support.
