301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook’s Libra Isn’t a “Cryptocurrency” on: June 25, 2019, 01:31:31 PM
I would still consider it cryptocurrency as long as it runs on blockchain tech. We may not consider it publicly traded crypto yet, but that doesn't make it non-crypto. By definition it is cryptocurrency as mentioned by many others and even if it stablecoin, it is still a crypto as long as it fits the definition. Perhaps we need to separate the two.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do companies get their "Bitcoin experts" from? on: June 25, 2019, 01:26:55 PM
Depends on the business and what they're offering. Their in house expert may not fit our definition of an expert but if it works for them that's what really matters and I think that's the only they really care about. Judging from the limited criteria that they need to get the job done I would doubt whether that term is actually meant more than anything than to impress their customers and investors alike.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thanks so much for making me a multi-millionaire!!! I AM EVER-THANKFUL! on: June 24, 2019, 01:07:33 PM
wait, why is this thread created in 2019? that rise was long time ago. Why didn't you create a thread at that time when you had made the profit?  Smiley. good investment if true. I wonder how those other users feel like who were bashing op.  Smiley
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Helving is coming - from 25 to 12.5 new LTC in per block on: June 24, 2019, 01:02:00 PM
Litecoin helving is coming on Block #1,680,000 (estimated around Aug 7th, 2019)

Block revard will increase from 25 LTC to 12.5 LTC.

when BTC has last Helving, price was 445$ and after helving - price willnot lower then 445.

what you think about Litecoin future?

LTC is undervalued right now and that can change through halving. I wouldn't really compare it to btc halving since there is a lot more interest in btc then say ltc. I mean it was good before but is it good today? it is ofcourse but things have moved towards other coins such as eth. Although I think that halving should make it more stable at whatever price it gets to by halving.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have learnt to cash out on: June 22, 2019, 06:00:47 AM
With recent events in crypto currency trades since January 2019, I have learnt to cash out

Crypto currency long term hodl is very good and rewarding no doubts
But we are at a stage where crypto is formed by whales and the money controllers

With the persistent pump and dumps by the whales; crypto is like a game at the moment

it's probably not the best time to cash out since we're in bull run. May be wait. I can see that you created this thread months ago so same rule that applied then may not apply today although cashing out is a probably good tactic for investors.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will the bull market come? on: June 22, 2019, 05:59:29 AM
I bought TNB for 30% of my position,20 % cent of the position bought ethereum,50% of the positions are in bitcoin,How many assets can you achieve in the next 10 years Shocked Roll Eyes
look at the market now and you’ll find the answer for your long prayers

We are truthfully in bullrunning now seeing a more than $10,700 value in just overnight.

Ethereum sits at $307 .you are in good shape now for sure mate with that 50% folio for eth

just past few days we were talking about btc crossing $10k and look it has already crossed it. some people had suggested that it would take a month for it to cross that point but fortunately they were mistaken.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be more stable in the future? on: June 20, 2019, 12:23:23 PM
Ethereum is young in relation to bitcoin, its market capitalization continues to grow every day. Ethereum became very popular when many tokens started using their smart contracts. Many ICOS are based on the Ethereum platform. Will it be more stable in the future? What do You think about this?

stable coins are not same ethereum. They're different, look at usdt or binance coin. They're stable and centralized. Whereas ethereum is not stable and price movement is expected. I don't know if people really want it to be stable coin since it would be bad for investors and short term traders. I don't see it as stable coin in the near future but only time will tell.
308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analyst claim Bitcoin will easily surpass $15,000 if it gets $10,000 on: June 20, 2019, 12:18:42 PM
We're in the resistance level at this very moment. If it does cross $10k, next resistance would be $15k then $20k and so on. I don't see time frame in that article so it's more of a prediction.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC will hit 500++ on july 15 2019 on: June 19, 2019, 01:22:33 PM
halving is in august 2019, here is the explanation what that means: https://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/litecoin-halving/

i checked the price in 2015 a month before halving, it went x7, and it stablize x2 before halving date.

so lets say it will be 110 x 5 not x7= 550 usd, then it will stablize at 220.

This is estimated price. I personally think it will hit 680 on july 15.

your thoughts?

that's a huge jump from its current price. It will definitely rise around halving but it's not clear how high that rise would be. I think it may reach $300 easily but beyond that I'm not so sure but if you increase the time frame it may as well hit $500 which is just a speculation and hearsay.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Libra - Facebook Cryptocurrency on: June 19, 2019, 01:19:44 PM
Target launch for Libra is in the first half of 2020. Libra will start as a permissioned blockchain (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc are permissionless blockchain). Meaning, you can't mine it if you are not allowed by the Libra Association to mine it.

You can apply to be a Founding Member to have rights to run a Validator Node. Only 1 billion dollars is needed  to apply Grin Grin Grin.

I'll stick with the decentralized and permissionless coins  Grin

that's shocking but not shocking. I'm looking forward to see how it will do but it's highly unlikely that it'll get listed on exchange right away. People who are not members will probably have to wait a long time before they can see it on any exchange. risky step by facebook
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Facebook’s Libra Coin be a Game Changer in Crypto Ecosystem on: June 19, 2019, 01:15:32 PM
It seems facbook won't be managing it directly but from what I can see it can beneficial for the facebook or calibra but at the same time consumers can accumulate large amount of debts if they are not careful enough.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can anyone or experts still predict/ forecast cryptocurrency nowadays? on: June 18, 2019, 01:16:52 PM
Yes, they can still predict future cryptocurrency price but more often than not they are completely off the mark. Your own prediction is much better than trusting an "expert" from an online blog. It's not really that difficult to tell price movement once you get the hang of it and learn to access multiple sources but that doesn't make you an expert in any way.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: June 18, 2019, 01:08:22 PM
GlobalCoin is coming. What are your thoughts on this new Facebook-made altcoin? What have you heard about it?

Share your first impression!

It'll be a Global coin of its own. I don't see it as a bitcoin contender but I feel it'll be more popular amongst young adults who use facbook and insgram to express themselves. I don't think it would be that popular though, perhaps popular in the beginning but I don't think it will keep up under the pressure.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh is going to accept Blockchain technology. on: June 18, 2019, 01:05:08 PM

We should be cautious though because accepting the possible use of the blockchain technology does not automatically mean that bitcoin can also be given the same pass...but we are hoping that this is so. Bangladesh can be a good addition to many countries whose people are already enjoying the option of buying, using and trading bitcoin. With a growing economy and number of people, the potential for this country to contribute something for the industry can be a big and happy news.

Yes, it's not the same thing. Blockchain technology is different from cryptocurrency. May be they're referring to using it in voting process and other things. It doesn't make it a good or bad news for cryptocurrency users.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DEX (Decentralized Exchange) still unpopular? on: June 14, 2019, 12:55:24 PM
Hi all traders!
Why you always using Centralized Exchange to trade Decentralized Asset?
Too many 'hacked' news or maybe "hacked by internal" at 2019, Cryptopia, Binance, Huobi, Etc.

Why traders still using Centralized Exchange?

Centralized Exchange

+ Huge Volume
+ Fast CS Response

- Less security
- Not your keys, not your coins
- Paid to list

Binance has launch Binance DEX but still have low volume and pair only for BNB (not BTC)

Issue is that people are used to old exchanges and speed is slow for dex. Dex exchanges still lack behind in popularity and their media coverage is very little compare to nondex. If a centralized exchange comes with dex, I would highly doubt their legitimacy.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano price prediction for next bull run? on: June 13, 2019, 03:50:59 PM
I expect it to reach above $1 when its time comes. It is a great token with real use and underrated right now but like last time it will rise. Peak cannot be predicted until we see it reach above $1 but that is what many people are expecting.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are stable coins the solution for price volitility? on: June 13, 2019, 03:48:07 PM
Cryptocurrency is often criticized for its price volatility. Some solutions are attempting to control price volatility by price controls (i.e. USDT, Ample).  Is this really the correct solution?

The current crypto price volatility is caused by 100% buyer demand dependency on speculative trading. Emotional speculators turn with the latest news or hype.  Of course, prices will be most volatile when they are solely dependent on speculation.

More mature publicly traded assets like gold and silver don't have the price volatility of crypto because the majority of their buyer demand comes from their utility. Gold and silver are guaranteed to be purchased regularly for its utility purpose of manufacturing electronic components, jewelry, etc.

Similar to the dot com era, many napkin ideas had millions of dollars thrown at them, but the only ones that survived were the ones with a sustainable business model.

As crypto matures, the successful projects will be those that create the majority of their buyer demand from real utility.

Price volatility is what makes crypto exciting for many people. Yes, stable coin can help the volatility but do you really want stablility in crypto? there aren't many opportunities for investors and miners alike.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold exist 1000+ years. while bitcoins exist 10 years. on: June 12, 2019, 03:45:34 PM
Gold exist for over a 1000+ years maybe? Bitcoin only 10 years. Also the internet existed about 25+ years. Bitcoin price is higher than gold by over 200%. I think the value of Bitcoin is going to sky rocket once again. When technology gets more advance n the Bitcoin system upgrades. Just another speculation.

Gold has existed for much much longer than 1000 years. There is strong evidence that it has been here since the begining of the planet earth, possibly before? From human perspective it may be losing value since we're moving towards digital economy but there are many physical uses of gold which we do not even know yet. Once we've completely moved away from physical money and physical investment, we can finally start using gold for more productive things.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: noteworthy altcoins for investment? on: June 12, 2019, 03:41:45 PM
After overtaking Ethereum on CMC, XRP seems to be one of the most promising cryptocurrencies of 2019. This cryptocurrency has seen unprecedented growth in last year along with a whopping price rise.

Now, due to its consensus mechanism, more and more payment providers are getting onboard. Moreover, there are some released products like xRapid, xCurrent, and xVia, which are improving its overall position in the blockchain network.

When it comes to its market prediction for 2019, as published on coinswitch, there will be an addition to its partnerships and technologies that might surge its price to 8 to 10 dollars.

There is a chance that might reach $1.20 by the end of 2019, do u think?

promising? may be for short term. I can't say about most promising in 2019, there are other crypto that are much more promising than xrp. You can predict.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Begins to Be Used in the Football Industry on: June 12, 2019, 03:38:50 PM
It is SL Benfica, a Portuguese soccer giant who has decided to accept payments using bitcoin (BTC) in each transaction. In addition to BTC, fans can buy tickets, t-shirts, and all club accessories using special tokens named Ether (ETH) or UTK. The historic decision was announced by Benfica through the club's official website some time ago.
To help realize this plan, Benfica has partnered with a company called Utrust which later acted as a money changer and was tasked with exchanging crypto money from fans to conventional money instantly. Thus, it is expected that the club can mitigate the potential for price reductions that could occur due to the relatively high volatility of the crypto exchange rate in the spot market.

may be it's just sponsored but nonetheless it is a great news and it will bring more visibility towards bitcoin. Being in the sports is huge since you can easily get to millions of people and it would further push legitimacy of bitcoin.
