What is your strategy when selecting altcoins to invest in to get huge ROI?
I prefer making sure that it's an active coin on the dev side, good social footprint and minable (preferably with a lower total supply).
I don't think there is any particular strategy to get huge ROI in crypto. You just have to do your research and stick with whichever alt you choose until it fully develops. |

Trying to sell some coins with high gains to buy some that has dipped alot, but it seems they all move up and down together for the most part. This makes it hard to sell. Is this how it normally is? Been trading just a month now.
Not always. They're affected by btc price as of late. You can still make profit by dumping what you have and purchasing whatever dumped by a lot. However, who is to say it will reach where it was before the dump? so it's as risky as any other altcoin. |

I feel eth has reached its peak for few months and it'll hover around $1000 for 3-4 months. When bitcoin rises again eth won't rise as much just like in the past. There are many other alts that are way below eth price and they can rise faster as they have more room to grow.

Hey guys, so the last ripple thread got closed down and since there aren't any new ones I decided to make one on my own.
I got around 126 ripple at the moment and I'm just wondering if they will turn me into a millionaire in the next two years.
I personally believe that they will and that anyone reading this should invest into ripple.

After all, you cannot beat the banks.
They will buy all the ripple and they will pay whatever amount is needed just to get the technology for themselves.
This means that getting in now, at a dollar, is a bargain as the more banks get interested in ripple and buying it, the more the demand for it will grow and the prices will shoot up crazy!
We watched it go from 0.19 to almost 5$ in the span of just a few weeks, I don't see why bigger growth isn't possible and don't tell me about the market cap- people were bickering about it on a dollar and ripple dumpstered it without any issues.
Please discuss and remain civil while doing it.
you meant $10 that is more reasonable than $10,000. It is controlled by central and it's least likely that it'll rise that high. If it reaches $100 that'll be quite impressive but again so many people are holding it for them to push it too $100 and take the loss in fiat. |

I think when it reached around 9k, it was the bottom. now it should go up according to my opinion. In order to move higher it had to shake off and now you'll see more people investing as price crosses $20k and then continues its upward trend. Some predict it'll reach 100k this year and I don't doubt them. |

I also think recent correction phase is giving good chance to buy this token at cheap price. I also picking some token because of hard working team and I believe soon this will be into it's momentum and price will get explode.

Security is week because it is an browser wallet + you have probabbly used windows or mac. Since windows is the msot used OS out there you can get viruses much easier. When I need to use MEW I do so on my live OS linux. Live OS means that you run your OS through USB or CD and your system is only loaded into your RAM. Therefore I always have fresh system that I know for sure there are no viruses of any kind before I even think of exposing my private key.
As others have stated hardware wallet might be your best bet here.
Never use your main computer (or OS) for security related things, spcially if you haven't cleaned your computer for a while, who knows what might be in there.
Hopefully you haven't lost many coins, but avoid to save your private key and to to your computer if you did this. Bascially even when you don't use MEW if you have file stored somewhere on your computer hackers can potentially get to your private keys.
I agree with this. You should always use hardware wallet for maximum security. mew doesn't store your private key, it's said on their website as you have to download it yourself. They have added more sign post ever since people started losing their tokens. Also, make sure you don't use phishing site. check the website address |

Yes and no. I have monitored alts for long enough to know that some of them stay where they are when bitcoin looks shaky. They will lose their price in usd though as we've seen it many times in the past. |

You use coinmarket app, tabtrader on your phone. Set up an account for whatever exchange you use. Make sure you have notification set for your desired price so you don't have to check your phone every second. I prefer long term trading over short term as its more profitable and headache free plus you're supporting whatever token you invest in. Stay far away from pnd. |

on major exchanges yet or the price would have shot up way more.
Binance/Bittrex listing by the end of the month will give this an instant 3-5X, Alibaba partnership as well...I defy someone to show me 5 coins that have accomplished more real world applications and partnerships in their first 30 days on the market. Interesting find. Do you have any link from binance/bittrex to show it'll be listed on those exchange. It looks like they are working hard to turn this into a great project with all those partnership, however, price was at $0.02 only few weeks ago so I'm skeptical on 5x growth in short term. |

that sucks man. Keep your alts/bitcoins spread out on different exchange or better store them in your wallet. I haven't used polo in a very long time. I hope you get it back somehow. While we're at it I would also like to tell people that my alts were gone from hitbtc and they didn't reply to my email afterwards so don't use them either. Luckily it wasn't a big amount so I'm not worried about it.

Nobody could have predicted that kind of growth from RaiBlocks a lot of things went well for that coin. Also the ride isn't over because it now is sitting closer to 150x and could easily go 200x when Binance and Kucoin get added as exchanges.
The real issue I see is maybe some people in crypto are not that fast learners. So Raiblocks started low. Neo started low. Verge started low. People made x50 and more. And now crypto investors go in them?? Why?? The logical conclusion, the common-sense thing to do is now to go in coins still cheap as Oyster Pearl, COlx , Zoin.... And not in those already at $3bn market cap If it follows Neo path there is still money to be made but I agree that people should stick with coin that are at all time low not all time high to save themselves from burn but if you're holding for long run and you like what they do I don't think it matters that much. |

keep some btc on hand if price drops. buy more. hodl again. Day trading can be fun but I do it as a hobby given long term hodl has brought me more profit in btc and in alts.

Good for you. I don't recommend holding for too long it can go down as fast as it went up. Risky investment. I sold mine after it crossed $2, don't plan on going back in.

I have an altcoin that im thinking about selling solely to get some of the forked coin segwit2. From checking online, its around 600 dollars for it. Are people doing this or not? Thus selling their altcoin for btc just so they get more segwit2?
Im thinking what about this. You sell it for btc and you get it. Then after the fork, you immediately buy back the altcoin you had.
Thoughts on this?
nope. I wouldn't sell it. I did it last time and profit was less than what I could've made if had stuck with alts. BCH fork was only decent fork that made me money. |
