Space Jam! With a visual trip... Wow! This is the most unique use-case of a distributed ledger to date....first to market....qora.co.in domains are here! Nice work bass.

Happy Birthday Qora...it has been fun to be part of the community. Hope there are many more years to come

... we need people to switch to v20 before an exact block height
link to v20? I wonder if it's a good idea to write to razakal on linked-in and encourage his return. He's the man, the one and only...qora. I've got nothing but respect for the dev and now with an open face to the token, he could really bring a positive reputation to the community and crypto world...i.e. development, marketing, etc. I just don't understand why he would put himself out there in public now after being so stand off and quiet during the initial release and 1 year of development unless he plans a return to glory.

I hope this means that Qora is returning to continue development.

it has been revealed. Something like "I want to be the baddest" CfB was trying to make a point about decentralized leadership. It was to be used as proof for his point of view in future discussions. It wasn't a petfect experiment as I suspected the excercise wasn't about the hash. Read the full details here, if you wish. https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/do-your-part-'bitcoinpaul'-come-from-beyond/Not sure why it would become irrelevant on the 1st April though. CfB? Thanks for the link... "Decentralized Leadership" - great name for a not-yet-written book.

Come-from-Beyond has an announcement brewing... 1557d4fdfc59fc42f44fb83e6bd65e8fed75dfe8b8dfd4339b597eef657d9b1f I'll reveal the text (its hash is above) after my bitcoinpaul count exceeds applauds. In 21 days it will become irrelevant, so I add a deadline on 1st of April. PS: If those 4 persons who already gave me 4 bitcoinpauls are not satisfied with the altered version of the agreement then they can contact me via PM and I'll refund the bitcoinpauls back to them. Bump

We have first submission for the InstantDEX bounty. this starts the clock, so there is 24hrs for the other submissions https://vid.me/kIcSJames This is really fantastic. Going to change forever crypto exchanges.

I have to wait for someone else's approval before I can release those.
Thanks Vrontis for setting the vote pole. Seems 'yes' is only option imo. Strange that @qora is not coming around. Speculation here but my take is that qora was originally paid by someone or a group to develop qora (as hinted in the above quote) and maybe as part of the deal the investors required his absence after a certain date without releasing part of the code. Again, speculation...anyway, this action requires the community to take up development, which I think will happen. Qora is such an awesome dev, I hate that he is absent. I really hope he comes back, maybe under sockpuppet

Trying to send coins and get Error: Transaction creation failed ...and wallet then freezes. What's up with this? Think I'll have to wait for an updated wallet
|
|
|
Can anyone advise about the wallet on mac...mine is reaaaally slow and tends to continually show the "spinning colored wheel of frozen death". Not sure if I can speed up syncing or clear out some of the thousands of transactions (briefly read someone talking about this but not sure what it means). Thanks

|
|
AT was also being implemented and no word in awhile. Maybe the devs are discouraged at their return compared to when BTC was > $500 USD: I certainly am....confident qora will survive and thrive in time.

Hey guys, my wallet is not syncing. Any ideas: what's the last add node list? Thanks.
It's likely synchronised, when does it say last block was received? The network is painfully slow at the moment which triggers the wallet UI to say it's some hours behind the network, when in fact it's not. You can verify by checking the block height in your client, and comparing to the last block on the explorer. If it is a network sync issue, simply close and reopen your client and it should connect to one of the master seed nodes and resolve the problem. having the same issue Status: 0/unconfirmed Date: 10.01.15 11:41 To: bYfrFVkB8Trk28PQyE7AxHx8jMeTBAXLZe Debit: -1600.00 BTM Net amount: -1600.00 BTM Transaction ID: b4c5098bb6b11630d2058372acf24d14205cd9360396d6917180d4dd7a210cac-000 has not synced for 3 days note the wallet was from 0.9.2 but I used 0.9.3 to send Client just says unconfirmed as do the block explorers. I didnt intentionally set a 0 fee or anything. Nothing urgent, I can wait a week or so and see if it clears itself up On consulting the transaction memory pool I see the following transactions as unconfirmed and waiting to be mined in a block: "0315e56c2d467169607a96162028b943850250a725cac19fce83580bdd193c0b", "04c2a8e22df39099488a66eec9f007879b6e95058c96b634bfa2b3e1d59486b5", "0c68d9ac9b70e04e8cb2fb89724feadad90f4814f96230278b14c14559bb52b0", "0d3a6ba62eceabc77f9960e09332b7709d036f3d58a1b3ce7151ddbaa9f5ce63", "0f1d71a4e5b9f5f6e5565c1179d88c58723b1c865e3f512cbedc7099a063fbc2", "15449acf1bef4ba5e08295ff58552d2a10a0f5ac3f8d61fe768646fdd732a036", "1bcfcff0fca1403d20506663cf76f7f41f3d02ed4393441f302dcaf9cf29b09d", "28b04a2897534d9306323e1df207c19316c5b7646782be142b896ba54170b5de", "56c3f0a4572e197ed4dd5cdcf4e98e0c52b69d0dd2fb10c041ba69c737744a90", "5e9dd4b1ff13ca6a0c26941fff2a55da197374a70d29782f13acd926ec10d8e0", "5fbaa242bc19d211617bb2cd1dafe8b1bfe90d7a60c2aba3419c2d6c73dfa250", "640b83585c4e02a5af3ce69d7eeb006a73ad2eef52aba76ce87a102536ff5197", "6987ebe301f9ecf90659c2a888a1445a51f85f6b5c491ecf6ef785066b5979bd", "755d0a5f3c4d7669cfc6ec7a98fba96b4ba9eec4670fae1cec86412015b09f08", "7852b1d4d7115de45fc785ad56614f6ba72c68ab1775a663165087bef754bfe9", "7b11e37d3b6b61856f731069c9b0727b17830bb53dd3943b4f708742f612ea39", "7d83d743652b1146b27230b166bb01a08b61415393c3ca34bb61f658aafda119", "82fb2be6f0fad3638054756d07d62efe4b2a71f654bda3fec7b7ee3b3da28ec1", "9765e10351144c4f8ffa1b891f837e8280fa90149fa8d07f17afb6bf48fb44a2", "adb83ca666f735673952f498854916712e171ccfe3a274594485c6f7de65a393", "b4c5098bb6b11630d2058372acf24d14205cd9360396d6917180d4dd7a210cac", "c45d5f8ed8c5d3d8f8791506e3a1764b88c5ac7474e51d892428854840c5d3b4", "d08532bbeecc2b1d983d8b98bb418e9def799fd45d2ab48d009b129782ef633d", "d7c508a0cd24364ef55523d8a06465112ae50f43f406cc43c5915b01a22341e4", "e48c62a1f545f87ae59ebf3b5a5b4d39a7a92eb7c9d2b5f43a94d75fcd111e05", "f8ca94c9a12858803fdee389f075fa39c8c5d7c495881a01061b9594f6f2adeb"
These transactions, which include your own melvster, are known by the network, and will be mined in the next block or so, provided that the pools which have miners present have not been configured in such a way as to mine empty blocks. If anybody has trouble getting connections to the network, open a console (help menu in bitmark-qt) and enter addnode bitmark.co onetry 3 days to be confirmed in a block! I thought bitcoin took a long time. Anyway, in regards to syncing...the block explorer does not show any blocks (basically the one from the OP is not working for me: http://bitmark.co:3000/) so I can not check to see if my client block height matches. Been stuck on block 46439 for days. The add node code is not help either. What is the last network block?

Well, I finally decided to download the Qora wallet to transfer my coins from Poloniex to my computer. I've unzipped it but I'm not sure which file I need to open to run the wallet? Do I click on Qora.jar (executable jar file) or run.bat (MS-DOS batch file)? I can't find a readme file anywhere.
If you are on Windows then the run.bat will launch the wallet. If you are on Linux/MAC then use the run.sh Thanks, that seems to do the trick. Anyone else checked the block explorer recently? According to the site, the last 20+ blocks were all forged by the same address which holds almost 2 billion QORA: http://qora.co.in/?q=QXNz5kBknsgNYtRKit4jCDNVm7YYoXLZdBEDIT: Looking even more back, I can see a few other addresses that also generated blocks. Perhaps it belongs to an exchange or something (Bter?). Also Poloniex seems to be having some troubles with their Qora wallet. I made a withdrawal and the confirmation email came but after that it came up as "ERROR" so I submitted a support ticket. Apparently others have also been having similar problems too. EDIT 2: OK, so I have the wallet in front of me. Where is the button to start staking/forging? Yes, QXNz5kBknsgNYtRKit4jCDNVm7YYoXLZdB is a Bter address...would be ideal if they split it up into a few staking addresses or not stake at all. To stake, just unlock the wallet once it is up to date and "Oke". You can then lock it back and it will stake.

No word lately from BTCD-dev or James on latest developments. None-the-less, I'm hodling strong and buy more from these dumpers. I suspect the bots will turn soon and take the price back to .005 at least (hoping anyway).

NXT is pretty much the only game in town at this point. Do you even hodl supernet bro?
Nxt is dying though.... They have dropped from 5 to 8 and will soon drop to 9 when ethereum launches on coinmarketcap. Dying? NXT as a POS platform sets a broad foundation for growth in many areas of finance, internet security and tech advancement, having numerous developments and features stemming from and utilizing at least in-part consensus from the NXT blockchain (asset exchange, monetary system, freemarket, phasing, supernet, NXTinside, to name a few). http://www.nxttechnologytree.com/ The CMC of NXT is not the end target to measure "death" as you so easily propose. Utilization of products and features via a stable and low cost fuel (NXT) is how NXT will thrive and expand its user-base. Side note: assets from the NXT AE are little nuggets that allow one to increase crypto holding and position (completely under-utilized atm)

Kushti: great to see you having a go at Scala-integrated Qora (and smoothing out a bug along the way). This is awesome to see other skilled devs improving Qora. Hope that you stick around and continue helping a bit!
