201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Greece's first Bitcoin ATM installed on: June 30, 2015, 06:29:47 AM
One more good news for bitcoin.  Grin
But it looks like atm for bitcoin is not needed for now in Greece.  Cool
Because Now Greece is experiencing economic crisis.  Smiley

It is needed as in Greece with the ATMs and economy collapsing, they also don't have access online payment systems and will have trouble buying bitcoin if they wish to do so. With ATM's I think they can just convert all their cash and fiat into bitcoins straightaway .

Has there been any statistics on how was the response at the ATM over the last week ? Certainly should have grown.
202  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do Any Knows About Bitbays.com on: June 30, 2015, 06:27:35 AM
I'm trying to figure out how much to trust them. Have you used them before or heard about them ? I'm hesitant because I've never seen anyone post or talk about them at all. Thanks for the input. Any info on the arbitrage fund ? seems really high, returning 10%, but having bitcoins sitting on coinbase earns nothing. could be compelling if its worth the risk. Any thoughts ?

Thanks

I would suggest going to a reputed exchange rather than a site which has no presence online. I haven't heard of it either and its best to stick to a reputed one instead of trying out something new.
Looks like its a coming up site. They also have this moto on their site : "Trade all day. Earn interest all night.
" . Are they offering interest on bitcoins ?
203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 30, 2015, 06:24:43 AM
Wow... I got myself a lucky entry into the market today...

didn't even know it.

I'm still jealous of Litecoin though.... my god... 25% in one day... (again)  I need to start looking at Litecoin charts.

its actually roughly around 40% in one day. Looks like the Greek are buying litecoin and hoping to have it become its currency.

Only 4k on Finex to $300.

Wow, thats not much resistance. Lets hope we get there by weekend.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Monday bulls on: June 30, 2015, 06:23:17 AM
No better time to spring back from the down-trend overshoot. Wish I was selling bitcoin for cash in Greece right now!

You better be buying bitcoin right now, looking at the trend. You should still do that . I doubt we will see the lower numbers anytime soon after Today. After Greece the rest of the world has started realizing the potential and is buying in as well. Its only a matter of time a similar thing happens in another country and we will see a rise in bitcoin adoption across the world.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Forget the Greeks... on: June 30, 2015, 06:21:19 AM
I doubt this whole thing is due to the greeks, its probably just the world realizing the potential of bitcoin. We just had a massive liftoff and now at at 267 USD/BTC : )
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2015, 10:16:59 AM
Free diff altcoins giveaway @ Yobit now.

I will save those coins hoping that will increase its price someday. Hoping this method will my bitcoin grow.
You better do something in your real life as relying on simply that to grow your money isn't the best way. There are other ways to earn money than giveaways on a site. I grow using my skills from my daily job to help sites and accept payment in bitcoins.
207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin To Cash Rate? on: June 26, 2015, 09:52:24 AM
It all depends on the buyer and the amount. But its generally around 5-10% more depending on the location of the buyer and the amount he is buying. Most people do atleast 200$ for btc to cash.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminals/thieves/hackers who have been tracked via the blockchain? on: June 26, 2015, 09:37:26 AM
The law enforcements probably don't care about individuals who buy drugs on the marketplace. They mostly go after the big sharks who use services like Coinbase for their transactions. As for anyone else getting tracked, just recently the hacker of Bitdice had their money frozen after the exchange realized it was the hacked coins that were transferred to the account.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ready to take off!!! on: June 26, 2015, 09:35:14 AM
Despite all these speculations I am happy for bitcoin to remain stable, but a fall is what disheartens me. Hopefully if not a big jump, but a stable month is what we see, it would be the best month for bitcoin.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people are using Bitcoin debit card? on: June 24, 2015, 12:51:46 PM
Unless bitcoins are widely accepted by lot of merchants, the popularity of these cards will remain less for now. Its a good concept , but only after adoption it will become popular.
211  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 3D printed miner on: June 24, 2015, 12:50:32 PM
It is extremely hard to 3D print ASIC chips  . You might be able to print out the supporting rails , but the electrical part will not be efficiently printed in any manner. However you could get CAD designs of the electrical circuitry and could have it assembled in a local hardware place that offers such service.
212  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Service for running your own casino on: June 24, 2015, 12:49:54 PM
If I play on a site like Primedice, then visiting a clone with the same script and design just with a different domain name and owner isn't any fun. I would still stick to the original for playing. You might still be able to sell like people sell coindice clones but it wouldn't be popular for long.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Didn't Satoshi Think About Instant Transactions? on: June 24, 2015, 12:45:27 PM
The problem is that confirmations cant be instant, thats basic, it need some times to the network to confirm it, i think he mean that satoshis should think on a faster way.

btw we can always think on a better/faster way to made it yes?
SInce there exists payments systems like Ripple, there wasn't anything that would stop it from being confirmed immediately. It definitely could have been implemented.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Didn't Satoshi Think About Instant Transactions? on: June 24, 2015, 06:53:59 AM
What is the need for instant confirmations ? Once a transaction is sent doesn't it get confirmed after sometime, so how does it matter ? We just have to wait for one confirmation while trading to avoid double spends. In rest of the cases its hardly a worry.
215  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Website on: June 24, 2015, 06:37:16 AM
Gave you the most profit: Primedice
Has good user interface: rollin.io
One you visit most often: Primedice

216  Economy / Economics / Re: Please tell me if we have more stability because of shorting on: June 24, 2015, 06:32:18 AM
Shorting helps stabilize the market by making bitcoins available for buyers to buy.
How would that be ? Aren't there more people selling bitcoins than the number of people buying it ?
And wouldn't selling create a selling pressur thus driving price down ?
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Debit Cards: A Real Alternative? on: June 23, 2015, 12:47:15 PM
Not everyone cares about anonominity.

Still, the whole idea of crypto includes anonimity, right?

Not really. its just a side advantage. The whole idea behind crypto is speed / almost no fees / decentralization and Transparency. Anonymity is just another advantage.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will banks using bloackchain affect Bitcoin price? on: June 23, 2015, 12:46:22 PM
I think yes it will affect bitcoin price. Blockchain is one of the biggest advantage for bitcoin and its use. Giving other forms of currency or digital money this ability , will definitely affect bitcoin. But one thing to note is that those currencies won't be as transparent as bitcoin so bitcoin will still be a better option versus them.
219  Economy / Economics / Re: A currency or investment? on: June 23, 2015, 12:44:29 PM
Bitcoin is designed to be used as a Currency, but it is being used as an investment. Unless more and more people start using it, it will remain as an investment.
220  Economy / Gambling / Re: girlbtc.com™ || onevsone || elephant v.s. tiger v.s. mouse || check your luck on: June 23, 2015, 12:43:24 PM
Ok but instead why not just implement this feature within the site itself so its convenient for people to just cancel it , instead of sending a PM to you to have it cancelled or fee refunded.

because there is stock invented,  http://www.girlbtc.com/trade/stock  it is real time and count your percent according to your onevsone's opentime.

if I implement this feature within the site, and when you cancel it , the wager and % will change, that will make a lot of people confused.

so the solution is

if you opened a big onevsone game (more than 0.1btc) and after some hours there is no challenger  ,you want to cancel it .

you challenge yourself to cancel it.   so there is a fee charged 0.1btc*1%=0.001btc.

Reply this thread  or comment on http://girlbtc.com/comment/  with your  onevsone id,

and I will check and give your fee back to your girlbtc account.
Smiley

-snip-

Ok Sounds fine for now. Fees isn't too high anyways unless we bet big. But yes adding the cancel is better, I doubt it will be much confusing for anyone.
