201  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: October 22, 2019, 09:57:38 AM
Libra is a centralised cryptocurrency just like ripple, somehow it can disrupt the financial system because of their big influence in the social media world by Facebook. They have a lot of criticism specially from the government because of their previous controversies including the data leak or mishandling the users data. I doubt the adoption of this coin will be as healthy as Bitcoin and other crypto.

As you see, the Libra Association has problems already, and this centralized coin might not be launched soon (hope, it will happen, however). Some governments really think seriously that Facebook crypto can if not ruin, then weaken their national currencies. Many people are waiting for the best stable alternative to fiat, and Libra can become it. Once again — IF FB is let to work on this project further.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt coins price at bull run on: October 22, 2019, 08:51:29 AM
Ethereum at $1000 or any amount is possible but the question is about the timeline of when this real Bullish market will going to happen. Investors in crypto are starting to diminished because most of them are tired of waiting of when this bullish market will going to come so they start living crypto environment for good.

I wish the bull run 2017 would repeat, but we do not have many chances. That Moonrise of the market resembles an organized hype wave to attract more investors and arise interest in cryptocurrencies. If I am right, the strategy worked greatly, so that, guys rushed to invest in crypto. Many of them overvalued the real price of alts and lost a lot. Suppose, alts will go up, but slowly.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are u buying alts? on: October 20, 2019, 07:33:23 PM
of course I still buy some Altcoin at this time for the long term time, even though I currently buy Altcoin at a time when market conditions are still unstable but I still believe that there will be a big pump in the coming year. so how about you?

Yes, sure - the prices are down and there is a time to invest in altcoins. Not all,  for sure. Looking forward, there is much sense to invest in Ether as Ethereum 2.0 is coming. I would also remind you about Bitcoin Cash, which was criticized much. It has many reasons to gain again and very soon. However, the main cryptocurrency we have to try to concentrate on is undoubtedly Bitcoin.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Fastest growing coin? And biggest up ward movement on: October 20, 2019, 07:26:29 PM
Fastest growing coin?

What will be?

What it was this year?

Im talking about only coins wich are all ready listed on Exchangers with decent volume!

You can check this information (it is updated constantly) on CoinMarketCap. There is a list of Gainers and Losers there.  You can find it when clocking the “Rankings” tab. Axe, although it is not in the gaining leaders, is constantly showing the “up” trend. Probably, it is worth paying attention to the token.  EDUCare and Swipe are also running to the hill. KuCoin can be added to the potential gainers although it lost a lot in October. I am waiting for ETH to grow, but as we can guess, it will not happen earlier than 2020.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin will to the moon? Trust me!! invest now before you regret it. on: October 20, 2019, 07:22:45 PM
I really hope so, because I like Litecoin pretty much. This is one of the first altcoins that was ever created and it is still alive. Furthermore, LTC is very oversold and is worth much more than 60 bucks.

Litecoin has lost a lot since December 2019 when it was over 375 USD for a token.  The market capitalization is not growing as it was predicted on the eve of its halving this year. I bet it will stay in top10 cryptocurrencies, but probably, LTC is more interesting for miners (despite the fact, the fees for them were cut recently). However, holing Litecoin for at least 2-3 years, you can expect at least 200% profit (naturally, this is an approximate stuff).
206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 9 Best Decentralized Exchanges which You Can Use To Trade on: October 19, 2019, 05:40:37 PM
I have not actively used a decentralized exchange for a while and I'm unfamiliar with most of the websites in the list. I used to use IDEX, DDEX, IDAX and forkdelta regularly and barring the inconveniences I found then secure.

The best way to protect your assets is to not store them on an address you do not control, only have them on an exchange when you're actively trading. It's almost impossible to avoid centralized exchanges, especially when you're looking for liquidity.

The main attraction of decentralizes exchanges is the safety of your money and reliability. Unfortunately, the number is these exchanges is still low, and they do not have such convenience and functionality as their centralized “brothers”.  Nevertheless, when you send your money using centralized ones, you will never get it back if something is going wrong. Dex will never freeze your money. For me, DEEX is a very good decentralized exchange. It also has other solutions for users like crypto games.
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC- When it back to 20k on: October 19, 2019, 05:30:37 PM
Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks

We cannot here tell fortune. Simply look back at all these predictions. In 99.99% of cases, they did not simply come true. Even TA is useless in everything which refers to the cryptocurrency. There are too many things that affect it, and not only demand and supply. Here is the policy (of 1 country or global), crisis, even the elections of a new president in a separately taken country. Meanwhile, it is evident that Bitcoin will be gaining. In 5-6 years it will cost times more than now.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Money Losing Worth, Bitcoin and Gold Getting Important on: October 19, 2019, 04:46:52 PM
With all its advantages like high speed, cheap transactions, possibility to be used in any place in the world, cryptocurrency cannot even compete with fiat (now, I mean). Leave any guy in any (!) faraway place with no Internet and even no good phone connection, give him virtual access to his BTC, and he will not know what to do with it. With the dollar, he can at least make a natural exchange, for food or whatnot. However, I wish everything would be different. Crypto must at least partly replace traditional money.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think XRP will start to the moon? on: October 18, 2019, 07:36:04 PM
XRP is really attract many countries and banking technology is always stay in forever. But pump and dump is hard to predict on any platform, So still it is not going to moon and it take some time.
Most of the time XRP was cross the ETH marketcap but it is stay in backward only so we never predict the upcoming moon, Traders are never consider the any situation so XRP will raise slowly on future.

XRP market capitalization is falling and it affects the price of this currency. October and November were always very difficult months for Ripple. You can check it even on CoinMarketCap (graphs). However, last time when XRP fell critically in 2017, the fastest and highest Moonrise started. Probably, something like that will be repeated in 2019. Although I am not a fan of XRP, Ripple is supported greatly, and recently, it invested in the largest Mexican exchange.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My list of 5 Sleeping Giants of 2020 :) on: October 18, 2019, 07:31:58 PM
From your list i would choose bnb and ada, no doubt ada is a real seeping giant and its profit potential is huge while bnb although good longterm but i would not call it sleeping because it has already gained good value even in otherwise bearish market, im sure it still has good potential to grow bit i think it is still not cheap and its value is good.

I doubt that the ADA is sleeping. Cardano might be not as popular as it used to be, but there are still many changes for the better there. Crypto enthusiasts believe that it can reach 10 cents for 1 token this year. They are sure that it will overtake Ethereum by market capitalization due to its speed and cheap transactions. As for Binance Coin, it might not grow – just stay a convenient tool for the Binance platform.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will XRP Claim the #2 Position? on: October 18, 2019, 07:28:27 PM
There is a high chance for XRP to do it, it happened before and there is no reason for XRP to not doing it especially XRP is good at making a move when the market is unpredictable.
if ETH remains the same and nothing major happen with our crypto sphere, It is very likely for XRP to take ETH place before ETH makes an update.
there is a time before ETH making the major update on their system and will likely push the price up. before this happens, XRP has a huge chance to replace it for a moment.

These places depend on market capitalization, and they do not really show the "public" popularity of the crypto. Ripple managed to be the second one on the list, but it did not last long. Now, there is a great probability that this currency market price will go down slightly - the information appeared: Ripple CTO David Schwartz sells his XRP coins actively, so it might be also not the best sign.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coins should i buy? on: October 17, 2019, 08:09:23 AM
I have some altcoins from early 2017 and some BTC and ETH too. I am thinking about investing some more but don't really know what i should be looking into.

Below is my list of coins.

BTC, ETH, NEO, ADA, LSK, LTC, Stratis, Waves, ARK, SHIFT, Pivx, VTC, GRS, Powr, Tenx

When i bought in early 2017, Statis, Waves, Ark and ADA was popular, how are these coins today?

I am not interested in low market/very new coins.

Thanks!

Some new coins MIGHT grow, but where is a guarantee for it? I would recommend you to use a more conservative approach and really invest in altcoins that have proved their reliability. Bet on Ethereum - After Ethereum 2.0 is launched, it will go up as more people will understand the pluses of the platform. Invest in Bitcoin as the leader of the market, and finally, you'll understand that you have taken the right decision.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is Facebook coin going on: October 17, 2019, 08:02:46 AM
It will be dead soon before they launch, or will not even launch perhaps. Besides, the US government is very skeptical about them.

Seriously, it doesn't matter to me launching the project in the mainstream, even, it helps of BTC/crypto awareness to their billion users.
And might affect the price in some ways even people say that there's no connection between libra to BTC, only if libra survives, which I doubt.

The news about Libra does not seem to be very optimistic. Too many companies, including PayPal, Visa, and MasterCard have refused to cooperate with the Libra Association. Now, it can deal only with non-profit organizations and cryptocurrency companies. To launch Libra, Facebook will have to review its original plan, otherwise, the company will continue to face resistance from regulators.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currencies on: October 17, 2019, 07:59:17 AM
Some say that dollar is weak and getting weaker.

But dollar is still strongest currency.

Look at the stable coins like : pax, usdc, usdt true usd and more...  They are pegged with usd.
But how many stable coins are for euro or other currencies?

As people spreading rumours that dollar will  collapse and losing dominance, i see different.

My main question is what makes usd so dominant?

And why the euro value is higher then usd but USA dollar is still dominant, do you think that usd will be replaced by euro?

What's Ur take on that?
US dollar is a universal currency that's why it's dominance is seemingly irreplaceable and cannot be easily overthrown by any currency. Unlike other currencies, no matter where you go across the world, you can still use a dollar to buy you just need to go to banks and do an exchange for their local money because of United States' relationship with other countries, it makes USD universal and versatile that it still have value no matter the place.

We live in a centralized society, where we all depend on the government and national currency or dollar (as you say, the "universal" money). Therefore USD in great demand, and still, cryptocurrency, even the best-trusted like Bitcoin, cannot compete with a dollar. It might go up or down, but it will always dominate our life, even if we agree that crypto is the way to live better.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam? What to do next. on: October 17, 2019, 07:55:38 AM
A common investment scam and that happens all the time and those newbie investors are the ones who are falling into this kind of trap.

First of all, there is no guarantee in investment (my first rule). Even in other investments, there are no guarantees so if you saw the word guaranteed profit the best thing to do is to stay away from the investment because it will end up as a scam.

Some scammers' strategy is that they will put in your dashboard an amount which is twice the money you invested but in reality, you can't withdraw it because in order to withdraw it you must invest a certain amount. Best thing to do to prevent being scammed is either you learn how scammers scam people or just don't invest at all.
I agree. That is just a bait. There is no investment that will double over night so go away from that and do not believe because if you do you gonna end up of losing than gaining from it. Very few can be trusted but other just copying the project with bad intentions. Beware where you are going to take your investments.
I can’t believe that there are so many people in the cryptocurrency space who believe in easy and quick money making in this market. We must understand that the rate of return on the cryptocurrency market also exists. I think that this rate of return is not more than 30% per year.

In 2017 it was possible to make 1000% profit, but it was just the rule exception. I suppose a similar situation will be not repeated, so, when you see that someone promises you the greatest income in the shortest time, it is a scam. As for me, it is much better to work with Bitcoin and trusted altcoins that have proved their reliability. You might not make fast money, but you will not lose everything.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: China launching its own crypto currency ? on: October 14, 2019, 08:52:12 PM
China is one of the most centralized countries in the world, it is obvious that their cryptocurrency will not differ much from Libra, and will provide a full range of identification services for its users.  Grin
First of all, it will be used as an additional means of control. I do not think that this will somehow negatively affect the market.

It does not matter; it is a breakthrough. Alibaba will be the first to use it (and it is like eBay in China and for some countries also). It was announced that their altcoin will be launched close to November 11. That is the date associated with the Day of Bachelor - mass sales are held, and it is supposed that this fact will attract millions (do not forget about the number of Chinese) to the new cryptocurrency.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holding will be worth this year or in the long run? on: October 14, 2019, 08:48:22 PM
Looking at the patterns at which the market value of Bitcoin throughout the beginning of 2019 till now, the market price of Bitcoin might be very worth holding till the end of this year. Based on my observations and analysis, it is quite possible for the market value of Bitcoin to hit $15k before the year 2019 comes to an end. This makes bitcoin worth holding till the year comes to an end.

Those, who follow John McAfee with his predictions, will never sell Bitcoin. Although it is more than evident that (at least in the nearest 10 years) we will not see Bitcoin for a million or even 500K, it makes sense to hold it longer. BTC will be only gaining; the speed of its rise cannot be predicted 9as well as the ups and downs during this process), but the result will be a BTC Moonrise.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC To 100K$ by 2025 on: October 14, 2019, 08:46:07 PM
My research show BTC can hit 100K$ by 2025, What I noticed is Most people sell Their Bitcoin for 10$ Profit, they dont hold btc and they sell it for 10$ or 20$ profit, these people will never get rich.

Where di you get this information about 10-20 dollars profit for most investors? It depends on a person, and if you invest in Bitcoin 10 thousand, for instance, you will never sell BTC to get back your 10K+10USD. If you invest in BTC a dollar (let us say it), then 10 USD profit will be cool. In this case, why not take it and buy more cryptocurrency. Everything here is individual, and we cannot judge all using the same rules and aspects.
219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading fees really matter ? on: October 13, 2019, 06:59:56 PM
Most of the exchanges have a minimal trading fees of about 0.25%
I see many people discussing trading fees here and there and that how high the trading fees is.
Does 0.25% really make a huge difference if you are earning at least more than 2% ?

Yes, it matters. If you are a day trader, you are supposed to make a LOT of exchange operations during a day. Each time, you will pay a fee for this stuff. The more you work on a day-trading basis, the more you pay. Cryptocurrencies transactions might be free (in some cases,  for several tokens), but exchanges, when you trade, moreover, actively, always need their profit, so you pay.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think of ETH Price will be by end of 2020? on: October 13, 2019, 06:54:40 PM
would it be more better if we will only talk about more on the current year than jumping next year  ? we arent even close to the end of the year ( this current year )  .  the price of eth is stable and can be easily predictable imo   . i believe eth will recover and will become close to its recent ath  but im not really sure if eth can maintain that after we enter the first month of the year 2020   .  just like last 2017 , the price of eth is doing better but it unexpectedlly dump at the first quarter of the year 2018   .  history can repeat itself but lets not hope it does not   .

We are all waiting for Ethereum 2.0, which should appear as a result of the network update around January 2020. Ethereum 2.0 is an entire global computer, that is, Ether should become a decentralized blockchain platform that supports 1000 transactions per second, and their processing will be very cheap, that is, the commission will be even less than now and will not require huge costs for electricity, as it happens now during such a mining algorithm as Proof of Work. So, ETH's price might grow well close to the end of 2019. As for 2020, it is early to come to conclusions.
