202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchange and wallet to use? on: August 08, 2017, 10:42:47 AM
Hi, newbie here and I'd really appreciate any answers.

I've been reading like mad and just have some fundamental questions:
1) What exchange do you use? On that exchange, do you buy with market or limit orders?
2) What wallet do you use? I am interested in a paper wallet that can hold multiple kinds of coins, not just bitcoin.

And I think that's about it. Thanks!

What exchange do you use? On that exchange, do you buy with market or limit orders?
I almost used all exchange, depend on coin to buy or sell . Usually i i buy with limit order.

What wallet do i used?
To store my coin as digital asset i used hardware wallet rather than paper wallet or web wallet

205  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Yobit.net Investment Good or Scam? on: August 07, 2017, 04:20:36 AM
Well, let me put it this way.

0.2% per day is 73% in a year before compounding.  No traditional investment will promise to give you a specific amount ever unless they are a scam.  In cryptocurrency where the market is volatile, they are certainly a scam.

Now consider compounding.  Your 5 BTC will not be worth 73% more than you put in after a year because it will compound each day.  This means that in a year you will have 10.35 BTC, in two years you will have 21.46 BTC, and so on.  If you were to leave your BTC in there for 20 years (figure out how to calculate compound interest), you would have 10,776,294 BTC, more than half of the amount that could EVER be created.

Does that sound like a safe investment to you?  All the information that they give about it is that all that money comes from a "special fund".

When i closed investment, i got all of my coin and and also with interest. So far it still interesting and safe
It might pay you.  It might pay you for quite a while.  But sooner or later, it will steal everyone's money.

This is the comment summarizing all the truth behind it. I was gonna write the same things. You cannot trust a exchanger to get btc interest. Soon or late, they will face problem to make your payouts. Stay away from this type of things.

Agree with all of you, this is something weird. I dont know how they generate income to pay investor, they only told us that they have special cost.

Even they have special cost, they got from dice, transaction fee, or etc. I also tried to make new doge investment plan and got warning "Doge coin must be equal with 5 btc" which mean investor planer very possible wont get ROI.  So be carefull with this, i'm just worry if someday you can not withdraw btc from yobit
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is mining? on: August 04, 2017, 08:16:04 PM
Quote
Bitcoin mining is the process of adding transaction records to Bitcoin's public ledger of past transactions. This ledger of past transactions is called the block chain as it is a chain of blocks. The block chain serves to confirm transactions to the rest of the network as having taken place.

Mining will give you reward for confirm new transaction and amount of reward depend on coin it self. Mining method have 2 Type, proof of work and proof of stake

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: August 03, 2017, 11:55:22 AM
I bought 200 waves when it hit 200k price , i guest waves will hit more than 230k sathosi few weeks ago but now its between 100k-140k. Bit regret bought them at high price Lips sealed, all i can do for now just sitting and hope price getting back to 200k sat. at current rate what's your opinion if i buy more waves now? I still really doubt about this

What do you mean hit 200k price?  How much usd is that?

He mean 200,000 satoshi it happened month ago. Poor bro, it's not safe to buy wavesat 130k sathoshi you should buy more waves at 90K sat-100k sat and then invest your waves at yobit to wait pump moment. But i wouldn't recommend you to invest in yobit, but if you like risk you can try at your own risk
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ICO]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: August 01, 2017, 11:12:03 AM
How did you know the extra bonus will be distributed to all the investors? They haven't provided any detail about it.

https://medium.com/@encryptotel/weekly-update-b45e530082e5
Posted on 5th of July

"Bonus
The bonus promised to the EncryptoTel community will be distributed after the buy-wall has run it’s course. We are still finalizing the mechanics of it. We plan to distribute 1% extra from our team reserves as our apology for the long distribution. Full details will be released in the next two weeks."

I guess they are saying that they add 1% bonus to everyone, correct? Update promised in "next 2 weeks": 5 of July + 2 weeks = 19th of July.

I'd like to hear an update about when will they burn ETT coins from buywall purchases.

I don't want any harm for the project, I just want everyone to see if devs continue to brake their promises or not.

I saw on tidex and c-cex  exchange price is high but no buy support, most of them buy support below 1500 sathoshi and only for small amount ett. I'm still waiting their voip platform for public release.

There is ziber ico which have same concept with encryptotel, i used their desktop applicatoin and working great, i hope i can use encryptotel soon. however i still believe on them, as long as they can deliver their promise this coin will have good price.
210  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 31, 2017, 11:20:11 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

In my opinion,  you don’t need to stop working because you still need a stable income to finance your life in the real world, you can focus on finding bitcoin but just suppose that bitcoin is just to supplement your income in the real world.
If I were you I would not stop working because on the other hand I need the cost for food and daily necessities. Bitcoin does look quite or even very promising but bitcoin also has a high enough risk considering the rapidly changing prices.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: July 31, 2017, 07:10:07 AM
Hello Dev ,

Are some features coming for this coin like masternode ?

I guest dev wont give us masternode features because of total coin supply is too much and price is cheap

I <3 bytecoin.  Mainly because I can mine it on my phone while I sleep.
Would be nice to see some new developments happening.

What, mining using phone? how much you earn bytecoin in one night? Mining on phone will harm your phone, its better to mine bytecoin from computer and you also will earn higher coin from computer
212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 10:57:17 AM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.
I think it's not too late if you want to buy bitcoin and if you want to buy bitcoin and if you want to wait bitcoin and if you want to wait until August 1st you can see bitcoin sale value there is an increase or even decrease, if On 1st August bitcoin prices will drop Please buy bitcoin and hold Over the next 5 years maybe bitcoin you buy on August 1 later in the next 5 years there is an increase in the selling price and can be a boon for you.
umpteen suggestion from me may be useful to you

Crowdfund Insider: What types of fraud have you seen in the ICO market?

Sauter & McGill:  The GAW Miners case is an obvious example of what can go wrong when new tokens are used to hide a flawed business model [the SEC ordered $10,384,099 in disgorgement and prejudgment interest and each entity was required to pay a civil penalty of $1,000,000. Both GAW Miners and ZenMiner have ceased their former business operations].

That’s an extreme case, but it shows what SEC and private litigation can look like when things go wrong. If ICOs are ultimately deemed subject to the securities laws, the fraud cases of the future will hinge on whether regulators and private plaintiffs are able to portray disclosures made in connection with ICOs as involving material misrepresentations or omissions.

would be nice for them to include how much of that 12 million that was ordered to be paid was actually paid
I spoke to one of SEC attorneys a while back and she said there was $0.  I didn't get into specifics but I assume she meant that GAW and Zenminers had $0.  I honestly don't know how it is possible that Homero has $0.  He did hire a fairly expensive attorney afterall.

I know it was 0, that article should mention it. It's a lot easier to just not give your money to a scumbag than to give it to one and hope that someone will get it back for them

He has been making promises of full reimbursement for some time, will he do another ICO and our tokens will worth something again? Cheesy

With this market I wouldn't be much surprised if it actually happens.

He should open some casino or exchange and give us a proceed until payback. Would benefit all parties.

As from March 18th, Brewster, an active user of social media with daily presence for months, goes completely silent and absent from Reddit, Bitcointalk, Facebook and Twitter.

19th March: The next day Brewster shocks the management team by telling them that the 5,000 BTC have…..overnight become only 140! "Actually I thought we had 5,000, but I have checked the wallet and the coins are not there, I spent them somewhere but I don't remember on what.......we have only 140 coins left. I am going to the UK to find investors. I will send you the 140 coins left and also sell my Mercedes and Bentley and will send you the money to pay the March salaries and the creditors".

Well that's horrible. Don't think we will ever learn what he did with the 5K BTC. Perhaps lost in MtGox, and that's the 'assets' we're waiting for right now.

People shouldn't be stupid enough to trust a casino run by him, but, you never know.
216  Economy / Securities / Re: Neo & Bee talk (spam free thread) on: June 02, 2017, 03:32:21 AM
Any news from Danny?

I saw an article last year that said he intended to pay his creditors back. I spent 100 BTC on NeoBee shares, which I actually still hold.

Anyone been in contact with him?

He said on the mtgox insolvency reddit he is giving an interview shortly where things stand.

Just like when he wrote everything up in april        2016, and didn't answer for anything.

I was thinking of him lately wondering if he was still at it..
Knowing he was but, maybe just hiding / laying low.
So i came and i LOL'd ..thanks for the Fodor updates guys.

Some of these clowns may be worth having around for amusements sake.

And he lost that much BTC ?
Or is that a figure (in fairness to him) that included other users funds pulled out ?

And what of Michael Wilterdink ? (Terrik) Chairman of Stakeminers i believe.

Lost them exactly how we told them he would. turned them into POS coins (both acronyms apply) and watched the price of btc go up while no one cared about ratecoin or any of the other useless coins he was staking.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ION [ION] | POS 3.0 | Mobile Gaming | Join the ionomy today! on: May 17, 2017, 02:28:27 AM

Well, it looks like shark did too good a job convincing other suckers investors to start masternodes, so it became harder for them to generate rewards.

Good news for MN owners, the Ionomy LTD is shutting down the MNs that were being used to support the 12 month XPY Stakers The "harder to generate reward" is due to current decrease in the ION block reward (as per schedule of the white paper). I expect the number of MNs to increase as the coin migrates from staker to Masternodes...

How much ION do you need for a masternode? Huh

20K IONs

Increase in masternodes is bad for other masternode owners because the more masternodes there are, the more people competing for that share of the reward.

Unless, of course, the goal of your shilling is to get people to buy the 20k ion you have in your masternode, then it is a great thing for new people to be in the market for 20k ions.

Satoshis aren't dead. You use the USD value cause it make the coin look like it rose in value significantly. If you would show the price in satoshis, you would realize that the value of the coin didn't change since the IOC purchases with BTC. Again, paycoiner logic at its finest. Use whatever data paints the prettiest picture.

I'll roll with USD until you tell me what this Satoshis plot represents. "the value of the coin didn't change Huh lol

With out additional info, you can not tell me the price of ION using just this chart...

I can tell you that using btc to buy ion in the middle of april was a stupid idea because you would have more btc and/or USD if you did not do that.

Only looking at that chart with no axis labeled.
