201  Other / MultiBit / Re: I no longer support Multibit HD :( on: March 17, 2017, 09:50:04 PM
Not that I am aware of.
202  Other / MultiBit / I no longer support Multibit HD :( on: March 17, 2017, 09:40:24 PM
After a love / hate relationship with Multibit  / Multibit HD over the last couple of years I have finally made the switch to Electrum.
There is so much to love about Multibit but I hate the unconfirmed transactions. I am constantly repairing the wallet but more often than not it doesn't work.
Usually the problem sorts itself out in time but I can't deal with a wallet that is so reliable so for now I am using Electrum until the developers make some changes.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Help me move my small amount of Ether to another wallet.. on: March 15, 2017, 04:45:01 PM
Hi guys,

I have just been learning about Ether so decided to buy some. I transferred the Ether into my newly installed Ethereum Wallet not realising I was going to have to have to download the whole blockchain and wait a week for it to do so all the while slowing my laptop to a crawl.
Anyway, this reminded me of Bitcoin Core before I found out about Multibit etc.

I decided to look for a lightweight wallet and decided on MyEtherWallet which seems simple enough and safe. I would now like to move the Ether that I sent to Ethereum Wallet but it's not showing yet. It's only on about 17% and I have been waiting 3 days.

How can I abandon the Ethereum Wallet and recover the sent Ether to a different wallet?
204  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit HD - Unconfirmed Transactions on: December 05, 2016, 09:19:59 PM
Pretty sure it's a bug. Think Multibit has a problem connecting to the blockchain or whatever.
Didn't really want to switch wallets as I love the UI but obviously if it don't work it's no good and this is the second comment I have seen advising to switch so I might try electrum if I can get it working again.

Edit: I have repaired the wallet again and now it's showing the balance correctly. Please can one of the keepkey guys get this bug fixed or I'm gonna have to switch wallets.
It seems a lot of other people are also having the same issues.
205  Other / MultiBit / Re: My Balance is suddenly Unconfirmed? on: December 05, 2016, 09:16:47 PM
I have been having the same issue for a week or so now.
I repaired the wallet and it was ok for a day but then the balance went unconfirmed again.
206  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit HD - Unconfirmed Transactions on: December 03, 2016, 12:22:54 AM
Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, the balance actually shows BTC0.00 now + unconfirmed BTC2.71

As for the payments tab.
The last transactions are from 23 Nov and prior to that 9th Sept.

The transaction overview says Status: Unknown transaction status.
207  Other / MultiBit / Multibit HD - Unconfirmed Transactions on: November 29, 2016, 02:25:13 PM
Why does my Multibit HD bitcoin wallet never show me my full balance after I login.

Currently it's showing BTC0.02 with BTC2.68 unconfirmed.

I know the 0.02 is a withdrawal from changetip and it's the second time the balance was unconfirmed. Last time I repaired the wallet and it was fine but I don't really want to have to do this everytime I check funds or attempt to spend.

What is causing this and how do I resolve it permanently?
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / WTF Copied Users Appdata Folder to a new PC and a New Install of Multibit HD... on: September 09, 2016, 02:54:06 PM
and it still showed my bitcoins.

I was expecting to have to send the coins from my old pc to my new pc but nope, they were there exactly the same on both PC's at the same time.

Well.. I wonder what my seed belongs to then..

210  Other / MultiBit / How can I check my seed works easily? on: May 07, 2016, 10:43:29 PM
I use Multibit (classic).

I want to check that my seed works and will recover by btc in the event of failure.
How can I check my seed works?
211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to Transfer BTC to GBP with Circle.com on: April 27, 2016, 11:03:43 PM
Just to confirm my small deposit worked and I now have faith in the system.
212  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to Transfer BTC to GBP with Circle.com on: April 25, 2016, 10:16:36 PM
Looks like my thread got moved.

Anyway, I think I might have sorted it.

Basically ignore the top tabs - Account - Transactions - Send Money - Request Money

But click the SELL BITCOIN link which should be below your bitcoin balance on your account page (the homepage).

From here your deposit into address should be displayed if you have an account linked. Just select the amount of BTC you want to send and click continue..

I have no idea if it works though, I will need to wait a few days and check my bank account to see if the funds have been added.
213  Economy / Exchanges / How to Transfer BTC to GBP with Circle.com on: April 25, 2016, 09:04:32 PM
I have a circle account with 1BTC in it.

I live in the UK and I want to transfer some (or all of the BTC to my bank account). Please can someone tell me how to do it.

I have Googled it but the results seem inaccurate. The things they tell me to do don't appear on my dashboard.

For example, I don't have cash out available.

How do I cash out?

Transferring money from your Circle account is simple and secure. All you need is a linked debit/credit card or bank account as the destination for your money

On the main account page, select Cash Out
214  Other / MultiBit / Re: wallet.dat on: April 25, 2016, 07:35:52 AM
I don't use QT, I use Multibit.

multibit doesn't use wallet.dat. they uses .wallet format and .info for description and labels. that's what you need to copy.

Yes, multibit.wallet

Do you use multibit classic or multibit HD?

Pretty sure it's the classic.

And if I later wanted to import the wallet back into Multibit do I import private keys or is there another way to import a wallet?

Can you import a wallet on top of another one?

Srry for all the questions.
217  Other / MultiBit / Re: wallet.dat on: April 24, 2016, 11:53:22 PM
Si once I have backed up a copy I don't need to back up again unless I add additional funds, right?

If I want to secure my wallet do I just need to back up wallet.dat to an external hard drive.

Please, don't make this complicated. Presume I don't have any virus. I just want a simple way to save my bitcoin elsewhere in case my PC dies.

Also, if I back up wallet.dat what happens if I spend bitcoin?

220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Real World Scenario - Question on: July 20, 2015, 11:04:23 PM
Ok, so I use mycelium on my phone but I don't like to keep a lot on there, usually just under $100 or so. I transfer btc weekly to my phone to top it up.
I like to think of my smartphone like my wallet.

I keep my laptop at home and that is where I keep the rest of my funds (some $50,000 worth of btc). Anyway, it doesn't matter if it's on my laptop or on an external flashdrive the point is it's at home.

So one day I see something epic but they want $220 of btc. They don't take any other form of credit.

I can't just go home as it's a 2 hour round trip and by that time the store will be closed.

How the fuck can I access my bank (on my PC) when I am away from my PC? unless I use the cloud and isn't that a really bad idea?
