2001  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give me a minute of your time on: October 09, 2022, 10:04:56 AM
With the way companies are going bankrupt this days I think I should warn my fellow Bitcointalk friends, give me a minute of your time.

Forget about how big a crypto exchange have grown, do not leave your coins on exchange, we can never tell which exchange will go down unexpectedly in this bear market.

I have some USDT that I plan to use to buy coins probably when BTC is down to 10k which I believed would happened in September but it never did so I moved the USDT out of the exchange back into my wallet.

Do not relent, do not trust any exchange, trust only your private keys, remember, not your keys, not your coins.
Not your keys not your cryptos that is the simple fact so never use exchanges for storage purpose butnI would like to remind you that holding USDT also has high risk because we never know when it will crash and there are lot of allegations against USDT in the recent days about their reserves for their minting tokens are not really balanced, so for the safety of your portfolio value move USDT into something trustable or even fiat is a good choice.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funny way to Describe Bull and Bear Market on: October 08, 2022, 06:17:41 PM
By the way, we need some good advices on Bull and Bear Market on this thread.
Thanks in advance
Human emotions works in that way, if they see a trend they will go behind it until they realize they are at the last of their queue there isn't going to be much benefits for them. But for any speculative asset this is common so when you see people are selling then start accumulating and sell when people are buying and this is simple trick can make you billionaire in few years depends on how much capital you have to start with.
2003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They want your money by all means possible on: October 08, 2022, 04:24:44 PM
1. Visible team members don't mean they are scam free.
2. A audited smart contract project can still scam you.
3. Scammers can spend a lot on their website to make it look attractive just to make you invest your money.
4. High volume on the listed exchange doesn't make a project clean from going scam.

That is why bitcoin is the only coin we can trust and for the fact any project which creates tokens on their own and distribute to the investors can make you to lose all your money if they want that is why we should know the supply and demand so even the creator cannot mess up if the project is really decentralized and works based on the Proof of Work so the only way to create the coin is by mining them not with the simple click.

If a project is on the hype then you can consider it for short term investment and just cash it all out when you made decent profits, don't trap into the FOMO nd FUDs.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I helped my dad bought some Bitcoin last night on: October 08, 2022, 03:05:47 PM
Glad to hear that but the next step is really important which is about cryptocurrency wallets for now if he is only interested in Bitcoin then just suggest the electrum which is lightweight and with simple UI so anyone can understand to use the app in few minutes but make sure he also knows about the fee required according to the mempool clog so the transaction won't get stuck which may really frustrating for the beginners.
2005  Economy / Gambling / Re: FortuneJack experience so far so good but I have a few questions on: October 08, 2022, 11:32:10 AM
I have been disbursing more time on FortuneJack this days since it's been suggested to me on this forum but a question pop up in my head today and I think its better to ask, (1) Binance exchange has collateral fund in case any hack takes place or users lose funds, is there any gambling website that has the same just in case? (2) is there any gambling website that got hacked and reimbursed their users in the past and they still functioning till date?.
IMHO, gambling sites doesn't have feature like SAFU but they don't keep all the funds in their hot wallets, most of the investors funds will be moved to the cold storage so its like 70 to 80% of their funds will be safe even in the total hack. But the question you asked is really urging so in future casinos will have feature like this to make their customers feel safe and lure more people with such satisfied customers?
2006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 13 years ago... on: October 07, 2022, 03:35:31 PM
People who understood the potential of this evolutionary technology invested few hundred dollars and became millionaires but many of the people who bought it just for no reason at all and its like a lottery for them if the coins are still in their possession. But what if doesn't matter anymore, what matters is whether we want to invest now and wait for it to go 5 or 6 figures.
2007  Economy / Economics / Re: A great resignation is incoming to the IT powerhouse of the world on: October 07, 2022, 11:51:33 AM
Let's put this on a scale, one side 86% of people are ready to resign their jobs but on the other side the unemployment is at the peak all over the world so India is not an exception to it, so if the existing employees are going to resign their jobs then soon the slots will be filled with people who is looking for jobs so company get more benefits if an existing employee resign since they can hire someone to do the same task just for the half pay.

Practically no one is going to resign their jobs because they have been asked to come back from the work from home setup so this isn't really an issue.
2008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: no deposit bonuses. on: October 07, 2022, 07:18:24 AM
Hi do you know of any exchanges that offer no deposit bonuses.

I have read that many forex platforms offer no deposit bonuses with the idea of enticing you to start trading.
But I don't know of any cryptocurrency exchanges that offer these no deposit bonuses...does anyone know of any?
Forex trading platforms doesn't really provide you any promo like you mentioned, the bonus comes when you make a deposit and its actually a strategy by the platform to increase your spending amount and it can be deceiving as well.

No real crypto exchange offers such bonus, if you don't have the capital to start trading then you will not be their target to reach but they do have other promotional events like referral bonus, etc.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be used to clean environment and reduce waste?? on: October 07, 2022, 05:50:34 AM
Generation of bio furl is not easy as we say because it takes lot of infrastructure and land structure to fill all the space so why we have to go for the more expensive ways.

The real reason why government doesn't like bitcoin is decentralisation not because of it is consuming more electricity or producing anything which is against the nature.
2010  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nigerian System and UK System on: October 06, 2022, 03:53:30 PM
Its not about the UK or the Nigerian government official, its known that when someone from another country commited a crime in their land then the punishment will be served so if the person found guilty of what he did with all the evidences then he supposed to sentence to prison as per their laws but in the third world countries or anywhere if the rich criminals found the corrupted officials then they can remain free.
2011  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not use your phone number for crypto registration and other crypto related th on: October 06, 2022, 02:04:56 PM
There are few exchanges that allow users to create account using their mobile phone numbers, compare to using email account I think phone numbers has more risk than email account, if you are a newbie and you want to create an account on a exchange please use an email address instead.

You can easily create a new email account and use it for exchange registration, unlike phone numbers that has access to your security number and bank account, if anyone get access to your number either through hacks like SIM swap you will lose more than your crypto assets, your money in the bank isn't safe either.

Your security number can be used for other criminal activities too, my advice is to keep your mobile phone numbers out of crypto things.
I don't remember signed up for any cryptocurrency exchange with my mobile number but every time I used the email but it doesn't mean you can feel safer and also it is not advisable to use new email for everytime you register on a crypto related platform.

If you feel you don't want to expose your primary email then keep a secondary email for every crypto related stuffs and when talking about exchanges never forget to avail the 2FA authentication security feature which can save you from phishing and swim swap attacks.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of bug bounties from gambling platforms on: October 06, 2022, 12:29:04 PM
Why aren't gambling websites using bug bounties to test-run their platform security? I haven't seen any gambling platform doing this, maybe that's why most gambling websites became prone to hacking? If I am wrong what gambling project do you think have the most secured system?, peace.

Casinos maybe having the dedicated team to monitor their security system and even if there is any vulnerability and you found it then surely you can contact the casino support or email them and hope you will be given with reward.

Personally I feel why the casinos doesn't have such bounties for public is to avoid getting bad impression and unnec attacks into their security system.
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: Electricity bills worth 500,000 euros: a hotel chain closes down in Italy. on: October 06, 2022, 11:05:23 AM
Normally government will take the burden at situation like this instead of completely forcing the consumers but later they compensate the loss from electricity with increasing the taxes gradually that can be applied here as well instead of completely forcing the consumers to pay for it. If the government is going to point out other nations political issue is the reason then the respective government is actually failed to fulfill the people requirements.

Yes, of course, now it turns out that socialism, which is one of the most important causes of the problem, is going to get us out of it.

So with the price of energy having increased by at least 300%, and in some places in Europe it is more, you want the government to raise taxes on top of that?  Great plan, eh?

I am not saying that government has to increase the tax on top of 300% hike in the electricity bills, I am suggesting the government has to bear the price hike by paying the price to electricity from their pocket and don't let the people to bear them at all, to compensate what they paid now, in the future they can make up by gradually increasing the taxes on various sectors without affecting the business and every individual living in their nation.
2014  Economy / Economics / Re: Electricity bills worth 500,000 euros: a hotel chain closes down in Italy. on: October 05, 2022, 06:27:34 PM
The amount looks insane and yeah price hike of 300% can't be bearable unless the company wants to spend their money from their pockets to sustain the business until the return of normality but as a wise decision, they decided to close and don't want to spend any money but imagine what will happen if every business takes out this stance? The government has to take some chances now to keep the business on the run or else they will be facing serious economic loss in near future.

300% is already too much and an injustice for their consumers. The inflation crisis is getting worse but increasing the electricity bills too high will surely affect small and huge businesses and may be the reason for them to shut down their business especially if they won't be able to sustain it.
The energy cost increase is also a burden to ordinary people especially the minimum and middle wagers. The government must find alternatives and back up to fix this problem because if it will continue, this will hit their economy badly. They should check it the long time effect and find a long term solution for this.

2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 05, 2022, 06:47:32 AM
I always consider gaming as gambling I have seen many gamblers spend a lot of money for their character and to level up their account for future profit, like selling their stuff and their character.

If you're a gamer or someone is a gamer and would like to try to gamble in online casinos will it become an easy transition as all the elements of gambling are present when you're a gamer, or does a gamer have to start all over again, and have a different motivation and mindset?
Regular gamers like anyone is doing it for fun can be exposed to gambling as well because both are similar in many aspects but I am not convinced that their gaming urge can be satisfied with traditional casino games like dice, slots, roulette, etc since its cery simple and people attracted towards this games are more looking to try their luck and get the results whereas gamers keep themselves into the games like more intensive real world like experience, levelling up,etc so it really depends on every individual and what is their purpose of playing.
2017  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I secluded to beginners board only for now? on: October 04, 2022, 05:27:10 PM
I have a question and doubt about where to communicate in this forum since I joined. I see a lot of newbies posting in the beginners board always and not interacting in other board most times. Is this where we only belong to for now until we gather plenty knowledge here and then rank up before we can use other boards?
Am I free to comment on any other boards as I do here and also ask questions there too?

There is no restriction to post on the boards anymore apart from ivory discussion child board under serious discussion, and the reason why newbies spend most of the time in B&H is to learn and become familiar with crypto and forum related stuffs as much as possible before diving into the main board so they will get better impression from the community which will give good reputation as well as other benefits.
2018  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Asking about anonymity when I pay with Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 04:41:13 PM
I want to ask about anonymity when I pay with Bitcoin. My question is whether when:

1. I register for an online trading arena that does not require personal identification
2. And I buy Bitcoin with my credit card
3. I pay someone with Bitcoin:

I know that my wallet address will be expose on the blockchain, but since I did not identify myself,
my question is, can anyone (the person who received the money, government, etc.)
can get to my identity just because I bought the bitcoin with my own credit card?

I would love to hear any opinion as well as recommendations on how to make transfers in complete anonymity. Thank you! <3

When you say that you are buying Bitcoin with credit card theb definitely it is from an exchange so yes the exchanges may have your credit card details since you are using the regulated exchanges and if I am not wrong even exchange with no mandatory KYC requires KYC for credit card purchases so the anonymity decreases whenever you use the fiat to purchase bitcoin unless its from decentralized p2p mode payment.
2019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Net Bitcoin ATMs growth drops globally for the first time ever on: October 02, 2022, 04:55:23 PM
Regulations seems the big problem for Bitcoin ATM, even in my country many startup companies tried to do business with the installation of Bitcoin ATM but every attempt ended as a failure because the government and central bank doesn't really draw a line in most countries about installing of currency machine for public should be issued by which authority.
They will fail unless the government fully backs them up and given how banks are heavily tied to the government, I don't think that we will see progress that will make Bitcoin ATMs more prevalent in more places. This news of ATM installations going down is a pretty alarming since that means there's probably less confidence to bitcoin.
But as per the book of laws the central banks are individual authority not really possessed by the government just like the court of the country so the banks can certainly crumble the start-up companies by taking legal actions against them since every company needs the help of banks so they don't go to extreme situation to fight for it.

2020  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If I get heart Attack that is because of BITCOIN on: October 02, 2022, 03:19:32 PM
Hi guys I think I might have heart Attack cause when I buy Bitcoin it goes to lows and when I sell Bitcoin it goes higher and today I sold my all Bitcoin earnings that were 200 dollars and than. BITCOIN starting pumping very hard and that was very very annoying to me. What should I do about this?
So you are blindly taking chances and everytime it doesn't flavours you, this is normal in gambling. Roll Eyes

If you sold your holding then on what basis you decided to sell?

Before accusing just understand how the market works, even though it is not possible to predict the market movements with 100% precision but you should always take the help of technical analysis.
