2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 01, 2022, 05:57:58 PM

Dimitry Bivol being tired of Canelo Alvarez's excuses just stated that he is willing to fight him at 168lbs.  So Canelo won't have any excuses that it is not his natural weight division.  This is very interesting in the development of their rematch, I wonder if the match would include the defense of Canelo's current title.  Would be exciting if it would be  Grin.

I don't think Eddie Hearn and Canelo will agree to contest the fight at 168 lbs. or that dumb enough to even consider that idea Grin Dmitry Bivol would loved to visit Canelo in his division where he doesn't have any titles to risk whereas Canelo got everything to lose, and if ever Canelo's camp will agree but with no titles on the line, I wouldn't be surprised that Bivol won't give him any attention because what's there to fight or where's the challenge if there will be no titles on the line. I think it will be unfair for Bivol because he also risked his belt during their first encounter.
2022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: December 01, 2022, 04:25:49 PM
Ok it seems that Canelo Alvarez per this interview, says that he favored or see Benavidez winning against Plant.

Quote
“It's going to be a very competitive fight between [Benavidez and Plant.] I personally believe that Benavidez wins,” Alvarez told bet365. “I am here to face the best and make the best fights in boxing. I am interested in all those fights. Whatever leads me to make history. That is why I am here.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/canelo-alvarez-picks-benavidez-beat-plant-its-going-competitive--170770

And probably this is good news for Benavidez as he might face Alvarez next if he wins this fight. At least him and his Father has been requesting this fight for a long time. And if David win and become the mandatory for one of Alvarez belt then this fight could be made.

I hope so that Canelo won't be ducking if that time comes because after Plant, David is next line to fight Canelo. I'm not saying that he is scared but I just hope that he will face David this time and won't say again that fighting the latter won't give him some benefits. Of course, what's there left? He already got the 4-belts and the title.

But I think David have to wait because Canelo's priority for now is to face Bivol again in a rematch, although there might not be much difference this time.

Yes, it's that complicated in Canelo's end, I mean he still wants to fight Bivol and avenge his defeat, but then again there is someone in the horizon, a young lion who wants to challenge Canelo.

And now that is fight is ordered or going to be made, the winner could be on Canelo.

But let's wait, if David wanted to face Canelo next year, focused on this fight first. Let his father do the talking in the media to hyper his fight against Caleb.

David Benavidez should know that after Caleb Plant, he will have to wait for at least 1-2 year before he can have that chance especially now that Canelo is still on the process of healing his wrist. So, a tune-up fight will likely happen as the first move that Canelo and his camp would take after the healing period before Canelo will take a much heavier boxers like David or Bivol. Who knows who will have the first dance because Bivol's priority is also Artur Beterbiev (if the latter defeats Yarde on the process)
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 01, 2022, 03:37:41 PM
But the biggest reason is probably that its hard to make a skill-based game into something luck based.

Cockfighting is more of a luck-based game though your bird has a high chance of winning if it is well-trained but in the end luck should be on your side most of the time to win.

Is it though?  Huh

One rooster is not the same as another rooster. If anything that is what I imagine to be one of the most exciting parts of the game? To bet on a better rooster? Thats why in real life cockfighting the strong roosters are very prized. If you wish to emulate that experience and offer it as a game on a gambling platform, then you cannot make the digital version luck based. Otherwise it just becomes a simple dice game but with animated roosters...

Not that I am an expert in cockfighting. Far from it, actually.

I also think luck is a huge factor in this game.  Since cockfighting is modified by equipping blades on the legs of the rooster,  other rooster are not comfortable wearing it so as a result there are some incidents of self-afflicted damage that can result in the death of a roster.  This sometimes happen when the dominant rooster shuffle the almost beaten opponent that is lying on the ground.  The dominant rooster often hit its neck that can result to insta-death of the rooster.

Another case of luck case is the fighting strategy of a cock.  Since most owners are not aware of how the cock fight, there is a chance that their rooster fight style is countered by the opposing rooster's fight style.  There are lots of cases that luck can apply on the cockfigting game.  One that I experienced was that the blade was wrongly equipped on our rooster making it not deal damage even though it should be a clear hit.

Yes, if it is not a luck-based game then what is it? I think it's clear that it's classified as a luck-based game because even if your rooster came from a strong breed that previously won different tournaments, its chances may somehow increase but its vulnerability is the same as the game is based on who will survive last or who will inflict the most stab from that blade they're equipped.
2024  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: December 01, 2022, 02:57:19 PM
Without elon saying bitcoin rise I'm also sure that bitcoin will rise again, since I got to know bitcoin a few years ago it often experiences drop conditions like now, and when the market rises everything is fun, always optimistic about market conditions because I'm sure in 2023 the price can pass ATH in 2021.
Indeed. We know that Bitcoin has 2 market trends, bearish and bullish. Even if Elon Musk didn't state BTC to rise, most crypto investors understand that Bitcoin will rise again. There should be an end of this bearish season, probably it is when BTC halving begins. You must know the next BTC halving to happen in 2024, so I am not sure there will be a new ATH in 2023. The possible time of a big rising of BTC ideally happens in 2024-2025. It is what I know from my own analysis.

Yes, even if Elon Musk will not state that, bitcoin will always recover and rise again to repeat or exceed its last ATH. Not sure when but we just need to be patient to wait for it to happen rather than always asking when will this bearish trend will end because fact is, nobody can answer when will it end and the bull season will commence. At least now, we have a timetable because of the upcoming halving so before or after, we will see a spike. Just hodl for now.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 01, 2022, 02:05:20 PM

Yes, I'm also expecting that this time around they will make sure that they are more competent and much more ready than what they had last season. I know that they aren't expecting like that to happen last season that they will participate in the Finals but with the dedication they had, they managed to climb the ladder and almost defeated the scorching Warriors. Look at them now, the Celtics leads the whole league and not just the conference, they got the most games won and least games lost.

If ever the Warriors and the Celtics will have a match-up in the Finals again, I bet the Warriors will fail this time because they almost got no defensive players left while the Celtics got the same roster and much more experienced this time around.

Well like in the previous Season the Golden State Warriors don't need to be in the top standing they just need to get in the playoffs, and showcase what they really can do, for me I still have hope for the Golden State Warriors in pretty much making it even the finals, right now James Wiseman is on the Santa Cruz Warriors the G league, this is to ready him in coming back to the Golden State Warriors again, and to hone his skill in the G League, While Jonathan Kuminga is rising up to the occasion and if this continues this 19 years old will likely become a great asset for the Warriors, in becoming a mini Giannis Antetokounmpo, for the team, that frequently shooting outside, if this continues and Steve Kerr would likely let him play a couple of minutes I think that he will show most of his potential inside the court, And I am sure excited for this Warriors team than the last season,

I understand that you look at the Warriors that way and seems interesting for you to see that they are taking their time to prepare their players, and for the record, I have no doubts at all that they can still reach the playoffs this season. But, I doubt that they will have that chance to at least defend their title on the Finals, not with the current roster they have now. We never know, at the end of the day, only one of us will get it right Wink
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 01, 2022, 01:41:46 PM
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Philadelphia Sixers

The Cleveland Cavaliers (13-8) will try to extend their home winning streak to 5 as they go against the Philadelphia 76ers (12-9) today. The Cavs are favored @1.60 while the 76ers odds @2.40. Philadelphia will still miss the service of James Harden and Tyrese Maxey.

The Philadelphia are getting schooled by the J.B. Bickerstaff's men, it's almost a 30 points lead quarter way into the final quarter already, I didn't think the Philadelphia would struggle this much with Joel Embiid back, but I think him getting back was more of a curse today, rather than a blessing because the whole team was rather trying to have him dictate to entire and it's almost like a telegraphed game play for the Cavs to read and counter.

Come on, It's just one game, as if the Sixers losses like this all the time, let's just say they have a bad night, but having Embiid bad will surely make the team better. I think it's a great opportunity for bettors if we will back the Sixers on their next game, for sure they'll bounce back from that disappointing lose.

Their game earlier was a little bit unexpected because I was looking forward to see a tight close game or a low-scoring game, Embiid was really having a bad night as he only scored 19 points and that makes two of them as the only players who got double digits in their roster. But yes, that's just normal and we might see the Sixers bouncing back on their next game with the Grizzlies.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 30, 2022, 07:15:44 PM
I agree to that, Butler's punching power is not that heavy to bring Inoue down, unlike with Donaire before where Inoue was almost kissing the canvass, though we never know when luck come, maybe Butler will find that solid combination to bring Inoue down.

We never looked down on Paul Butler but I also don't see he has that strong punch to take down Inoue if he was able to connect some good shots.

Inoue is also used to receiving a different levels of punches and if we talk about Butler's punch, Inoue can surely handle it.

It's also hard to connect some blows on Inoue as this guy is very quick and versatile. On the other hand, Butler is not even known for some special skills related to speed, quickness, strong punches, absorbing heavy body blows, and so on.

Oftentimes, heavy punchers have high resistance to the same amount of punching power.  So it is somehow scientific to say that Butler's punching power will almost not affect Inoue because Inoue having the heavier hitter possibly possessed high durability and resistance against weaker punching power opponents.  We can testify to it in his fight against Donaire.   Even though Inoue's face is somehow ruined in their first fight, Inoue has never been knockdown by the hard-hitting Donaire.  The reason behind this is, Inoue is a harder puncher thus his durability would be better.

Not just often times, heavy hitters are always got better chances to survive the fight and I think we can already say that it is already a fact. The only exemption of their chances of survivability is if they will meet that punch that will get them knocked out in their most vulnerable moment, as even heavy hitters with best defensive tactics still got weaknesses. In this fight, Butler will have to find that weakness as fast as he could because Inoue might finish the fight much earlier. Though that's the hardest challenge but he should find it to increase his chances.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 30, 2022, 05:56:25 PM
I will certainly be choosing sports betting as I was exposed more to it than others. And not only that, I was choosing this because my chances of winning it were a little bit high than the lottery and card games. If fact, winning a bet in sports is not just a matter of luck but we have the chance to bet on the team base on their performance, not by a wild guess like the lottery. However, not all sports I have to bet on, I was just particular about basketball.
It’s really an advantage when you’re good into sports so sportsbetting should be the perfect choice. Our background from the sport will be a great edge so we can win from sportsbetting aside from luck that we should also have. And even if you’re good at one sport only, then focus your bet on it and never go random betting to avoid future losses.

Same here, aside from the fact that sports betting is the only gambling ground I know, I will always choose rather than gambling on a luck-based games. Having to know many games and its rules can really be an advantage to us, sports bettors, because the more knowledge we know, the more chances for us to get a win. Analyzation might be sometimes hard but we know that we should dig in some information before we make a bet so that our bets won't be wasted as just slight information that we haven't knew will give us troubles.

2030  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Satoshi a Russian? on: November 30, 2022, 03:46:27 PM
This has made me think that Satoshi is a Russian.

The creator, Satoshi Nakamoto might be also British, American, Japanese or whoever he wanted. My point is that no one really knew his exact identity or where did he live or where was he born. There's a lot of speculation that might be connected to his identity but up to this point, nobody was able to prove about his whereabouts. The fact that he is already clever enough to create bitcoin means that he's also clever enough to conceal his identity.

Quote
There is no other evidence apart from what I presented above which is not concrete. If I am not correct can somebody explain to me why there are many Russians in the forum?

You already said it yourself, the evidence you laid is not really concrete. The Russians may have been in the forum since 2010 but that is not proof to say that SN is Russian. My theory why the Russian Board is very active is because not all of them can understand and talk English which is the universal language, they are just all congested in one board.

I'm also struggling to determine whether if it's luck-based game or not, I know what you're trying to say and I got your point. It's just sometimes, even the strongest rooster will get defeated unexpectedly and surely there's a lot of gamblers who will lost that bet because no one would expect that it will get lost. If you're particular about this game, then you already knew that there's a calendar that the bettors are looking and the type of the moon of that specific day/night. Of course, there's no guarantee that you will win if you'll base your bets about it but there will be some times too that it will really go through.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 30, 2022, 02:40:42 PM
I'm excited about Celtics' performance in this season as well. Because they have made a really solid start to the regular season. They are the leader in the Eastern Conference currently and their performance is really promising for playoffs too. They must be aiming to finish the incomplete job they had in the finals of the previous season.

This time Warriors don't seem very impressive but we are still in the earlier stages of the season as well. Curry is still showing a high level of performance as usual. They just need to be better as a team. Their recent form is good actually. They need to keep this up to secure a stronger position.

Yes, I'm also expecting that this time around they will make sure that they are more competent and much more ready than what they had last season. Following you on that Warriors bet, they seem to regain their momentum now and started winning on their road games.

Seems that the Warriors are now gaining the momentum on the road games, though we can't tell if how the Wolves will try to avoid losing inside their
home court, might be possible that they will take the challenge.

They will lean with their core stars who are all healthy today, not sure if they can figure it out on how to create a good defense with the running attacks of the warriors.

it's an early game today, let see if how the outcome will be for the early bettors.

Seems like it mate as the Warriors are now on their 3rd win-streak after they defeated the Timberwolves (137-114) .. Finally, they seem to have fixed the issues as they are starting to show why they won the Finals last year and climbing through the ranks again. Although, this time is different because they are now a roster full of offensive players. Well, that excludes Draymond Green.

Anyway, here's mine for the games tomorrow:
Lakers -3 @ 1.91 vs Pacers
Hawks vs 76ers -1 @ 1.91

GL!
2034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: November 28, 2022, 04:47:44 PM
Just of yesterday I have seen a strong move of the ethereum gaining about 10 percent from the previous price and I was triggered to know if the bull about to kick off.
What do you smells from it?

As many have predicted, it will take more time. As long as 1-2 years. And the little movements in market will only make us confuse.
Strong holders are still holding knowing well that it will go again but sure it will take more time than we have predicted in the early bear market's beginning.
All upper movements in market indicate fake bull indication.

We are still way too long before the bullish trend commences, we are blinded by the idea that the market will somehow make some changes because of the halving in 2024. We must not forget that even after the halving, price corrections will take time before the market will be bullish and achieve another ATH. We all don't know when it will recover, so for the time being, let's just be patient about the situation.
2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want sell my house for bitcoin on: November 28, 2022, 02:54:41 PM
(I have 2 house, which I want sell it is abandoned house)

The answer is right in front of you bro. Assuming am in your position and own two houses out of which one is abandoned and I don't have the capital to develop it to a state where I can rent it out to generate income, I would consider selling it and putting 70% of the funds on btc. No doubt in 2 to 3 years to come btc must have increased more in value, enough for me to buy a decent house for rent.
As long as you have a goal and know when to take advantage when btc hit your price target, you will be glad to make that decision.

Correct! All this time, the OP already had the answer to his question but I cannot really blame him if he took that same question and asked the users here in this forum because chances is that he might come across answers that he haven't thought. It's much better to sell that abandoned house and convert the fiat into bitcoin while we are still in a bear market and the halving is approaching new. That house has no utility anymore and it has been a liability to the OP has I bet he is still paying a tax for that stated house.
2036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 02:12:31 PM
Leaving sentiments asides, will you advise someone to still buy some Bitcoins (Not up to the value of 1)  if they have an amount of money that will be okay to purchase the equivalent of 1 of a good altcoin with a strong community? Is having some bitcoins (in decimals) more valuable still than having the value of one good altcoin?

It depends if that specific person is looking for a long-term or short term investment, both can be profitable of course but I pick bitcoin decimals over 1 good altcoin. Bitcoin is bitcoin, it's been around for more than a decade now while the altcoins are not, so just to be sure, I will advise him/her to buy bitcoin because it already proved numerous times that it will always recover.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 28, 2022, 01:14:30 PM
Moving on, what's our next big fight?
I don't really know what's the criteria of big fight do you want, if you're only looking for popular boxers then it's a lot but the odds is really small and doesn't worth to bet since it's less than 1.15x like Tyson Fury, Teofimo Lopez, Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue.

But if you're looking for better odds you can check a fight between Chocolatito vs Estrada, Charlo vs Tszyu and Warrington vs Luiz Lopez. There's so many fights from popular boxers will happen in this month.

Let's not forget the John Riel Casimero vs Ryo Akaho fight this Saturday @ 4AM ET at Incheon, South Korea

5 days left but their odds is not yet listed on my betting platform, maybe the bookies will list this bout in like 48 hours before their fight begins. This is interesting to see because it is somehow personal for Casimero because he need to avenge his fellow countrymen who fell in the hands of Akaho and this fight will determine Casimero's future in the industry. Failure to win will cause him his career.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2022, 12:44:31 PM
It was the king's comeback for the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James showed his difference in his second away game against the San Antonio Spurs. He finished the game with 39 points and 11 rebounds. This time, Anthony Davis did not play in this match, but Dennis Schoreder made a significant contribution to the team. All is well with the Los Angeles Lakers for now. He will now play both games in Los Angeles.
Lebron won't be enough, we all know that. But with Schroder, it is enough to win a game as long as he will have the best night of his life.
This is the Schroder that I have seen in the Eurobasket just months ago. The Lakers team might not be his countrymen, or he is not fighting for his country, but the honor is there. If he plays well, his countrymen are rejoicing about his success.
I cannot wait to see how much chemistry they can create when AD is back. With Schroder backing up the bench team, they won't have to worry whenever they need a rest.

Yes, the times has changed and the old Lebron cannot do what he have been doing for the past years. He can still be the biggest contributor and leads the team with the help of his experience throughout the years, but he need the rest of the team to deliver a win. Schroder is still adjusting because he have just joined the team late because of the injury he experienced, but I'll expect that he will do his best just like what he did in the Eurobasket. And he should be impressive this time if he wanted to have an extension.
2039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 27, 2022, 04:34:36 PM
...

Bad beginning never end up in good result ,rather  it ends in regret, waste of fund. The problem why some beginners starts investment in a wrong way is because they are too busy and think knowledge is time consuming.

I disagree with your statement, are you sure you are off to a good start and that you have never made a mistake in your investment journey? Most of the newbies in the market will have a difficult start because of simply lack of knowledge, and no leader… it can be said that they don't know where to start. But as long as they realize their shortcomings, never stop learning, and don't give up after falling, they will become real investors like us.

Exactly! Failing is a part of the journey especially if you are new in the crypto world, even the veterans still have losses because of the market's unpredictable movement, so, what would you expect for the beginners, right? Failing is way to learn so that you can improve the next time you will take some risks. Moreover, I don't really believe that this time is a bad beginning for the beginners because it is up to them if they will equip themselves with the knowledge needed to survive in this space, so of course, without that knowledge then there's really no luck for you here. Aside from that, this time is not really that bad to start because it is even a good way to start and accumulate coins while you can still buy it at a much cheaper price before the market recovers.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: November 27, 2022, 03:51:27 PM
I seldom see something like this

Beterbiev by KO/TKO   - 13 (100%)
Beterbiev by decision   - 0 (0%)
Yarde by KO   - 0 (0%)
Yarde by decision   - 0 (0%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)

but with this specific fight, this is 100% possible, a guy with a 100% knockout percentage against a guy who got knocked out from an aging warrior and with a jab to deliver it, Yarde talks about how things change and he is not the same Yarde that fought Kovalev, but what's the difference, he will still get busted.

Seeing this kind of poll is indeed rare but, in this fight, it is somehow expected that Beterbiev will have a landslide vote here in this forum just like how he will have a landslide victory here over this bigmouth Anthony Yarde who is talking that he can do this and that or how he improved throughout the years since he was defeated by Kovalev. I mean, really? It's unbelievable to see that he is still boasting despite of that fact.
