2041  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan of 2.2 BTC (Publishing a Poetry Book) on: January 16, 2016, 09:51:21 AM
There once was a man from bitcointalk.
His poetry book was quite the joke.
He had no money so had a moan,
Then had the idea to take a loan.
No collateral to back it
So the members said red tag it

The End.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
2042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mike Hearn problem on: January 15, 2016, 07:51:20 PM

2043  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: buckrodgers is a scammer on: January 15, 2016, 08:21:13 AM

Op states the scammers username is "    buckrodgers"

Genuine guy's username is " buckrogers" no "D" in it
2044  Economy / Economics / Re: Why gold price going down? on: January 14, 2016, 10:17:01 PM
As far as I can tell, reading and thinking will tell you what the gold price ought to be.  The rich people have had thousands of years of practice at getting the market price to zigzag on 100 year timescales around that and spreading lies to catch out rival factions who tried to zag while the other lot had agreed at Davos to zig instead.  Or was that zag?  Well anyway, a ticket to the zigzagger master planning meeting costs so much that anyone who buys a ticket has to give all their gold to the rich people.

Likewise, oil ought to be getting a CO2e international climate change damages insurance premium putting its price and profit to way off what happens at present.  We won't see a sensible gold price while the rich people are getting encouraged to sell oil at such a low price.

Bitcoin was put forward as a possible solution to the problem of the rich people holding all the gold in the world, selling it at a high price, buying it back cheap a decade or two later, and repeating that since ancient times.

But dont a few people hold the majority of bitcoin and have been caught several times manipulating bitcoin prices through exchanges e.g when the price hit the all time high it was down to a bot playing the market.
2045  Economy / Economics / Re: Why gold price going down? on: January 14, 2016, 09:22:09 PM
A high gold price indicates panic and a lack of confidence in the markets.

The powers that be dont want that after all that QE money they pumped in artificially propping up the prices.

Result - keep dumping massive amounts of paper gold at strategic times to suppress the price as required.

The game cant go on forever and when it does fall over gold will go parabolic overnight.

2046  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking to buy 2-3 Antminer's S3! Escow is a must! on: January 10, 2016, 09:25:30 PM
p.s. You seem quite young, please be careful when buying and selling on this forum as there are many pro scammers on here (there are a lot of scammers that use similar usernames to respected members to confuse and scam newbies)

Stick to a well known Escrow.

If in doubt pm a senior member to double check for you before paying out any money
2047  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking to buy 2-3 Antminer's S3! Escow is a must! on: January 10, 2016, 09:20:29 PM
Thank you. Can you link me to your post about you selling your asics?

If you want to sell your asic best practice is to -

a) List in the correct location on the forum - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0
b) list the miner with clear description and price.
c) Provide good quality pictures with a piece of paper with your username and date.
d) Be willing to accept Escrow (especially if your a newbie with no trade history)
e) Dont accept paypal or other reversible payment methods or you may get scammed.
f) It is bitcointalk so accept bitcoin for payment.
2048  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking to buy 2-3 Antminer's! Escow is a must! on: January 10, 2016, 08:48:38 PM
Pm me for offers.

Escrow is a must. I feel comfortable with using  http://safepaybtc.com/

Thanks!

Nova

Which Antminer? There's S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S7 + variants. I have S1, S4 and S5 in Canada. But there is no way I or most users will accept to use a 3rd party website when we have a perfectly working method for Escrow on the forum.

crap I should of seen that I did not even specify! My bad.

I am a beginner on this form so I was confused why third party escrows were not used. Now it makes sense.

So pretty much a user on here is the escrow?

well your soul has been red flagged and is now worth a big fat zero
2050  Economy / Lending / Re: 1 btc loan needed - multiple investors ok - possible high payout on: January 09, 2016, 08:10:44 PM
Nah doesn't hurt my feelings. Just proves you a fearful idiot. Just because you thought of a great way I could scam, doesn't mean I would. You have zero proof that i would or wouldn't, you are just stating a theory that a newbie would scam. I obviously struck a nerve if you are resorting to more insults. My name is actually very dear to me and I wouldn't get rid of this account or screen name even if someone offered me 100 BTC for it.

Im sure you wouldn’t accept $45300 for your newbie username too  Roll Eyes

You could gamble those 100BTC and make 2000BTC as you state in your first post and just buy back your account for 30BTC and keep the rest lol
2051  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i go 50/50 with gold and bitcoin? on: January 09, 2016, 10:28:24 AM
at the moment i have 30 btc now i could sell in the highs and buy gold leaving me with 15 btc.

im starting to think btc wont survive long due being entirely digital the thing could be abandoned or worse internet might go down what you guys think i would look pretty stupid buying something you cant see or hold im torn to shreds right now.

ive listened to max keiser and proffs that bitcoin could be worth tens of thousends i think its the most sensible thing to do "dont put eggs in one basket" on all...

it draws a fine line... i.e. all that electricity to "mine" bitcoins pushing hardware to the max and with exchanges like crypsty and cexio mucking me around i just dont see the future help me realise this what should i do?

BTC is an investment with HUGE systemic risk.

Gold is an investment which has proven itself as a store of value for the entire duration of human civilisation.

BTC has bottomed out (for now) in 2015 for sure. Gold may have just bottomed out, or may still be bottoming out. Whatever happens, providing you are thinking in terms of a 5-10 year investment, now should prove to be a tremendous time to buy gold. Down almost 50% on it's 2011 high!

In terms of growth of profits, you are likely to see far more potential yield in the immediate future with Bitcoin, but if you fail to time your exit well, also far more potential for evaporation of profits.

I believe we are entering the final wave of the 'fear cycle'. Expect massive market corrections in the next 18 months. Usually under these circumstances, hard assets or safe haven assets do very well, as the fear, uncertainty, and doubt, drive people away from investments with counter party risk, and into things which are 'solid'. If the market can be tricked into believing that Bitcoin is a 'hard asset', then we may see blistering gains in Bitcoin compared to gold, but the core difference will always remain, that gold is real, it is formed within a very narrow band of time in the final moments before a star goes supernova, hence it's rarity across the entire cosmos. Bitcoin on the otherhand, is vapour, and one day, it will be revealed to be nothing more than that, whethet that is 5 years, or 50 years from now.

Gold is an insurance policy, BTC is about as highly speculative an asset as it gets. Do what makes you feel good/comfortable with yourself.

Agree with the above 100%
2052  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: robmob - accept my bid and then requerst 4x amount on: January 08, 2016, 05:09:05 PM
Seems a bit harsh doxing the guy as he didn’t actually scam anyone but just failed to honour an auction bid.
2053  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User mash.com attempt to scam me and now threatens to leave me negative trusts on: January 08, 2016, 02:14:28 PM
I have already left him a negative.

If he leaves any stupid feedback on your account dont worry as it will probably show as untrusted feedback.

Take a look at my untrusted feedback and you will see a lot of scammers that have left me a negative out of spite after they have been caught out.

Just ignore the prick and he'll get board and go away.

Stupid auto correct on my phone that should be "bored" not "board" lol

2057  Economy / Lending / Re: LEND ME ONLY 1MBTC SURE with a valid collateral on: January 07, 2016, 09:41:22 PM
Hello,

I need urgently 1 mbtc.
I will pay back 2 mbtc.
Collateral:300 YOCOIN and 240 SPLIFFCOIN.
I need urgently.
Cause:I have a strategy for a 500x profit.(Please dont ask me about)
Thanks!

No strategy exists that gives you a guaranteed 500x profit.

If there were you would be stinking rich and not asking for a 1mbtc micro loan.

p.s. nearly all your posts are in the gambling section so you obviously are not a very good gambler or you wouldn’t be skint  Wink
2058  Economy / Economics / Re: HOW do you get gold onto the plane...? on: January 07, 2016, 09:10:48 PM
I take comfort in the fact that you cant think of a way to smuggle gold on to plane.

If you could smuggle large amounts of gold undetected that means you could just as easily smuggle a gun or bomb onboard and thats in no one's best interest Smiley
2059  Economy / Economics / Re: HOW do you get gold onto the plane...? on: January 07, 2016, 07:42:18 PM
... Now you have to remove all metal objects before you go through these
scanners, and they scan your items... so there are virtually no way to get past them.  Roll Eyes

I'm not so sure.  Huh
What scanner could discern a solid Iron pen form a solid gold pen? They would both be visible as a silhouette, but the scanner operator could not tell what the object is made of. Just don't melt it into the shape of a pistol. lol

I presume different metals would have a different signature under X-ray?

As gold is super dense it would probably show blacker than other metals.
2060  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] - RESTOCKED - 2X S5 on: January 07, 2016, 05:37:48 PM
I will change my neg feedback to neutral.

Just gives people a heads up to be careful and use Escrow as this account was used to scam but has changed hands several times.
