2041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: chances of bank closing account if you buy bitcoin on: April 30, 2021, 05:21:53 AM
Depends on which country you are from, in my country, there seems to be a loose or little to no regulation so it doesn't really matter how you get your money unless you act suspicious. I haven't tried buying bitcoin with a bank account since there isn't a lot of perks and it isn't the norm in my country to have a bank account unless you are in business or you are earning a lot of money.
2042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scammers have a hard time with grammar on: April 30, 2021, 04:36:29 AM
That kind of websites or application created by the scammers are made only by a programmer or only a few groups of people so they created this with some errors, including grammatical error because they didn't acquire grammarian for the website that they are creating, they are the ones who only create the website so it ends up like that. To identify also whether it is a fake website then you have to check it to its official website.
Doing basic grammar is not that difficult to do, because there are free grammar tools to use, the reason for this is that the scammers are more on quantity over quality. How can you identify if it is an official website if it is the only website? That's pretty confusing.
2043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla now accepts Bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 10:10:17 AM
~
By the way, I wonder what they are going to do with such a stock and what the storage time limits may be and what are the conditions for a potential conversion? Because I understand when this stock of bitcoins is used in operational activities, because as far as I remember, Tesla started accepting payment in bitcoins and some stock could be quite useful. But since the conversation is about storage...
Well, they will do what Grayscale and Microstrategy does, store it for a long time and sell some of it from time to time and then buy back some out of the profit and increase your stash of bitcoin. I am sure that they have their ways to make money out of this.
2044  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Earning bitcoin = wages/tips? on: April 29, 2021, 09:26:14 AM
If you earn a lot in bitcoin then you might consider not going for an unemployment assistance but if it is otherwise then you can probably do it since the money that you get from bitcoin is not a lot, you need all the help that you can get you know. In my country, there isn't a lot of unemployment programs and it varies from city to city so having affairs with bitcoin is a pretty good thing, they don't seem to mind it because I have a friend who earn a lot by trading and he isn't paying any taxes.
2045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Killed Bitcoin?? Greed? Government? Fraud? Idiocy? on: April 29, 2021, 08:42:20 AM
Bitcoin is almost unkillable. Unless there's no more electricity to be use. Also If it's already dead then it goes without saying that the price value will be Zero. But the currest price indicate the opposite.
OP is just probably trying to spread FUD about bitcoin and you are right that bitcoin is virtually unkillable since there is electricity. To OP, how is bitcoin dead to you? Is the pump in the prices a sign that spells the death of bitcoin? If yes then probably not a lot is going to agree with you.
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nexon Purchases $100 Million Worth of Bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 08:06:03 AM
My guess is that big companies are dipping into crypto to escape from tax issues? I'm not sure about how it works in other countries but in my country, you don't pay tax YET when you buy crypto!
When they cash it out, I am sure that they are still going to get taxed for it. You can't just escape the tax bureau knowing that taxes is the lifeblood of the government and they will not be defeated easily in terms of tax evasion.
2047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk statement on his Bitcoin holding on: April 29, 2021, 07:27:14 AM
Elon musk never sell there bitcoin I'm 99.09 Sure
Any proof that will support or corroborate with that claim, there are plenty of reasons to sell bitcoin and if Elon sees it fit with his next agenda, I am sure that he will sell his bitcoin to prove a point.
2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: George Residence becomes first hotel to accept Bitcoin in Nigeria on: April 29, 2021, 05:57:37 AM
I've noticed that hotels which accept Bitcoin around the world tend to be luxurious, and I can see that this one is also like that. I don't understand why this is the case and I don't really like it because it's not like Bitcoin is largely used by rich people who can afford those hotels. Why don't places that offer affordable accommodation accept Bitcoin? Or is it because they're not ready to risk with hodling some money in BTC, whereas luxurious ones can? And also, if a place accepts BTC, it doesn't mean people will definitely use this opportunity.
You answered your question in my opinion, they have more money compared to small businesses. Not to mention that luxury hotels will look more luxurious if they are going to accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as a mode of payment. People are going to use it definitely which means that adoption is going to get bigger.
2049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: (I have not sold any bitcoins) New words from Elon Musk on: April 29, 2021, 05:18:14 AM
Elon musk tweeted his Twitter profile with his own speech, I don't sell my bitcoin which means that elon musk a viral person who already invested bitcoin and dogecoin but he didn't sell his any cryptocurrencies.
Even if he sold his bitcoin, what's that got to do with everyone in the market? Yes the prices will go down when Elon dumps his coins but we know that it will just get back up.
2050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portfolio allocation on: April 29, 2021, 04:39:16 AM
~

You could make money even if you just have TRX actually its all just a bit of timing like having dogecoin while the price is just 0.001 and you bought about $1000 of it and wait. Its a matter of waiting still even today. So if you have about $5K worth of ADA today and wait for its smart contract deployment to see where could price go then its a profit gainer.

Having 50% of BTC in a portfolio is good but it depends on how much is the worth of your whole portfolio. If its worth more than $200K then I guess you have more than 1BTC. If you only have $10K worth of your portfolio then you just have 0.09 BTC.
Really depends on your patience and if you find the timing which not a lot of people can do plus you have to wait for a long time. If you are starting, I think that it is better if you just put it all in bitcoin and then when you get a big profit, that's when you diversify your portfolio. Compared to other cryptocurrency, bitcoin shows the biggest growth in a short time.
2051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bret Lee Bitcoin charity For India" on: April 29, 2021, 03:58:36 AM
This is nice considering this forum isn't really a good place for charities. I feel bad for what happened to India but at the same time frustrated because they did it to themselves by going to an event that will definitely be packed with people, now they are suffering the consequences of a really big wave in the pandemic.
2052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portfolio allocation on: April 29, 2021, 03:17:32 AM
Congratulations on your portfolio are well done. We are in a bull market, most cryptocurrencies are increasing in value. As a novice, making an early profit is good. Think about withdrawing some of your capital back to your wallet and plan to make a profit step by step.
Could've make more money if OP put more on bitcoin since bitcoin is the biggest gainer in all of the mentioned cryptocurrency by OP. I do agree that OP should take some chunks of his/her portfolio and invest it into other things, diversification in long-term is the best course of action.
2053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Elon Musk "Smart" Tweeting Continues! on: April 28, 2021, 11:26:51 AM
With another tweet today, Dogecoin has increased by 15 percent. It's really incredible. It is surprising that people still trust this man's words. Nice coins elon.
That's how brands stay on top, they advertise look at the big stocks most of them are shilling their product and it resulted an increase in sale plus it is human behavior to follow someone's words because they have a reputation.
2054  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mixers under the threat? on: April 28, 2021, 10:43:26 AM
Mixers attract this kind of malicious activities so I guess that they should be held responsible for their actions. But I believe that they should have a lighter sentence because it's not like they have a really big involvement with the laundered money or illegal funding.
2055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin: Too Big to Fail? or Too Big to Jail? - FED Goes Full Retard or Ponzi? on: April 28, 2021, 09:59:47 AM
How is bitcoin Ponzi though, just because the new user doesn't get a lot of profit compared to the older users, it becomes a Ponzi, I don't know how you look at it but stock market works like that too and they are not a Ponzi, is there something unique to bitcoin that it is the only one that we consider a Ponzi? Well, everyone wants to win and if you stay with someone that loses then you won't get that far, I think it is human instinct to go with the winner.
2056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan to Let Clients Invest in Bitcoin Fund for First Time on: April 28, 2021, 09:18:10 AM
~
Jamie Dimon does not hate Bitcoin. What he said years ago and now are only his presentations that he and JP Morgan have big interest in Bitcoin. Their public statements change over times. Statements are different in bull and bear market from which you can conclude something, can't you?
What are you talking about? You are good with people that changes their opinion depending on the landscape of the situation. Did you have a look at the investment fund that they offer? The client doesn't have a bitcoin when they invest their, it's like a bond or something where you can't have any control as to what they are going to do.
2057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEOs will see it ... sooner or later on: April 28, 2021, 08:22:27 AM
I think there’s going to be a supply shortage shock soon. Institutions have probably been buying in secret OTC & just haven’t announced it yet. The peak of the bull run is nowhere near, we haven’t seen anything yet.
I guess we just have to wait and see, wait for things to happen then. If they are buying OTC then that means that the prices will go up because it is still part of the supply. The only way that I can think that we will survive this shock is when we accumulate bitcoin ourselves.
2058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how Bitcoin will deal with lost tokens? on: April 28, 2021, 07:33:57 AM
I suggest lost bitcoins to be allocated proportionally among all who hold bitcoins now  Grin
If we know how to recover it then probably it will be a thing but no it isn't the thing. Lost coins are coins that can't be recovered, spent or transferred. Lost coins are also responsible for the permanent increase of the prices since they are part of the limited supply.
2059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 28, 2021, 06:01:06 AM
My guess is that he himself is predicting that because that's a strong possibility and if he is right, his account would get ton of more street cred because he broke the news (not that he heeds it), and if he is wrong... Well, no one cares because it was a "rumor" anyway. I have to try that approach too.
So it is basically the safest approach of all of them because you can deny when it is wrong and you will be a prophet if it really happens. Some users say that it will not be true but who knows and Facebook suddenly changed their stance against bitcoin.
2060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan to Let Clients Invest in Bitcoin Fund for First Time on: April 28, 2021, 05:22:21 AM
Have to be careful about this one, Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan is a big opposition of bitcoin and it is not your coins and you really don't have a coin when you invest in them, there were some clauses that were present in traditional investment that were removed from the bitcoin fund. Some financial Youtubers have covered this and they all worry about it.
