2061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Litecoin forces Ethereum out of bed. on: December 13, 2017, 06:53:17 AM
Litecoin has been very impressive recently. It rose from $100 few days ago to currently trading at about $300.  Seems like Ethereum got freak out and moved up a bit. It probably knew that sitting on the old price will  attract suspicion and get investors mad. . I kind of think Ethereum should be trading $700—$3000 by now.

It alarmed them on the spot and now if things go worst it'll be probably minutes for investors to switch to other coins that are constantly rising or moving leaving the Ethereum behind. Litecoin have bursted and made it's price tripled in just weeks and it keeps on moving and that's took potential investors to barge in.
2062  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - New form of Budget for poor countries on: December 13, 2017, 05:36:58 AM
Hello guys, I often read news about poor countries and a new idea came to my mind.
Imagine countries which have budget not more than 10 billion (milliard). Usually these countries import products from other countries and use USD for this. So some of them has national currency and their exchange rate to USD often changes (sometimes on bad side). If their economy fails on some steps, it will affect a lot to people + they depend on nat currency/usd exchange rate. National bank has to sell some usd in order to lower exchange rate and make it a little bit stable but it isn't fix.
I want to say that if they officially invest in bitcoin (they had to do it some months ago).. Imagine price is 2000$, budget is in bitcoin and after some months it rised to 6000$, they get 3x budget.
But no one cares about that.. Bitcoin is a way for them to develope quickly in an ultra fast way.

It's an advantage for those countries, but how about the United States would it be advantageous to them? If then in what way? Since USD is the means of exchange for them to be able to receive imported goods. The leaders of the poor countries can't just stick their nose to Bitcoin easily, they hold the countries future, if so they failed with Bitcoins fall, then they have invested more than half of their wealth then it would be very impossible to them to get back on their knees. It's not an easy decision to make, they would put the lives of their citizen at risk (Poverty).
2063  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto following same evolution as fiat? on: December 13, 2017, 01:28:23 AM
Nope I guess.. because for crypto itself is more of a natural deflation that the price grows naturally influenced by demand and supply factors also is not influenced by the government at all. Likewise with the development or evolution that will occurring, of course since from the more natural grows., I think it obviously would be different with fiat.

Fiat was created way back centuries ago which takes us back to the origin of civilization. It took hundreds and thousands of years to and evolve, even though it existed long time ago still it was prone to fraudulent activities. While digital currencies has anonymity over the the users and created a while ago and evolving faster than fiat. It's not likely to be a monetary system for now, it's still gaining acceptance for most developed countries.
2064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin will kill alt coins on: December 11, 2017, 09:41:30 PM
Bitcoin does not seem to stop growing

2018 Altcoin is dead

Take it easy, how can you be so sure that it will kill altcoins? Maybe your are talking of reducing altcoins market price when Bitcoin price increases, but the word kill is far from happening as exchanges wont be profitable anymore to traders, as you can see it's one factors that shakes BTC's price, the whales.
2065  Economy / Economics / Re: Remember when this looked like the end of the world? on: December 11, 2017, 08:09:32 PM
I was remembering the good old times and saw this:

Back then, a lot of people sold their bitcoins, and never came back. These people are of course hating themselves for life. People like this:

This guy saw a huge, unsustainable bubble at $15, the price went as high as $30+ before the correction. These are the type of guys that are perma-bears and hate people that held it and will try to make you dump just to feel better about how wrong they were.

And also realize how the % of volatility has went down a lot, even with the current ups and downs.

Study the price and the perspective that people had back then to get a better picture.

They are dragging us down and hoping we repeat their sorrowful mistakes, thanks to them we have gained knowledge about how they will blabber and force holders to sell their Bitcoins. Can't they just be permanently gone and leave the rest to us, if they could not forget those days, why not just shut their mouths and watch us until they die of jealousy.
2066  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying clothes with bitcoins? on: December 11, 2017, 06:54:21 PM
Just checked the prices and its quite low, did anyone tryed to purchase something at this, and about the fee of transport, does those website send international?

The price of the products were low and at discounted price and their design is good. The problem is if the transport fees are not free , I bet it's more expensive than the price of the item. As for me I am living in SEA (Philippines). I don't know trusted sites to shop clothes using Bitcoin as a payment, but I do know some known hotel accepts BTC as payment using coins.ph.
2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is next Ethereum? on: December 11, 2017, 01:53:17 PM
Which coin is going to be next Ethereum?

I heard a lot of people saying Waves could be the next Ethereum.

I'm looking to hold plenty of a coin which could be next Ethereum.

I am also thinking about that right now. Waves has smaller fees as of now but the only thing is most of it's features are in development and some others are not still available. Either way I am thinking to hold for at least 50 or more. The earlier Ethereum congestion put doubts in their mind.
2068  Economy / Economics / Re: Threat to Crypto Currencies on: December 10, 2017, 07:07:45 PM
They are already doing it. Some governments have announced that they will issue their own cryptocurrency and many banks are behind some crypto. In that way, many alts can be threatened but Bitcoin is different because it has a limit of 21 million coins to be issued and because it is decentralized, so it has something to offer that the other cryptos can’t.

For me, governments and banks issuing cryptos is not as dangerous as most of the G20 group countries passing a hard ban on bitcoin.

The Google, Facebook, and Amazon are more dangerous than the government if they decided to implement their own cryptocurrencies. These big companies are trusted by consumers all around world, they have the money and power to make a coin of their own and dominate the market. These companies are influential enough to turn the tides, I just don't know when, or rather it already started like what tether is about now.
2069  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 things that influence bitcoin price that nobody ever talks about on: December 10, 2017, 03:30:08 PM
That`s how a speculation bubble works.Smart traders sell their overrated assets/currencies to excited newbie traders ,who think that the price will increase forever. The price does down and all the new traders who enter the market just loose the money they have invested into buying the assets. This will happen with btc some day.
Anyway, your title is wrong.People are talking about Bitfinex fraud, electricity costs and USDT all the time and discuss their influence over the btc price.

There are few people or newbies would invest big money just to sell it right away and lose it. Newcomers of course would study or the thing is they have backgrounds how Bitcoin works. Putting it to myself I won't trust someone that I have just recently met. Those people who you are talking about will be the most dumbest people in the world, well if they ever exist.
2070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins to buy now? on: December 10, 2017, 02:05:44 PM
As you know Bitcoin is down, alts are down, which is cheap and best alt to buy now?

I will recommend you to buy waves, even though Bitcoin and most of alts are red, still waves stays at $8-$9. I don't know why and I am happy with that as I hold some waves. As you can see the top 10 coins in coinmarketcap yesterday was all red and it's sores the eyes, very disappointing.
2071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens to alternative cryptocurrencies IF Bitcoin "Bubble" breaks?(assume) on: December 10, 2017, 12:48:40 PM
I think if Bitcoin bubble breaks some will move to buy altcoins and I think that moment ethereum would be listed in number 1( assume).

You could be right, there appears to be no real bitcoin news projects. While increasing fees are adding pressure on current bitcoin. But since Bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrencies. If Bitcoin goes down, most alts will bleed, it will spend years to recover it's trust and we don't want that, if it loses face, all others will too.
2072  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to install a Bitcoin ATM in my city? on: December 10, 2017, 08:30:50 AM
I would do a quick google search on some already established bitcoin atm companys. I am lucky enough to have 2 bitcoin ATMs within 10 miles of my house, so it is possible to to. Contact some of these companys and I'm sure they can point you in the right direction on what you need to do. Good luck!

We should put this in consideration, this might become big in the near future as crypto community is getting larger. Why not make a thread regarding this issue. People who are expert in installing BTC ATM should be encorage to make a thread.
Me myself is interested in investing in this kind of business, there's still no Atm for BTC in my city and I am thinking also where I could get it. Trusted escrow agents will mediate the transactions.
2073  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: has trading become difficult? on: December 10, 2017, 06:54:16 AM
These days the bitcoin prices are rising and falling over 1000$ in just minutes and have become highly unpredictable way more than before.
Does this make trading more difficult right now?

It became difficult these recent days, BTC decrease such large amounts in minutes makes harder for us to predict,
why do so many people lose money when it looks so easy? I am looking for another strategy. Trading is tough; the only way to become successful is with hard work, lots of research and lots practice. Hope we don't go broke.

2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think any other coin will take Bitcoin place someday? on: December 10, 2017, 05:43:50 AM
Yes, you are right that being the first does not necessarily mean being the top1, but bitcoin has provided tangible proof that no alt can replace it. We see that bitcoin is increasingly in demand by many people and its trading volume is always big and top 1.

There is no proof that no altcoin can surpass Bitcoin. Altcoins have very good prospects, it gained a strong position on the market and it is not just only some reserves. BTC is in first position but if nothing changes I predict it will go the way of  and be outpaced by other newer coins.
2076  Economy / Speculation / Re: YOU ARE ALL STUPID - SELL NOW on: December 10, 2017, 04:06:00 AM
SELLING NOW WOULD BE THE EQUIVELENT TO THOSE WHO SOLD WHEN IT DIPPED TO $1,800 IN JUNE

There so many dumb people lately telling you what to do even though you are much experienced than them. Don't be fooled by your eyes mate, it's normal for Bitcoin or even alts to go that way.  Unless you plan to quit investing in cryptocurrency, Bitcoins are still significant to the crypto market.
2077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: are the majority of the people part time traders? on: December 09, 2017, 07:18:23 PM
I mean of all the people who are trading do majority just do it as a side job for just a little profit or most of the traders dedicated traders who don't have any side jobs?
What type of trader are you?

I am a night trader who doesn't have side jobs. I trade only if there is a sure profit and if the price of the coin that I bought keeps falling, then I do nothing and wait for it to rise again even though it's risky. I am ready for the outcomes, win or lose. Soon I'll look for a decent job and make trading as part time.
2078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell all your Bitcoin? on: December 09, 2017, 06:29:29 PM
I understand where the respondents are coming from.

But I am not looking to book profit, holding my BTC for the long term. Unless there is a need for money, otherwise I will prefer to keep my BTC.

Same here, I have not made a fortune out of it yet, I want to earn more than I could ever imagine, I am not investing in some others shitcoins, but I do have my reserved of fiat. People are selling it now at low price and that's what we need, buy it at low price and soon it will rise again. I'll wait for years and see what happens.
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum computer will kill bitcoin on: December 09, 2017, 03:06:01 PM
If you mean Quantum computers are going to be able to crack SHA256 then this will not only kill crypto currencies.
All bank securities are running on SHA256 and SHA512 then this will be end of the ecosystem and this will not happen.

Typical case of someone opening a thread who doesn't really understand what he is talking about

An alarming post, if this is for real what would happen to the world. I guess it's not real, if it is real deal then they won't bother telling you that Bitcoin wallet are not safe anymore and can be cracked down with super computers. Well if I owned computers like that I would slowly drain your accounts and you would never know what happened. There is a reason why they  have said that and not to warn people but put fears in them and might sell their Bitcoin at low price, who knows.
2080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Benefit from possible BTC dive? on: December 09, 2017, 01:22:47 PM
usually a bitcoin drop creates as much chaos as its rise makes.

in cases like this i prefer not to get too involved with the market specially getting involved with altcoins. and i keep to it at least for a while until i can see some solid movement somewhere then come in to invest in it.

and it is impossible to say which coin is going to rise if bitcoin drops too. for example after the recent drop, LTC suddenly went up nearly 60%

I have watched LTC increase dramatically and my mistake was not buying the coin instead I bought some ethereum using BTC when I saw it was dropping from $16k. It's really hard to predict which coin to buy when BTC drops, I also don't engage in signals even though they are free. We all have our own intuitions, it's just a matter of right or wrong.
