I agree with you. This is going to be the most exciting match of this round of the Europa League. And I would also expect Leipzig's victory. Liverpool is not supposed to surprise you in Epl since 5 seasons ago. Liverpool has been performing very well in Epl, infact it use to sadden me that they will have upto 90 points in the league and yet will not win the league because of Manchester City that will have upto 100 points. At anytime Liverpool is not supposed to surprise anyone. Though they are not the champions of England but I use to consider them as champions.
Liverpool have been quite well built under hands and management of Klopp. They are harvesting very last seasons at top of Salah, Mane, Firmino, Henderson career and Salah looks probably to leave Merseyside in next summer. He does not want to renew his contract if Liverpool don't satisfy his salary demand. Klopp knows that it is not easy to replace those players in a single season so he has prepared for it by gradually signing with a few attacking players. Even so to fully replace those players and maintain the same good or better performance is not easy. I always have this feeling that Liverpool is better than Manchester City, I don't know why.
In most seasons, Manchester City perform better than Liverpool. Results and titles in last 10 seasons of Premier League show us this fact. |
