Chelsea is overall a good team, it's just a bit about the turmoil they went through which caused a little bit of trouble and now they are getting back to normal.
They already have good players, good team and likely a good coach too. They don't have to buy new players to be a good team but with chaos in their club, they might need a little bit time to bring everything back to normality, a new normality under a new owner. Remember, there was a period last year where they couldn't even feel sure about going to their games because their assets were frozen due to ownership sanctions, and they still did it with permissions and all but no team would be great when there is a discussion about them having their assets frozen like that. They have a totally new owner now and they are doing much better but that doesn't change the fact that they are doing something much better in the long run which is all that matters.
This chaos results in uncertainty in their clubs and their players had uncertainty about their future which affected their minds and performances too. Now it looks like things are not too bad for Chelsea and their players. It would be time for their players to actually fight for big aims in this season. Top four in Premier League is important and must be achieved. If they fail with this mission, many players will be sold in the summer transfer. Champions League is so competitive but Chelsea can fight and in the past, they suddenly won two Champions League. They can repeat it even in this chaotic season. |

For the first half of the Bundesliga it looks competitive in terms of competition from each team, but for the second half it still can't be said to be competitive because the matches haven't started yet. Now for Dortmund itself actually the team would be good if they didn't often sell the best players to other clubs, because Dortmund only needed to change the concept by targeting victory and champions in the competition without thinking about how much money they could get by selling the best players to other teams.
In second half of season, teams usually have more problems than in a first half. Especially in this season with World Cup 2022 was hosted in middle of season that causes players more tired, exhausted and they might have more injuries in rest of the season. Even if they won't get injuries, they will have less energetic performances and likely worse quality in their performances. Small teams have less players participated in World Cup 2022 so they will have better preparation for second half of season. Bigger teams will have to face with player exhaustion, injuries in second half and combine these things, for me it is hard to say how Bundesliga will end in this season. Take a look on Neymar in PSG and everything will look normal with yellow card followed by a red one  Neymar case is not too weird. In some cases, players were substituted and a few minutes on field, they were sent out by a direct red card or by 2 yellow cards. Even they did not drop too much sweats before have to take a bath too early before their team-mates. ATM managed to get 3 points and that's the important point. The number of red cards in that game was more than the goals scored BTW.
For me, Bilbao and Betis was more challenging and the draw in that match made ATM jump to the 3rd place alone.
They played well and their system worked too smooth but they must increase their accuracy to score more goals. Elche are weak but with stronger teams, Atletico Madrid won't have too many opportunities so rate of conversion from expected goals is important. |

Even during Messi's last season at Barcelona, Barcelona was no longer like when they have Xavi and Iniesta, Barcelona started to rebuild. They can't rely on tiki-taka anymore, especially when Real Madrid and many other teams know how to break this tactic. So, I don't think Barcelona is regrouped because of Messi's departure, it is because the old tiki-taka era is over.
It's true that in a last few seasons of Messi in Barcelona, their quality was lower than what they had in the past with Pep Guardiola and Luiz Enrique as their coaches and with better players, Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Eto'o, Suarez, Neymar ... The transfer of Neymar to PSG marks a decreasing quality of Barcelona. After that Messi carried Barcelona from scoring goals, making key passes, creating chances, controlling match intensity for them. Anyway as a single player, Messi could not bring them to success. Their defense was worse than in the past too. What Xavi (as a coach) rebuilt now, is a new tiki-taka era since it needs some improvement. Old tiki-take only works when Barcelona has the combination of Xavi-Iniesta-Messi. IMO
Xavi is still obsessed with tiki-taka that he is familiar with but he does not have enough ingredients to build a good one with players he has. I don't see too much different in Xavi tiki taka and the past one. Barcelona are playing more directly and using more physical strength in attacking but not different than in the past. I dont know if Christopher Nkunku will be playing that much in the second half of the season.
Even when he will going to Chelsea there are some time he can make some good games for Leipzig , saddly i guess not against Bayern Munich.
The injury can change his career to a negative direction but of course I wish best things for Nkunku. He is still young and he must be stronger from this injury to return. Getting an injury is never easy but some players with more serious injuries like Aaron Ramsey still managed to return and had good career. With this injury record, he will have smaller opportunity to join Chelsea because it becomes more risky for them to buy him. Players will bad injury records might never be able to return to their best. I looking forward what kind of player Leipzig will be get to replace Nkunku in the next season.

Cody Gakpo show a good performance for Netherlands in the world cup, but we don't know about his performance in Liverpool. What if Gakpo is similar like Nunez? Nunez was a sharp striker in Benfica, but he doesn't a same performance when he joined Liverpool.
Gakpo performed well in PSV too and he has good statistics for PSV. His performance for Netherlands in World Cup 2022 is a confirmation for his ability and his value increases because of this. Many big clubs hesitated to buy him before World Cup 2022 but now if they want to buy him, cost would be more expensive. Anyway, he already joined Liverpool so if other big clubs want him, they will have to wait. Liverpool is always gambling to get a new attacker, one of them is Nunez and now, try to gamble with Gakpo. I followed this guy in PSV, he is the top scorer on Eredivisie and Ajax is also interesting to him. but, he have good motivated to play on the big club, I believe Liverpool is his dream for long time. But, we know, premier league is not he same like eredivisie, he will get hard competition between outside and inside club. if lose shine he will get the same as another player.
I disagree with them by the expensive transfer for Nunez but in the past, they succeeded with many attacking players, Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota, Diaz. They are all good players for Liverpool and did performed well for them. The expensive transfer for Nunez is insane and it can be a start of uncontrolled transfer strategy in Liverpool. I don't think so. Messi when at Barca had the incredible support of a strong Barca midfield. there is Iniesta who commands all the ball flow forward or when they defend.

In World Cup 2022, he is a leader of Argentina and not only scored goals for them but he controlled match intensity for them, motivated other players and contributed assists for them too. Xavi no doubt, is obsessed of tiki taka so that he really wants to direct Barcelona to tiki taka as much as he can. |
