You can join the discussion in Fix the money - fix the world as I saw your topic is for same discussion.

I quote my reply in that topic.
I love Bitcoin but I don't love that slogan. Bitcoin is Bitcoin and its most important mission is giving people freedom of what they own (be their own banks) and better if they invest smartly they will get financial freedom too.

I disagree with statements to over emphasize missions of Bitcoin. It is not here to fix everything on Earth. It is unable to fix local or global economics or social, politics problems and other issues in other areas.

To make Bitcoin more friendly with the crowd, I don't think we should spread that statement that can makes side effects.
Bitcoin does not fix everything and yeah that time will never come., such too aggressive motto can make people who have yet been Bitcoiners or Bitcoin Maximalists will hate Bitcoin more.

I do like a softer motto. Bitcoin is your freedom and is a gate to your financial free.
1222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 23, 2023, 02:05:26 AM
Messi isn't Neymar or Bale who seeks money rather than anything else so they will not move when they found a better opportunity with lower salary.
Messi was forced to quit Barcelona but I think he will return whenever he finds that PSG is a hopeless team, especially when it gets sacked from Champions League. Losing Ligue 1 will be a no way to stay message in his head.
Bale is even more professional than Neymar but after some injuries, he lost his best form and started to derail from football and less professional. Neymar is always like this, he is one of most genius players after Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi but his career is impacted by his lack of professional and his unluckiness by many injuries around important matches or tournaments.

Messi is different, I agree, but with all unhappy experience in last few seasons in Barcelona and bitter feeling when he left Barca, it is very impossible to see Messi returns to their club. He might not continue his career in Europe and moving to Saudi like Ronaldo is very good for his family. Playing there two or three more seasons and earning huge salary is a dream for many player.

Messi does not have to prove anything else about his ability in football.

1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 23, 2023, 01:50:02 AM
So I decided to sell my bicycle and invest in bitcoins. But since investing, the Bitcoin market has gradually started to decline. I invested with a small amount of money and from that small amount of money I lost like 5 dollars. But I am optimistic that I will definitely benefit from the amount I have invested.
What did you plan to to next after selling your bicycle for your first Bitcoin investment?

I think you should have better plans, work to get salary and use part of it as your savings but rather than savings, you invest it in Bitcoin. With this gradual accumulation, you are doing dollar cost averaging too.

https://dcabtc.com/

Bitcoin is in its bear market and any price you buy in a bear market is a great discount in a next bull run.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 22, 2023, 02:52:50 AM
Of course, Real Madrid must spend a lot of money if they still want Mbappe. But I agree that Mbappe deserves to be paid huge money since he is one of the best strikers in the world and he is still young, too. I am sure Real Madrid will take a big advantage if they successfully sign Mbappe in the next transfer window. Having Mbappe, Real Madrid attacking line will be very strong for the next season. And Real Madrid won't be afraid of their main striker for the next 10 years, Mbappe has a long future since he is still 24 years old.
I don't think Real Madrid actually need to have Mbappe. They already have Vini Jr. and Rodrygo who can play very good at two swings and can grow their skills more. Additionally and importantly, Mbappe does not want to play at the center or as a striker that is exactly what Real Madrid need to replace Benzema in one or two more years. So what are reasons for Real Madrid to spend big money for Mbappe and he will not want to play at a position they need at most?

Quote
However, the problem is how to ensure PSG releases Mbappe. I think it will be difficult to negotiate with PSG, they will try to keep Mbappe as long as possible.
PSG have enough money and crazy offers to keep Mbappe but the player himself has due diligent reasons to leave and can leave PSG if he want.

It was just close and it was rejected even by Mbappe himself by choosing the abundance of money and authority that PSG gave to Mbappe.
At the moment, is Madrid going to take action that really isn't really necessary, in my opinion, because regardless of trying to approach Mbappe, it just seems like they haven't found any other options.
They can find each other in future but Real Madrid tried to say they are longer interested in Mbappe. However we don't know the truth behind their statements. They might send another to Mbappe if they see he is no longer happy in PSG and they can get him from a free transfer.

Quote
I know Mbappe is one of the best now but it does seem forced to just go back to Mbappe again and again.
He is not a player who can play well in all matches and against all situations. He needs his team-mates and good tactics to serve him playing well.
1226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 22, 2023, 02:25:19 AM
I was kind of confused little about something, someone walk on to me and was telling me that in trading it has his season when you profit from it and I asked him how but he didn't say anything.
I want to to be satisfied with trade having it season of profit?
Trading season is when you see waves on the market. If the market is boring, it's no task for traders. They can hang out, fishing, playing whatever things to refresh their body and mind.

If the market does not have waves, don't trade. When it has waves, you can start to trade but it is not true to say a profitable trading season because a market has its zero sum game. If you are winner, others are losers in a same market.

In a same season, it is a profitable trading season for some traders but it is a lost trading season for others.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: February 21, 2023, 01:57:18 AM
So, let's think wildly, one day US were to further increase the censorship just like some of the other countries in the world, they ban bitcoin, they ban VPN, they pass legislation for those who mine/trade/spend btc will be sent to jail.
Let's say governments won't ban everything especially in non communism countries and countries that have freedom, democracy and no dictator. Governments will get a lot of debates in their nations, even inside their Congress their will be supporters for Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. Don't worry.

Quote
Other countries start to follow.
Not all nations will follow big countries like the USA. Small nations like El Salvador have their own social, politics and economics conditions. They have to choose their best ways to cool down their national debts, economic crisis and they will be first nations that make big changes globally. They don't have big power like big nations but they are countries that will initiate new trends.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prosecutors seize SBF’s $50M deposit to small bank on: February 21, 2023, 01:51:32 AM
So, Mister "I have only $100k" got just another $50M seized by procecutors from a small bank.

Now what i am wondering is that is this the last nail for SBH's credibility as he just clearly lied about not having money. Or will there be more to come?
There's still money missing, so where is it? And how wasn't injecting $50 million to small bank suspicious and biggest red flag to regulators? Or were they paid off to look another way?
I am starting to have hard time to have any sympathy left for SBF
SBF is a serial liar. What is fairness on Earth when the owner of Tornado Cash has to spend time in jail but SBF after making one of biggest fraud in history that affected lives of many people globally, can stay at his parent's home and play games? It's a myth around SBF and the USA. government.

From $100k to $50M, it is a big lie and I agree that no way to convince me and others to believe in or feel sympathetic for SBF.

I am guessing that him having just 100k is both true and wrong at the same time because of these news. It's probably true in a way that he probably only has "access" to 100k, meaning this 50 million that was seized? He wouldn't be able to touch it even if it wasn't seized, and that means it wasn't him to use even if he wanted to.

Is this true? Is this a fact? Absolutely not, I am just guessing, maybe he is a bad person, which wouldn't shock me considering he lost billions, and just pure lying to get out of jail. In any case, all the money that is under his name and under FTX assets should be seized to pay the victims of this bankruptcy back, would only be right.
Me too. I was very doubtful that he was seriously bankrupted and had only $100k left in his bank accounts (all accounts, not one account I mean).

The media around SBF case is strange too. They seem to write and spread stories to reduce seriousness of SBF case and tells us stories that fiasco is not because of SBF and it is not his responsibility. Weird media but maybe it is a massive plan to protect SBF.
1229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tournament gave 25 bitcoins as prize to last places on: February 21, 2023, 01:43:19 AM
25 bitcoins , lol even if its 1 bitcoin is more than enough to take home today .
It is iconic but it was hosted in 2011. In that year, blockchain and cryptocurrency was smaller than now and Bitcoin is like a shit coin in eyes of the crowd. I am sure if you had sent bitcoins to someone in 2011, most of they would have either not cared about it or sold it instantly to get a few bucks.

I am so sure that if I receive 25 BTC in 2011, I would not care to save it, its private key and likely I lost it in the air too. Like people claimed 50 BTC from the first Bitcoin faucet by Gavin Andresen.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts Blood Bath for Feb? on: February 20, 2023, 01:44:05 AM
We are still in bear season, so if there is no drop in February, it will happen this year so instead of expecting it not to happen, we need to prepare when it happens. Sometimes it's not so bad for bitcoin to fall back and the market to crash again. Assuming bitcoin drops to $17k this month, that would be an opportunity for those who want to own more bitcoin for cheap. I'm ready for anything because the bears haven't disappeared yet, so surprises can happen anytime.
I see a fractal for Bitcoin in 2019 and 2023 and it's possible to see Bitcoin move higher to $30,000 but I found a more important point. In 2019, after a good mini run, Bitcoin was pulled back and it ended 2019 with not too higher price than where it started.

I see it is safer to not bet that Bitcoin will rise more in 2023 and try to bet with higher risk in altcoins. If Bitcoin was pulled back, altcoins will be in blood path again. They are recovering and pumping too much from their bottoms.

If Bitcoin rises to $30,000, I will wait to see its pull back and can buy it about $25,000 again because I believe in fractals and it can not rise straightly to $69,000 in 2023.
1231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need to better understand what market cap means on: February 20, 2023, 01:35:38 AM
Bitcoin vs. Altcoins – projected Marketcap

Different marketcap terms but you must be careful when using or believing in marketcap. With altcoin projects that have very wild volatility, their marketcap can change quickly from the moon to the hell. If you are in a bear market, you will see how potential projects in bull market will be tested by the bear and those project marketcaps will be divided many times even more worse than your imagination.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Altcoins in the AI & Big data category become more popular in 2023? on: February 20, 2023, 01:22:46 AM
I have ignored defi-NFT-ICO/IPO-staking/MN things hence this time also I will simply skip this new trend and will focus on my usual pattern on investments. I have seen some people are making good money along with the new type of hype in alternate cryptocurrency market but I never find anything safer method of interesting to keep going in my crypto life. My main moto is always securing my capital rather than looking for multiplying my capital.
AI have been developed many years ago but recent months we see more AI companies engage in cryptocurrency market. They can be companies that actually are building up AI products for society and if they are, it's good. I am worrying about the newest trend of likely dead projects want to revise themselves and their products from previous failed products to AI products. I am very doubtful that those companies will be able to make good AI products for society. They only join the trend and go with another trend.

You did right things by ignoring DeFi, NFT, ICO, IPO, Staking, Masteternode projects.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 19, 2023, 02:59:35 AM
Top clubs won in this round so far without problems.
There is Atalanta, Juve, Lazio and Roma that have yet to play and were expected to win too indeed.
Those clubs will have to play with pressure from these previous results. If they can not win their matches, they will fall more behind Napoli, Inter Milan and AC Milan that is not what they want.

Atalanta, Roma and Lazio are in top four race but Juventus situation is like Liverpool in Premier League, if they win next 3 to 4 matches, they can see chance to join top four if above clubs won't have too good performances.

Quote
Napoli has to win in 10 games out of 15 to be declared winner of the scudetto which is likely to occur seeing their actual performance.
It is requirement for Napoli if other clubs have max performances but I am doubtful that other clubs will have perfect results. If Napoli can win about 7 to 8 more matches, maybe it will be enough for them to take Scudetto.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin NFTs Challenge the Blockchain’s Largest Use Case: Money on: February 19, 2023, 02:46:55 AM
They are weak in money flow, cash flow. Without healthy cash flow, I am sure with you that those projects will fail. If inflow is less than outflow, token will be dumped. GameFi, NFT, Metaverse projects have yet successfully solved the cash flow issue.

You can see those tokens can have pumps in early weeks or months but later when hype is gone, selling pressure is high, their cash flow is broken and token can be dumped many times.

It is about their cash flow model, inflation control and it is not about the blockchain their project is based on. Blockchain can be Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Harmony or Bitcoin but blockchain does not control inflation in those games.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 19, 2023, 02:36:33 AM
Arsenal's win against Aston Villa has really boosted Arsenal's morale. There was a lot of fighting between the two teams throughout the match. Aston Villa did not give up Arsenal at the top of the league table for a moment. Aston kept a 2-1 lead until 61 minutes. Oleksandr Zinchenko lost the lead but the hosts had a chance to end the match with a point. But Aston Villa lost that opportunity due to the suicide goal of Emiliano Martinez. Arsenal regained the top spot in this victory with Aston Villa.
Arsenal reacted strongly after a defeat by Manchester City and they did not give up until last minutes of the match against Aston Villa. They seriously played for three points and worked hard to get it. This won match means a lot for Arsenal because they already create 2 points gap against Manchester City but also have one match to play and can expand the gap to five points.

Quote
Also, defending champions Manchester City are 2 points behind after playing the same match. But Manchester City can overtake Arsenal at any time.
Manchester City created their trouble again. If Arsenal expand the gap to five points, Manchester City will again face with big risk to lose Premier League.

Liverpool has get important winning from Newcastle that finally Nunez can scored goal again and during this season only Liverpool who can able to beat Newcastle twice and besides that i have been notice Alisson Becker has outstanding performance because at least he has blocked 3 shots attempts from Newcastle players and Liverpool currently at 8th with 6 points difference with 4th places Newcastle
But there is a bad news for Liverpool fans that apparently Nunez had a problem with his shoulder and first speculation is he will be missed the match against Real Madrid on champion league
Nunez and Gakpo again scored goals for Liverpool and Liverpool again won against Newcastle United. So far in this season, they are the only club can win against Newcastle United.

Now Liverpool have 6 points less than Newcastle United but they have played one match less than Newcastle United. With 6 points less and one more match, Liverpool can begin to smell the air of top four. Newcastle United have an impressive season but they might end it without top four like Leicester City a few seasons ago.
1236  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 18, 2023, 02:51:28 AM
Yes, and the Curacao laws demand to check the identity of customers if the amount involved exceeds 1,500 Euro.

This also applies in case of deposits and losses.

But they can not collect KYC data against the will of a customer if not covered by the general Curacao laws!

If I deposit 25 USD and win 75 USD there is neither a fraudulent activity nor a financial criminal activity.
KYC can be applied by many reasons. It is not restricted for case when exceeding 1,500 Euro.

Honestly did you read Roobet's ToS or FAQ especially points about KYC?

You can read Termination point in Terms and conditions of Roobet. I believe they detected something suspicious and probably fraudulent activities against their site.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My List of Altcoins - Discussion and Predictions on: February 18, 2023, 02:40:04 AM
Cryptocurrency market has very bullish months since late of 2022 till today, middle of February 2023.

A really big and important question is has the market started its new bull run cycle?

I believe the market has yet begun its new bull run cycle by that I meant it has been in a dead cat bounce or better in one of tests for bottom. Bottom is around there but has yet been confirmed. Market will have to be retested two or three times that means we will likely see it fall to bottom area one or two more times. I believe it will do retest not only one but likely two times.

In bear market, it is bad to jump into altcoins and predictions with altcoins then pick them for your portfolio. It's better for you to pick them after bottom is in and market turns to bullish again.

When will it be bullish by a new bull cycle? Look at Bitcoin.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts Blood Bath for Feb? on: February 18, 2023, 02:34:12 AM
I'm just looking at charts of ETH and other altcoins rn and I feel like we're in for another blood bath.  And February could end up bad with most alts ending in red for the month.
In next 24 to 48 hours, the market can have a very serious turning point. It can be a start of something worse for altcoins next week, altcoins will be bleeding a lot and they will be in another blood bath next week. I agree with you tokeweed.

Quote
I'm not sure what's going on and what's causing most of the market's volatility but it's not looking good guys.  Whales look like they're running stops then shorting the market themselves..  Does anybody what's up with the sudden change in sentiment?
It is not good signal from whales who can manipulate the market. I think market will tilt a lot in next hours but generally if we are not sure what will a next movement of market, it is very safely to exit position and wait for market movement and confirmation of its next trend before opening new positions.

Safety first. Safely protect our capital is most important. Market is always here and we can join it many times in future.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: February 17, 2023, 03:09:50 AM
Ronaldo is the main reason for this thread no doubt, but also, he on his own is not a team or a club so every one who is interested in watching Donald is also interested in watching other players or teams that are related to Ronaldo.
people are now potential fans of Al Nasri because of Ronaldo, for that they will not be happy to see Al Nasr lose if Ronaldo is not featured in the game, meaning that apart from Ronald, they also find interest in the league and clubs involved.
Ronaldo is like a game changer for Saudi Professional League and he is like David Beckham in MLS years ago. They both are very famous football players with so huge fan communities and effects they brought to those leagues are uncountable.

David Beckham changed MLS a lot but so far the USA. national team have yet achieved better results in World Cup tournaments. Maybe their citizens and players are not too good with football.

Saudi Arabia national team just made a big shock in World Cup 2022 by beating Argentina but they failed to go to Round of 16. The appearance of Cristiano in Saudi can help their league attract more star players in future and he can be another Zico who actually changed Japanese football.

Zico: Brazilian idol and the godfather of Japanese football

Many Middle East national leagues attract star players from Europe to join them recent years but their leagues and national teams have not changed too much. Maybe Cristiano Ronaldo can help them to make big changes and achieve something in future.
1240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 17, 2023, 01:56:27 AM
Between future and spot trading which will you opt in for.
Spot trading!

Quote
For me i think it is better to start with spot trading gradually observe how the market respond over time before moving into future trading.
Observe the market and actually trade in the market are so difference. Trading with spot and future are different. Trading with small fund and with big fund are very different.

If you can not get profit from Spot trading with small fund, don't do it with big fund as you will lose big.
If you can not be good with Spot trading, don't move to Future trading because you will lose fund more easily and more quickly.

Quote
Spot can be a nice start for newbies from what i have seen from the market so far. Since it only entails buying and holding until the asset appreciates just that it will only require patience since little or no technical skill is needed although with technical skill the trader can have more advantage over the market.
With Spot market, if you trade Bitcoin and have a bad position, you don't lose anything. Hold your bitcoin and wait for its recovery even it can take a few months. You will not be able to do this with Future trading. Liquidation will knock your doors and you funds will be liquidated by exchanges.
