2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: April 26, 2021, 03:57:05 AM
I don't know what is their problem with physical casinos, when online gambling is allowed. Also, it would be wrong to say that all forms of gambling are banned in the UAE, since lotteries are very popular there. The Big Ticket Lottery raffle of Abu Dhabi and Millennium Millionaire lottery of Dubai are famous all over the world. How can they claim to be closed to gambling, when they are allowing these lotteries? BTW, the Emirati lotteries are some of the best in the world, as almost the entire amount collected from the ticket sales goes in to the prize pool.
I think the reason for their prohibition of physical gambling is that they are against the teachings of Islam, it's not that easy to wonder why online gambling is not that frowned upon, that is because it will be difficult to catch them on the act. The reason that lottery is allowed is because like any other countries, it is a way to make money for the state.
2082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BENEFIT OF BITCOINTALK ORGANISATION IN AFRICA. on: April 25, 2021, 06:23:46 AM
The benefits of bitcoin talk organizations in Africa and other countries, it really really helps their economy there, they don't need to work outside the heat of the rain, they just sit back and relax at home playing the internet and can make money, bitcointalk is very, very helpful for our economy in the future. pandemic ... thanks to bitcoin talk ..
That is if they have the rank to make money on this forum but considering that it is really difficult to rank up here, I don't necessarily agree with it, it is more if you have rank then you can probably make money via signature campaigns. Other ways to make money needs that you have a skill or a product.
2083  Economy / Economics / Re: Former Employees From Major South Korean Firms Quit Their Jobs After Pocketing M on: April 25, 2021, 05:44:09 AM
I read the news and found out that they might have won big on crypto investing. The companies did not disclose the reason for their resignation. I don't know how long they'll benefit from their investment, but giving up a job is also about giving up a career skill. Hopefully, they won't lose any of the money they won.
It is a really big decision to do for someone who earns money and not to mention that South Korean cities are the most expensive cities to live in. That's our only way to help them, hope that they don't regret their decision.
2084  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe history repeat itself? Economic wise. on: April 24, 2021, 12:08:01 PM
If people continues to ignore what happened in the past and didn't learn a thing or two about it and how can they prevent the same thing from happening then probably we are going to repeat history itself. Continuous ignorance will be the demise of our species as a human.
2085  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: April 24, 2021, 11:08:12 AM
I think central banks will live for a long time to come. Bitcoin will simply become part of the system. Already, Paypal has added cryptocurrency as a means of payment. Apple Pay and Google Pay also add cryptocurrency as a means of payment. It just stents another asset and will not displace central banks and fiat currencies.
This is the ideal thing to happen but in a way it deviates from the true purpose of bitcoin when it integrates with banks, if it integrates then what bitcoin aims to eliminate which is the middle man is going to become a part of it again.
2086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Should Crypto Domains Be Better Utilised: www.bitcoin.name on: April 24, 2021, 10:07:07 AM
The owner of the site is harming his reputation by displaying inappropriate images like what's showing on his domain, I don't see any relevancy on the image, maybe he likes adult content, the site has good content but it's not something that decent people will choose to stay and read those articles, someone has to message the owner so he'll know what visitors and readers are thinking.
I don't think so, if the owner of the site was purposefully putting that image, I am pretty sure that the owner won't be plastering his/her real name on that site. I think there should be a regulation regarding websites and it's content even though it looks like it clashes with freedom of speech, just because you are free to say something doesn't mean that you can't be held accountable to it.
2087  Other / Meta / Re: Do Banned users stand a chance of been reconsidered or been appealed for on: April 24, 2021, 09:18:58 AM
I think that it depends because most bans seems to have a reason for it and to prove otherwise is a daunting task for the banned user. I have read some appeals from here and there and most of the users are ruthless against these appeals especially if they deem it heinous in forum standards.
2088  Other / Meta / Re: Hacked account got banned on: April 24, 2021, 07:56:31 AM
As other users have pointed out, you have to provide evidence that you are the owner and I have to say that this is a lesson for you because if you have the right credentials that only the owner could know then you wouldn't be hassled by the slow progress of recovery. Your other issue is a ban which I hope can be appealed and have it lifted but I don't know any users that have gone that path and got their bans lifted.
2089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees are so high right now. What's next? on: April 24, 2021, 06:14:18 AM
Bitcoin prices grew strongly compared to a few years ago, leading to Bitcoin's transaction fees are very high. I was really difficult to trading Bitcoin during this time when I wanted to transfer a small amount of Bitcoin which I had to fee doubled. I hope it will soon be resolved.
You can still use different coins to evade the high transaction fees. But it is not a good long-term solution but there is hope that we will be able to lower that transaction fees in the future.
2090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem is that it could take again many years to recover on: April 24, 2021, 05:03:43 AM
It doesn't matter if it takes years to recover after the sell-off, I see it as an opportunity to buy more for a longer period of time. With that, I can accumulate more Bitcoin before it take off again. A good project will take time to recover and materialize its use. Let us all be patient and brace ourselves to the coming innovation that will make history - Bitcoin as a currency worth USD 500,000.
I agree, with bitcoin proven to return profits at an exponential percentage, I think that all we can do is wait, accumulate and hodl because we can't do anything if we look at short-term and panic sell, you only lose more money and get unnecessarily frustrated when things could've been preventable in the first place. I believe that maybe in years we can bounce back or if not then probably at the next halving.
2091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on TV? on: April 24, 2021, 04:27:48 AM
Bitcoin gets mentioned in news and most of the time they are mentioned in a skeptic or bad light which isn't bad in my opinion because it can help people with open mind to check it out and at the same time deter people that are close minded and only believes on what they saw on television. I think there is also an episode of The Falcon and Winter Soldier where they mentioned bitcoin as a payment for a bounty or something like that.
2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? on: April 24, 2021, 03:43:45 AM
If I have those options, why wouldn't I pick both? I'll take both of them and these are both the greatest assets in today's time.

I wouldn't compare them which is better because to me, as long as it's an asset that will grow someday, they're perfect as an investment.
I don't know if it is the same in other country but in my country, you can't really handle gold for yourself and most of the time, the bank holds it for you and you have to pay for the storage of it so I would say that bitcoin is a bit better than gold in terms of possession.
2093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we use Bitcoin for regular transaction now? on: April 23, 2021, 11:03:35 AM
Maybe if the inherent volatility of bitcoin is finally tamed then we could probably consider using it as a daily currency but right now, I don't think that I will be unknowingly overpay my groceries. Maybe we could do a big transactions but for small transactions, I think that it will be a hassle co.pared to fiat.
2094  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto ATM Rapid Growth on: April 23, 2021, 10:20:25 AM
I hope that when there is an increase in the amount of Bitcoin ATMs that my country is going to be included in them since I haven't seen one in my country and I would love that we have a Bitcoin ATM because our country is a crypto friendly one.
2095  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lottery not honest on: April 23, 2021, 09:39:58 AM
Honestly, your only wasting your time doing that things. Instead of playing to this matter, better to shift on day trading dude,
at least in day trade you can able to earn within a day, weeks, or months. And your skills could also be enhance by doing this type
of activity in crypto trading anyway.
Not everyone can make money with daytrading, I mean it is as risky as gambling, so I would take that advice regarding doing daytrading with a grain of salt. Also, how come false negatives in lottery, are you that bitter that you didn't win the lottery? Gambling house will always win at the end.
2096  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: April 23, 2021, 08:58:06 AM
~
If people were here like back in 2018, I think they'll already get used to these kinds of dips.
I had seen more bears back then when BTC plummeted at 3k.
I don't mind even if it went below that as that is purely an opportunity for me to buy more or simply just hodl if I don't have the means to buy.
Exactly, I've been wishing for a dip for now because I felt that I don't have enough bitcoin to go with it so all I can do is just to accumulate and accumulate until I am satisfied. The quote above is right, don't mind the plummet because that will be your opportunity to buy more and hodl.
2097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk please stop messing up the crypto market on: April 23, 2021, 08:23:50 AM
The spell with Elon's Tweets has somehow helped you, obviously this coin meme is pragmatically sucking the blood of investors and gradually taking over everyone's mind.  There is no right or wrong approach, it's important to look at the problem and analyze it properly.  Doge will not be the moon from now on!
To me, this Doge is creating hype in a tasteless way.  it is not my favorite food.  Lol
No matter what you think of it, Elon's tweets can make the market move, and the only way to deal with that is to buy and hodl the coin that Elon is trying to shill because no matter how much we hate it, the people is the one that moves the market.
2098  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: April 23, 2021, 07:47:01 AM
Bitcoin also fell around 23% and 26% in January and February, and yet we have bounce back and make new ATH. So I wouldn't say that we are in a bear market, just the monthly dips that we have been seeing.
It won't matter for the bears because if they say that bear season is here then nothing is going to change that fact. I got worried that the price did dip but I don't really mind if that was the case because it will be a temporary thing. Plus we can't really say that the bear season is here until it is over.
2099  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Below $50K as Market Sell-Off Continues on: April 23, 2021, 07:12:45 AM
As of the time of this post, Bitcoin price is $49,400, not too bad a correction, the entire stock market is down today and I guess the Bitcoin situation will re-bounce sooner than we expect.
Well, either way is good, if the prices go down then so be it, the people who wants to buy bitcoin at lower price is finally able to buy that bitcoin at lower price. If it goes up then good because that means that we can reach a new ATH again. The only time that you should feel bad is when you don't have bitcoin at any point in time.
2100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transactions Fee Are More Expensive Than Ever on: April 23, 2021, 05:01:58 AM
Just wait it out, the people that are doing the works behind is doing everything that they can to solve this problem, just hodl on to that bitcoin and wait for the transaction fees to go down. Or maybe you can use other coins to transfer that have a considerably lower transaction fees.
