2101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][PWC: PREMINE ALERT][Proof inside]Powercoin was PREMINED for 56.000 coins on: May 14, 2013, 02:05:54 AM
Boxman90 clearly isn't happy that I didn't fall for his extortion attempt otherwise he would have listed ALL of the altcoins which have been premined or instamined. Yet he targets PWC because I will not subdue to such a criminal, who knows how many altcoin creators he has extorted in return to not deface their coins. I think this is a serious issue which will be presented to the appropriate parties.

PROOF!

He asked for PWC which is essentially worth nothing, so, how is it extortion? He asked you to give him nothing lol

Whether or not the OP tried to extort you doesn't change the fact that you premined the first 2000 blocks.  Time to add powercoin to the growing list of alt coins that die within their first 2 weeks.

2 days....

Here's one of the pools, dusted it off one the third page.

66 workers, WOW!!!

I'll not even reply to your childish trolling. Ignored  Cheesy

lol, and that google docs spreadsheet, with 8 sellers, and 0 buyers? What a joke coin. Weather he lied about BTer, or he was misinformed, he shouldn't have posted, without %100 confirmation. That was the death of his coin.

Stop getting so defensive. I have everything documented and it is going to the law firm this afternoon. You rattled the wrong hornets nest.

You threaten to deface a brand by extorting me yet now try and make out you are not doing that. I'm collecting your IP and email from admin as we speak.

Bwhaha how old is this guy?

He must be american. A Brand is not A brand, unless it is trademarked, for starters. And even if that was the case, he copied someone else's code, made a couple changes, and claimed it as his own Roll Eyes

We are looking to trademark PowerCoin and bring it to the wider community. The code is open source... No further explanation required.

From the top of my head. Bitcoin was instamined, Novacoin was raped by premine, ChinaCoin had 2200 blocks mined before anyone here touched it, yac was found to heavily favour Linux users and was instamined... Must I got on. These coins are still on exchanges and are being traded as we speak. THIS IS NO REVELATION.

The 'premine' is VERY insignificant if you actually saw how spread out the amount was as it was used for payment on the coin itself, website, wiki, BOUNTIES. A lot of that is going into the generation of bounties to further grow PowerCoin as a viable currency alternative.

OP is blowing steam out of his **** with the Linux accusation, the development team solely focused on a Windows client (the majority).

As for the etiquette of the OP. He threatened to extort me for PWC (ironic isn't it) to not expose his findings. In other words I am taking this very seriously. Screenshots are being compiled as we speak.

In regards to the BTER (epic fail) that was a huge miscommunication/ lie from a Chinese national who thought he was admin...

Dude, it's over. Noone wants to mine your coin, noone wants to buy your coin....Let it go

There are 2 pools and one Google Docs Exchange thread so people obviously do want to.
Go troll somewhere else.

ZOMG, 2 whole pools? well then, I stand corrected Roll Eyes

Noone wants to mine your coin, noone wants to buy your coin....Let it go....Feel free to attempt to sue me...I'm Canadian, so, even if you had a trademark, it wouldn't be valid here anyways. And I seriously doubt the admin of these forums, are handing out personal information about their members Roll Eyes

The free market will solve this. People will learn....  Roll Eyes

lol, these are the same people who still believe YAC is doing well?
2108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why yacoin will succeed on: May 14, 2013, 01:24:31 AM
i think YACOIN despite its name is a huge contender what do the two major cryptocurrencies have in common
BTC was the first sha-256 crypto (and yes the first crypto)
LTC was the first scrypt crypto
Correct me if i am wrong, but yacoin employs a new hashing algorithm so it will be the first of that type of hashing algorithm
So i think yacoin will stand out amongst the crowd of new coins

Thanks for your pearls of "wisdom"....How is YAC doing on the exchange right now? Oh yeah, that's right, fucking horrible

stable as fuck is the new horrible.

So stable at such a low price, it actually costs money to mine it...And don't start on the free power, blah, blah, blah...Someone is paying the power bill.

Most people new powercoin was worthless, after the first day of mining

Seriously? There is literally, a new coin released each day..
2114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Franko pool needs guns on: May 13, 2013, 11:44:17 PM
Why are you mining this utter crap?Smiley

Because it's more profitable than litecoin, at least for the next 6 hours.

People are still buying this shit coin??  Huh If people don't know what to spend their LTC on, send it to me, I'll spend it on something worthwhile
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FAGCoin, releasing soon!!! on: May 13, 2013, 11:42:03 PM
Shouldn't this belong in the "mining discussion" subforum? I don't see how this relates to altchains in any way (other than the misleading title)

Because I mine alt coins?
2116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FAGCoin, releasing soon!!! on: May 13, 2013, 11:41:06 PM
link? they all look different on google results. is $360 even cheap? treat yourself to a Gigabyte GV-R795WF3-3GD and get 3 fans for less money, flash on that '43 BIOS and go up to 660 kh/s at 1087 voltage or something.

I was considering that, but, my current XFX 7950 DD, won't go above 500 KH/s. If I try to overclock, even a little, the driver crashes.

http://ncix.ca/products/?sku=70111&vpn=AX7970%203GBD5-2DHV3&manufacture=PowerColor&promoid=1202

It's $110 off the regular price
2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FAGCoin, releasing soon!!! on: May 13, 2013, 11:18:11 PM
Not really sure how this question went unanswered, on a forum dedicated to mining.  Maybe the subject should be changed to some shit coin name....
2119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Bounty] Scrypt-jane CGMINER on: May 13, 2013, 11:12:52 PM
Do you have any ideas about the difference from CPU to GPU?

The difference is significant.  Unless you're using a 4-processor Xeon E5-2670 server as the point of comparison.

And even in that case, the power consumption difference is massive
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Bounty] Scrypt-jane CGMINER on: May 13, 2013, 09:05:19 PM
5000 YAC to whoever implements scrypt-jane on cgminer. Donations are welcome, even better for the donators coz we get to "test drive it for a few days to "make sure its bug free FOR THE COMMUNITY"  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

You should probably offer a coin that's actually worth something Roll Eyes Specially since if this became available to the general public, the whole premise of YAC would be defeated, and it would become even more worthless
