2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Sports Betting Shop Operations on: August 26, 2023, 11:24:02 AM
There might be a few bookies who would do that, but it isn't ideal for many. The issue at hand is that bookies or sports betting agents are aiming for higher profitability. This implies that the more bets they attract, the more money they stand to gain. In my opinion, the phrase "gamble responsibly" should be sufficient to caution bettors, and if they choose to disregard it, the consequences are theirs to bear.

Well I have not seen such myself where a casino operator will advise or stop a gambler from betting because of addiction. Anyway, such sympathy display can maybe happen in an offline gambling house like op shared if at all it will happen because the owner of the gambling house shares a family relationship with the gambler. And online casino can only warn gamblers on the risk in there terms and conditions but will not be able to stop them from placing another bet because there is no limit to the times you will bet.. It is commendable and rare to see this kind of reasonable display of understanding.
2102  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] PlayBita.com Crypto Down or Up? Join us ! on: August 26, 2023, 10:28:55 AM

The team paying users to test their game would be nice to hear what the experience of the users and whether were they paid instantly without having to ask for support to release the funds. A review thread perhaps?

Is this verifiable or you just guessing? Because when you pay someone to do a review on your website, they are likely not to do an objective review.

A. It’s not casino, traders that understand the market trend makes good money from this platform, Casino is making money when you lose and here it’s the opposite

Well my concern is how they make profit if they say they don't get something from the lossers as we already know that is what happens in casino, brokers and other trading websites.
2103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA admits climate change occurs because of changes in Earth's solar orbit... on: August 25, 2023, 10:35:31 PM
Is NASA saying human activities are not the reason for climate change ? I doubt that humans don't contribute hugely to the change in the environment, although there are natural occurrence that could affect the climate like.carbon dioxide which is emission from vehicles, there is nitrous oxide, vapour from boiling water other substances and there are more that are human activities causing change. The issue is most of the causes of climate change is human factor, smoking is also part of it.

Moreover I think what you are providing is service so you can move it to the service board, I believe you know how to navigate there.

I have  listened a LGBT person talking about those times as well, and how homophobia was blatant, which was true. We could argue that old times were always better but we need to also remember our experience was not the same for all people living through those years.

It is very possible those times won't ever come back, but rather than living in the past, we must build an even better future.

We can't say that any era was better than the other because they had advantages or disadvantages that came with them. In the past, young people had a slow knowledge base and therefore they lacked financial prudence and freedom, wealth was only concentrated in the hands of adult working class but now it is not the same with the advent of computer, internet and now digital currency age. Young people are ruling this age from tech, social media, security etc. Investment advantages are all over both for employed and non employed despite the argument that those days had more serene and tranquil environment with no ozone depletion, gas flaring, environmental degradation etc.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: August 25, 2023, 04:04:46 PM

Perhaps it's because users are worried that their data will be misused by the casino even though the casino is a trusted casino. After all, there is no guarantee that their data can be safe. They feel it's better to look for casinos that don't apply KYC to their users, and even though it's difficult, they will keep looking until they find one.

Not just the fear of misuse of individual data is the issue but the feeling that cryptocurrency related transactions should be discreet and all that pertains to it, so to request knowing your customer or who has registered with you is originally contravening the privacy that encrypted digital currency encourage. Many users who don't freely give out their identity have such views but when they have no choice and have need to withdraw their winnings , they have to do it.
2107  Economy / Economics / Re: No choice but to use the unavoidable middle man, the exchange companies. on: August 25, 2023, 02:40:21 PM
Well, trust is difficult to earn. And it's often advised not to give it to anybody. We don't easily trust. But does an exchange offer a solution to this? From a certain viewpoint, it actually is making it more problematic. It adds another layer of trust. Not only are we required to trust the person we're trading with, we're now also required to trust the exchange itself. So far, it is proven with sufficient evidence that exchanges cannot be trusted however huge they are.

The issue of trust is the strong factor that we struggle with on the P2P level. Yes bitcoin in it decentralized system eliminated this aspect of third party transaction if all things are equal but just that human selfish factor that breeds distrust. But a P2P is quite successful with bitcoin transaction if both parties eliminate that distrust. For example there are some P2P local groups were with or without the third party escrow service, some parties still transact successfully without distrust which is the original bitcoin decentralized system.

Two candidates visited my office two days ago to submit their applications for the position of a health assistant. I had the honor of taking part in the interviews with them. After the interview, the candidate did very well, but the CMD chose to hire the male candidate because of his physical strength and height as the best contender for the position. He didn't even give the female applicant a chance to demonstrate her qualifications. What do you think about this?
Opportunities should give to the males because they handle all family and their duty is to work an earn money. Females duty is not good for our society because their duty should be take care of house and babies. Their duty is only maintenance of house. This is best for our society. Females should get knowledge of Quran and hadees because these give all necessary things to our society. With doing practical on Quran, we can get success because this a true message of God. Males also should get knowledge of Quran. Physically, males are strong and they deserve jobs and they are eligible for jobs. Allah make a male body strong for hard work. Doing job for money is not good for our society because it causes destruction in our society.

Some of the physical attributes are fast disappearing in the job space and the simple reason is that AL is now taking over jobs and all you need to do is get trained on how to use machines. The time we are is about knowledge and idea so if a lady has a better knowledge, idea or information more than a man, she is best qualified to occupy the job space, this is what is happening now despite the old way of life. Now, except for a few kind of jobs, the gender inequality is fast going away unfortunately for the patrilineal society that dominated the society.
2109  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 25, 2023, 12:16:18 PM
.

[c.] Watch videos that can give you inspiration to become better. And mingle with people who have a positive outlook on life.

This is a better idea to me. Reading books on finance appears more frictional like romantic novels. In terms of finance, we need more practical solution so watching people narrate their stories themselves and showing you the practical steps they took to get out of it will encourage you to also try it out. And the other part which is to hang out with like minds can also lift you up. One thing about hanging out is it takes you away from the challenge you are going through and you can be rejuvenated with fresh ideas on how to tackle challenges.
2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 25, 2023, 10:33:11 AM
Casino wallet is not for you to save your coins. It is basically for you to receive reward from the casino after you have played with them. I realize most gamblers don't keep sufficient money or coins on their gambling app for long, either they send it out to their noncustodial wallet for more safety, remember not your key, not your coin because casino can have issue and seize to exist. It is a big risk to keep your coins in casino wallet, it is better with your fiat bank account.

I don’t recommend bank savings either because it has a limited amount to be insured. Storing money on non-custodial wallet using Bitcoin is the best way to save money long term.

Savings in form of fiat and on cryptocurrency are different things. It is those who are highly crypto enthusiast would only keep just crypto without having to save fiat somehow or in the bank. Many users still don't like the fluctuation of bitcoin where they will wake up the next morning and see a sharp drop in their wallet although it could also happen in the other way by increasing but many prefer the value of what they have to be stable and by that they could know their worth. So it is totally a different thing to keep fiat and to keep bitcoin. Having your fiat in the bank has it own disadvantage likewise bitcoin.

Awareness of the importance of KYC must begin to be understood by every gambler so that no gambler experiences problems regarding winnings that fail to be withdrawn.

No other awareness is greater than a gambler to understand that casinos are now requiring KYC and why they request for it.  At least to be sure that their winners account is verifiable and not bot account. But the problem is in two ways actually, one is that some bettors try to cut corners by thinking that the casino will not remember to ask for it and again a dubious casino may include or activate that part of terms and conditions for KYC as we have seen some thread where complaint have been made that such KYC requirements were not in the terms and conditions earlier. So I think casinos should do more of transparency regards to that and specify boldly if they require KYC from the beginning or conditions for KYC like amount for withdrawal that will require KYC.
2113  Other / Off-topic / Re: Beware of scammers. on: August 25, 2023, 02:55:06 AM

please, if You received a distress text message or call from your friends or relatives asking for financial help , verify before you  send the money especially if the account details and phone number is not that of your relatives or friend in questions.

what can we do, to avoid being a victim.

This is the message and that is also what we can do to avoid falling into the scam. This pattern of scamming has been on for long time but if you are careful then you will pick the red lines. One way you can get these red lines is to delay the process a little or stretch the conversation they will begin to be restive to continue.

Also you can get hold of the trick with the third party bank account details like you did. This is also the reason some businesses don't allow third party financial transaction especially if you are requesting to withdraw like in casinos and other online business transactions because they believe any thing is possible to happen to your account like being hacked, so if you are not requesting withdrawal to be received in your account registered with them you may need to go through longer process that is not the usual just to delay you and in the process verify. We have to be careful because scammers come in different ways.
2114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Past 3 days what did you brought in the crash? on: August 24, 2023, 07:46:30 PM

never though of any altcoin in the last dip market because recently I invested quite a big amount on some of those meme coins and at the end of the day the 3 coins have failed to recover even though the cryptocurrency market has recovered multiple times within that period and this is what have lowered my motivation level for altcoins in this season.

I hold more of Bitcoin and I bought at the last discount price of 25k and looking forward to a long-term view since it looks almost impossible for Bitcoin to go back to that price level before the next Bitcoin halving 2023.

More reason to invest in bitcoin. Experience they say is the best teacher. Most altcoins are pump and dump. People buy it because of the prospect of profit by the time it increases in price because of the numbers of unit but before you finish clicking the order to buy it starts to drop in price and won't recover and that is because those whales and early buyers had already seen the opportunity to dump by your orders. It is only better to buy bitcoin and very top altcoins like Ethereum and BNB.

2115  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 24, 2023, 07:30:20 PM

The other type is making it so complicated because they think it is not going to be simple to make money from it. To make it simple, if you buy 10 thousand dollars worth of bitcoin right now, when bitcoin becomes 1 million dollars, that would be 400 thousand dollars. When would it be 1 million dollars? Maybe in 2 years, maybe in 5, maybe in 10, but it will get there and there is nothing else that can turn your 10k into 400k at the same time as bitcoin can.

I hope newbies can understand that this scenario you showed here doesn't also happen overnight with bitcoin. They could have that notion in their mind and begin to get fussed about it when it doesn't just fly to give 100% profit. Every business needs patience to mature before it will be time to enjoy the investment benefit. For bitcoin, an investor really has to be patient to wait at least for a circle of halving to have such ROI depending on your value of investment.

then, it took a community to raise a child. but now everyone is minding his or her business by building houses with fence. this men were either retired teachers or railway personnel's. we need a return of those days, it was more peaceful and sweet. and then, there was no muche crime then to compare now and  the whole community was living like a family.
Can we go back to those days, and how possible is it ?

That was when raising a child was community effort and not solely a parent thing but those days are gone and I'm not sure they will come back because they have been taken over by different events. For example the family has move from being an extended family/compound to a nuclear home. Privacy is now the other of the day, back then you can tell what a family is known for, where the father works or retirees as you said and the mother is predominantly a house wife, you can see that has changed long time ago.

Again about privacy, nobody wants you to have a clue on what he is doing, earning etc. The digital space have created opportunity for people to build their finance without support from family members and that makes individualism to increase and secluded lifestyle because you don't owe allegence anymore to those "big uncles ". However the government has to do more these days to fight insecurity which is the effect of urbanization.

2. They have a restriction, but not stand with their word (If they really care about it, they should block your IP + ask KYC first before make any deposit.

This is one of the shity tactic casino.

I was to say this also. I read their Terms and conditions

Quote
2.1.      Any kind of sports betting or live betting for players from Russia is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to confiscate funds and block an account if it is proven that sports betting was made by a Russian citizen.

2.2.      Should any of these rules be violated, the Company reserves the right to refuse to pay any winnings or to refund stakes, as well as to cancel any bets. The Company shall not be liable in relation to the moment when they become aware that the customer falls within any of the aforementioned categories. This means that the Company shall be entitled to take the above measures at any time once they have become aware that the customer is an individual who can be designated as above.

Depending on when these clauses were added to their rules like you claimed they were not there at the time you registered, they should have made effort to identify your IP or restricted Russian IP from registering on their website to safe everyone the headache.

My question is did you evade any registration process or using VPN? If you are not guilty of violating registration procedure then they should be able to identify you were registering from Russia.
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 24, 2023, 09:14:34 AM
It was actually a tight and highly contested finals by two most worthy teams of this tournament. England had a better chance at the beginning of the match to hold it strong but it later turned against them when the Spanish female team took the lead. It was never a dull moment watching the female play and Spain has joined the record of countries lifting the men and female FIFA world like Brazil.

In general, the gap between different teams have narrowed down, both in men's game and in women's game. Even during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the matches were closely fought. Final was an exception, as Argentina dominated the first 80 minutes of the match and France came back to the game only as a result of goals from Kylian Mbappé. And in this tournament, there were very few one-sided matches. UEFA and CONMEBOL teams used to dominate the world cup, but that is no longer the case now as AFC-CAF teams have closed the gap.

Things have really changed in football and the female side particularly. Like in the past Nigeria didn't have astonishing performance in the world stage beating Australia while england had a narrow win over them. I think what has contributed this positive change that have given fans something to relish on is the soccer tourism if I may call it that because we have some players who are club mate in Europe and America just like it is in the male side unlike when it was dominated by one club side.
2120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 24, 2023, 07:49:11 AM

England Women's defenders were in disarray for a while. But the Spain women's team did a lot of attacking which was successful and the hard working players I saw were Spain's defenders and midfielders. The Spain women's team players did not perform well in the beginning after a long effort and the Spain fans never realized that they could win the world cup. England women's players were favorites from the start but it was their failure to come up short against Spain.
