2121  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Nasterxchange 26000 euro on: January 30, 2022, 06:25:54 PM
He already wrote to the other forum admin. And as OP said, Naster was kicked from the forum, and his sales thread was locked by the administrator. One more thing is, Writing to the admin not going to help him to return his 26K euro.
But it does help future traders who might stumble upon his thread.

I am still confused about his accusation because, Naster claims that OP's back locked the 26K euro. Not Naster's bank. So based on Naster's claim, he said he didn't receive the 26k. So, How can he send 26K crypto if he didn't received that 26k on his bank?

So I would like to ask OP to provide the proof that you have send him 26K to his bank and it was successfully released. If you have send him 26k and it wasn't released but locked. There's might be a problem.
If you follow the video carefully. Looks like Naster had his partner lock him out of the account. So he should take responsibility.

If the claim is false by any chance, then why Naster quiet here?
2122  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Qubit Finance got hacked, suffers $80 million loss on: January 29, 2022, 06:33:31 PM
It seems like it's because some data parameters are not being correct. I saw one reply from that tweet, and it does look legit.

For those interested in the address of Qubit here, it is.

https://bscscan.com/address/0xd01ae1a708614948b2b5e0b7ab5be6afa01325c7

I do hope they somehow make a recovery from it or something. They need to look further at possible entry points to prevent exploitations like this.
I remember at one time when Binance was hacked. CZ wanted a reorg on Bitcoin network, which backfired on him because Bitcoin is a truly decentralized network. Now, I am waiting to see what he will do on his centralized shitcoin network in order to be able to recover the stolen BNB  Grin
2123  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Nasterxchange 26000 euro on: January 29, 2022, 04:24:09 PM
On another forum, Naster is an admin approved seller.

Looks like he was a good trader at the beginning until he probably started scamming. If you look at the earlier feedback by some trusted members. It shows the did good deals with him at the beginning.

If I were OP, I would write to the admin of the other forum as well.
2124  Other / Archival / Re: Why the expansion of derivatives BTC markets will continue on: January 29, 2022, 03:47:40 PM
I say that exchanges, like casinos, always earn and always play against their client. I didn't say that trading is like a casino.
That's what casinos do, Play against their clients/gamblers. I don't know what you misunderstood from here

Derivatives exchange -  Traders betting against each other
Casino - gamblers betting against the casino

Quote
The statement that exchanges earn on commissions is a delusion.
They do, and you see your trading fees getting chopped. Otherwise, if they didn't then why would they keep cutting off those trading fees?

Quote
Derivative exchanges make money from market making, which encourages liquidations or stop losses. The income from commissions serves more to maintain the infrastructure, rather than to earn money. The main earnings are obtained due to the fact that derivatives exchanges liquidate deposits from their users due to their greed (when they use high leverage) and inexperience.

You make it sound like exchanges are the "only ones market making", that's if you claims are even true because you haven't shown us an instance where exchanges have acted as market markers and earned money continuously via market marking. Are you trying to say market makers don't get liquidated if the market swings in the opposite direction?

So according to your scenario, exchanges such as FTX, Bybit, Binance, Coinbase Pro, Bitfinex will coordinate to act as market markers while all of them shorting at ago so that the market drops, and they earn while all "normal" traders trying to long lose out via liquidations?

The comparisons you're trying to draw are not even close to how casino operate, if that was your intention.
2125  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Nasterxchange 26000 euro on: January 28, 2022, 09:52:30 PM
yes he is the guy, in few days i will follow the instructions given by other user here and try my best to red flag him on this forum.

Hey guys this is his thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2417495.200

I am not able to post on his thread, but i badly want to post on his sales thread, there is no option for me to post there, (may be because i am new on this forum?)

or can someone pls post on his thread about how he scammed me? with a link to my thread, I have left all evidence here.
The thread is locked, so no one is able to post in it as of now. That's what scammers do so that no one warns other members about their scam in the thread.

Just create a type 3 flag, and we shall support it. It will display a banner on top of the post warning members about the scammer. Meanwhile. I am also leaving him negative feedback.
2126  Other / Archival / Re: Why the expansion of derivatives BTC markets will continue on: January 28, 2022, 09:27:00 PM
The exchange is the same casino where users, for the most part, lose. The exchange always makes money on customers, like a casino. Ideally, the exchange should be just an agent that provides a platform where the buyer and seller will meet. And for this operation, she takes a percentage of the transaction amount.

But in reality, this is a full-fledged bidder at home, and we are her guests. The exchange sees everything, and we see almost nothing, as a result, users lose money because they are trying to trade against the exchange, against a centralized system that is designed in such a way as to take money, not give it away.
The common knowledge is derivatives exchanges make money via trading fees, but I don't want to say such exchanges are the same as casinos because the way a casino operates is a little different.

Derivatives exchange -  Traders betting against each other
Casino - gamblers betting against the casino

If you lose money in an exchange, it means some smart or manipulative trader on the other side has made profits.

2127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DeFi the decentralized ways of scam on: January 28, 2022, 08:56:59 PM
Not news though.
From the time I got to know about cryptocurrencies, There were ICOs, STOs, IDOs, IEOs, and then recently meme coins, NFTs and the Defis you are talking about. All those generate shitcoins which are in most cases scams

It's why i learned to avoid shitcoins all together. In fact, in this bull run, I never bothered venturing into DeFis or NFTs because of the lessons I learned from ICOs
2128  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Indymoney - loan default on: January 27, 2022, 04:41:23 PM
So best for other lender to check more their borrowers since if the trust them so much with huge amount for sure we will see another case like this.
Just so you know, the amount OP lent @Indymoney was 0.0075 BTC, just $85 at that time. This was very little money for Indymoney to pay back in a couple of weeks via a signature campaign, but I guess he was just a scammer.

Right now 0.0075 seems a huge amount due to the previous BTC bull run.
2129  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Paradox - Plagiarizing Content on: January 26, 2022, 08:39:55 PM
hello , it's nice that you share the messages , we got support for the whitepaper , we shared our opinion , they wrote the whitepaper , we paid for it ... we never had any fraudulent intention
You do realize that this is a common excuse used by almost all project that have been caught with a plagiarized white paper?

If you pay for a service and the "service provider" delivers it to you, don't you even take the liberty to check if the service rendered is good and not just sham?
Otherwise, how do you spend money on something you even don't know if it's good or bad?
2130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LAtoken - exchange or gambling? on: January 26, 2022, 07:24:03 PM
You have a 10-year-old Bitcointalk account, and you even don't know what pump and dump schemes are?

Are you even the original owner of the account?  Roll Eyes

You bought pump and dump shitcoins, so there's nothing much to expect from them except making huge losses. You should be knowing this by now after a decade in the crypto space.
2131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shorting & leverage in U.S.A. on: January 26, 2022, 07:02:43 PM
If i remember it correctly you need significant amount something like that for each leverage.
Significant amount of what? Hope not money? Traders should trade with the amount they can afford to lose.
Certain traditional derivatives platforms, mostly to do with stocks and other markets, don't want retail traders. So they require one to have a huge amount of equity. For example, if it was offering trading Bitcoin futures, the minimum order size would be one contract and 1 Contract would be equivalent to 10 BTC

This would definitely not favor retail traders.
2132  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Nasterxchange 26000 euro on: January 25, 2022, 09:59:23 PM
If admins can ban him from this forum then it will give me some relief and save other users on this forum from getting scammed.

I know i will not get my money back from this scammer, but a ban will be a bit relieving.
Which profile exactly are you talking about?

This? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=676128

If so, then I am not sure why you have you them with 26K Euros despite some warning feedback from DT members, their forum profile?
Be rest assured that their profile isn'tr going to get banned here.
2133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shorting & leverage in U.S.A. on: January 25, 2022, 09:14:34 PM
Thanks for the info.

I think you're right. I think it's a nationwide thing not a exchange thing.
I know that initially I had said that it might not be possible to legally trade derivatives in the US, but recently I discovered that FTX has a fully licensed platform dedicated to the US citizens
- https://derivs.ftx.us/

I haven't used the platform before. Please read the TOS and explore it before sending them money. This is not an endorsement by me.
2134  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Paradox - Plagiarizing Content on: January 25, 2022, 08:57:58 PM
Good Job @ holydarkness upon spotting the plagiarism and potential scammers. I'm tagging the profile and also creating a newbie or guest flag to help warn newbies/guests.

I don't think the accused can come up with any plausible reason for plagiarizing another project's whitepaper.

2135  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: KuCoin 2FA Scam? on: January 14, 2022, 09:58:20 PM
*****This has been going on for weeks and weeks!  Does anyone know how to extract data from another exchange to get them what they want?*****
Seems pretty much self-explanatory from the message they sent you in an email.

1.Upon checking, I show that the information you provided is unqualified. We need the screenshot of other platform which you made transaction with Kucoin(not the screenshot from your email) .Please read the bold sentence below carefully.

For example, I deposited BTC to KuCoin from A platform, then I need to log into A platform and locate the transaction under withdrawal history and take a screenshot. If I sent it from a personal wallet address, then a screenshot of my personal wallet address would also be acceptable.

Log into and exchange or wallet which you used to deposit the funds to Kucoin. Take a screenshot of the transaction history and send it to them.
2136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to cancel pending withdrawals from binance? on: January 14, 2022, 09:44:53 PM
Quite a terrible experience from Binance. Their support is so slow and sucks according to my experience, but they are the only ones you can help you in this case since it's a technical problem.

support say's they sent my case to the relevent team, same message always, and im wondering if i can email them, because tickets are closed and there's no email for support, please if you anything about that let me know
What were you using for communicating with them if there is no email for support?
2137  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot and future trade on: January 14, 2022, 09:33:50 PM
Is this possible?

I have $100, I want to keep it temporary on an exchange in bitcoin and I want to trade future trading. Assuming I send the bitcoin to my future wallet on the exchange and I go 1x short position.

I guess because my bitcoin in spot value in dollar will increase if the market is going higher but I am losing the value in future trading because I go short, the value in dollar will remain the same?

Also if the market price of bitcoin decrease, I will be losing value in dollar in spot but the future favours me. This also means the value will be the same?

I am looking for a way I can put money in this way on unstable coin in a way the price will remain almost stable with only little difference. Is this possible?

Use USDT marginated futures or USDT perpetual contracts like BTCUSDT depending on the derivatives exchange. In this case, you will be using USDT as collateral. So the value won't negatively be affected if a coin price drops, but you will also be getting so profits for shorting.

Inverse perpetual contracts or Coin Marginated futures Like BTCUSD are mostly good if you are longing and the market is on the rise.
2138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shorting & leverage in U.S.A. on: January 14, 2022, 08:49:41 PM
It's illegal. I believe if you use Kraken derivatives platform. You will first have to verify your accounts, and you won't be able to trade derivatives once they know your account is owned by a US citizen.
The same might be for Kucoin though they are not strict right now but anytime they can change the rules just like Binance and Bitmex did
2139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Quora Bengali is killing bitcoin on: January 14, 2022, 07:52:50 PM
There's nothing much you can do about it. It's like coming across a YouTube video that is anti Bitcoin or spreads a lot of misinformation about Bitcoin. You may try to dislike it or make a comment about the actual facts, but that's all you can do.

The thing about Bitcoin is that unlike the centralized shitcoins. There is no money put to advertise it. So you will see all those paid news articles trying to discredit Bitcoin while shilling the shitcoins at the same time.
2140  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Blackjack.fun Signature Campaign | Up to $80/wk | Rate Increase on: January 14, 2022, 07:42:55 PM
Why not open up the slots to lower ranks if it is taking a long time to fill it up with Hero/Legendary members. There are still enough quality posters in the senior and full member ranks.
Because the owners want high ranking accounts. You can force them to choose lower ranks if they don't want. Like they always say, "My money, My rules"
