Former top State Dept investigator says COVID-19 outbreak may have resulted from bioweapons research accident

Quote
As top U.S. officials prepare to meet their Chinese counterparts for their first face-to-face meeting during the Biden administration, the State Department's former lead investigator who oversaw the Task Force into the COVID-19 virus origin tells Fox News that he not only believes the virus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, but that it may have been the result of research that the Chinese military, or People’s Liberation Army, was doing on a bioweapon.

"The Wuhan Institute of Virology is not the National Institute of Health," David Asher, now a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute told Fox News in an exclusive interview. "It was operating a secret, classified program. In my view, and I’m just one person, my view is it was a biological weapons program."

There are zero coincidences in this world. If something gives an advantage to certain people, then it means it is those people who are responsible for "something".

So was it an attack or a mistake?  Can't be both.  Seems like you're grasping for straws at this point.
2122  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 25th Amendament for Joe Biden, when? on: March 22, 2021, 03:30:14 AM
Biden is not at risk of having the 25th Amendment invoked until he starts pushing back against radical left-wing policies that are divisive and unpopular among Americans.

His cabinet would be the ones to decide.  They are mostly far from radical left.

Assuming my data was correct, out of the 286 EPL games played so far in this season:

252 ended below 21
12 ended at exactly 21
22 ended above 21 (out of those, only 8 were above 22)

These were the matches where the bet would have paid:

Something like this is definitely going to be pretty high variance, but I think it's pretty clear that it's an insanely good promotion  Smiley

Jeez.  Get it while it lasts!

'bill gates is trying to control your mind'

You mean he isn't?  I don't know, Windows has changed my view of the world.  Quite literally.

You'd have to ask one of the P&S experts on Bill Gates and mind control.
2125  Other / Archival / Re: 🤷‍♂️ Bizarre activity at 🤦‍♂️👽 NitroBetting.eu- Changing min bet to 1BTC?? on: March 22, 2021, 02:59:27 AM
Doesn't seem that shady.  Probably an issue with the software provider, but even if they intentionally want high limits, nothing unethical about that.

The fact you're complaining about a 3mbtc bonus with 1x playthrough after you busted your account, and you ended up depositing again and then complaining again about the same limits as the first time makes it appear you are just trying to get more free bonuses out of them.
2126  Economy / Securities / Re: 📈 NastyFans: The Bitcoin Enthusiast Fan Club (est. 2012) on: March 22, 2021, 02:34:57 AM
If the seats you were referring to were listed for several months then, considering your position, it was very unethical to make to this claim:

There were just a couple hundred seats traded after being listed only a few days.

They were listed at a price that was too high. The price was lowered to something reasonable and they sold within a couple days. It isn’t hard to understand. No need to try and twist words to make it something other than exactly what I stated. Price seats reasonably, they will sell.

I’ll even go a step further and say that myself or NastyMining will buy back any amount of seats for 0.0005 BTC per seat and will extend this offer for the next several months.

You still shouldn't say "There were just a couple hundred seats traded after being listed only a few days." if they were actually listed for a few months.

It doesn't matter what you think about the price before or after, you're misleading potential buyers.

Do you understand why it's unethical?

Don't forget about the game tonight. 21 players have still yet to make their pick for it but it seems a handful of people have given up already.
I had my picks few days earlier and I was thinking I had 1 - 2 win for Leeds yesterday but now checking on my account just realized that it was 0 - 1 lol

On superbru they do not nave odds anymore, they tried it only for few weeks.

Imagine if you got perfect you would only have 12 points from this whole week:)
Every week after making my picks I tell myself this is the week and I will have my best score (few exact picks with all correct picks) but after ending of each match I find myself regretting why did not I go with x or z combination LOL

For me the odds seem to be there for a few weeks then disappear for a week or two and ask you to spend $3 a month for them.  Feels like that's happened a few times now, might be my imagination though.

President Kamala Harris is now an Asian... I wonder why? Crazy white dude kills 6 Asian women (and 2 white too), so it's politically correct to be Asian now?

the anti vaxer movement seems to be pretty much entirely made up of Trump supporters

Like Robert F. Kennedy Jr.?

I don't think it's fair to refer to those who are cautious about the covid vaccine "anti-vaxxers."  This isn't the first time a vaccine was rushed to market, and if history is any indicator that can be deadly.  So now the cancel culture want's to cancel caution?

I don't think it's fair either.  I wasn't referring to people 'who are cautious about the covid vaccine'.  I was talking about anti vaxxers, the people who are against vaccines, period. From the pseudo science miracle cure fanatics, to the 'bill gates is trying to control your mind' crowd.

When I announced in early December that I had goal that I set of administering 100 million shots for the virus in the first 100 days of our office — 100 million shots in 100 days — it was considered ambitious.  Some even suggested it was somewhat audacious.  Experts said that it was a — the plan was, quote, “definitely aggressive,” and distribution would have to be “seamless” for us to be successful.  One headline simply put it, quote: “It won’t be easy.”  End of quote.  Well, it wasn’t.
This was actually something that Trump accomplished.

Thanks to President Trump's leadership and Operation Warp Speed, when Trump left office, there were 983k Covid vaccine shorts being administered per day. Biden is taking credit for Trump's success.

Giving anywhere near the credit either President seems to think they deserve is silly imo.  It's nice that Trump took it seriously, I thought he might not considering the anti vaxer movement seems to be pretty much entirely made up of Trump supporters (watch, they'll be here any minute to turn this thread into a dumpster fire).  But don't be fooled, in the end Trump and Biden both got lucky that these pharm companies were able develop and produce the vaccines as quickly as they did and that the country was already a well oiled shipping machine when it needed to be.  I give them both equal credit for not royally fucking anything up.

Biden trips up the stairs boarding air force 1 - https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1372935931204927491

I'm having a tough time finding sources for the odds that he completes his first term, but a hypothetical question -- does Biden's health serve as a liability for democrats to the point where they would want Biden to resign and just run Harris? Does it perhaps depend on a competent republican candidate?

Because if Trump gets nominated (god help the world if that happens), then you might as well just run Biden. But if a decent candidate gets nominated, what are the chances they just shove Biden aside?

If he had any actual serious health issues it would be a liability for him to run of course.  Tripping on the stairs and misspeaking are not indicators that he's about to drop dead.

I am not concerned one bit but bumping multiple times is against the forum rules and doing it with multiple or same account shouldn't change much I think. I would like to know why they haven't been banned yet.

Yes, bumping a thread multiple times in a day is against the forum rules, but unfortunately, I doubt anyone will be banned for it. Because, despite the fact that they openly endorse that casino, it is difficult to prove conclusively that all accounts are owned by AdkinsBet.

Still worth reporting.  They'll get a warning, then a temp ban on the bumping account, and then if an alt of that account keeps posting perm ban on all.

Joe Biden is NOT President.

Yes, he is.  Joe Biden is the President.

It sucks not getting what you want, but just pretending like you did doesn't change reality.  Stop lying to yourself and come back to reality, it's not as bad as you think.
2135  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Kracken! on: March 17, 2021, 08:03:56 PM
What else is there to say? Look at the pictures at the website.

The way to conquer anything is to simply do it. Success of doing it lies in the method being used. If Trump had simply gone ahead and done it, he would have won. The people behind Biden are the ones who went and simply did it.

If we want Biden out, we need to simply go and do it. After all, we have the evidence both, of the election fraud through the Internet back door in the voting machines (and a whole lot more), and the crooked activities of our State government people who condone the fraud.

Absolute proof the Biden “presidency” is FAKED… new video shows green screen compositing “error” that exposes the truth

Those seats were actually listed for sale for several months, they sold a few days after being listed at rock bottom prices, below their share of bitcoin that NF has in savings.

Yes, you had them listed way too high with the rising BTC rate and the market wouldn’t pay that price. You then lowered it down substantially (lower than probably needed) and they sold extremely quickly. That’s how free markets work.

If the seats you were referring to were listed for several months then, considering your position, it was very unethical to make to this claim:

There were just a couple hundred seats traded after being listed only a few days.

Wolves, last 5 games totals (Goals, cards, corners):
Away- 0,3,0 = 3
Away- 1,1,2 = 4
Away- 1,0,5 = 6
Home-1,0,9 = 10
Away-2,2,6= 10

Distinct corners count when playing home and against teams who play open and aggressive -- Leeds, Southampton.

Liverpool, last 5 games totals (Goals, corners, cards):
Home-0,2,9 = 11
Home-0,0,5 = 5
Away-2,0,3=5
Home-0,2,7=9
Away-1,2,12=15

Generally high corners away if playing against open attacking.

Wolves+Liverpool = very open, very attacking.

Last meeting, Liverpool 4:0 Wolves
Total points: 4+2+10 = 16

But Wolves have more corners home, and Liverpool more away.

Candidate for Blackjack?  Shocked

Seems like a lower point threshold or more points would make for more sweats.

Would be fun to make goals scored in the second half worth 2 and extra time at the end of the game worth 3 or something like that.  Even if it means reducing the 21x a bit I think it could be more exciting.

Might want to consider changing scoring for each game.  A game with a low over under could be 2 points per goal for the whole game and 3 or 4 for extra time, for example.

That's a huge achievement, people may not understand how difficult that is, well not difficult but how expensive it is, so I wanted to stop and say that gambling that much in 4 months takes a lot of courage or at least millions of dollars at your side so that if you lose this you do not get upset about it.
Not really millions of dollars.

GOLD rank you can achieve with around more than 200,000-350,000$ total wagering at least will give you GOLD rank with 60% fills up the bars and that wagering, so maybe with around 5K$ or 10K$ as long you can keep the balance alive you can easily to archive that wagering amount.
Yeah you are correct.
To get from gold to platinum doesn't cost millions to get there. That is their diamond rank level which does. Cheesy
Anyways, I posted a screenshot a couple of posts ago on here to show the amounts in usd that were required to reach each ranking level within their VIP level, respectively.
It is quite simple to follow and hasn't changed, yet as I am aware of so they can follow that chart to see how much they are off by within their level of rank on the site.

The chart that you posted shows the wager requirements for the different ranks, but I am curious what the actual cost to the gambler will be, if he used the method with the least amount of losses. (Example : Baccarat - equal amount Player vs Bank)   Huh

I know this will be a +/- amount.... but how much can you be out of pocket to go from Gold to Plat I with strategies like this? I hope you get what I am asking? (or anyone else for that matter)  Wink

I am soooo unlucky... busting my a$$ to get to Plat I and now Stake changed the VIP rewards for it.  Angry

If you were to make 100,000 $1 dice bets a 1.01x  (gold vip) you would lose pretty close to exactly $1,000 dollars (house edge is 1%).  You wouldn't have any chance at winning and it wouldn't be any fun though.

WaPo issues out a correction after making up random bullshit based on whatever "source" of the day wants to spout nonsense.

Worth noting this was not the call with the Georgia Secretary of State where Trump insisted he won Georgia and said to find enough votes to declare him the winner and is a big reason for the criminal investigation that's underway right now.

And there's no reason to believe the Post 'just made it up'.  They have an anonymous source who obviously knew details of the call.

They misquoted Trump saying "find the fraud" but he really said to find the "dishonesty. “They know I won, won by hundreds of thousands of votes. It wasn’t close.” “The people of Georgia are so angry at what happened to me,”

The other misquote was that he said she would be "a national hero", but what he really said was  “When the right answer comes out, you’ll be praised.[...] You have the most important job in the country right now.”

It's a bit ironic their slogan is "democracy dies in darkness" considering they're basically a pseudo-journalist aka activism outlet. This is one story, wonder how many other stories they got wrong?
It's ironic that what outrages you in this story is a misquote that the WaPo corrected.

What is it now 55 days or something and counting....

State of the Union Address Dates - Back to Reagan's first term.

President Ronald Reagan (first term): February 18, 1981
President Ronald Reagan (second term): February 06, 1985
President George H.W. Bush: February 09, 1989
President Bill Clinton (first term): February 17, 1993
President Bill Clinton (second term): February 04, 1997
President George W. Bush (first term): February 27, 2001
President George W. Bush (second term): February 02, 2005
President Barack Obama (first term): February 24, 2009
President Barack Obama (second term): February 12, 2013
President Donald Trump (first term): February 28, 2017

No foreign leader invited/received, no country visited....
Only waiting to end it all.

For the past 40 years or so, no president has given a State of the Union address in their first year as president.

Trumps first of three state of the union addresses was Jan 30, 2018 (he was elected in 2016).  Obamas first of 7 was Jan 27, 2010 (he was elected in 2008).

It has been customary to address a joint session of congress at some point early in their first year, but that's not a state of the union.  Because of Covid and the attack during the last Joint Session of Congress I doubt we see anything like a traditional Joint Session address this year where the capital is packed full of reporters, guests, SCOTUS, and every member of congress.  More likely Biden will address the Nation from the Oval office.
