2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A problem for El Salvador, how do you think it can be solved? on: June 12, 2021, 04:23:36 PM
Probably the government of El Salvador trying to solve the problem of having a low cost and quick transaction across borders because as I have read, the largest percentage of their people didn't have access to traditional financial services, but this doesn't mean they will tolerate those elicit activities such fraud and smuggling or it might finance their terrorist using Bitcoin.

It might be also they saw how is the usage of Bitcoin compared to cash when everything is publicly transparent in all transactions that were made by Bitcoin.

I remember in the article once the President of El Salvador once said, criminals already used dollars and other valuable assets to launder money and the problem isn't the dollar, it is the criminals.
2142  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do y'all know a website that rewards btc or any coin by solving captchas? on: June 12, 2021, 03:42:37 PM
I've seen one before but I lost. A way to earn crypto as easily as solving captchas is also wanted or something that rewards without investment/free. Currently I am mining and farming but being that i dont have a lot its not earning  a lot
I don't think if your free time is enough to waste on solving captchas just to earn a tiny fraction of Bitcoin.  But if you're willing to this, it's up to you and I will give a link and list of solving captcha typing jobs, here. (I'm not affiliated)

As you can see, there's a minimum payout that you can able to withdraw your reward or your incentives.  It might be you will wait for how many months collecting a tiny amount of Bitcoin that has a cents of value in the dollar.

But as I can suggest, don't kill your time with this.
2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some millionaires hate Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2021, 05:12:24 PM
1. Warren Buffett doesn't understand technology
That's exactly what I say because for him, the concept of this Blockchain technology is not easy for him to understand and it seems he has this principle of "to see is to believe", we know Bitcoin was working through code and algorithm and backed with math principles, it means it's a fully digital currency and thinks that this Bitcoin was an unproductive asset not like stocks considering its a productive asset.

In other rich people's minds, they only invest what they know.  Because they think that volatility + risk is disagreeable for them to put and trust their money.  They're surrounded by the hype and that's probably they afraid to invest in Bitcoin and thinking that it's easy to manipulate the price.

But who knows, they secretly invested in Bitcoin without knowing the public.
2144  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to get news about crypto as soon as possibile on: June 11, 2021, 04:43:07 PM
If you keep track of the latest news on twitter, don't just follow one person, follow several other important accounts that discuss the latest cryptocurrency news. there are many important accounts that must be followed. by following it all the information will be obtained every day. The most important thing is to manage every incoming information, do not participate in spreading FUD which will certainly make the fundamentals not good.
I tend to agree with this, I joined different news Telegram channels and on Twitter too.  When there's hot news that will come related to crypto, most of them have almost the same information have shared and that's the time I can compare which one of them delivered an inaccurate result of information, one I proved it, I quickly unfollow them.

Twitter and Telegram are the best social media where to gather such news and another factor is when there are also websites that full of ads when you open them, which's quite annoying.
2145  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the deal with Coinxtraders? Surely it's a scam, right? on: June 10, 2021, 04:08:53 PM
.. But in this case specifically its so damn convincing.
I suspected that the 0.5BTC isn't yours and there's someone who asked you for help to withdraw his fund on the exchange that you have said.

I've done this before and almost convinced me to deposit first before I can withdraw the fund on the exchange that he said to me, and create an account to send his fund so that I can withdraw the Bitcoin.  But when I trying to withdraw, it says, I need to deposit first before the withdraw button will enable.  That makes sense to me and get alarmed to start to think that it was a scam.

Probably this case the same as the OP said and please tell us here if that is a case, because from the start, how you will trust the exchange deposit that big amount without knowing any feedback.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My transaction has been unconfirmed for over 12 hours because of low fees on: June 10, 2021, 03:12:39 PM
..should i wait till eternity or will get confirmed soon?
No, more or less it might 14 days if your transaction stuck due to the low fees, otherwise, if your transaction will be forgotten by the network it will return to the sender's wallet.  AFAIK, the node will automatically reject those lowest fee transactions in order for the node will accept those higher transactions.  This because mempool has no limited space, based on my understanding it's only 300MB, once the capacity has been reached it will select new transactions that higher than the required amount of the mempool.

All said above was right, they explained it very well and I hope you understand now that paying a small fee will result of stuck transaction, always refer to https://mempool.emzy.de/ for the right transaction fee.
2147  Economy / Reputation / Re: Action against: @AssistentYoshieAndFriends. on: June 10, 2021, 02:30:51 PM
Presumably, this Telegram account will probably use blackmailing members here inside the forum IMO.  And it might also this impersonator pretending to be assistant both of you and might also have an account here, they know how active both of you busting scammers and cheaters here in the forum.

Telegram was a house of scammers, it's really hard to trust if someone will send you a PM first there.

Thank you for this thread of clarification both of you, as showing support, I also reported that user account, I believed the more user will report, the more chances that account will get “SCAM” sign/badge next to its username, or else they will have a restriction of their account not to send PM first (unsolicited PMs) but they will able to reply, that's fair enough for them.

We can see Telegram FAQ-spam here.
2148  Economy / Speculation / Re: The calm before the storm? on: June 08, 2021, 11:46:10 PM
I think it's time to move your Bitcoin right now, if you've used a non-SegWit wallet, it's better to move them now into the Segwit wallet address which you can set into a lower fee and have full control over your Bitcoin.

I've checked yesterday and it was around 5 sats for the minimum fee and now, 1 sats?  This is the first time I saw the minimum fees into the network is 1 sat.  It means the Bitcoin network isn't congested, good to see if the transaction were always like this.

Is everybody waiting for... something? Roll Eyes
Probably that is the reason, it means it's good news because people learn now how to hold and didn't get panic.
2149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where is giveaway thread? on: June 08, 2021, 11:32:21 PM
I want to earn free BTC, but I do not know how to do it. Whould someone help me to do it?
You can try faucet sites like Freebitco.in, but the earning is not encouraging.
Actually, I saw this thread of @Pmalek on the gambling discussion board regarding all gambling sites that have faucets.  But I don't know how much the minimum before you can withdraw the amount that comes from the faucet and it might take years before you can do that even you are actively collecting the faucet.

I attend agree above, there's no way to get Bitcoin free and no one will give it on the internet, everything has an exchange, like completing a task or a service that you give to them.  If you have skills enough like a freelance job online, there's a chance that you can earn but as I heard, there are too many people looking for that opportunity since everyone almost stayed at home.

Anyway, just try to look at the Games and rounds board, sometimes there were contests there that give free Bitcoin, you might have luck there.
2150  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking escrow that support accounts on: June 08, 2021, 10:53:54 PM
PM who can do it. I will select only best reputation users.
As they said above, no one reputed Bitcointalk member will accept your offer, this will surely ruin their reputation once they caught, it's very risky for their side.  Okay let say you have that bought account, you may also determine that your account was bought because of the posting history, there are too many possible signs of changes account hand owner and once you've been proven for that, your bought account will on risk too like having negative feedback under your profile.

So I suggest you build your own account, buying or either selling account here was strictly prohibited.  There's alink above shared of buying copper membership which good to go if your purpose making announcement thread for your business.

I think you now completely understand the circumstances of buying a Bitcointalk account.
2151  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to get news about crypto as soon as possibile on: June 08, 2021, 10:34:35 PM
..but I'm talking about something like live stream news.
I don't know how accurate they are in giving updates on the news and this might what you're looking for.  https://www.cnbc.com/bitcoin/.

Most all the time Coindesk and Cointelegram are the most well-known when we talking about news update because they had a Telegram Community which notifies you when there's news.

Actually, there are more plenty of websites that give you news.
2152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcointalk Market Sentiment Poll 6/8/2021 on: June 08, 2021, 04:54:50 PM
i will only go bearish if price drops down to the $20k range and stays there for at least a week otherwise i remain undecided and am mostly buying bitcoin whenever it dips a little touching the bottom repeatedly and wait for the bull run to resume.
It seems right that Bitcoin will at a price range of $20k within a few months or it might stay with that range throughout this year.
Based on the site that I mostly visit when I want to predict the market, it's Bitcoin Price Prediction..., it says there that we might encounter long blood bath in the market so it might be a Bearish trend will be waving ahead IMO.  So I voted for Bearish.

But that's only my own prediction and it will remain there since no one will accurately predict the market.  It could be there's from others who can give a good technical explanation on this.

However, I will wait for Bitcoin will reach that price range of $20k, it might be that's a good investment point.
2153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about bitcoin taxes and signature campaign payment on this forum on: June 08, 2021, 04:23:31 PM
With all I have read about crypto taxes, I do not yet know how I should pay crypto tax for any signature campaign paid on this forum unless the bitcoin paid later has net increase. But if it has not yet increase in value, this means no taxes to be paid. Is that correct?
In a short answer, it is a big yes.

It's considered a regular taxable income, even let's say from mining, they earn Bitcoins through mining, freelancer job or even in the airdrop they are also entitled to pay tax, or as payment for services or goods also count as a regular taxable income.  I tend to agree with @hatshepsut93 that you owe tax on the entire value of the Bitcoin on that day that you received it in your tax rate.

Because every time that you have transactions on Bitcoin it counts as taxable no matter how small the value.
2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There's no lottery ticket in Bitcoin, it's a savings account on: June 08, 2021, 03:58:23 PM
How come it becomes a lottery, I didn't saw a logic there.

But I tend to agree with you, that's a good saving process.  It seems good if you invest 5% of your monthly income into Bitcoin no matter what the price is.  We know Bitcoin is very volatile and as I noticed, the best to buy Bitcoin is on weekends because the fees also dropped at that time.

You must first understand very well how Bitcoiin will work, the volatile nature should must you understand.  In that way, you might didn't turn into a panic seller when you will hear a FUD.

You won't lose your home or have to move back into your parents' house
Should always pay attention to what you can afford to lose.
2155  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do bitcoin ATMs do with your phone number? on: June 08, 2021, 02:57:48 PM
Are they legally required to ask for your number or do they want it for themselves?
There are too many brands of Bitcoin ATM Machines out there and each of them has different policies and it depends on where they are located at.  I think not all of them are required to have a phone number or even ID verification.  They required a phone because of the SMS verification and I think there's no way to bypass that.  Not unless if you're using a third-party person to get a code upon your purchasing.

Quote
Are there any free online numbers that will work?
I don't know this but I saw somewhere else that he can do a bunch of SMS verifications in a different country but I don't know if that service is safe.
My advice is, buy a cheap phone that has a Simcard for that purpose.
2156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let's say you have a large amount of BTC and you on: June 07, 2021, 11:51:43 PM
If you will convert it all at once into cash, you will really have a headache about how to get your money in the bank, you might need to explain to them the source of the fund and the worst is might they will freeze your fund since let assume it is about millions of dollars, it could be suspected you as a money laundering.

Probably it is good if you will convert it little by little or into a small chunk per day.  Using Bitcoin mixer service could increase your anonymity when you decided to cash out your large amount of Bitcoin and then transfer it into different addresses that under manage by the holder.
2157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did You Know? - 32 Companies Now Hold Bitcoin on: June 07, 2021, 11:38:02 PM
I thought Telsa company has been sold their all Bitcoin after Elon Musk spreading FUD on it and might the reason for having a huge dip in the Bitcoin price.
Is there anyone who can verify this because AFAIK, Tesla company now didn't accept Bitcoin anymore as payment.

But yet, this is proven that the large holders are those big institutional investors and yes, we're should be thankful to them they made the Bitcoin price up but there's a risk on them, they might become a whale when let say, 1-3 companies have the same decision of selling their assets.  It could have a huge impact on the price in the market for sure.

The thing that we consider it will become bearish when there are other companies that will follow of adopting Bitcoin and never sell it whatever happens.
2158  Economy / Reputation / Re: I'm not Little Mouse on: June 07, 2021, 04:45:38 PM
Lol, what a coincidence.

I didn't even hear this project before but it seems there's a Telegram in my local (Philippines) when I'd quick researched on Telegram groups and I don't think why they become shitcoin, I saw they are very active on Telegram or they just pump and dump the token.

But actually, that's not an issue here, a good thing you have made a thread to clarify that you don't have any connection to them.

Just one last question, what if they will hire you here to run a signature campaign and have a good offer.  Cheesy
2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time to invest in Bitcoin on: June 07, 2021, 03:57:37 PM
First, welcome to the forum, I saw your post on Reddit the same content that you have shared here.  I hope you're the same owner.

Now, it's a good thing that you're awake.  Bitcoin investment is a high potential that you can get profit, but this doesn't have any time frame when you will need to cash out your money.  You should wait for a perfect time of selling your Bitcoin.

if you've already done your homework and decided to purchase Bitcoin, now is a good time to do so. Investments in cryptocurrencies are risky and unproven. As a consequence, higher returns are possible, but there is also a higher risk
Unproven?  Look at the previous price chart of Bitcoin price, there's an increase in the last few years.  If you bought 1 bitcoin and there's a sudden correction, all you have to do is to wait when the price surge back.  If you hold 1 Bitcoin, it will remain the same amount at the end, nothing will lose, not unless if you will sell while at the low price.
2160  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Issue with virus on: June 07, 2021, 03:17:32 PM
I may suggest you read this Clipboard virus (Free Instructions) - Removal Guide.

I suspected that still belongs to the Trojan virus, you should have a full scan of your computer have used if you suspected that there's unusual behavior in your PC, like also running slow your computer while browsing in your computer.  In the above link that I have shared, there's a guide on how to clean your PC safe and you should take an action before the intruder will get your fund.  As soon as possible, clean your PC now.

Make sure that your account on exchange has multiple layers of security, like enabling 2FA verification.  Scammer won't execute withdrawal without your permission.
